Parents and students can view the grades from home with an assigned username and password. Programs like IG Pro and Power School save the professors valuable time.

Motivation
Computers bridge home and school as kids showcase their technological expertise and gain a sense of accomplishment. The computers increase the student's desire to learn about a particular topic.

Software
The software created for kids is fun. The tedium of rote memorization is replaced with interactive math and reading games. Puzzles and higher order thinking games encourage students to solve problems.

Naysayers
Critics say " technology schmectology " believing that computers are similar to television and movies. Computers are viewed as time fillers that take away from productive learning time. The more parents are informed about computers, the more receptive they are to technology.

X-rays and CT scans use radiation to produce images of a patient's internal structure. X-rays allow for viewing of the internal structure of the patient. CT scanning on the other hand uses computer technology to take several X-ray images that are two-dimensional cross-sections and turn them into a multidimensional picture that doctors use to make diagnosis.

Spectroscopy

Spectroscopy is the process of irradiating a substance, such as biopsy tissue, and examining the reflected or transmitted radiation patterns. A number of different spectroscopy methods have been developed to measure different energy characteristics. The reflected or transmitted radiation is analyzed by a computer that determines which wavelengths are present or missing. This pattern is then compared to a database of known substances to find a match.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Magnetic Resonance Imagining, known as MRI, is the process of using strong magnetic fields to map the patient's internal structure and activity. MRI is used to produce detailed images of soft tissue in the body without using radiation. The bio-electrical activity in the body is detected by the MRI and fed to a computer that interprets the structure of the are being scanned and presents a three-dimensional presentation of electrical activity in the region, this allows the doctors to search for physical and operational defects.

Patient Monitoring

Patients in a hospital are connected to machines that use vital statistics monitoring software to record the pulse, oxygen levels and the blood pressure of the patients.These computers are programmed to notify the staff if any of these statistics move outside of acceptable ranges.

The computer-controlled surgeries allow doctors to save the lives of patients many miles away.Video networking and real-time vital statistics monitoring allow for safe, precise surgeries that are observed by on-staff doctors or students.

Battlefield 3

Big maps and vehicles make everything better.

After the release of Battlefield Bad Company 2 , DICE will release Battlefield 3. The maps will be bigger than the maps from BFBC2 and there will be more vehicles (Tanks, APCs, Helicopters, Jets and Transport vehicles).
Battlefield 3 will be using the Frostbite 2.0 engine. This engine is commonly thought to be the engine behind BFBC - BFBC2. DICE has made it clear that no games have ever used the technology of Frostbite 2. Frostbite 2 will probably offer the best audio, environmental and graphical advancements. Expectations of the engine are based off of previous improvements from 1.0 - 1.5, expect better physics, better sound, a more destructable environment, improved textures, and real-time weather changing.
