It has been pretty quite on this blog and I was wondering would I should do with it. Sell it? Nay … too many good memories. So I have decided to keep blogging but mostly with Ireland tourist information. With hotel and hostel recommendations and general Ireland Tips and Tricks.

So here the first recommendation for places to stay when on a budget – Yeats Village in Sligo:

This a great place to stay when exploring the Sligo area … for example hiking the Benbulben.

Only 10 minutes drive from beaches, golf clubs, horse riding and the stunning scenery, which make the North West that unique place for your special holiday.
At Yeats Village you will find a selection of facilities to enhance your stay. Shops, Pubs, Restaurants and Sligo Town Centre with it`s entertainment venues are all within minutes walking distance.
Facilities on Yeats Village include:
• Residential staff
• Village office
• 24 Hour Security
• Ample Car Parking
• Bicycle Sheds
• Economical Heating
• Launderette
• Refuse collection
• Swipe cards
• Village office
• A selection of apartments are designed for use by persons with disabilities

I am not a big Whiskey drinker but since a friend of ours introduced us to "Connemara – Peated Single Malt" Irish Whiskey I found my new favorite liquor. This is the best tasting whiskey I have tried. You can taste the smoky barrel, honey and if you take big sip you can even see the green hills of Ireland before you.

So I bought a bottle and put it one in our moving boxes, as a treat for us when they arrive here.

2 weeks late, the boxes are finally here and as you can see the bottle is cracked open. Cheers!

What is your favorite Whiskey – talk about it on the Ireland Forum.

So Friday was my last morning in Killala – County Mayo. The town I lived for 1 1/2 years. We wanted to be in the middle of nowhere right on the ocean. And Killala was everything we were hoping for. The time we had there we will never forgot. I stoped one when I was all packed up at the harbor street to take some moody pictures of foggy Killala Bay in the morning.

If you live in County Mayo you probably have seen this poster around. I thought it was just an ad for a comedian or something but it turns out it’s for Liam Geddes from Ballina. He is in the final six of the Irish contestants for the Eurovision 2008 in Belgrade. Which I will attend as well, not as a singer but I will hopefully get tickets to see the show. Why? Well, my mom is from Serbia and I still have family in Belgrade and I always said … if Serbia ever wins the Eurosvision I will try to make it for the big event.

I was trying to find videos of Liam Geddes but had no luck. Or at least an MP3 of his song "Sometimes"! Any Idea?

Well, Good Luck Liam and in case you will be representing Ireland in Serbia, would you be up for an interview?
