<title><![CDATA[Development Project Manager (Long Term Contractor) - Leesburg (BOEING SNOC), VA]]></title>

Iridium Satellite LLC is a leader in the provision of satellite-based wireless communications services designed to provide telephone, messaging and data transmissions on a global basis. 
 
We are seeking a Development Project Manager who will assist us with the development of a new iridium solution.  This will be a long term contract assignment, and the candidate will be issued a 1099 for tax reporting purposes.

This location may work out of Bethesda, MD, or Leesburg, VA, depending on which location is best suited for our final candidate.

DUTIES

Our Development Project Manager will:

*	Develop Project documentation including schedule, budgets and project plans.
*	Define processes required for project/programs.
*	Coordinate project team and resolve team conflicts to ensure project team works together.
*	Lead project teams to fulfill project mission and meet program goals.
*	Updated and maintain schedules and plans (get updates from leads and integrate into schedule).
*	Update and maintain Budgets
*	Report schedule/budget issues to the program manager or Sr. Management as required.
*	Define, update and maintain metric data for projects.
*	Maintain documentation directory making sure all documents that need to be there are there and up to date.
*	Follow-up on action item program meetings 
*	Provide Coordination between the technical teams, systems engineering, manufacturing, and marketing.
*	Resolve Schedule or budget issues
*	Hold program meetings and ensure meetings meet program process
*	Coordinate alpha testing
*	Participate in Beta testing for product release as Technical Lead
*	Review test results and coordinate correction of issues through the testing phase.
*	Lead CCB and coordinate meetings and ensure identified anomalies are covered in test plans.
*	Provide inter-department coordination for product and service development
 

QUALIFICATIONS

*	BS Degree ( engineering preferred)
*	PMP certification
*	Five or more years experience in project management of technical project teams.
*	Excellent speaking and writing skills
*	Advanced understanding a skills in use of Microsoft tools such as Word, Project and Excel.
*	Leadership qualities and experience leading multi-discipline, multi located teams.
*	Demonstrated ability to work independently
*	Hardware or Embedded Software design experience desirable
*	Experience with government project reporting and documentation is a plus

<title><![CDATA[Director, Revenue Recognition & Accounting - Tempe, AZ]]></title>

Summary

Reporting to the Corporate Controller this position requires a highly motivated, detail and service orientated individual to be responsible for managing the worldwide revenue recognition function for Iridium.  Working closely with the internal Sales and Marketing and Contracts organizations, this position will be required to research various revenue related issues and provide timely opinion and guidance to senior management.  Areas of responsibility include:  
*  Develop, implement and maintain processes and procedures for accurate and timely revenue recognition for both commercial and government revenue streams.  In addition,  recommend, recommend and implement process improvements.  
*  Work with sales, services, sales operations, forecasting and budgeting departments to provide revenue-related technical expertise and review fair value assessments
*  Work closely with the contracts department to review sales contracts, reduce contract related issues and provide technical guidance to ensure proper revenue recognition. 
*  Analyze and understand various product offerings and revenue/expense streams to ensure proper revenue recognition and financial system set-up. 
*  Perform and review monthly revenue, expense, deferred revenue, deferred costs and account reconciliations.
*  Prepare monthly revenue reports for management which includes variance analysis of revenue accounts and associated expense accounts against prior periods, budget and forecast. 
*  Close monthly and semi-monthly revenue and expense ledgers within stated closing schedules.
*  Support various special projects as required.

Requirements

*  Technical revenue recognition accounting knowledge including EITF 00-21, SAB 104, SOP 97-2. 
*  Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 
*  Significant experience with government contracting revenue including  SOP 81-1 and the FAR 
*  Strong overall leadership, management and organizational skills  
*  Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic fast-paced environment 
*  Detail oriented with excellent analytic, interest in identifying and fixing problems. 
*  Ability to identify key risk areas, contemplates alternatives, draw conclusions and recommend and implement changes to improve processes and mitigate risk. 
*  Ability to effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate with varying levels of employees and senior management to drive sound business decisions.
*  Ability to set and achieve individual and departmental goals consistent with the overall company objectives.
*  Ability to work independently with minimal direction by management.
*  Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills. 

Education/Experience

*  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, MBA and/or CPA preferred.
*  10-12- years accounting experience at a large and/or high tech company, including two years "Big 4" public accounting/audit and 3 years management experience. 
*  Strong computer skills including general ledger/accounting systems.  Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

We are seeking two summer interns with a Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering focus to help our R&amp;amp;D department with product test and various other tasks associated with our satellite handset, and subscriber equipment. Located out of Leesburg, VA, you will work out of a state of the art Boeing facility called the Satellite Network Operations Center (SNOC).



DUTIES

Our summer interns will: 
*	Assist with the configuration and population of the document control system
*	Import bill of materials from Excel files into the Parts and Vendor system
*	Generate Iridium part numbers in Parts &amp;amp; Vendor system to standardize our Bill Of Materials
*	Collect and establish standardized templates for the various subscriber products
*	Proof read the subscriber products user documentation and make suggestions for future edits
*	Assist with the testing of subscriber products
*	Help organize the testing Lab at the SNOC establishing a system to index and store golden samples of subscriber products 
*	Assist in fault isolation and root cause analysis of returned subscriber equipment
*	Assist the engineering group with shipping and handling tasks
*	Configure the new version of Bugzilla to standardize and include fields to support problem tracking and analysis of Iridium subscriber products
*	Generate a data-base solution for documenting and tracking ECO/PCO that can be shared between manufacturing and engineering


QUALIFICATIONS

Creative, hardworking individuals sought.

Experience With:
Electronic lab test equipment.

Courses:
RF Circuit Design, Antenna Design, Electrical Engineering, Circuitry, Digital Circuit Design, and Computer Engineering coursework extremely helpful.  


Software Program Experience:
Microsoft Office Suite (Mandatory)
