Beware of Tutor Scam

A scam was recently and unsuccessfully attempted on a WVU student tutor. An e-mail request from "Amber" to provide math tutoring for her daughter "Kimberly" was the first point of contact. The return e-mail address is in the United Kingdom. The scam eventually involves a check from "Amber" in excess of an agreement and before any tutoring is scheduled. It appears to be a money laundering scheme. If you get an e-mail similar to this, please report it to the Information Security Services, and do NOT reply to it!
