{project 26} a day in the life…

time again for {project 26}’s post! almost didn’t get mine up, but here it is…a mish mash of sorts..but then…that would be accurate for our topic “a day in the life of me”. wishing it was more artistically crafted or visually appealing, but alas…these are our days as of late. may and june are absolute craziness for our family – always have been. in fact, one year ago, i was just weeks away from a full blown shingles attack that lasted all summer. this year is much better, and i’m thrilled! i’ve learned to take one day at a time, tend to messes later, surround myself with those that i love, and i’ve discovered the joy of coffee! (i’m a late bloomer…). i’m not fond of the photo of myself, but it happens to be the most important photo here. thanks for stopping by. have a look at the talented becky earl’s day in the life next! time again for our friday installment of {project 26} with this week’s topic of “dream dream dream”. i have always been so inspired by susan burnstine, an incredible artist who documented her night terrors and dreams through her alternative photography. her work was on my mind quite a bit this past week. instead of a night terror, i decided to document something not quite frightening, yet not exactly blissful either – an in between of sorts – which is where most of my own dreams lie. i very much enjoyed this week’s project, and hope to expand on it further as a personal project.

{project 26} takes my breath away

i’m very excited to share my first installment from a fabulous project i was invited to called “project 26″. every other friday, a group of (amazing!) photographers will be posting to a topic we have been given, creating a collection of inspiration that will continue through to the end of the year. there are some really wonderful topics planned and i’m excited to stretch my creativity on a regular basis. this week, our topic is “take my breath away”. we are allowed to interpret the topic as closely or as loosely as we would like. there are SO many things that take my breath away in this beautiful life, but one of the most breath taking things for me in photography is the capture of the wind. i never tire of the way it looks to wrap around you, creating it’s own shape.

this circle has an incredible group of photographers participating. please continue on and see what gina weathersby|kiwi street studios is offering this week! thank you to all of the ladies in the group that invited me to play. i know you will all be a wonderful source of inspiration!
