Tech issue about iAP & 2nd. generation iPod touch / [Murder DIEary] vol. 2 is coming. - iSeeToon news (Nov. 02. 2012)

Tech issue :
We found iAP for our App was not working properly. We fixed it for [Ill-fated relationship]. [Murder DIEary] will be fixed with Vol. 2 update. Also with latest iOS update & our App update, we can't support 2nd. generation iPhone / iPod Touch any more. If you have trouble with that, we'd gladly refund. Please use iTunes menu to proceed refund, or contact us to mrkwang@iseetoon.com

[Murder DIEary] vol. 2 is coming :
Finally we made it. [Murder DIEary] vol. 2 is coming. It will be distributed with [Murder DIEary] App w/ additional purchase. You will need to update App at then. Before release, we will use testflight to test app. We could ask some of you to join small group of beta test. We will post more information about that.

K-Pop is popular. So we could call [Murder DIEary] as K-thiller?

mrkwang is doing promotion for iSeeToon and it's comics. Every comics must have 1-line-copy to make them popular. I made 1-line sentences like below.

"Dark Romance comic for iPhone, Romance between 2 serial killers."
- Ill-fated relationship

"Dexter meets four-panel comics!"
- Murder DIEary

And 1 more word I can use, 'K-thriller'.

Recently 'K-pop' is popular word. Not everybody listens to them, however it's popular. Even 'K-drama' and 'K-MMORPG' are known. (Note: Nexon is NOT Korean company any more.) Recently even 'K-comics' is made by Korean government, not popular yet.

iSeeToon released 2 comics. They are all thriller about serial killers. So I think we can use 'K-thriller' word for us. Maybe I can make sentences like below.

"K-thriller masterpieces from iSeeToon!"
"Best K-thriller comics ever!"
... etc etc.

I must think about that more. However only 1 word can represent what we are releasing, it could be easier & better to promote.

P.S. : Thought about 'K-serial killer', but not cool. However 'K-Killer' is... well... little bit foolish but...

iSeeToon is from country of 'Gangnam Style'.

Psy's new music video 'Gangnam Style' became global hit. Youtube video gained over 12,000,000 plays (+ counting) within 3 weeks. It's really good music and music video, but nobody expected such a global hit. I got shocked when Destructoid posted about 'Gangnam Style'. Even CNN aired about that, 9gag made parody picture.

'Gangnam Style' is from Korea. iSeeToon is also from Korea. iSeeToon is not from 'Gangnam', however both of us are from Korea. So I'm thinking about using this copyright for Murder DIEary.

Killer Hero from the country of 'Gangnam Style'!

I'm not sure it will really work. However it's fun to imagine what's next for us, iSeetoon. :)

- 1st. translation of [Murder DIEary] vol. 2 ended.
- Need improvement for that, so checking once again.
- After checking 1st. translation, I'd ask great American freelance editor to do adaptation. (2nd. translation).

Diablo 3.

Diablo 3 is big wave all over the world.
Especially for Korean male youths, Diablo 3 is really big wave.
iSeeToon members are all Korean male youths.
So! iSeeToon team ride that big red wave.

Among 4 members of iSeeToon,
2 purchased as digital download,
1 got Limited Edition as gift(!),
1 not reported yet (but maybe yes).

Fortunately, battle.net protect us!

We can work not playing that great game!

Project Wonderful is the perfect advertisement platform for advertising iSeeToon's webtoons on comic blogs, manga blogs and web comic sites.

In the past, we've tested whether or not Project Wonderful works for us on certain sites. Now, we'd like to expand our advertising reach for our latest release, "Murder DIEary," a mixture of four-panel comics and Dexter-like, murderous drama available on the iPhone.

We could start an advertising campaign on Project Wonderful immediately, without your help, but we don't want to be just another advertiser. We'd like to connect and build a relationship with comic book blogs, manga blogs and web comic sites interested in helping us spread the word about our webtoons instead.

If your website or blog is affliated with Project Wonderful and is related to comics, manga or web comics, please send an e-mail to mrkwang@iseetoon.com with your site's name and URL. We will bid advertisement through Project Wonderful.

* Requirements
- Your site must be related to comics, manga or web comics. Even if slightly related, we will check.
- Your site must have over 500 pageviews on average, daily, for the past five days.
- You must have at least one Project Wonderful ad banner in a public area of the site. No ads hidden in members-only area or away from the main area of the site.
- Every banner size is available except for button size (117 by 30.)

* What we will do
- Pay reasonable advertisement rates for putting our ad on your site.
- We will write 1 article which is about PW, and link to your blog or web comic there.
