At his time this bridge had it all better then the rest :

- 3 Viewers : TFT, bridge-viewer and top.
- Biggest Lithium Battery : + 500 shots.
- Biggest display screen : 3.5 TFT.
- Biggest zoom : 15x optical Schneider-Kreuznach.

Even the poor ISO-max of 400 did not interfer with the very good image quality of the beast.

Samsung did it again!

(Ok, they copy the Sony DSC-F828 a bit, bit I forgive them.)

Dated from Januari 2002, this DSLR from Fuji has it all : Nikon F-mount, the technical aspects of a modern DSLR, a 6 Million pixels honeycomb sensor that can be interpolated to 12 Million pixels, and 6 batteries! A bit slow while recording, a rather small display, but for 90 Euro I cannot complain! (Thanks to Björn Pira for the sell)

The main problem with infrared photography is that the wellknown R72 filter is damned dark. I bought this filter thinking is was an easy way on my DSLR. But I was wrong, in broad daylight there is nothing to see... So puzzeling around in my photogear I made this combo : Leica M8, an Nikon F-mount adapter to LTM and for the lens a Nikon Serie E 28mm, 1 : 2.8. The rangefinder can be used and everything is clear! The lens is not the fastest but it works very well and it has the "red dot" needed for actual infrared focussing.

If you don't want to break your wallet empty with Leica lenses, a nice option is to buy a russian copy of early Leicas, like the Zorki or Fed. They cost on Evilbay around the 50 Euro, then a 50mm M39 - LTM adapter on the same site for 10 Euro. This one has the Industar-22, in fact a russian copy of the Elmar. The results are maybe not so perfect as the Elmar, but they are pretty acceptable. You got also this typical ancient feeling to shoot analog on digital.
At the end my M8 told me : "What have I done to deserve this".

Another member of the Canomatic Brotherhood. This version is a bit cheaper in designs and technics : manual filmwinder, no flash and the metal piece that makes it heavy is sadly missing. Nippon stands for japanese made Nikon and AR-4392F, means that there are probably a huge numbers of previous versions.

If you want to be part of a hype today, you need to buy : "Heavily Commercialised with A-lot-of Advertised Brand-Stamped Things that your Hyper Neighbour has and that you still not have, but will have, because it's Annoying that your Neighbour is Hyper then Yourself".

Ok besides this, it's a fake SLR and analog filmcamera.

It has 2 viewers, point-and-shoot and a topviewer.

It has a motorwinder, a automatic fash and a motorized zoom, wich I don't know the exact the focal-lenght, probably around 50mm.

To make a strong and heavy feeling, there is some metal pieces in it, that are coming loose after a while.

A nice Robocop-sound is made wen zooming and focussing(?).

The exposure is automatic and only works when the flash is up.

A digital LCD screen on top with : counter, selftimer, film-rewinder, red-eye reduction and some kind of remote controller.

The lens has a fantastic 50mm, 6.3 - 16 plastic pinhole free focus color made-in japan lens.

I just figured what the zoom does : it's a motorized aperture-mechanism for the exposure that is indicated on a small sticker with suns and clouds, you can use it by pushing 2 big red buttons forward and backwards...

I would call the it the Ultimate-I-Analoge-Camera.

End of the line for the Minolta Hi-Matics, missing the beauty of the first models. The camera is fully plastic, has a film-motor, automatic exposure, a build-in flash and autofocus, more improvements were hard to made.

One of the simple models of the Paxina-line. The lens is collapsible, 3 speeds, 3 diaphragma sizes, 9 possible exposures. Easy to diy a pinhole-camera, removing the lens and just add a pinplate, the collapsed lens is close to the negative to have relatively wide shots.

3D, but four lenses. Nowadays some companies still develop the lenticular 3D pictures. Interesting is that besides this technique, the camera can be used for simple stereoscopic pictures, cross-eyed or parallel. By cutting of the negatif separation inside the camera it's possible to make a panoramic of it.
