For the pleasure of our beloved spiritual master, Lokanath Maharaja, and Srila Prabhupada we began organizing one-day padayatras in the Alibag area. By the mercy of Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai and our spiritual master, we have now successfully completed fifty padayatras, covering more than 150 villages.

Our first padayatra went to my native village, Thal. We started from Alibag, which is about seven kilometers away, at 6am and reached Thal at 8am. Our respected MLA, Shri Mahendra Dalvi, warmly welcomed the padayatra. At that time, however, we had very little experience in organizing such events. As a result, only a few villagers came for the darsana of Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai.

Learning from that experience, we formed an advance party from the second padayatra onward. This proved to be very effective. As the advance team informed the villagers of the padayatra, many people gathered to welcome Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai with great enthusiasm. In some villages, people initially hesitated to welcome us because they were unfamiliar with our Sanatana Vedic culture. However, after arranging spiritual lectures and introducing residents to the purpose of the padayatra, they gladly welcomed us into their homes and villages.

One of the most heartwarming experiences was that almost every village requested us to accept breakfast and lunch prasadam. In several places, the entire Gram Panchayat organized a grand welcome. In some villages, the Sarpancha arranged traditional Lazim (Maharashtrian folk dance) performances and Bhajan groups, making the padayatra even more joyful and inspiring.

Many devotees and villagers performed the worship of Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai by offering flower garlands and donations. These contributions were very helpful in arranging prasadam for the participants.

One of our greatest achievements has been the dedication of our sankirtan team. They always arrived punctually at the starting point, and I am deeply grateful for their sincere service. The sankirtan party is extremely powerful once the holy names begin; people naturally become attracted and join the procession with great enthusiasm.

On several occasions, school students, along with their teachers, also participated in the padayatra. Through these village visits, our entire team became acquainted with many temples that we had never visited before.

Since our padayatras are usually organized on Sundays, sometimes they coincide with Ekadashi. Even then, no one hesitates to participate, despite observing the fast. Every padayatra also includes a dedicated book-distribution team, whose members enthusiastically meet people and distribute transcendental literature.

All of this has been possible only by the causeless mercy of Lokanath Maharaja. We remain forever grateful and deeply affectionate toward him. There was also the constant guidance of our leader, Giriraj Govardhana Dasa; he attended all the padayatras and supported us in all ways.

I am also grateful to all the devotees of Alibag and those who would come from nearby areas to join the padayatris without fail, compromising their household activities. The Lord is surely very pleased with them.

All of you bless us that we continue with our padayatra journey eternally for the pleasure of Guru and Gauranga.

We celebrated Ram Navami in Jamkhed. It  is a census town in Ahmednagar now called as Ahilyanagar  district. I was discussing what arrangements should be done for Ramanavami celebration and as if Lord was listening to us.  Raja Parikshit Maharaj, w our Godbrother, he said we will all together celebrated a grand ramanavmi festival. Here at my house. We were very happy as thanked Lord for His mercy on us.

Sri Rama ki jai! He  arranged a stage and a large pandal in front of his house. It was  decorated very beautifully.

On the day of Rama Navami, everyone observed fasting until 12 noon.  Offerings were made not just chappan bhog (56 preparations), but more than 108 food items. Haribol. He had requested the people from the colony to prepare at least one offering each, and many of them brought preparations they had cooked themselves for the pleasure of the Lordships.

After the darsana,  abhishek ceremony was performed of our Sri Sri Nitai Guarasundar, and then all the offerings were presented to the Lordships.  There was Rama katha for the assembled devotees.Then Mahararti. All the devotees joined us in sankirtana and danced to their hearts content, it was very wonderful celebration.

In the evening, Gaura Aarti was performed. There was also a drama based on Lord Rama and His pastimes. In this way, everyone remained busy throughout the entire day. We had a very joyful and wonderful celebration there.

The All India Padayatra arrived at Srirangam, an island bounded by the Kaveri and Kollidam rivers in the city of Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, on 27 April 2026, staying there this time for three days.

There had been a temple president in Srirangam named Nandaputra Dasa, a disciple of Jayapataka Maharaja. In 1984, when the padayatra was travelling from Karnataka to Kerala, the Trivandrum temple president sent Nandaputra to Srirangam, saying, “Many Maharajas are coming, and there will be a grand welcome for Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai with elephants, camels, horses, and many devotees.” Around seventy-five devotees were due to arrive.

At that time Nandaputra was a college student and one of his student friends had accompanied him. But on the way to Srirangam, that friend returned to Trivandrum with all the clothes, money and belongings, leaving him alone. Nandaputra did not know whom to meet, how to arrange accommodations, or how to organize the welcome. He knew the local language, but not anyone residing there. He was worried and even crying, wondering how he could arrange everything for so many senior devotees and Maharajas.

Nandaputra had not eaten for two days, but as he sat in a Krishna temple sincerely praying to Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai he met an ISKCON life member and explained everything to him, saying, “I am from ISKCON, and an ISKCON padayatra is coming. Could you please help us a little?”

That life member kindly assisted by buying clothes for him, giving him shelter, and the next day gathering friends and people from various associations. Together they arranged accommodations, garlands and a grand welcome for all the devotees.

By the mercy of Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai, everything turned out beautifully, and Maharaja gave him many blessings. From there, Nandaputra eventually brought the padayatra all the way to Trivandrum, and when we met him he was very happy to remain with us throughout our stay.

At Srirangam the padayatris had very wonderful darsana. The name Srirangam comes from the Sriranga Vimana of Vishnu that became grounded at this place. Sri Ranganath Swami is manifested from Vaikuntha, and the deity is millions of years old. Maharaja Dasharatha, and later Lord Ramachandra, worshipped Him.

After the war in Lanka, when Ravana was defeated, Lord Rama became king. When leaving Ayodhya, Vibhishana (Ravana’s brother) told Lord Rama, “I cannot live without You.” Lord Rama then gave him the deity of Ranganath Swami and said, “There is no difference between Me and this deity. Take Him with you, but do not keep Him anywhere on the ground, because once placed He will not move further.”

Travelling towards Lanka, Vibhishana reached Srirangam. He needed to perform Gayatri and attend to nature’s call, so he handed the deity to someone for a short time. But the Lord became extremely heavy and remained there in Srirangam. When Vibhishana returned and tried to lift the deity, the Lord said, “I will remain here.”

Therefore, Ranganath Swami stayed in Srirangam. Even today, the deity faces south towards Lanka, blessing Vibhishana’s kingdom. People say that every afternoon, during the Raja bhoga offering, Vibhishana himself comes invisibly to offer bhoga to the Lord.

The devotees told us many such wonderful pastimes. During Caturmasya, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu had stayed at the house of Venkata Bhatta in Srirangam, where He personally carved His own set of Jagannatha deities which to this day reside close to the original Bhatta family home. The padayatris went for darsana of Jagannatha Baladev Subhadra maiya and met the pujari there, who blessed us all. We had katha kirtana there and honoured prasadam of Lord Jagannatha.

We also circumambulated the Sri Ranganath temple with our padayatra chariot, visited the birthplace of Gopal Bhatta Goswami, and took a holy dip in the Kaveri River along with our four-legged padayatris. The padayatris celebrated Narsimha Caturdasi at the Tiruchirappalli ISKCON temple with the temple devotees, and the next day moved towards Madhurai.

May Lord Ranganath bless us all to serve Sri Sri Nitai-Gaurasundar eternally.

By the grace of Srila Prabhupada and Gauranga Mahaprabhu, one gets many experiences  during Padayatra. Let me share one or two of them.

The most important part of Padayatra is the advance party. It is also the biggest challenge. Due to the influence of Kali-yuga, in many places there are very few cities and finding a place to stay is also difficult. The whole system works like an army or a circus. There is a tracker, a scooty for the advance party, chariot , and our oxen. The main question is  where to set up all this ?

Stray bulls also attack sometimes, so everything needs to be inside a compound. When we go out, we check 3 to 4 places  like schools, palaces, colleges, matha and temples   and from all of these, we select one final place.

Recently, we came out from the Punjab border area. Ahead was the old Punjab region which is now borders of Himachal Pradesh, earlier it was called Old Punjab, now it is called New Himachal.

I went out on the scooty to look for a place. I found a government rest house. I went to the man in charge, but he said, “Prabhuji, I don’t have the key right now. The government has opened a balwadi-anganwadi here, and the key stays with them.”

So, by Hari’s will, I moved on. About 1 km ahead, there was another temple. But there was no proper place to stay there, the compound was small, and stray dogs come there at night. We thought, okay, we can sleep in the open, somehow the night will pass. I asked a shopkeeper, and he also said, “Prabhuji, you can stay, but there are no good arrangements here.”

As I left that place, I suddenly noticed a road going further ahead. There was an old gurudwara-type place there. The family there had a Sikha  background  the wife belonged to a Sikh family. She had set up a small gurudwara in her home. Thakurji was also kept inside  so both Thakurji’s puja and the Sikh worship were happening there together.

Suddenly, Lord gave inspiration to the wife’s mind to look on this road. I took the motorcycle and went down. Just about 100 meters behind the gurudwara was someone’s house  I felt these must be the gurudwara people. I had gone there once as a child, long ago. I saw a man sitting outside and explained to him, “We are from Padayatra, which has come from Vrindavan.”

He was a very kind man, from a Brahman family. He said, “Only my son and I live here. Please come and stay  stay for a day or two, do your preaching here.” By Lords  grace, everything worked out. There was an open compound in front  he gave space for the oxen too. Everything was arranged nicely.

Later, we presented Bhagavad Gita to those people. He had called people from the village  we did katha, and kirtan there. This is how the advance party works.

The second incident happened when I had to come to Vrindavan for a meeting, and also to pick up some jewellery. It was nighttime. No bus was stopping. I thought, okay, let me keep doing japa and walk ahead. It was already 9:30 or 10:00 at night. I had not booked any Haryana road bus. I thought; let me walk 5 km to the bigger station.

Suddenly, I saw a black Scorpio behind me. A husband and wife were in it  they were receiving some prasad with a small light on. When they saw me, they stopped the car. It was actually a big Bolero. They said, “Prabhuji, you look troubled.”

I told them I had to go to Vrindavan and had stopped at this small station. They said, “Don’t worry at all.” They were from Delhi  they had a factory there that made bathroom fittings like taps and faucets. A bus was coming from Dharamshala behind us. Right at that moment, they got my ticket booked on that bus. They also offered food and took my number. I told them, “Come to Vrindavan sometime  I will take you for darsana”

This is how Lord takes care, He thinks, “This devotee has gone out for My work. He did not get time during the day to book anything. He is coming to My dhama. He needs help.” Lord  helps those who help themselves”. Lord  helps His own devotees.

The third incident happened recently in a border area of Punjab, where there are also hilly regions,  it is called the Kandi area. I had done the advance party work and finalized the place. On the road, we saw that ahead there was a downward slope  like the downward side of a flyover. It came to my mind, so I had the bulls untied. We took them forward by hand and tied them again at the front, so there would be balance. The chariot had weak brakes.

There were two or three devotees with me. They made me sit on top of the chariot to hold the brake. Two people walked behind to maintain balance. Suddenly, the balance of the chariot got disturbed. The brahmachari brother who was maintaining balance from the front fell down. Had there been a difference of 19 to 20 cm the chariot would have gone over him.

But then, by the grace of Sri Sri Gaura -Nitai, the chariot suddenly turned to the side on its own. It went ahead and there was an electric pole and a telephone pole, and beside it a small tree. The chariot got stuck there — as if Their Lordships stopped the chariot at that tree.

None of us got any injury. Everything was fine. A little while later, a tractor driver came. He called his people and they moved the cahriot to the side. Then the chariot rwas also repaired. This is how Lord shows so much grace on his devotees,  the devotees were not harmed, and the chariot  was also fixed.

Like this, many such incidents keep happening during Padayatra.

The Punjab-Haryana Padyatra started on 29 July 2024 from Vrindavan Dham and has

now reached Talwara in the Hoshiarpur district of northern Punjab. This padayatra is

especially for Punjab and Haryana, preaching Sanatan Dharma. Our four-legged

padayatris, Ram and Lakshman, support us and are very pleasant to walk with. Last

year we went to Prayagraj, and soon we will be completing two years of padayatra.

We pray to Sri Sri Radha Govind Dev, Banke Bihari, and for all the people of Talwara.

On the occasion of Narsimha Chaturthi there was katha, kirtan, fifty-six bhoga, maha

arati, and maha abhishek at the Lakshmi Narayan Mandir. Also, Bhagavad-gita and

Srimad-Bhagavatam were distributed and the people were encouraged to chant mala.

Because India is a vast country, this is to preserve our Punjabi culture and practices,

and also to ensure that future generations follow them and remain free from any type of

addiction. We have on the chariot Sri Sri Nitai-Gaurasundar, who are Krishna-Balaram.

This year we will cover the north India states of Himachal, Punjab, Jammu, Haryana

and Chandigarh. Next year we will be at Haridwar for a mini Kumbha.

My message to all the readers is read Srimad Bhagavad-gita and follow the philosophy

so that the whole country will be happy and prosperous. I have a Bachelor of Ayurvedic

Medicine and Surgery degree, and in our ISKCON we have devotees with an Indian

Institute of Technology degree! We are involved in preaching around the globe.

In the Vaishnava tradition, padayatra is not just a journey, but a festival of awakening the soul. It is a medium through which harinama sankirtana reaches every person and inspires life toward the supreme goal.

Today’s padayatra from Hadapsar to Wanwadi in southern Pune, Maharashtra on 4^th April 2026 was a very inspiring and joyful experience for me. Walking with the devotees, when we all performed harinama sankirtana together, the whole atmosphere became filled with spiritual energy.

The sound “Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare” was not only reaching the ears but was directly touching the heart. During the journey there was certainly physical fatigue, but the joy of the devotees’ association and of chanting the holy name did not let me feel it. It seemed that with every step, the restlessness of the mind was disappearing and a wonderful peace was arising within. Seeing everyone’s enthusiasm, smiles, and devotional mood all around made my heart even more blissful.

This padayatra made me realize that real happiness is not in external objects but in the holy name of the Lord. Walking with harinama, singing and dancing, gives the soul deep satisfaction. It is not so much a journey, but a medium of spiritual awakening. Today’s experience will remain as a sweet memory in my life, which will always inspire me to move forward on the path of bhakti.

The most worshipable Lokanath Maharaja has proved this through his own life. When a disciple holds Srila Prabhupada’s order in the heart, then even an ordinary service becomes an extraordinary movement. Srila Prabhupada said, “Preach the holy name in every town and every village.”

This very instruction became the center of Maharaja’s life. He did not just hear this order, but made it the vow of his life. While other people look for comfort he chose the path of padayatra, barefoot with limited facilities, with only one purpose: to take harinama to every home.

This renunciation and dedication teaches us that a true devotee gives priority to the spiritual master’s order, not to his own convenience. Padayatra is the living execution of Srila Prabhupada’s instruction, and the life of Lokanath Maharaja is its direct example.

A sincere devotee takes inspiration from his conduct and understands the real meaning of service: to rise above one’s own happiness and distress and work only for the pleasure of guru and Krishna. Ultimately, padayatra teaches us that when we move forward step by step with harinama sankirtana, those steps are not only on the earth; they are also steps toward the elevation of our soul.

During the padayatra, a very wonderful and emotional scene was witnessed. A dog also became a companion with us throughout the entire walk. He seemed not like an ordinary creature, but behaved just like a faithful devotee. The whole way he walked peacefully and appeared to be taking full advantage of the harinama sankirtana.

Whenever the sound of kirtana resounded, “Hare Krishna Hare Krishna…” that dog also attentively moved in the same direction, as if he had a special attraction to this divine vibration. The most astonishing thing was that he stayed the entire time right alongside the Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai chariot, as if engaged in Their service.

This scene teaches us that the mercy of the Lord is not limited to human beings. Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai, by Their causeless mercy, bestow compassion on every living entity.

Throughout the route, through harinama sankirtana, They were showering Their mercy upon all the faithful souls whether they were humans or any other creatures.

This incident deeply touched the heart and revealed that the power of the holy name is so divine that it can attract the heart of any living being. Truly, this padayatra is not only for human beings, but is an agency for the welfare of every living soul.

On 30 April 2026 the padayatris of the Punjab-Haryana Padayatra, along with the local congregation of Talwara, joyfully celebrated Narasimha Caturdasi at Vishwakarma Mandir in Talwara Township, Punjab. Held from 5pm to 7pm, the festival brought together around 450 devotees and well-wishers, filling the evening with devotion, kirtan, and spiritual joy.

The padayatris had planned to observe this auspicious appearance day of Lord Narasimhadeva, although the location had not yet been finalized. Earlier that morning, while moving through the streets of Talwara, the padayatra party was engaged in its regular service of chanting the holy names, dancing in sankirtan, distributing prasadam, and sharing the teachings of A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada through the distribution of his books. During the course of the day, by the Lord’s kind arrangement, an opportunity arose to organize the celebration at Vishwakarma Mandir.

What remained uncertain in the morning beautifully unfolded into a memorable festival by the evening. The program began with the abhishek of Sri Sri Nitai-Gaurasundar, offered with heartfelt devotion and prayers. Very soon the temple atmosphere became spiritually surcharged as the local residents enthusiastically joined in sankirtan and dancing, saturating the surroundings with the joyful vibration of the holy names.

A special 56-bhoga offering to Lord Narasimhadeva was lovingly prepared and offered with devotion. The pleasing arrangement reflected the enthusiasm, cooperation, and heartfelt service mood of all the local residents involved.

As evening approached, all assembled gathered for Sandhya arati, followed by the deeply moving Narasimha arati. With folded hands and sincere prayers, devotees sought the blessings of Lord Narasimhadeva, the eternal protector of His devotees. The devotional atmosphere was enhanced with gratitude, reverence, and spiritual happiness.

One of the most cherished parts of the celebration was the prasadam distribution. The entire prasadam preparation and management was carefully overseen by our beloved padayatri god- brother, Kripa Sagar Prabhu. By the Lord’s mercy, the devotees and guests then honored prasadam, which was deeply appreciated by all. Many of them happily expressed how much they relished the prasadam, which added even more warmth and joy to the occasion.

For the padayatris, this Narasimha Caturdasi celebration under the guidance of the leader Radhikavallabh Prabhu became a reminder of how the Lord personally guides devotional service at every step. What began as a day of padayatra through the streets of Talwara turned into a memorable festival of devotion by the mercy and arrangement of Lord Narasimhadeva and Sri Sri Nitai-Gaurasundar.

May Lord Narasimhadeva continue to protect all devotees, remove obstacles from the path of devotional service, and bless everyone with firm faith and steady advancement in Krishna consciousness.

By the causeless mercy of Guru and Gauranga, and special guidance of All-India Padayatra leader Acarya Prabhu, the first year of the Proddatur Padayatra in Andhra Pradesh has been completed successfully and we are now stepping into our second year.

We celebrated this milestone in the form of a three-day grand pandal program attended by approximately 1,000 devotees from various ISKCON temples in India. This padayatra is being conducted under the guidance of ISKCON Proddatur president Madhresh Prabhu, who keeps us enthused. I thank the many devotees who have helped us with the padayatra by donating groceries and walking with us. In this service, four of us brahmacharis are working together to carry the padayatra forward.

I would like to share an important point. In Maharashtra, every year there is the Dindi Yatra, where all Maharashtra padayatris join the Pandharpur Wari walking from Pune to Pandharpur Dhama. In a similar way, we are trying to establish the same tradition here in Andhra Pradesh. As soon as the Sri Rama Navami festival concludes, we will begin an annual padayatra from Ahobilam to Tirupati. We have taken a vow to organize this padayatra just like the Dindi Yatra.

Through the Proddatur Padayatra we are able to conduct preaching activities in four to five districts. Although it does not fully cover every place, it allows us to reach the major areas. After completing this route, we continue our preaching in the surrounding districts.

We celebrated padayatra’s first birthday at Ahobilam, the place where the padayatra started. Together with the congregation devotees we decorated the chariot and the divine oxen. We invited the head pujari of the Ahobilam temple and he blessed us and congratulated us for the successful completion of one year. Madhresh Prabhu drove the chariot and we all did nagar sankirtan in the area surrounding the temple.

This yatra is continuing by the mercy of Acarya Prabhu, who is taking very good care of our padayatra. He keeps calling and guiding us. Madhresh Prabhu, along with Sakshat Narayan Prabhu, Sahastrajit Krishna Prabhu, Niranjan Govind Prabhu, and Yudhishthir Govind Prabhu are also giving very good support.

Special thanks to Ramapati Prabhu for always being ready to help us. In every emergency he had helped us and stood by our side. Devotees from many temples are also participating. Therefore, I would like to thank all the devotees and everyone who participated in the padayatra throughout the year.

The Bengal padayatris were staying in a colony in Suri, the administrative center of Birbhum district in West Bengal. There was a mataji, a devotee, living in that colony. One morning she had a dream where Sri Sri Nitai-Gaurasundar had come to her and she had performed Their arati. She then woke up and was very happy that she could remember how beautiful Their Lordships were and could even describe Their dress and jewelry. Later that evening a miracle happened. As we were going for nagar sankirtana on the streets and our chariot was moving ahead and sankirtana was going on, a lady came and was shocked to have darsana of Sri Sri Nitai-Gaurasundar ki jai. She almost had tears in her eyes. When I inquired she shared her dream from that morning.

Mataji said that after mangala-arati she was feeling tired and had fallen asleep. In the dream she was performing arati, while her husband was saying “give me something to eat.” Mataji replied, “Eat later, I am performing arati. The Lord has come from Vrindavan.” At her request we went to her house with the utsava deities for a program. The Lord came to her house and she performed arati exactly as she had done in her dream. She also took a Srimad Bhagavatam set and gave us 7500 rupees as seva.

So the Lord gave a dream to His devotee and also fulfilled it in reality, where mataji saw this dream actually happen!

On March 25, 2026, ISKCON Sisupalgarh Girls Forum (IGF) successfully completed its inaugural Vaishnavi one-day padayatra.

The Sisupalgarh Vaishnavis were inspired to hold the event by our center leader, Trivikram Pandit Prabhu, along with Jayabhadra Devi Dasi, under whose guidance and training we are doing this seva. It is Jayabhadra who started these occasions so as to give matajis an experience of padayatras.

This was the first Vaishnavi Padayatra held in Odisha. Thirty matajis joined the walk which began at 9am from ISKCON Sisupalgarh with Sri Sri Nitai-Gaurasundar on a bullock cart. After a senior mataji had performed arati to Their Lordships, the Vaishnavis then walked in a disciplined manner in two lines. The IGF girls, dressed in Odia saris, distributed books and made announcements inviting ladies to join and chant the holy names.

Many devotees remarked that it was their great fortune to walk with Sri Sri Nitai-Gaurasundar and persuaded us to organize a Vaishnavi padayatra every month.

Our second padayatra was held on April 12. Almost 60 Vaishnavis joined the 4km walk, which started at 7am from Kalpana in Bhubaneswar and headed to the Lingaraj Temple, the city’s most prominent landmark.

In Odisha’s third Vaishnavi padayatra, held on May 3, the matajis distributed books and pamphlets, and enthusiastically chanted the holy names of the Lord.

Thanks to all the matajis for joining these events, especially my team who did all the preparations: Sushree Mataji, Manashi Mataji, Tulshi Mataji, and Sagarika Mataji.
