Sticking to the wrong concept

Why people stick to a wrong belief or a wrong judgement ?May be they simply don't know they are wrong , but is that the only reason? Or are there other causes that make people stick to a wrong concept.? Well I thought of many causes which will be listed here (in an unordered way),then each one will be discussed in more details in seperate posts in shaa Allah(God's willing).

Ignorance: Many might be believing strongly in their ideas , because they don't know the other correct concepts.They have never heard of these or they did, but was informed about them in a misleading way. While some blame falls on the victims of these wrong beliefs for not doing much more effort seeking the truth , the majority of the blame falls on the others who knew the truth ,yet didn't inform the world about it or at least didn't inform them in a correct way.

2. Arrogance: The big sin!! Arrogance means that you feel you're much better than the others and feel so proud with yourself.What does it have to do with all this? Well you feel that you can't be wrong and you don't want to admit you're wrong, so you keep sticking to the wrong beliefs.

3. Envy and Hate: Somehow overlapped with Arrogance. Just as you hate to be wrong , you hate that others are right and you hate them for that. You also envy them because you feel they are doing the right thing and you are doing the wrong , so you want them one day to go astray just like you (This is envy: To wish that people lose the good things they got).

4-Desires: We all got our desires, but they have to be controlled.They should not interfere with our judgmeent. The problem here is that some people are totally controlled my their desires and they would not change the wrong way they are walking in because it might mean they should give up some things that satisfy their desires..

5-Fear: Fear what? Fear losing my position , my money , my beloved ones. Fear people making fun of me. Fear the authorities capturing me.. If I say my opinion or the words of truth , all this might happen to me..

6-Habit: Some people do things OUT OF HABIT, for example, working in a job they don't like just as a routine with no ambition, no enjoyment , nothing.. They just found themselves there, and while this is acceptable as temporary job for the cash , it shouldn't be your permenant job(unless you start to like it).Same applies here..Some people just was taught a concept that they just believe in without even once thinking or reasoning it out. They just found themselves in the queue , so they stood there without ever thinking :"what am I doing here".

7-Devils:Devils are all living beings that make evil plans to push you to go astray.They include devils form the world of Jinn(Satan and his followers) and from the world of humans (all bad guys..)

As you must have noticed, there is some degree of overlap between the different causes.Usually more than one exist in an individual.

It is worthnoting that the first 6 causes all originate from your SELF , while the seventh is the only one in which others are involved. This explains why prophet mohamad(pbuh) said that:" Your most dangerous enemy is your SELF that you hold inside" Also once after returning with the Muslim army from a battle with the heretics , he said" We came back from the minor Jihad(fight) to the major Jihad", meaning that struggling with your Self everyday to make it walk in the right path is the major most difficult fight..

Some Ayas from Koran regarding creation and natural phenomenas.

In this post , I am just mentioning some Ayas from Koran showing that differnet natural phenomenas are occuring goverened by Allah through his scientific laws. ( I already mentioend some in my first post about the existance of one God).

[6.95] Surely Allah causes the grain and the date-stone to germinate; He brings forth the living from the dead and He is the bringer forth of the dead from the living; that is Allah! how are you then turned away.
[6.96] He causes the dawn to break; and He has made the night for rest, and the sun and the moon for reckoning; this is an arrangement of the Mighty, the Knowing.
[6.97] And He it is Who has made the stars for you that you might follow the right way thereby in the darkness of the land and the sea; truly We have made plain the communications for a people who know.
[6.98] And He it is Who has brought you into being from a single soul, then there is (for you) a resting-place and a depository; indeed We have made plain the communications for a people who understand.
[6.99] And He it is Who sends down water from the cloud, then We bring forth with it buds of all (plants), then We bring forth from it green (foliage) from which We produce grain piled up (in the ear); and of the palm-tree, of the sheaths of it, come forth clusters (of dates) within reach, and gardens of grapes and olives and pomegranates, alike and unlike; behold the fruit of it when it yields the fruit and the ripening of it; most surely there are signs in this for a people who believe.

[7.57] And He it is Who sends forth the winds bearing good news before His mercy, until, when they bring up a laden cloud, We drive it to a dead land, then We send down water on it, then bring forth with it of fruits of all kinds; thus shall We bring forth the dead that you may be mindful.
[7.58] And as for the good land, its vegetation springs forth (abundantly) by the permission of its Lord, and (as for) that which is inferior (its herbage) comes forth but scantily; thus do We repeat the communications for a people who give thanks.

[13.12] He it is Who shows you the lightning causing fear and hope and (Who) brings up the heavy cloud.
[13.13] And the thunder declares His glory with His praise, and the angels too for awe of Him; and He sends the thunderbolts and smites with them whom He pleases, yet they dispute concerning Allah, and He is mighty in prowess.

[16.3] He created the heavens and the earth with the truth, highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him).
[16.4] He created man from a small seed and lo! he is an open contender.
[16.5] And He created the cattle for you; you have in them warm clothing and (many) advantages, and of them do you eat.
[16.6] And there is beauty in them for you when you drive them back (to home), and when you send them forth (to pasture).
[16.7] And they carry your heavy loads to regions which you could not reach but with distress of the souls; most surely your Lord is Compassionate, Merciful.
[16.8] And (He made) horses and mules and asses that you might ride upon them and as an ornament; and He creates what you do not know.
[16.9] And upon Allah it rests to show the right way, and there are some deviating (ways); and if He please He would certainly guide you all aright.
[16.10] He it is Who sends down water from the cloud for you; it gives drink, and by it (grow) the trees upon which you pasture.
[16.11] He causes to grow for you thereby herbage, and the olives, and the palm trees, and the grapes, and of all the fruits; most surely there is a sign in this for a people who reflect.
[16.12] And He has made subservient for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are made subservient by His commandment; most surely there are signs in this for a people who ponder;
[16.13] And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful.
[16.14] And He it is Who has made the sea subservient that you may eat fresh flesh from it and bring forth from it ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships cleaving through it, and that you might seek of His bounty and that you may give thanks.
[16.15] And He has cast great mountains in the earth lest it might be convulsed with you, and rivers and roads that you may go aright,
[16.16] And landmarks; and by the stars they find the right way.
[16.17] Is He then Who creates like him who does not create? Do you not then mind?
[16.18] And if you would count Allah's favors, you will not be able to number them; most surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

[27.59] Say: Praise be to Allah and peace on His servants whom He has chosen: is Allah better, or what they associate (with Him)?
[27.60] Nay, He Who created the heavens and the earth, and sent down for you water from the cloud; then We cause to grow thereby beautiful gardens; it is not possible for you that you should make the trees thereof to grow. Is there a god with Allah? Nay! they are people who deviate.
[27.61] Or, Who made the earth a restingplace, and made in it rivers, and raised on it mountains and placed between the two seas a barrier. Is there a god with Allah? Nay! most of them do not know!
[27.62] Or, Who answers the distressed one when he calls upon Him and removes the evil, and He will make you successors in the earth. Is there a god with Allah? Little is it that you mind!
[27.63] Or, Who guides you in utter darkness of the land and the sea, and Who sends the winds as good news before His mercy. Is there a god with Allah? Exalted by Allah above what they associate (with Him).
[27.64] Or, Who originates the creation, then reproduces it and Who gives you sustenance from the heaven and the earth. Is there a god With Allah? Say: Bring your proof if you are truthful.
[27.65] Say: No one in the heavens and the earth knows the unseen but Allah; and they do not know when they shall be raised.
[27.66] Nay, their knowledge respecting the hereafter is slight and hasty; nay, they are in doubt about it; nay, they are quite blind to

[78.6] Have We not made the earth an even expanse?
[78.7] And the mountains as projections (thereon)?
[78.8] And We created you in pairs,
[78.9] And We made your sleep to be rest (to you),
[78.10] And We made the night to be a covering,
[78.11] And We made the day for seeking livelihood. ~2. And We made above you seven strong ones,
[78.13] And We made a shining lamp,
[78.14] And We send down from the clouds water pouring forth abundantly,
[78.15] That We may bring forth thereby corn and herbs,
[78.16] And gardens dense and luxuriant.
[78.17] Surely the day of decision is (a day) appointed

These are just some of many ayas in Koran talking about creation and natural phenomenas.As you can see , it's all God's creation , for example , He send rain using the laws that govern the water cycle...

Again , the prescence of scientific explanation for things doesn't mean there is no God , actually it's a proof that he exists.

Famous worldwide misconceptions: 2)Luck(coincidence,chance)

All the people (including me ofcourse) always relate some unexpected things to what we call Luck, Coincidence, Chance.. all that. For example , during a game of football(soccer) , a team might be in full control of the game and had many chances but wasted most or all of them , while the opponent was playing bad and had much less chances but it scored more and won the game!!! Any viewer will say that team had bad luck and the other had good luck..!! Also in penalty shootout , all people say that this is mere luck.... So are we right , or does luck not exist????

Suppose that luck exist,,imagine one only situation happening in your whole life by chance..Now imagine also one single lucky situation happening to every other person in this world, only once in a lifetime. Now count the number of situations that occur by chance.. That's right, they will be billions because there are billions of living people .Now since we permitted luck here to humans , it can also permitted to all living creatures , and guess what , can be permitted to natural phenomenas and almost evreything in the universe!!! Oh and count the number of living creatures that lived and died in the past. So we end with Trilllions and Trillions of lucky situations, coincidences and things that were made by chance!!!!!

If such number of coincidences were permitted , this universe would have been upside down and Chaos would have been the rule, but what we see is a universe in harmony. For a manager in whichever field to be successful , he should not leave anything for chance. That's a famous word we say. So what about the supernatural power that governs this universe, He also doesn't leave anything for chance.

Some people would argue that there are billions of stupid trivial things , God is much greater than these to care about. I tell them , you got it the other way: GOD is much greater to leave anything for chance, even the most trivial stupid things.. Everything is done with his knowledge and by his permission.

So when this team wins, IT IS DONE FOR A REASON... May be to see if the winning team thank God and work more to improve or pride gets into their hearts adn start to reduce training,and at the same time the losing team will get depressed ,get angry with God and stop training or keep the faith and work more and more ..That's for example.

To sum up , my point is that there is nothing as luck and coincidence.Everything happening is made for a reason and under full control from Allah using his laws(including the laws of science). Things that we see trivial , might not be so to Allah.. just like paying attention to trivial things in your work will make you more and more efficient at it meaning that these bits and pieces did actually matter.

Famous worldwide misconceptions: 1) Religion and Science

I once was watching a program on discovery science channel when I found people talking about some scientific facts and then mentioning that this might interfere with the religious beliefs and that it arises the old story of the clash between science and religion!!

According to koran and islamic teachings , I was taught that the people that believe and fear God the most are the people of knowledge, wise people , scientists ..all that....Koran says "The ones who fear Allah are the people of knowledge.."

So I started wondering how come the scientists that know a lot about nature and supposed to believe in God the most , are the ones who deny or doubt the existance of God. However with little thinking , I think I got the answer..

There is a misconcept that God , prophets , religions , all that got to do with miracles and with unexplainable phenomenas . Heretics believe all these to be myths and legends of the ancients as there are no scientific explanations to them.

Who said so?????Noah's ark Mouses stick , Abraham surviving the fire , Jesus ressurrecting the dead, and ALL MIRACLES ARE JUST SPECIAL THINGS IN SPECIAL SITUATIONS THAT GOD MADE TO HIS PROPHETS AS PROOF THAT HE EXISTS AND THEY ARE HIS MESSENGERS. ALL OTHER THINGS AND THE WAY THIS UNIVERSE IS MONITORED ARE CONTROLLED BY SCIENTIFIC LAWS THAT GOD HAD PUT AND APPLIED.

For example, when Allah sent Mouses and his miracle - the stick- to pharaohs and they didn't believe him , He sent some minor punishments in case they might make the people believe and submit to their God. What were these punsihments , Koran says: "..so we sent upon them the flood and the locusts and the lice and the frogs and the blood as distinct signs..."7-133..................... Now I thought a bit , River Nile always throughout history make floods , till the High Dam was built only around 50 yrs ago( 1956 AD). So a simple SCIENTIFIC explanation for this aya from koran , is that the Nile flooded more and as there were no sewage system at that time, water collected on the streets in huge amounts that swamps were created. What follows is that swamp creatures will gather around these ( locusts , lice,frogs..). Another explanantion is that also locusts used to invade Egypt in old times in summer.. Whatever the explanaion , the point is there are simple scientific explanations for these occurings , yet in Koran it is said that these were punishments too.

So My point is:

GOD made the laws of science
God uses these laws to control the universe
God uses these laws to test some people, punish others and reward others as well.
God may change these laws in special rare circumstances to prove that these laws are his creation and can be changed at any time. ( Prophets' miracles)

God made other whole pack of rules that are used for same purposes (punishing,rewarding,controlling,creating,.....just everything..)

In shaa allah ( God's willing), there will be some articles about some of God's rules( Laws, Ways..)

A last word for scientists who do not believe in God,. Sorry , but in my opinion, you are scientists , but not wise and actually you got a lot of ignorance..Tell me:

*Why believe in : Energy is neither created nor destroyed , but not in God is neither created nor destroyed????

*Why believe in : the prescence of parallel worlds and don't believe the prescence of a world of Jinn , Angels ?

*Why believe there are things that we do not know about and do not see , yet find it difficult to believe about heaven , hell , jinn , angels and GOD, simply cause we can't see them?

*Who said that the prescence of scientifc explanation for things means there are no God? Actually they are a proof that he exists... (was this article wrriten by itself or by chance??or did someone wrote it...? were these scientific laws made and work in such harmonious way by themselves or did someone put them there...?)

A last comment about scientists who believe . Such scientists the more they read , learn , discover , search ... the more they feel God's power and knowledge and hence fear him and believe in him more and more. That explains the aya from koran I mentioned at the beginning of the article..

The Existance Of One God

Many questions arise in people's minds that make them doubt the existence of a God. These include:

Where is he? What does he look like? Why can't we see him? Who made him? Where does God fit in with science?
Everything has an explanation, so how can I believe in something or someone that I can't see, hear or talk to?
Relativity..God himself could be relative!! Everything is relative and could be completely different when seen from another point of view or even from another dimension. Relativity applies to God too..(If you can't get this point , don't blame me , I heard it from a heretic) So...isn't the existence of God relative?
So if there is a God .. how many are there? Why only one ? There are always billions and trillions of every species, object or kind...

So is there a God or not?

Actually yes and actually to reason this is simple and easy just as we believe that 1+1=2.. and here is why:

There must be a creator:

If you look at a house , will you say: nature is clever in the way it made the door on the ground floor so people in the streets can go inside. the way the windows are oriented to allow for sunrays and air to get through.. Will you say nature has a good taste when u look at the decor and the colors..... Or will you say the builders , engineers and architects are smart ,efficient and have a good taste.

Look at the laws that govern people livings in any country.. were they made by chance or did some people made them and applied then to organize things.

Now look at nature : the organized movement of the celestial bodies,the life cycle of differnet species, the immigration of differnet species, Look at the human body where millions of chemical reactions take place every second. Who is controlling these, you might say scientific rules and who made and is controlling these rules.??

In other words , look at anything .. did it just arise haphazardly with laws of nature there and enough for it or some inventors and makers were needed to make it and make it in an ideal way....

There are laws and rules that govern everything and there is a being with all the power and knowledge who made these laws and have full control over them.

If things were left for the laws of nature alone, Chaos would have been the rule with consequent disappearance of life in the universe over decades,but because there is complete control over these laws and these laws were made in a perfect way, life continues in a perfect harmonious way.

Here are some ayas from koran about that previous point:

56.57] We have created you, why do you not then assent?
[56.58] Have you considered the seed?
[56.59] Is it you that create it or are We the creators?
[56.60] We have ordained death among you and We are not to be overcome,
[56.61] In order that We may bring in your place the likes of you and make you grow into what you know not.
[56.62] And certainly you know the first growth, why do you not then mind?
[56.63] Have you considered what you sow?
[56.64] Is it you that cause it to grow, or are We the causers of growth?
[56.65] If We pleased, We should have certainly made it broken down into pieces, then would you begin tb lament:
[56.66] Surely we are burdened with debt:
[56.67] Nay! we are deprived.
[56.68] Have you considered the water which you drink?
[56.69] Is it you that send it down from the clouds, or are We the senders?
[56.70] If We pleased, We would have made it salty; why do you not then give thanks?
[56.71] Have you considered the fire which you strike?
[56.72] Is it you that produce the trees for it, or are We the producers?
[56.73] We have made it a reminder and an advantage for the wayfarers of the desert.
[56.74] Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.

[2.164] Most surely in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day, and the ships that run in the sea with that which profits men, and the water that Allah sends down from the cloud, then gives life with it to the earth after its death and spreads in it all (kinds of) animals, and the changing of the winds and the clouds made subservient between the heaven and the earth, there are signs for a people who understand.

Then why can't we see him?

Suppose you and I are living in the 10th century , and I pointed at a wooden chair or whatever and tell you :" You know what , There r millions of living organisms on this chair.. Living organisms just like you and me but much smaller , that's why we can't see them.."" If you only believe in what you see , you will call me nuts and start laughing and will never believe me .. Though we now know that this is true ( bacteria , viruses , ricketssiae ,.......)

When Coppernicus and Galileo said that it's the earth that moved around the sun, some people thought they are nuts and Galileo actually was sent to trial and got life prison at home!! Why , cause they were used to the idea that the earth is the centre of the universe and the sun orbits around it... Now we know that Coppernicus and Galileo were right......

The point I am trying to reach is : Who said that only things that we see are true and thinknig or believing in unseen things is nonsense.. Actually the seen things might be deceiving as in that earth and sun story. And the wise people and the real scientists are the ones who believe that there are many things that we don't know about and that we don't see , yet they exist...

So not seeing God does not mean he is not there, especially when he sends prophets to tell us about him and especially when we look at all things in life that almost say :someone created me in that logical harmonious way".

What about relativity?

Things could be seen different than the way they are if seen from another aspect,In fact there are other worlds that we don't see and they do not see us..or may be they do.Even time is relative. So the point heretics want to reach through this is that time could be stationary or absent and so is everything else including humans..you and I!!In other words we do not exist absolutely!!(if you don't understand this point , I am sorry for being not able to clarify it more ,again I'm just saying what I once heard from a heretic). So -still heretics' words- even God is relative and might not or actually do not exist at all, just like everything else!!
Well guess what... I agree with several points in this .. I agree that there are other worlds and that most things are relative!! You know why.. cause Allah said so in the Koran. He says in it about himself many things including that he is "The Truth" and that other things are false!!" Yes everything is relative , could or could not exist . You can see a human now infront of you , but in another world he is not seen .. or even here at certain time he will die and be transformed again into the elements:(hydrogen. silicon. nitrogen...).
So what are the mistakes in that heretics' point of view:

1: Everything is relative EXCEPT FOR GOD , that's why he says: Allah is the truth and else is false.. He is the source... the originator ...... He can't be transformed , ain't relative to anything else ,simply cause he is not comparable to anything else cause there's no other god to compare them together( You compare things that alike , but you can't compare something that is unique) and the only unique in this universe is ALLAH(God).

2:There are other worlds ( world of Jinn for example as mentioned in all holy books) , but this doesn't mean that you do not exist. WE , YOU and I all exist . Being not seen in other worlds or being transformable , doesn't mean that we do not exist... ( P.S: Jinn can see us as Allah say in koran," ....Indeed he(satan) sees you( Children of Adam) and his allies from where you do not see them.."7-27.

So who created him??

No one , He was not created because he is the creator , He is the first with nothing before him and the last with nothing after him. Eveything has a start , right.. Well he was there when anything starts , In fact He is the starter....
We all know the scientific rule that says: Energy is neither created nor destroyed.. So why believe in this yet find it difficult to believe that God is neither created nor destroyed. He was always there because he was not created and will always be there as he is not destroyed..
He is the source , originator and creator of energy so I find it more logically to say:

The creator of energy is the one who is neither created nor destroyed

So how many gods, why only one???

That's the easiest question in all that... If he is a God then why the need for other.. A God should have all the abilities power and control.. so no need for more
Besides if there are more than one God (like old greek myth) Chaos would have been the rule .. We all know that you can't place two leaders on the same place , else it will fall apart.
Koran says: " Had there been other gods within heavens and earth with Allah , they both would have been ruined.." 21-22

Also why ain't these Gods claiming the throne:

"If there were other Gods with Allah, they would have sought the throne..." 17-42.

What does he look alike?

He is unique so non-comparable and we didn't see him so can't imagine. Prophet Mohamad (pbuh) said that we should seek knowledge and science in everything except in this.. picturing Allah in our minds.. Simply because whatever we will imagine it will be wrong and it will be inferior to what Allah really is..

Instead of you commenting on my posts , Here in this post you can post your thoughts about islam ,whether good or bad, and I will comment and try to clarify these thoughts in my posts.
