Muhammad (ra), one of the grandchildren of Ali KarmAllahuwahju
One who strove to convey his superior traits and impressive qualities simply confessed his impotence and incompetence in describing him by stating that he has never before him or after him seen anyone comparable to him.
2. The Beauty of Our Prophet (saws)
His companions described the beauty of the Prophet (saws) in these terms:
“The Prophet (saws) had a most handsome constitution. Some likened the beauty of his smile to that of the full moon . . . His nose was thin . . . His face was smooth . . . His beard was thick . . . His neck was most beautiful . . . If the rays of the Sun fell on his neck, it appeared like a cup of silver mixed with gold . . . The expanse between his shoulders was wide.”
3. The Majesty of Our Prophet (saws)
Narrated by Hasan:
“Our Messenger of God was, by nature, imposing and magnificent.”
4. The Radiant Face of Our Prophet (saws)Anas bin Malik (ra) says:
“The Prophet (saws) was neither tall nor short. He was handsome. His hair was neither delicate nor curly. On the other hand, the color the face of Mubarak (upon whom Divine goodness is bestowed, one who is given abundantly, the Beneficial, the Auspicious), was of a splendorous white.”
5. The Powerful Body of Our Prophet (saws)
“His neck was most beautiful, neither long, nor short. If the rays of the Sun fell on his neck, it appeared like a cup of silver mixed with gold. His chest was broad. It was even like a mirror and white like the moonlight... His shoulders were wide. His palms were softer than wool.”
6. The Stature of Our Prophet (saws):
Baraa bin Aazib (ra) relates:
“I never saw someone more handsome than the Messenger of God. His hair reached his shoulders. The portion between his two shoulders was wide. He was neither very tall nor very short.”
7. The Beautiful Eyes of Our Prophet (saws):
Abu Huraira (ra) describes him:
“His forehead was wide, and the place between his eyebrows was bright like pure silver, and his eyes were very beautiful and his eyes’ pupils were black. The hairs of his eyelashes were profuse . . . ”
8. The Complexion of Our Prophet (saws):
Abu Huraira (ra) reports:
“He was reddish-white . . .”
9. The Hair of Our Prophet (saws):
Aisha (ra) reports:
“The blessed hair of The Messenger of God (saws) was longer than those that reached the earlobes, and shorter than those that reached the shoulders.”
10. The Beard of Our Prophet (saws):
“He had a thick, dense beard.”
11. The Beautiful Mouth of Our Prophet (saws):
“His teeth were as white as pearls and bright, and the light gleamed from his front teeth as he spoke. When he laughed, it was as if his mouth gave off rays like soft lightning .
12. The Manner of Dress of Our Prophet (saws):
Jundub ibn Makith (ra) said:
“Whenever a delegation came to meet the Messenger of God, he would wear his best clothes and order his leading companions to do likewise.”Another hadith relates:
“You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well.”
13. The Manner of Sitting of Our Prophet (saws):
Qaylah bint Makhramah (ra) reports:
“I saw the Messenger of God (saws) in the mosque (in a very humble posture) sitting. Due to his awe-inspiring personality, I began shivering.”
14. The Manner of Speaking of Our Prophet (saws):
“The Prophet (saws) was the greatest of the Arabs in oratory and beauty of speech. He said: ‘I am the greatest orator among the Arabs.’”
15. The Smiling Face of Our Prophet (saws):
As recalled by Ali:
“The Messenger of God (saws)... was the one who smiled the most and the most joyful of all.”
16. The Glances of Our Prophet (saws):
Hasan, the grandson of our Prophet (saws), described the way he looked at things as follows:
“The way he looked was extremely expressive . . .”
17. The Pleasant Scent of Our Prophet (saws):
Jaabir bin Samura (ra) states:
“Whenever the Holy Prophet tread on any path, when someone passed by later, they could recognize that the prophet had passed by there because they could smell the fragrance of his body.”
18. The Affection for Others of Our Prophet (saws)
Anas bin Malik (ra) relates: “I remained in the service of the Messenger of God (saws) for ten years. He never once told me ‘Ugh.’ When I did something, he never asked me, ‘Why did you do so?’ When I failed to do a certain task, he never asked me why I did not do it.”
19. The Superior Moral Values of Our Prophet (saws):
“God’s Messenger (saws). When he shook hands with anyone, he did not withdraw his hands till the other man withdrew his. Similarly, he did not turn away his face from anyone till that man turned his face to the other side. And he was never seen to put forward his knees in front of one with whom he was sitting.”
“. . . He used to call his companions by their surnames with honor and he used to give one surname who had no surname.”20.
The Modesty of Our Prophet (saws):
“. . . Everyone thought that the Prophet honored him more. Whoever came to him could see his face . . . Yes, the way he sat, listened, his words, graceful jests and attention were always for those with him. Besides, the meetings he held with friends was marked by decency, modesty and security

The Prophet’s (saws) sayings (hadiths) regarding the signs of the end times

Many details of what the Prophet (saws) said would happen before the last days have reached us. These events are happening one by one in our own time, proving to be yet another miracle of the Prophet (saas). These events, that are happening 1,400 years after the Prophet Muhammad (saas), were explained in great detail, as if he had witnessed them himself.
These are the Prophet (saas)'s prophecies regarding the signs of the end times and the last day, taken from the hadiths:
The Last Hour will not come unless there is much bloodshed.227
Near the establishment of the Hour there will be much Al-Harj, and Al-Harj means killing...228
The day of Judgment will not come until people openly deny Allah.229
Great cities will be ruined, and it will be as if they had not existed the day before.230
Gains will be shared out only among the rich, with no benefit to the poor.231
People will indulge in homosexuality and lesbianism.232

There will be prevalence of open illegal intercourse.233
The Hour (Last Day) will not be established until murders will increase.234
Pity poor Taliqan (a region in Afghanistan) that at that place are treasures of Allah, but these are not of gold and silver but consist of people who have recognised Allah as they should have.235
There is an indication in the hadith that Afghanistan will be occupied during the end times. The Russian invasion of Afghanistan took place in 1979, or 1400 according to the Hijri calendar. In other words, it coincided with the start of the fourteenth century under the Hijri calendar
It (Euphrates) will uncover a mountain of gold (under it).236
Soon the river "Euphrates" will disclose the treasure (the mountain) of gold, so whoever will be present at that time should not take anything of it.237
The rebuilding of the ruined places in the world, and the ruination of constructed places are signs and portents of Doomsday.238
There are two signs of our Mahdi; ...and those signs are that moon will eclipse in the first night of its fixed nights of eclipse and sun will be eclipsed in the middle of the fixed days for its eclipse, during the month of Ramadhan.239
There will be two eclipses of the sun in Ramadan before the Mahdi emerges.240

There will be two eclipses of the Moon in Ramadan...241
The common points emerging from the above three hadiths are:
1. There will be solar and lunar eclipses during the month of Ramadan.
2. These will be spaced about 14-15 days apart.
3. The eclipses will be repeated twice.
In line with those calculations, there was a lunar eclipse in 1981 (Hijri 1401), on the 15th day of Ramadan, and a solar eclipse on the 29th day of the month. There was a "second" lunar
eclipse in 1982 (Hijri 1402) on the 14th day of Ramadan, and a solar eclipse on the 28th day of the month.
It is also particularly significant that in that particular instance, there was a full lunar eclipse in the middle of the month of Ramadan, a most striking prophecy.
Before he comes, a comet spreading light will come from the East.242
The birth of that star will follow the eclipse of the Sun and Moon.243
A tailed star will be born from the East and spread its light. Its daily direction will be from East to West.244
A tailed star will be born from the East and spread its light. Its daily direction will be from East to West.244
- In 1986 (Hijri 1406), in other words at the start of the 14th century, Halley's comet passed by the Earth. The comet is a bright, shining star.
- It travels from East to West
This happened after the lunar and solar eclipses of 1981 and 1982 (1401-1402)
People will go on the hajj with no imam at their head. When they descend to Mina, the tribes will savage each other like dogs and there will be great wars. To such an extent that feet will be covered in a lake of blood.245
A fire will appear in the sky from the East and a redness will cover the sky for three or seven days in a row.246
A fire will enfold you. That fire is currently extinguished in the valley called Berehut. People will be enfolded in that fire with terrible suffering. That fire will burn and destroy people and belongings. For eight days it will rage over the world like wind and cloud. The heat of night will be fiercer than that of day. That fire will stretch from the heads of man to the highest heavens, and there will be a terrible noise like thunder between the earth and sky, he said.247
- The burning oil in Kuwait led to the deaths of people and animals. According to experts, half a million tons of oil went up into the atmosphere as smoke. Every day, more than 10,000 tons of soot, sulphur, carbon-dioxide and large quantities of hydrocarbons with their carcinogenic properties hang suspended over the Gulf. It is not just the Gulf, but the world itself that is burning.248
- Two wells that were set alight produced as much oil as Turkey does in one day, and the smoke from them can be seen from Saudi Arabia, 55 kilometres away.249
- Continuing news of disaster from the Gulf: Hundreds of oil wells set alight in Kuwait are still burning fiercely. Experts say it will be "exceedingly difficult to put those fires out," and it is said that the fires will affect a wide area from Turkey to India for the next 10 years.
The fire and smoke coming from the wells constantly pollute the atmosphere. Daytime resembles night in Kuwait. The brown smoke that rises together with the flames remind one of the sky as the autumn turns into winter ... It will take at least a century for Kuwait to be completely habitable again. The smoke that rises with the flames is visible from miles away, totally blocking out the sky and making the country unfit to live in. The wealthy are abandoning Kuwait.250
He(The Mahdi) will not come until there is a portent from the Sun.251
The solar eclipse of August 11, 1999 was the last of the century. During this eclipse, the likes of which take place only every 400 years, the sun, the moon and the world align. It was the first time that so many people had been able to watch and study an eclipse for so long a duration. Below are some newspaper headlines regarding the phenomenon. This can be interpreted as the "portent from the Sun" referred to in the hadith. (Allah knows best, of course).
Before the Hour comes, there will be a tribulation like patches of dark night...252
The word "tribulation (fitna)" implies anything that turns peoples' reason and hearts away from the true path, or war, incitement, chaos, disorder and conflict. The tribulation in the hadith will leave smoke and dust behind it, we learn.
Furthermore, the way that tribulation is described as "darkness" in the hadith, can be seen as an indication that its origins are unclear, that it is unexpected. Looking at it from that regard, it is probable that the hadith is referring to the world's worst terrorist attack, on the cities of New York and Washington in the United States on September 11, 2001.
The inhabitants of Egypt and Sham would kill their ruler and his commands...253

The people of Sham will take prisoner the tribes of Egypt.254
Today, the states in the region in question include Israel. That is why the hadith could be pointing to the war between the State of Israel and Egypt, and the invasion of Egyptian territory.
The Hour (Last Day) will not be established until ... earthquakes will be very frequent.255
There are two great events before the day of Judgment ... and then years of earthquakes.256
The signs of the end times are coming one after the other
In the sayings (hadiths) that have come down to us from the Prophet (saws), news is given concerning the end times and the Golden Age of Islam. When we compare these signs with the things that are taking place in our time, we can see many indications that we are living through the End Times and which also herald the arrival of the Golden Age of Islam.
We must make it clear that some of the signs pointed to in the hadiths that we have been considering in this chapter may have been witnessed to one extent or another throughout the 1,400-year history of Islam, in some part of the world. That does not mean, however, that those were the end times. Because, in order to describe one period as the End Times, all the signs of the last day need to happen at the same time, one after the other. That situation is referred to in a hadith:
"Signs following one another like bits of a necklace falling one after the other when its string is cut."257
In the hadiths, the beginning of the End Times is described as when discord grows, and war and conflict are on the increase, when there is chaos and moral degeneration rears its head and people turn away from the morality of religion. At the time in question, natural disasters will occur all over the world, poverty will reach unseen levels, there will be a large increase in the crime rate, and murder and brutality everywhere. Yet this will be only the first stage. During the second phase, Allah will rescue mankind from this chaos and replace it with a blessed existence full of plenty, peace and security.
The Hour will not be established ... till the people compete with one another in constructing high buildings.258
The Last Day will not be established until... time will pass quickly.259
Great distances will be traversed in short spans of time.260
The Last hour will not come before time contracts, a year being like a month, a month like a week, a week like a day, a day like an hour, and an hour like the kindling of a fire.261
The century we are living in has seen the capability of constructing supersonic aeroplanes, and the ability, thanks to trains and other improvements in means of transport, to make journeys in a few minutes that would once have taken months, and in great comfort. What this hadith indicates is also taking place in this manner.
Communication between continents would take weeks hundreds of years ago, but is now a matter of seconds, thanks to the Internet and improvements in technology. Goods that used to take weeks to arrive, following a long journey, can now be delivered at a moment's notice. Billions of books can now be printed in the time it would take to write a single letter just a few centuries ago. As well, other technological developments have meant that we no longer waste large amounts of time on cooking, cleaning and child minding.
One could go on citing similar examples. Yet, the important thing here, of course, is that the signs of Doomsday, as set out by the Prophet (saas) in the seventh century, are now happening one by one.
The last hour will not come before the end of a man's whip speak to him.262
The whip is known as a tool used in earlier times when riding or guiding pack animals such as horses or camels. When we look closely at this hadith, we can see that the Prophet (saas) is making a comparison. Let us ask people living at the present time a question, "Is there a modern implement that talks and resembles a whip?"
The most logical reply to that question is the mobile telephone, with its long antenna, or similar communications equipment. If we bear in mind that mobile or satellite phones are comparatively recent developments, then the wisdom behind the Prophet (saas)'s description of 1,400 years ago is even clearer. That is just one more indication that we are living through the period prior to Doomsday.
There will be no Judgment ... until a person's own voice speaks to him.263
The message in the hadith is quite clear: A person's hearing the sound of his own voice is another sign of the end times. There is no doubt that in order to hear the sound of one's one voice, one first needs to record it, and then to play it back to himself. Sound recording and reproduction equipment are products of the twentieth century. That development marked a scientific turning point, and led to the birth of the communications and media industries. Sound reproduction is nearly perfect now, thanks to computer and laser technologies.
In short, the electronic gadgets of our time, microphones and speakers, allow us to record sound and play it back, and are also manifestations of that related in the above hadith.
The sign of that day: A hand will be extended from the sky, and people will look and see it.264
The sign of that day is a hand extended in the sky and people stopping to look at it.265
The Arabic word for "hand" in the above hadiths is "yed." As well as "hand," the dictionary also provides such meanings as "power, force, strength, means etc." It is probable that in these hadiths the word is used in those senses
The idea of a "power, force, strength or means" extending from the sky and looked upon by people might not make much sense in the context of past ages. Yet, it sheds considerable light on equipment such as the television, camera and computer, which have become such an indispensable parts of modern life, as described in the hadiths. In other words, the "hand" mentioned in these hadiths is used in the sense of force. It clearly points to pictures coming down from the sky in waves, in other words television broadcasting.
People will reap 700 measures of wheat for every one they sow ... People will throw down a few handfuls of seeds and reap 700 handfuls ... Although much rain will fall, none will be wasted.266
The Prophet (saas) provided many other details of the technological advances that will accompany the end times. Attention is also drawn in the hadiths to the move towards modern agricultural techniques, the development of new production methods, seed improvement research, and increasing production as a result of better use of rainwater by building new dams and artificial lakes.
At that time ... life spans will grow longer.267
Fourteen centuries have passed since the Prophet (saas) brought forward that news. The average expected lifespan is much higher now than it has been at any other time in recent history. A great difference can be seen even between the figures for the beginning and the end of the twentieth century. For instance, it is estimated that a baby born in 1995 will live some 35 years longer than one born around 1900. Another striking example on the same subject is that in the recent past very few people lived to be 100, whereas now it is a great deal more common.
In the Qur'an, Allah states that He has brought about many miracles by means of the prophets. When the Prophet Musa (Moses) (as) threw down his staff, for instance, it turned into a serpent, and when he smote the sea with that staff it divided into two, leaving a dry path down the middle. The Prophet 'Isa (as) came into the world without a father, and spoke while he was still in the cradle. Another miracle is the way he was able to heal the sick... All these miracles were support and help given to them, in the sight of Allah, to allow them to convince the people and lead them to believe in them.
Allah supported the Prophet Muhammad (saws) by means of both the miracles in the Qur'an and with information given him regarding the unknown. The Prophet (saws) supplied details about events that would happen in the near and distant future. Seeing these actually come to be is both a means of increasing the excitement of believers and of warming the hearts of unbelievers towards Islam.
Events that would have seemed impossible to happen in his own time, and that no one could even have imagined, which are now occurring one after the other, are clear evidence of the fact that the Prophet (saas) was relating special knowledge.
We must make it clear that those who refuse to be guided to the true path will nevertheless still refuse to believe, despite the clear evidence and miracles of the Prophet (saas) and the Qur'an. Allah reveals that fact in the Qur'an:
They have sworn by Allah with their most earnest oaths that if a Sign comes to them they will believe in it. Say: "The Signs are in Allah's control alone." What will make you realise that even if a Sign did come, they would still not believe? (Surat al-An'am: 109)
Conclusion:Those who abide by the Prophet (saas) will be saved
The most important reason for learning about the morality of the Prophet (saas), and how he behaved under particular conditions, is to take these as examples in order to try to emulate him in godliness, uprightness, purity of faith, modesty, cleanliness and belief. Most individuals take other people as their role models, emulate their behavior and try to talk and act like them. However, it is the Prophet (saas), and the other prophets who acted and believed like him, who ought to be followed.
In the verses of the Qur'an, Allah stresses the importance of believing in Him and His Prophet (saas), and of supporting and helping the Prophet (saas) and following his path. He has given the good news that those who do so will be saved:
So that you might all believe in Allah and His Messenger and honor Him and respect Him and glorify Him in the morning and the evening. (Surat al-Fath: 9)
"... Those who believe in him and honor him and help him, and follow the Light that has been sent down with him, they are the ones who are successful." (Surat al-A'raf: 157)
Supporting the Prophet (saas) at the present time is only possible by abiding by the Qur'an and his Sunnah, by making the same efforts as he did to spread the morality of the Qur'an throughout the world, and by doing all in one's power to be like him. Allah will help those who do so in the same way that He helped the Prophet (saas). He will ease their task and grant them success where they would have never expected it. Though, the most important reason for attempting to resemble the Prophet (saas) is to win our Lord's good pleasure, mercy and Paradise.

A GOLDEN PAGE OF HUMAN HISTORY

Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) occupies an exalted, everlasting and the most unique position in the religious history of mankind. Of all the Founders of Religion only Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) is the first and the last to claim that the Message which he brought from Allah Ta'ala to mankind is absolutely complete and final, that his dispensation shall remain in force till the end of the world, and after him no Divine Messenger will come to modify, add, subtract or abrogate any of his teachings. In him, the institution of Prophethood attained its full, final and most perfect form.

History shows that the world from the beginning has not produced any other man who can rival the Prophet of Islam (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) in the field of his teachings, his actions, his deeds or practical way of life.

It was Hazrat Muhammad's (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) grandest contribution to the elevation of his fellow-men that he re-affirmed the sovereign principle of Monotheism and universal brotherhood of man transcending all barriers that people erect in ignorance and fear. Hazrat Muhammad (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) arose in the midst of a society that was cruelly barbarious, which had no culture, no manners, no society and no civilisation. Humanity was coming very close to calamity. Imagine the same society is today the noble torch-bearer of a new and excellent civilisation. This is one of the main miracles the Prophet ofIslam (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) performed and world history bears testimony to this truth. In a short span of 23 years he brought under one banner a most barbarous tribe spread over 2 000 000 square miles of a very remote region of the world.

It is a universal fact that Hazrat Muhammad (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) is the only Prophet in whose honour praises have been sung by all other religious leaders and some have rather recommended to their followers to follow the path of this great Prophet. People like Guru Nanak, the spiritual head of Sikh sect, and George Bernard Shaw, the philosopher, are such personalities.

Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) accomplished what he undertook in his own short span of life with limited means and all round adversities, trials tortures and tribulations. The task that he accomplished, the work that he did, the manners and the character that he exhibited, and above all, the way in which he completed this stupendous task, is itself a clear proof of his being the last and the living Messenger of Allah whose religion is perfect, character blotless and complete, and teachings marvellous in all respects.

What he preached appealed to man's reasons and rational faculties rather than to mere sentimentalism, fanaticism, irrationality and superstition. He showed what was crystal clear.

Although he was apostle, philosopher, reformer, religious head, statesman, orator, commander, soldier, administrator, and the head of state, he never sat an inch above the place where his followers used to sit, or ate a morsel more than his Companions ate or wore what was superior than what others used to wear.He was a selfless and sincere friend, perfect guide, graceful companion, loving teacher, an impartial judge and above all a simple and straight forward person. He sat in such a simple attire and mixed up so freely and simply with all the common people that the foreign delegations visiting his capital used to inquire from others as to who the Prophet of Islam was. Can any head of the state or any religious head in any part of the world boast to possess such an amicable nature? Can any head of state be so courageous?

History has known many great and glorious civilisations. The main amongst them being the Chinese civilization, Greek civilization, Roman civilization, Marxism and the Imperialistic. None owes its origin and establishment to a single individual. Nor can it be counted as everlasting. Moreover, these civilisations of the world covered a certain field and certain part of the world. All the civilisations were basically collective efforts of many, but Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) gave Islamic civilisation single-handedly for all times to come.

I. UNIVERSAL FACTS ABOUT SAYYIDUNA RASOOLULLAH (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim)

Over the hills of Makkah, there was a heavenly glow. The birth of our Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) was an earth-shaking event in the year 570 A.D. Born in the most backward and uncivilized city of Makkah in the Middle East, lived only 63 years in this world, remained unlettered throughout, but changed the destiny of the entire humanity. The whole culture of humanity and the existence of human race was revolutionised during these 23 years of his Prophethood and throughout the world he was the only one single person with multiple capacities who could successfully carry out this stupendous task in such a short span of time and amidst untold adversities. He was the Prophet who uprooted Polytheism once for all.

His father, Hazrat Abdullah (radi Allahu anhu) and mother, Bibi Aaminah (radi Allahu anhu), passed away after his birth. His grandfather, Hazrat Abdul Mutallib (radi Allahu anhu), who took care of him, too soon passed away. He was thus an orphan. Dai Halimah (radi Allahu anha) took care of him for full five years in the desert. But no one knew at that time that this shy, sweet and sublime orphan will grow up to be the greatest and the last Prophet of Allah and show the world the real path to salvation in the most simple and straight-forward style. They never knew that he is Mercy for them as well as for all the worlds and all the generations and all ages so long as the world lasts. Allah Ta'ala says in the Holy Quran: "We sent to you not but as a Mercy for all mankind".

The personality of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) is the most perfect and profound in history. A personification of the moral code of life as enshrined in the Holy Quran, he created a moral society and a just State that blended the spiritual with the temporal in the most beautifully balanced synthesis. This was the only Prophet whose words and deeds were 100% alike. He preached what he and his Companions practised, he treated the King and commoner alike. He was sweet, simple, civil and kind to each and everyone. He never hurt the feelings of even his deadliest enemy.

Let us see how some great men, who were not Muslims, but fascinated by Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim), have described him before the World:

1. Lord Hadly, Sir Charles Archibald, Thomas Carlyle, H.G. Wells, Gibbon, George Bernard Shaw, Guru Nanak, Napoleon Bonaparte, Mahatma Gandhi, Bertland Russel, Dozy, Michael H. Hart and a countless number of historians, philosophers, authors, statesmen and orators have painted a marvellous picture of the Prophet's (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) personality and echoed to salute him, his preaching and his practices.

3. Socrates, the Greek philosopher, told his followers that a man will come from Arabian land, introduce a new religion of purity and peace. He will come earlier and bring prosperity to each and every one.

4. In the book "Prophet of East", the famous writer of Asia, Diwan Chand Sharma, writes that Muhammad (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) was the soul of kindness and his influence was never at all forgotten.

5. British Prime Minister, Mr James Callaghan, said on the 5th of February 1979 in a programme "World this Week" on 1978 and events in 1979 in a television interview with B.B.C. that, "traditions, faith andbelief of Prophet Muhammad's religion, Islam commands great support and are indeed very worthy beliefs".

6. In the famous book, "The 100 Great", Sayyiduna Rasoolullah's (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) name has been selected to be first of all others. The writer, Mr Michael H. Hart, writes that he is the only one in the world who is the greatest in the worldly affairs as well as in the ecclesiastical affairs alike.

7. There are thousands of the authors of the world, including Russians, who have placed Sayyiduna Rasoolullah's (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) name on the top of the Law Givers of the World.

8. Prof. Muir writes: "All agree in ascribing to the youth of Muhammad (peace be on him) a modesty of truth and purity of manners rare amongst the people. Endowed with refined mind and delicate taste, reserved and humble, he lived much within himself. The fair character and honourable bearing of unobtrusive youth was the approbation of his fellow citizens and by common consent received the title of 'Al Amin' - The Trustworthy. Even those who opposed him agreed to this title".

9. Mr Marcus Dods writes in his book, "Muhammad, Buddha and Christ": "Certainly Muhammad had most important characteristics of the Prophetic order. He saw truth about God which fellow men did not see, and he had an irresistible inward impulse to publicise this truth. In respect of this latter qualification, Muhammad may stand first in comparison to most courageous of the heroic Prophets of Israel. For truths sake he risked his life, he suffered daily persecution for years and eventually banishment, the loss of the property, separation of his fellow citizens and of his friends, he suffered in short as much as any man can suffer short of death. No bribe, threat or inducement could silence him".

10. Arthur Gilman, in his famous book, "Saracens", writes: "The day Muhammad's (peace be on him) greatest triumph over his events was also the day of his grandest victory over himself. He freely forgave the Koraysh. Muhammad's victory was in very truth one of religions and not of politics, he rejected every token of personal homage and declined all legal authority and when the naughty chiefs appeared before him he asked, 'what you can expect at my hands? ' 'Mercy O generous brother.' 'Be it so. You are free', he exclaimed".

11. In the book, "The History of Intellectual Development", Mr John William Draper, says: "A Prophet was born at Mecca in Arabia, the man who of all men has exercised the greatest influence upon human race".

12. Sir Charles Edward Archibald was a Lieutenant in the British Royal Defence Corpse. He was also the President of the Royal Selsy Conservative Society of Britain. He was so much influenced by the life and works of Muhammad (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim), the Prophet, that he embraced Islam on 20th December 1923. Abdullah was his new name. He was a popular writer, thinker, statesman and was familiarly known as Sir Abdullah Hamilton. He has written volumes on Islam, and in praise of the Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim).

13. John Davenport says: "There is no doubt that amongst all Lawgivers and Conquerors, there is not a single one whose life story is found in more details and authenticity than that of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)".

14. Dr A.K. Germanus, a well-known historian and author of Hungary, who was also for a few years in association with Rabindranath Tagore, embraced Islam and his new name was Abdul Karrim. This was all due to the influence of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah's (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) teaching and his practical life which he studied thoroughly.

15. A number of other non-Muslim authors of Europe, Asia and Africa have also written volumes on the Prophet of Islam. Only a cursory glance at these books will show as to how minutely they have studied the life of the Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) and reached at a definite conclusion that he was the greatest of all. Some of them have declared the Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) as the President of all the Prophets of Allah.

16. Dr Johnson paid his tribute to Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) in the following words: "His purely historical character, his simple humanity, claiming only to be a man among men, his intense realism, avoiding all mystical remoteness; his rejection of miracle; the thoroughly democratic and universal form under which his idea of the Divine monarchy led him to conceive the relations of men; the force of his ethical appeal; ... all affiliate Muhammad (peace be upon him) with the modern world".

17. George Bernard Shaw opines: "I believe that if a man like Muhammad (peace be upon him) were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it much needed peace and happiness".

The Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) shed a brilliant light on all problems with which humanity has had to tackle and grapple. His sayings deserve to be studied by all those who want justice, equality and brotherhood established upon earth.

Let us inform our western world that their Prophet Jesus (I'sa alaihis salaam) declared in the most explicable terms to his followers, thus, "O Children of Israel, surely I am the Messenger of Allah to you verifying that which is before me of the Torah and giving the good news of a Messenger of Allah who will come after me his name being Ahmad (Muhammad)".

The historians of the world have whole-heartedly admitted that Prophet Muhammad (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) is that supreme model of human conduct and behaviour that we are enjoined to emulate and imitate. "As regards all standards by which human greatness is measured, we may ask, is there any one greater than Prophet Muhammad?" (Lamartine)

He lived 13 years at Makkah and 10 years in Madina Shareef. He lived the most simple life, he kept all his Companions close to him and all the 23 years were his years of hard toil and continuous exertion. He fought battles and wards, won them, managed the affairs of the State and gave justice to friend and the foe alike, and his words had a magical impact upon life action and behaviour of all humanity.

In only 10 years that he lived in Madina Shareef, he destroyed idolatry, uprooted all evils from the society, raised woman from the status of a chattel to a complete legal equality with man, eradicated drinking and immorality which had till then disgraced the human race, made men in love with faith sincerity and absolutely honest dealings, transformed tribes who had been for centuries content with all kinds of ignorance into a people with ever increasing thirst for knowledge, and for the first time in human history made universal human brotherhood a fact and principle of common law. The life of the Holy Prophet of Islam infact was a miracle in itself judging the above facts.

Writing on the personality of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim), Sir Stanley Lane-Poole says: "In his habits he was extremely simple, although he bestowed great care on his person. His eating and drinking, his dress and his furniture retained, even when he had reached the fullness of power, their almost primitive nature. The only luxuries he indulged in were arms, which he highly prized, and a pair of yellow boots, a present from the Negus of Abyssinia. Perfumes, however, he loved passionately, being most sensitive to smells. Strong drinks he abhorred.

"He was gifted with mighty powers of imagination, elevation of mind, delicacy and refinement of feeling. He is more modest than a virgin behind her curtain, it was said of him. He was most indulgent to his inferiors, and would never allow his little page to be scolded whatever he did. Ten years, said Anas, his servant, I was about the prophet, and he never said as much as 'uff' to me.

"He was very affectionate towards his family. One of the boys died on his breast in the smoky house of the nurse, a blacksmith's wife.He was very fond of children; he would stop them in the streets and pat their little heads. He never struck anyone in his life. The worst expression he ever made use of in conversion was 'What has come to him? May his forehead become darkened with mud!' When asked to curse someone he replied, 'I have not been sent to curse, but to be a mercy to mankind'.

"He visited the sick, followed any bier he met, accepted the invitation of a slave to dinner, mended his own clothes, milked the goats, and waited upon himself, relates summarily another tradition. He never first withdrew his hand out of another man's palm, and turned not before the other had turned.

"He was the most faithfully protector of those he protected, the sweetest and most agreeable in conversation. Those who saw him were suddenly filled with reverence. Those who came near loved him; they who described him would say, 'I have never seen his like either before or after'. He was of great reservedness, but when he spoke, it was with emphasis and deliberation, and no one could forget what he did".

Napoleon Bonaparte, Emperor of France says: "Muhammad (peace be upon him) was a prince; he rallied his compatriots around him. In a few years, the Muslims conquered half of the world. They snatched away more souls from false gods, pulled down more idols, demolished more pagan temples in fifteen years than the followers of Moses and Jesus did in fifteen centuries.Muhammad (peace be upon him) was a great man. He might have been, in fact, a god, if the revolution which he was instrumental in bringing about had not been prepared by circumstances. When he appeared, the Arabs had been, since many years, afflictedwith civil wars. All those nations that have achieved great things have done them when they came out of such ordeals that renewed equally their souls and their bodies. If the battles of Kadesia and (gap in the original MSS) which enabled the intrepid Muslims to plant the standard of the Prophet on the banks of the Oxus and on the frontiers of China; if those of Ajnadin and Yarmuk, which caused Syria and Egypt to fall under their dominion, were turned against them;if the Khalids, the Zerars and the Amrs had been defeated and repelled to the vast deserts, the Arabs would have gone back to their wandering life; they would have lived like their forefathers, poor and miserable; the names of Muhammad, Ali, and Omar would have remained unknown to the World".

The Prophet of Islam (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) attained eminence due to his excellence. He dispelled the darkness with his radiance. Very splendid are his qualities and on him and his family. May Allah Ta'ala shower His blessings in countless number. If we recite Durood in abundance, we are sure to enter Paradise safe and sound.

Let us say Salawat in abundance and get the maximum benefit and blessings of Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim), his love, worldly success, and in addition to all this, salvation of the next world.

Muhammad (PBUH) is, without a doubt, the most famous personality in world history. No other personality throughout time has conjured up such overpowering emotion from the masses. On the Muslim side he is absolutely the most venerated and beloved man ever, a mercy sent to the entire world from God and the final prophet to all of mankind. The western view, however, has been anything but philanthropic. Rather, there has been a continuous “smear campaign” raged against this man from the very onset of the revelations and throughout the Middle Ages till now.

It is known that Muhammad (PBUH) never partook in idol worshipping and was greatly disturbed by it. He was known to retreat for weeks at a time to a cave where he would pray to God alone and ask for guidance. At some point in his late teens he began to accompany his uncle to Syria with the trading caravans, giving him the knowledge to become a successful merchant. Among the people of Mecca he was nicknamed “Al-Amin” which means “The Trustworthy” due to his honesty and integrity displayed in every aspect of his life. This reputation attracted a 40 year old widow named Khadija who proposed marriage to Muhammad (PBUH) while he was in his mid twenties. They were happily married for more than twenty years and had 6 children together, however his sons died in their early childhood.

During the month of Ramadan in the year 610 CE, Muhammad (PBUH) had retreated to a cave on Mount Hira outside of Mecca for fasting, prayer and contemplation. It was here that the angel Gabriel first descended from Heaven and told the prophet to “Recite in the name of your Lord who created!” which was the first revelation of the Qur’an. The word Qur’an itself means recitation, or something to be recited. Muhammad (PBUH) was terrified of the experience and was afraid he was going crazy. He returned to his wife, Khadija, and told her what had happened. Khadija was the first person to accept Islam; she told him that she believed that he was a prophet of God and that he was not crazy or sick.

It was evident that the Muslims would have to seek a new place to establish themselves. The prophet asked many different tribes for their protection when they came for pilgrimage to Mecca, but found none. It began to look hopeless and Muhammad despaired that the religion would die with all the Muslims. Then, a miracle happened. In the town of Yathrib, now Medina an-Nabi, there had been fighting amongst the Arabs and the Jews for many years. The leaders of the tribes came to Muhammad (PBUH) because they knew his reputation as a trustworthy man and peaceful arbitrator. They asked that he come to Yathrib, with all of his followers, where they would have sanctity in exchange for his arbitrating between the tribes. Muhammad (PBUH) agreed and the Muslims emigrated to Yathrib in 622, this even is known as the hijra and it marks year 1 of the Muslim calendar.

The third major attack came in 627 when the Meccans once again mustered a huge army to attack Medina. The Muslims were forewarned of the impending attack and dug a trench around the unprotected parts of medina, making it impossible for the enemy to enter the city. The Meccan army led an ineffective attack and decided it was best to return home.

The next major event to take place was the Treaty of Hudaybiya. The verses commanding hajj, pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in a person’s life, had already been commanded, but the Muslims had not yet been able to make a pilgrimage. So, in the month of Shawwal in the year 628, the prophet (PBUH) and 1,400 Muslims set out for the lesser pilgrimage, Umra, wearing the simple white cloth that pilgrims wear. The Meccans heard the Muslims were coming and met them outside of Mecca at Hudaybiya. Here there were heavy negotiations that took place between the two sides, resulting in the treaty which made 4 main points:

It was here, in Medina, that Islam began to truly flourish. It was here that the laws of Islam were first put into practice, allowing the city and religion to blossom. Muhammad (PBUH) successfully brought peace amongst the warring factions of Medina, and quite a few of them became Muslim in the process. He drafted the Constitution of Medina which proclaimed the rights and duties of each of the citizens and detailed the relationship between each of the eight tribes of Medina and the Muslim emigrants.

After the first revelation, three years passed before the angel Gabriel returned to Muhammad (PBUH) with more of the Qur’an. During those three years he spent his time in prayer and religious practice. He had not started openly preaching yet, the only other people who knew of Islam and followed him were his wife, his young cousin Ali who was only 10, his adopted son Zaid and his best friend Abu Bakr.

So, Muhammad (PBUH) was well-loved and respected by his family and friends before the revelations of the Qur’an began. The most famous incident in his life before Islam was his arbitration between four major clans in Mecca that were near taking up arms against each other. There had been a flash flood that destroyed part of the Ka’aba and each of the four major tribes were helping to rebuild the holy structure. The last stone to be placed was the black stone of the corner and each of the tribes wanted the honor of putting the stone back in its place. They decided that the next person who walked through the doors of the mosque would decide which tribe would have the honor of replacing the black stone. When they saw Muhammad (PBUH) walk in they were overjoyed, for here came Al-Amin, and they were confident he would find a just solution. Muhammad’s solution was to place the black stone on a cloak and have one member of each of the four clans hold a corner to lift it up, a! and Muhammad (PBUH) himself put the stone in place. Everyone was happy with this solution and fighting was averted.

So who was this man who today has more than 1.6 billion followers? Who was this man that Michael Hart named as the “most influential person in history” in his 1978 book, The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History? What is it about him that continues to inspire so many people today in the west and afar, causing Islam to be the fastest growing religion in the world? Why is Muhammad the most common name in the world today?

Mecca was a thriving commercial center and the home of the Ka’aba which is believed to have been built by Abraham and his son Ishmael. Even in that era of pre-Islam the Ka’aba was a holy site of pilgrimage for all of Arabia, but at that time it was filled with idols that were thought to be intermediaries between the worshipper and Allah. In pre-Islamic Arabia Allah was recognized as the Supreme Being, but the paganism and idolatry had corrupted the true religion that was originally brought to the Arabs by Ishmael.

Of course the answer is too broad to attempt in this short article, but perhaps we can have a brief introduction to this great prophet of God. His name was Muhammad ibn Abd Allah ibn Abd al-Muttalib, which means Muhammad the son of Abd Allah the son of Abd al-Muttalib. He was born on Monday, the 12th of Rab'i-ul Awwal (1) in the year of the Elephant. Certainly, it was the most auspicious day in the history of mankind. He was born into the tribe of Quraysh and the family of Banu Hashim in Mecca around 570 CE, to a family standard that could be described as “upper middle class.” His father died before he was born and his mother died when he was around six years old. The young orphan was then sent to live with his paternal grandfather, Abd al-Muttalib. When he was just eight years old, his grandfather also died and Muhammad (PBUH) was cared for by his uncle, Abu Talib, who continued to support and protect him for the next 40 years.

The other clans of Quraysh implemented a trade embargo on the clan of Banu Hashim, Muhammad’s clan. The embargo lasted for three years and many of the clan starved to death. Khadija, weakened by starvation, died during this time as did his beloved uncle and sole protector, Abu Talib. That was the year 619 CE, “the year of sorrows.”

In the year 613 Muhammad (PBUH) started to speak out in public, calling people to give up the worship of idols and worship only Allah, the one true God. At first the Meccans only thought he was a nuisance, they laughed at him and said his only followers were an old lady, a slave and a little boy. But, as he continued to preach the number of followers grew. The entire economy of Mecca was based on the idols housed inside the Ka’aba, so when Muhammad (PBUH) started to preach against the idol worshipping he was threatening the finances of the leaders of Quraysh. They offered Muhammad (PBUH) all the money, stature and women in Mecca if he would stop preaching, but he said that he preached for God and needed nothing from the materials of this world. They began to physically torture the Muslims and tried to get them to denounce Islam and they brutally murdered many more. Muhammad (PBUH) was protected from physical harm by his uncle Abu Talib who stood by his nephew’s side his entire life, but never converted to Islam.

Of course the Meccans were outraged and vowed all-out war on the Muslims until Muhammad (PBUH) was dead and Islam effectively obliterated. The next major battle was the Battle of Uhud, where the Muslims lost more than 75 men and were defeated by the Meccans. However, they were unsuccessful in killing the prophet or his closest companions, Umar and Abu Bakr, so they were not satisfied. It was in this battle that Hamza ibn Abd al-Muttalib, the beloved uncle of the prophet (PBUH) was killed.

In 624 the first and possibly most famous major battle between the Muslims and the Meccans took place, the Battle of Badr. In this battle the Muslims were outnumbered more than 3 to 1, yet they were victorious. They killed at least 45 Meccans and took approximately 70 prisoners of war while losing only 14 Muslims. Many of the prisoners of war were wealthy, so the Muslims ransomed them off for high prices which further increased their growing wealth. The prisoners who could not afford to ransom themselves were let go for free.

Muhammad’s (PBUH) success in Medina was like a thorn in the sides of the Meccans. Although he was no longer physically in their presence, he had become quite famous and was thus constantly with them through conversations.

In 633 Muhammad (PBUH) passed away at the age of 63. He had succeeded in taking the pagan, tribal society of Arabia and changing it to a monotheistic land that denounced tribalism and nationalism and completely changed every aspect of the society and government. He had proved himself to be a prophet of God, a man of truth, a man who revolutionized the world for all time, a loving husband and father, an intelligent and highly successful politician, a master of strategy and military command, a faithful friend, a good neighbor and the greatest man to ever walk the face of the earth. He is Muhammad (PBUH), the prophet of God sent as a mercy to all of the world.

In the year 630 he prophet (PBUH) gathered a huge army of more than 10,000 men and marched on Mecca. Without a drop of blood shed, the Muslims marched into Mecca and took control. Muhammad forgave all of the Meccans for the crimes that they had committed against the Muslims, which was revolutionary for that place and time, the norm would have been revenge. Muhammad (PBUH) marched right up to the Ka’aba, entered it, and smashed all of the idols that were housed inside. Almost all of the Meccans converted to Islam though they were not forced to, and, because of Mecca’s importance to Arabia, very shortly after all of Arabia converted to Islam.

Two years after the treaty was signed, a clan associated with the Meccans raided a clan associated with the Muslims, killing several people. Muhammad (PBUH) sent a letter to the Meccans stating that either they should pay blood money for the killed, or cease all ties with the offending clan, or consider the Treaty of Hudaybiya nullified. The Meccans chose to nullify the treaty, but soon realized that was a mistake. They sent a delegation to try to reinstate the treaty, but Muhammad (PBUH) denied them.

Muslims in Medina who wanted to return to Mecca could do so. Many of the Muslims were unhappy with the treaty since they felt it greatly favored the Meccans, but Allah revealed verses in the Qur’an that stated it was an emphatic victory. And indeed, it was. Because of the peace treaty the men of Mecca and Medina were able to meet in peace, and in the next two years the number of Muslims more than doubled.

4. Any Muslims living in Mecca were forbidden to move to Medina, but any

3. When they come for hajj they should not stay in Mecca more than 3 days.

2. The Muslims would not be allowed to make the pilgrimage that year, but could return the following year for hajj.

1. Both sides would cease hostile activities against each other.

Bismillah
The exalted Creator is said to have (3,000) names. 1,000 are known only to the Angels. 1,000
only the Prophets know. 300 in the Torah, 300 hundred in the Psalms, 300 hundred in the Gospel, 99 in the Holy Qur'an. One name is kept secret by the Almighty Lord. This is called Ismul-' A'zam the Supreme Name, to signify that one Name is unique to Him, and remains hidden within His Essence. The Divine Names in Islam are 99 in number; the word "Allah" rounds the number to 100.The 99 Names can be divided into 3 groups which are: Jalal-Majesty, Jamal-beautiful and Kamal-perfection.

The attributes of Allah that fall under the name of Jalal are known to us through His infinite and divine Majesty which are apparent through His creation throughout the universe. The attributes of Jamal, on the other hand, become evident with their plentiful blessings, which we respond to with gratitude. The Kamal names reveal works of art that have been created with perfection and wisdom and invite people to contemplate on this.

The names that are mainly Jalal and Jamal are also symmetry in the names: He‘s both, merciful and wrathful, beautiful and majestic, forgiving and just, and so on.

The response to divine jalal is fear, and the response to jamal is hope. In a well known tradition it says ―Iman lies between khawf and Raja‖ – that faith is situated between fear and hope. This implies that a correct relationship with Allah, is to understand all His names in a manner appropriate to each.

1.The Mystery of the Supreme Being Allah

Allah: The name of Allah

Allah is Al-Ismul-' A'zam, the greatest name which contains all the divine attributes and is the sign of the essence and cause of all existence. Allah does not resemble in any way any of His creation. The word Allah refers to Allah's name only, nothing else can assume this name or share it. Any person who is suffering from a big disease which is incurable reads this name 100 times and prays for his good health God will grant him health. Whoever reads this name of Allah 1000 times daily, all doubts and uncertainties will be removed from his heart and, instead, determinations and faith will become inborn in him... Insha-Allah. Our beloved Prophet has also told us about the Supreme Name in his noble sayings, the Hadith.―The Supreme Name of Allah is in these two Verses of the Holy Qur'an: Your God is One God [Wahld]. There is no god but He [Hu], All-Merciful [Rahman] and Compassionate [Rahim] [2:163].

Alif Lam Mim. Allah, there is no god but He [Hu], the Living [Hayy], the Self-Subsisting [Qayyiim].
[3:1-2]. "And in: Faces shall be humbled to the Living [Hayy], the Self-Subsisting [Qayyiim.]. He who bears evil will have failed. [20:111]."

It is also reported, that the Supreme Name is Ya Rabb, Ya Rabb (Lord, Lord!).

Out of compassion, Allah keeps certain things concealed. He conceals His intimate friends, the saints, so that we may all respect one another. He has concealed the Night of Power in the month of Ramadan, so that people will avoid wickedness and devote themselves to worship on every night of this sacred month. He does not reveal which act of worship He most favours, so that all His sacred laws shall be observed. He has hidden His Supreme Name in the Glorious Qur'an, so that
His servants should read it all. Anyone who reads the Qur'an from beginning to end will come across this Supreme Name, but without realizing he has done so.

The great Saint °Abdu'l-Ahad al-Nuri sings in a hymn of praise: Sufi, rest not at the Names;
Come learn Whose Names they are. To know the Named One, that's the aim,
The only aim in studying the Names. Allah the All-Glorious says: "If you call upon Me with these Names, I shall answer your call. "If we use the Most Beautiful Names in our prayers of supplication, our pleas are sure of divine acceptance, for Allah — Glorious is His Majesty — says: "Call upon Me by these Names of Mine.''
None can prevail against Allah. He prevails over all things, and is Sufficient unto Himself. He answers the prayers of those who call on Him, and He is Aware of all their inner thoughts. ‗Keep your words private or speak openly, He knows what your breasts contain.‘ [67:13].

2.The Divine Attributes And Qualities of Allah

The name Allah contains meanings that indicate the non-resemblance of Allah to anything else. They are:

All creation is in need of Him. All creation has become by the
order of "BE" and has died by His order.
5. Mukhalafatuni-I-hawadith- Transcendence: He is the creator bearing no resemblance
to the created resembles Him.
6. Qiyam bi-nafsihi- Self-subsistence -: He has no need of space, but space needs Him.

3.The Permanent Attributes Of Allah.

Allah is perfection. The extent of this perfection is infinite. The greatest name of Allah, contains eight essentials indicating His perfections.

Kalam -Speech: Allah speaks, though not with a voice like ours, nor with the sound we
make.
8. Takeen- Creativity: Allah has created everything that exists, and He goes on creating. If He wishes. He destroys. Nothing can oppose His command.

4.One of the 99 beautiful names of Allah: Ya Latif

―Allahu Latifun bi 'ibadihi, yarzuqu man yasha'u, wa huwa l'-Qawiyyu l-'Aziz‖
Allah is gentle with His servants. he provides for whom He wills, and he is the Strong the Mighty.

Just to introduced the spiritual station of our Master Imam Abul-hassan Shadhili al-Qutb, When asked of his own spiritual master he responded: For a long time I was attached to the Shaykh Abu Muhammad ibn Mashish, but now I am swimming in ten seas: Five of them are human, namely the Prophet (saw), Abu Bakr, ‘Umar, ‘Uthman, and ‘Ali, while five of them are of the angelic beings, namely, Jibril, Mika’il, Izra’il, and the Greater Spirit.‖ And from these ten seas the great Shadhili master left behind 18 Hizbs in total which the (Hizb-ul-Bahr)-Litany of the sea’, is the most famous and read, Imam Shadhili said, in reference to the Hizbul -Bahr; 'By God, I did not utter it (the Litany of the Sea) except as it came from the Prophet of God, from whose instruction I learned it. "Guard it;' he said to me, "for it contains the Ismul-'A'zam -greatest name of God:'

As soon as the reader recites the first verse of the Hizbul–Bahr, that 1,000 flank of army Jinns stand to attend on the left side and 1,000 flank of army angels stand by this right stand of the reader waiting for the orders to attack his enemies. And it is also read whenever one is in particular need of something or being attacked, in which case one makes one‘s intention and at certain words makes hand and blowing movements, and if read at sunrise at fajr it possesses particular spiritual properties too.

The Dhikr of Ya-latif is the core name that all the Shadhiliyyah followers practice, this noble name in there daily wird, my own Tariqah also takes from the secrets of the Shadhili-darqawi path too, that being (Tariqah Al-Qadiri-Budshishiyyah of Sidi Hamza)

From His beautiful and excellent Names is Ya Latif -O Gentle and Al-Latif: the meaning is the Ever-Discreetly Gentle, most affectionate, the knower of all subtleties, The Subtle One, The Gracious, The One who is kind to His slaves and endows upon them, Most affectionate or knower of innermost secrets. He is the most delicate, fine, gentle, beautiful one. He is the one who knows the finest details of beauty. The finest of His beauties are hidden in the secrets of the beauties of the soul, wisdom, and divine light.

The Subtle. He who knows the minute‘s subtleties of all things. He imperceptibly fashions the greatest refinements, and gently and inconspicuously extends all kinds of benefits to His servants. The Refined and Benevolent, The One who is kind, Most Affectionate Or Knower Of Innermost Secrets. The One who is most subtle and gracious. The One whose nature is gentle, affectionate, courteous
and refined. The One who is kind, gracious, and understanding, with regard for the subtle details of individual circumstances. The One whose delicate perception reveals the subtleties of all things. From the root l-t-f which has the following classical Arabic connotations:
to be thin, delicate, refined, elegant, graceful
to be gentle, gracious, courteous, kindly
to be subtle, to know the obscurities of all affairs
to treat with regard for circumstances
to be most soothing and refined in manner
to treat with kindness, goodness, gentleness, benevolence, affection

Subtle/Gentle: (1) so slight as to be difficult to detect or analyze, (2) operating in a hidden way [American Heritage Dictionary, 3rd Edition]. Latif: in the Arabic language: (1) the One who gives us our wants in a subtle way, (2) the One who does not wrong his servants even a little bit, (3) the One who shows grace to His creation by giving them their needs with gentleness and subtlety, (4) the One who knows the hidden delicacies of affairs [Fayruzabadi, The Encompassing Dictionary]. Whoever reads this Name Ya Latif daily; Allah will grant abundance in his rizq (sustenance) and cause all his tasks to be accomplished without difficulties. It is the noble attribute of Allah that saves one from poverty, misery, sickness, loneliness or any adversity, for Allah will surely grant him deliverance – Insha-Allah. (For the one that has the ‗Ijaza- permission to recite Ya Latif which is part of our daily Wird in our Tariqah too). The hint is that the word Latif reminds you of lutf and basically ‗lutf in food‘ like the pleasure in eating. So rizq is easy to remember and others (poverty, misery & sickness) are non-lutf stuff. He Allah is the One who is so discreet in His actions that He discerns the hidden and secret, and
what the hearts are filled with. He also perceives what is in the lands, of enclosed grains and seeds. He is Ever-Gentle with His devoted slaves and makes things easy for them and keeps them away from difficulties. He makes the path to His Pleasure and Generosity easy for them.

He protects them from every and means that may lead to His anger. This is through means that they may perceive as well as means that they do not perceive. He Allah also decrees matters for them that they dislike in order for them to be granted what they love.

He is Gentle with them with respect to their own souls as He guides them to His beautiful ways and His noble creations. He is Gentle with them with respect to matters that are external to them with every goodness and righteousness.

The name Al-Latif is close in its meaning to Al-Khabeer (the Well-Acquainted with all things), Al- Ra`uf (the Clement) and Al-Kareem (the Generous).

Ya Latifu: O Subtle One! If a poor and lonely person invokes this glorious Name 129 times after performing a prayer of two cycles, all his wishes will be fulfilled.

Whoever reads this name 133 times daily, Allah will grant abundance in his Rizq. Anyone involved in any adversity at all should make wudhu in the proper manner and offer 2 rakaat salat then bearing in mind the objective (like deliverance from adversity) say this Ism 129 times: Allah will surely grant him deliverance Insha Allah.

―Ya Latif” 129 times in the morning and evening. Increase the number to 133 in times of difficulty. Habib Kadhim said it encompasses all the names of Allah which express His beauty. By reading this name morning and evening one will be constantly in the realm of Allah‘s care and gentleness. The meaning of ―lutf‖ is Allah bringing benefit and deflecting harm from an individual in a manner that that individual is unaware of).

To be open the sirr-secrets of the noble name Ya-Latif one needs to have ‗Ijaza-permission to recite Ya Latif which is part of Tariqah, thus the only way to really benefit 100% is to join tariqah. Also From the ‗Book of the Healing of the Sickness and Pains’ by Shaykh Muhammad ibn Ja'far al-Kittani al-Hasani there is a section about the ‗Practical guide of asking Forgiveness of Wrong Actions’, 34 are mentioned and also another extra 10 addition, are reported to release someone from the Fire; The 10 , practice Is said to recite " Ya Latif " 16,641 times. (Again I stress one needs 'ijaza and best practise is to join the tariqah)

5.Numerical value-Abjad and Al-Latif –The Subtle

The best and effective way that the 99 names are used is through their hidden spiritual numerical value called Abjad. Just as in chemistry were you have ‗Periodic Table of Elements‘ (elements are placed in order of increasing atomic numbers were each element is represented by a 2 letters and numbers).

The science of Islamic numerology is called (`ilm al-jafr or `ilm al-huroof) its based on Abjad (the numerical value of the letters. Abjad -is assigning each of the Arabic alphabet with numerical (The word abjad is an acronym derived from the first four consonantal shapes in the Arabic alphabet (Alif, Baa, Jeem, Daal –Abjad; see below for full abjad diagram)

It is reported that Prophet (peace be upon him) encouraged people to teach and learn about this concept. He (peace be upon him) also said that Abjad is written in Lauh-Mahfooz. Preserved Tablet.

6.Example of Abjad from Allah's Name Al -Latif - The Subtle 129 times

The basic Wird of Shadhiliyyah path. The Dhikr of Ya Latif is recited 129 times in the morning, but why 129 times because in Its numerical value when the word is broken down by each letter-huruf equals= 129 times; Lam-Ta-Yaa-Fa ; Lam=30 Ta=9 Ya=10 fa=80 totals to = 129. 129 is numerical value of Allah‘s name Al-Latif, This is The same method, that Abjad is used for bismillah-hir-rahman-nir-rahim which totals or equals=786 and the name Muhammad (saw) which totals to or equals=92 in Abjad and Allah equals=66.

7.How is Al-Latif - The Subtle used in a Wird:

To Invoke or use the Name Al-Latif, in a repeating manner, over and over as a Wird-daily;

Firstly the prefix or ‗article- Al-The’ is taken off and replaced with ‘Ya–Oh’ And also add, the suffix "u" to the end of the word. So Al-Latif is invoked as Ya-Latifu.

The way it affects the reciter may vary as that is based on the reciters current Hal-state which is also linked to their Mijaz-temperament-an individual's personality or behavioural pattern, the attributes of the Mizaj are based on The four elements or in arabic akhlaat: (bad)-air, (khak)-earth, (nar)-fire and (‘ma)-water. As the human body is filled with the four elements, which are in balance when a person is healthy. All diseases and disabilities resulted from an excess or deficit of one of these four elements, physically or spiritually. ( Air, associated with the liver , which is the hot and moist element. Fire, associated with the spleen, which is the hot and dry element. Earth, associated with the gall bladder, which is the cold and dry element. Water, associated with the lungs and brain, which is the cold and moist element

Earth and Water:- Heavy elements are strong, negative, passive, and female.
Fire and Air:- Light elements are weak, positive, active, heavenly, and male.)

Each of the 99 names also corresponds, to one of the four elements (air, water, earth and Fire). Ya-Latifu corresponds to the element of ‘Fire’ of the four elements. (see below for full 99 Names Of Allah with Abjad Value and corresponding Four elements chart)

What this means is some people would only have to recite the name over a short period of time and they will be quickly effected by the name, from its spiritual energy or Anwar-lights and it would affect their heart and faculties to Dhawq-taste or drink from its Asrar-secrets. Thus there Fath-Opening would start to happened but for others with would take more time. And each of the 99 Names or attributes resonate its own unique spiritual energy or signature that, affects the reader they resonate or vibrate through the brain and at Harvard, Yale Researchers found people who meditate grow bigger brains than those who don't. Particular divine names such as ―Ya Hayy,‖ ―Ya Jabbar,‖ and so forth, like the Allah-Supreme Name, require permission to recited, except in limited numbers of short duration. This is because each divine name carries a particular power, and the heart and mind of the disciple may not be prepared to handle an overload of this power, just as an electrical appliance is designed to handle only a certain type of current.

Also at a higher level, or advance stage, the seeker under the authority of a guide, reads the name many hundreds or thousands of times, then calls on the corresponding Muwakkil-guarding Angel that protects Ya-Latifu secrets, as each of the Names is locked or guarded by a Muwakkil-guarding Angel- there are also Jinn Muwakkils too. But are not concerned about them, here. The more one reads with ‘idhn-permission a given Name of Allah, like Ya-Latifu, and if the seeker constantly prays and repeats that name of Allah, the closer that angel will come to you. This angel will gradually help and assist you in fulfilling you wishes and hopes. You will suddenly feel a help
and assistance coming from the unseen for all your matters. And thus that holy name of Allah becomes your Ismul-' A'zam to some degree.

8.Scientific proof supporting the effect dhikr has on the human brain- as a Wird.

What is the brain itself? All the activity of the brain is nothing but bio-electrical activity in several distinct parts of it, amongst various sets of neurons (cellular groups) where each are assigned a specific duty, functioning as a whole. Each and every day 14 million neurons that make up the brain, are in constant interaction with 16 billion neighbouring neurons. All our activities and our understanding, that is all the functioning of the brain is the result of countless bio-electrical flows, are brought to existence in these sets of neurons occurring as a result of these interactions. When a Dhikr-remembrance is done as Wird-daily practice you continuously repeat a given name of Allah, a specific number of times and therefore reflecting a meaning that belongs to Allah During the repetition of that Name of Allah, certain regions of the brain are engaged and become active.
There occurs a bio-electrical-(activity of the brain) flow in those neural groups of the brain. After that task is performed repeatedly (as you repeat on the same name or a group of names as in the Wird example of Ya-Latifu 100, 1,000 times) the neural activity increases, and so does the bioelectrical energy.

In turn, this overflows and new sets of neurons are put to work and so, some other regions of the brain become active. Therefore the brain begins to expand. The brain starts to bring out new meanings, perspectives and commentaries which it had not previously used before the practice of dhikr. It is opening to receive the Truth. So just think what the effect that dhikr has on the heart to receive the Truth! – (this is a scientific fact proven in Scientific American', December 1993, laboratory findings which described the practicing of dhikr-remembrance, namely the repetitions of nouns in the brain, increases neural activity).

9.Brain increases through meditation

Dhikr-Meditation can actually increase the size of the brain. Specifically, it thickens the cerebral cortex in areas important for attention and concentration. In other words, the structure of an adult brain can change in response to repeated practice results of experiments showing that meditation can increase brain size, People who meditate grow bigger brains than those who don't-Researchers at Harvard, Yale. Some studies of meditation have linked the practice to increased activity in the left prefrontal
cortex, which is associated with concentration, planning, meta-cognition (thinking about thinking), and positive affect (good feelings). There are similar studies linking depression and anxiety with decreased activity in the same region, and/or with dominant activity in the right prefrontal cortex. Meditation increases activity in the left prefrontal cortex, and the changes are stable over time even if you stop meditating for a while, the effect lingers. The neural systems important for concentration are given a big rest and a chance to rejuvenate. Kind of like letting the battery recharge. When you come out of meditation, these systems are fully primed and ready to go; your ability to focus will be at its peak.

So each of the 99 names when read in repetition-Wird in Mediation- that is having presence of heart-Hudur Qalb, affects the brain by increase its size, which increases our ‗Aql- intellect. It‘s through the secrets of the numerical value of the huruf-letters (and the amount the name is repeated) which the angels are carrying, that makeup each of the divine Names of Allah. And Those Names open and up lock the angelic power they possess that releases power, grace and virtues of that Name into the consciousness, soul and heart and even the surrendering area are given protection from troubles and afflictions for the reader. At the advance level the reader (under the guide of a real Sufi shaykh) becomes deeply engulfed in the name, that it echoes deep within him that be becomes that divine name, Thus the one who for example reads Ya-Latifu becomes ‘Abdal-Latif, that his heart opens and he sees with Basira-
inner eye of the Heart. He gains the power of firasa- insight and sees with the Nur-Light of God and has became the manifestation of the divine name/s of Allah, when the reality of this name is manifested in such a person, he is able to see or read the reality of all things.

Hence, the Prophetic saying, ‗Safeguard yourselves or beware from the mu‘min-believer's firasa-insight, for he sees with the Nur-light of Allah’. Also there is a verse in the Quran that says‗Therein lie portents for those who read the signs’ (al-mutawassimin) (Quran 15: 75) meaning; those who possess vision-(al-mutafarrisin), For Allah has servants who know (the truth about people) through ‗reading the signs‘ (tawassum). He sees not only with physical eyes, but also with eyes that are empowered by his inner vision, and both are in unity. firasa is a Nur-light which Allah, deposits in the heart of His servant. By this light, his servant distinguishes between truth and falsehood and between right and wrong. Firasa is linked to 3, the eye, ear and heart and one‘s firasa is dependent on the strength of Iman-faith, and there are two factors in firasa, one is the quality of one‘s mind-thoughts, the sharpness of the heart and the intelligence. The quality and sharpened of the hear are only through a lot of dhikr and meditation
of the 99 divine names of Allah. (Firasa, means in a general sense; penetrating insight, inner
vision, intuitive knowledge, discernment, visual acumen, perception and insight)

He fulfils a tradition that says ‗..My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory-(nafil) works so that I shall love him. When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it...‘ The above tradition mentions love What needs to be mentioned is that the supererogatory-(nafil) needs to be done with Muhabb-Love for when you give or do Dhikr of Allah with Muhabb-love, Allah returns with more Muhabb-love. It is pointless doing dhikr for the sake of doing Dhikr. No, one needs to be doing Dhikr for Allahs Rida-Pleasure only not worldly gains or a reason for that is notreal love not but a conditional love which is impure.

10.The Spiritual Hajj to the Heart is Love and Knowing Allah through Love

And this Love is a spiritual journey of the Heart a Spiritual Hajj in Hadith Qudsi Allah says, ‗Neither My heaven nor My earth can contain Me, but the heart of My believing slave can contain Me.‘ And also 'Neither My Heavens nor My Earth can hold Me, but the heart of my servant, is a house for me' and also another tradition ‗The Heart of a Believer is the House of God -" Ka’bah". From the Quran '...and sanctify My house for those who compass It round, or stand up, or bow, or prostrate themselves-(therein In prayer). - Qur‘an Al-Hajj: 26. The Ka‘bah has 4 corners as does the Heart has 4 valves or Chambers in Human Science, 2 atria and 2 ventricles, 4 Elements earth, air, water, fire 4 Enemies Nafs, Hawa, Dunya, Shaytan. And there are 4 stations of the heart or 4 Spiritual Hearts- 1. Breast-Sadr 2. Heart proper-Qalb 3. Inner heart-Fu’ad- Vision is attachedto this station of the heart. and 4. Intellect-Lubb. So the heart has 4 spiritual levels from which it sees and understand (The 4 stations of the heart are associated with one of the four spiritual stages of the Sufi path, and are summarized in the table- see link below The Fu'ad-Inner Heart -
is associated with the vision-ru’yah of reality. Whereas the heart-Qalb has mere knowledge of
reality, the inner heart actually sees reality. This 'seeing Heart' is called Basirah-'Eye of the
Heart' and This is how the Saints of Allah-Wail sees, there can look with the Firasa-Inner sight or
looking with the Nur of Allah.

'The heart (Fu'ad) has not denied what it has seen'-Quran. As the eye of the heart, an organ of
vision, the spiritual station of Fu'ad is above all that of excellence-Ihsan. This station is described
in the Hadith of Jibril as follows : "Ihsan, is to adore God as if you see Him, for if you do not see
Him, He sees you." So understand the inner heart-fu’ad is the seat of seeing-ru’yah, it is only
the inner heart which sees whereas the heart -Qalb know there is a big difference in Knowing and
seeing-[ Further reading text 'A Sufi Work on the Stations of the Heart 'by Al-Hakim Al-
Tirmidhi' and a summary of that text is 'The Secret of Four Spiritual Hearts’ -see Matrix table end of text) And another tradition says 'He who knows himself, knows his Lord' and another tradition ' To My secret of sincere worship there is a secret. I have entrusted that secret to the hearts of those of My slaves whom I love'.

Additionally there is the Hajj or pilgrimage, in a tradition it says: ‗Whoever dies without the intention to go on the Hajj-Pilgrimage, may die on a different faith than that of surrender to Allah‘. One must strive to perform pilgrimage to the House of Allah once in a lifetime. However, the real pilgrimage is to travel to one‘s heart because it is the Real House-Ka‘bah of Allah. As for those struggle to find Allah in a tradition it says, 'I am with those whose hearts are broken for The heart of a man receives shocks in many ways, e.g. anxieties, troubles, accidents, casualties and so the heart is broken. Why does it need to be broken, living with the 4 Enemies Nafs, Hawa, Dunya, Shaytan, makes us delude and we get deceived and so they are reminders of of these delusion that we not going to live forever in this that this world is forever, as our aim and
target is Allah‘s mercy and bounty. When Allah breaks the heart of any of His servants He desires to lift them to greater heights.

These shocks, anxieties and sorrows which come to men are forced exertions in deen-(faith) by which the servants progress in leaps and bounds to higher degrees and this is not possible in normal circumstances The divine light penetrates into the broken hearts, so do not be afraid of occasions of sorrow and shocks. If you truly and firmly believe in Allah then this broken heart, these rising sighs and these tears will take you to greater heights of spiritual achievement, For When Allah Loves you we will test you so learn the science of Sabr and be beauty with it by having ‗Adaab with your problems with duas and not complaining about it expect to the one that gave them to you,Allah complain to him through duas of Love to save you from the deluge of problems.

11.The secrets of Allah's Mercy in Forgiving sins through Hardship/Tribulations

"Certainly, We shall test you with fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits; but give glad tidings to the patient - those who, when afflicted with calamity say, "Truly to Allah we belong, and truly to Him shall we return." it is those who will be awarded blessings and mercy from their Lord; and it is those who are the guided ones." [2:155-157] And '..And be patient in hardship for, verily, God is with those who are patient in hardship'- Quran Al-Anfal 8:46 It is only through affliction that ranks are distinguished and their stations determined and everyone is in Levels or Ranks, and it is by those levels or ranks of understanding do we react to the hardship that befalls us. Trial that servants have no hand in them and Trial that the servants have hands in them. We have tried them with both prosperity and adversity: in order that they might turn (to Us). 7:168

Holy saying or Tradition of Allah-Hadith Qudsi, ‗Oh Son of Adam if you are patient and sacrificed for Allah's reward when you receive the first shock of an affliction I wouldn't accept less than Paradise for you as a reward for you'.Reward of Sins and Sign of Allah's Love: a tradition say ‗Hardships continue to befall a believing man and woman in their body, family, and property, until they meet Allah burdened with no sins.' and another Tradition "When Allah wills good for a servant of His, He speeds up his punishment in
this life; and when He wills retribution for a servant of His, He holds his sins for Him to judge him by them on the Day of Resurrection'.

This is how the 99 names could be understood from the resonating spiritual energy that each of the 99 Names releases into reader, when any of the Divines Names is repeated on a daily bases. Rijal- Allah-‘The men of Allah’ or the Saints have reached these highest, they are the real ‘Abdallah- Slaves of Allah and they are dressed in these names, and they drink from there secrets.

12.Also Every person has a personal Ismul-'A'zam too.

Every person has an Ismul-'A'zam, either based on his/her name or circumstances. The great Sufis and friends of Allah have given us very simple and logical methods to work out our Ismul-'A'zam. Every name has a quantity, according to the concept of Har’uf-Abjad. It is reported that Prophet (peace be upon him) encouraged people to teach and learn about this concept. He (peace be upon him) also said that Abjad is written in Lawuh-Mahfooz- Preserved Tablet. Remember, every name of Allah has a Muwakkil-angel, who constantly prays and repeats that name of Allah. And the more you read your Ismul-'A'zam, the closer this angel will come to you. This angel will gradually help and assist you in fulfilling you wishes and hopes. You will suddenly feel a help and assistance coming from the unseen for all your matters

Some Sufis have also mentioned that if one with honest and humble intentions punctually reads Ismul-'A'zam, then one day you will be able to see and witness that angel. This is power of Ismul-'A'zam. May Allah give us the opportunity to worship and remember Him all the time and that we all follow the path of His beloved Prophet (peace be upon him). Lets us pray that we all live as Muslims and take our last in breath as Mu‘mins.

when Allah prescribes an Ism to someone based on his/hercircumstances then that is
their Ismul-'A'zam. It‘s based on the value of your name orcircumstances from ‘ilm Abjad,
as mention above already. This name‘s quantity according to Abjad is 165. So now it is necessary to search for Allah‘s name, which also has 165 numbers according to Abjad. If one name of Allah cannot be found with 165, then two names should be added and the process should continue until a name or several names make up 165. So in this case, Muhaymin, which is 145 and Wudud, which is 20, make up 165. So the Ismul-'A'zam of Naseema is Ya Muhaymin Ya Wudood Ya Allah. It must be noted that The Sufi
masters have advised us to associate the Dhati name ―Allah‖ in the end. If the name Allah is automatically part of your Ismul-'A'zam then you do not have to add it in the end. Furthermore, while reading your Ismul-'A'zam, you must put a YA in front of all the names of Allah. So it should be Ya Muhaymin, Ya Wadud, Ya Allah. And since the amount is 165, then the reader must read it 330 times daily by doubling it‖.

Remember, every name of Allah has a Muwakkil (angel), who constantly prays and repeats that name of Allah. And the more you read your Ismul-'A'zam, the closer this angel will come to you. This angel will gradually help and assist you in fulfilling you wishes and hopes. You will suddenlyfeel a help and assistance coming from the unseen for all your matters.

13.Scientific lessons about Dhikr and spiritual stagnation slow death of the heart.

What about those who are not performing a Wird or Dhikr on a daily basis or have just fallen behind due to lack of guidance or whatever reason. When we fall into spiritual stagnation-(stillness no motion or lack of spiritual movement) we need spiritual development to nourish this lack of flow, allowing movement from this stagnation. Spiritual stagnation causes many problems, from anxiety, depression and other such sicknesses, just like bacteria quickly grows in stagnant water so too do diseases grow in our bodies, hearts and souls without Dhikr-(there is a tradition that goes, ifthe heart is pure so too is the body pure, but if the heart is impure so too is the whole body impure, and dhikr to the soul is like water to fish, without water the fish dies and without dhikr the heart soon dies spiritually ) and know the human body is made up of 70% water too, and every life-giving and healing-Shifa process that happens inside the body happens with water.

14.Scientifically positive words, prayers & thoughts over water affects our molecular structure.

Dr. Masaru Emoto Japanese scientist proves with factual evidences the ability of water to absorb, hold, and even retransmit human feelings and emotions. Using high-speed photography, he found that crystals formed in frozen water reveal changes when specific, concentrated thoughts are directed toward it. Music, visual images, words written on paper, and photographs also have an impact on the crystal structure. Emoto theorizes that since water has the ability to receive a wide range of frequencies, it can also reflect the universe in this manner. He found that water from clear springs and water exposed to loving words shows brilliant, complex, and colourful snowflake patterns, while polluted water and water exposed to negative thoughts forms incomplete, asymmetrical patterns with dull colours. People are 70% water, and the Earth is 70 percent water, we can heal our planet and ourselves by consciously expressing love and goodwill. So looking from a sufic perspective through human vibration energy-Hadra, ideas or positive thoughts-Khayal,(70,000 thoughts a day, more mentioned below) repetition of words-Dhikr, and music-Qa‘said, visual images-Muraqah, words written on paper-Wird Quran or Wazeefa and through Photographs- Tasawwur-e-Shaykh pictures of the shaykh, our molecular structure changes to angelic colourful snowflake patterns so we can heal ourselves consciously with Dhikr. It says When Surah Yasin is read over water 1000 illness are cured and that water is called barakah or Healing- Shifa water, (so now we have a scientist that has proved this, so those that have an issue why we pray or do Dhikr or Khatm over food) Now think about the Fiqh of water and the 7 types of water used in wudu and look the barakah of doing wudu, it washes away sins that we commit. And so the quality of our spiritual life is directly connected to the quality of our water.

Now think about the impact of reciting the 99 divine names of Allah or Dhikr, and how it will alter your molecular structure from sickness to healing and from healing transform to angelic lights flowing through your soul, his will increase ones well being and spiritual aura-Nasma or some call it our etheric energy. There are 7 types of colour to the Aura which are linked to 7 Levels Nafs/Souls -(Latifahs) each also has one of 99 divine names Attributed to it to open its doors, [ The Seven subtle Latifah are:
1.As-sadr –Breast- 2. Al-Qalb – The heart 3. Ar-Ruh -The Spirit 4. As-sirr Inner or Spiritual heart.
5.As-sara'ir – The Consciences 6.Al-Akhfa –The Hidden 7. Al-Khafa – Secrecy. And Levels of Seven
Nafs are; 1. An-Nafs al-Ammara-Inciting to evil self, 2. Nafs al Lawwamah-Reproachful self, 3. Nafs
al Mulhimah-Inspired Self, 4. Nafs al Mutmainnah-Tranquil Self, 5. Nafs ar Radiyyah-Content Self, 6.
Nafs al Mardiyyah-Pleasing Self, 7. Nafs al-Kamila-The Perfect Self- See Table matrix ] (the colour of the Aura are mentioned in many traditions too, and spiritual practices. The aura is the electromagnetic field that surrounds the human body (Human Energy Field-HEF) and every organism and object in the Universe. The Human Energy Field as a collection of electro - magnetic energies of varying densities that permeate through and emit or exit from the physical body of a living person. These particles of energy are suspended around the healthy human body in an oval shaped field. This "auric egg" emits out from the body approximately 2-3 feet [1 metre on average] on all sides. It extends above the head and below the feet into the ground.) But negative thoughts, notions, emotions, movements also affect our molecular structure, this happens be taught out by or nafs or shaytan as there are only 3 doors shaytan robs through 1. Hawa/Passions - appetite, 2. Ghafalah/forgetfulness and 3. ghadab/ Anger as for Anger. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, ―Satan runs through the blood veins of son of Adam, but when he remembers Allah,-dhikr Satan retreats!‖ There is no protection against Shaytan than constancy in dhikr . That is why Allah says, (Those who fear (Allah), when a passing notion from the Devil troubles them, they remember, and they (immediately) see (clearly between right and wrong)) (Al-A`raf 7:201). It is important whenever such negative thoughts or Anger or suggestions from the shaytan overwhelm our minds, we fight them through dhikr of the 99 divine names and seeking refuge in Allah. Here is a protective Dua that can be also used on a regular basis as well when such evil suggestions afflict us: Bismillaahi alladhee Laa yahdurr ma`ismihi shay’un fi al-ardi walaa fi as-samaa’i wa huwa as-samee`u al-`aleem. (In the name of Allah; with His name, nothing whatsoever on earth or heaven can inflict any harm; He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.) So stagnation in Dhikr or lack of Dhikr causes spiritual death of the heart and which effect our molecular structure or infected with diseases causing physical and spiritual sicknesses, and only with Dhikr it causes movement and spiritual growth. To get out of this spiritual stagnation one needs quality Ibadah- worship for the soul and body which gives movement and nourishment and positive thoughts- Khawatir and duas also changes ones energy levels too.

15.Every day 70,000 thoughts(khawatir) pass through the heart

Every day 70,000 Khawatir (thoughts) pass through the heart and none of them can escape it and the whole combination of these thoughts is divided up into four categories, referring to the veiled hearts: How many of these thoughts we grasp depends upon our spiritual awareness. The four categories are either Satanic thoughts (Shaytani), Tarnished Soul thoughts (Nafsani) Angelic thoughts (Maliki) Lordly thoughts (Rabbani)The Saints say that human beings breaths 24,000 times in 24 hours. That is 12,000 we inhale and 12,000 we exhale ( and with every inhalation there are 10 angels accompanying that breath, and 10 with every exhalation) and our 70,000 thoughts are carried on these breaths. As our breath leaves our body it makes a signature, a pattern, a colour which is a language, this is the language of our thoughts-Khawatir, they are flying in the air and this language can be read by Saints and this is how the saints reads a person‘s heart as all your thoughts leave you mind and travel through your breath, which turns into a colour, either a negative-darkness or positive-Nur colour that carries your message (one needs to simple think in front of a saint-Wali and they can read it from your breath thus, one suddenly get a understanding or sense of the tradition as mentioned earlier ‘safeguard yourselves or beware from the mu’min-believer's firasa- insight’ so they are read our deeds, Just to mention a little more about firasa- It is well known that Abu Bakr As-Siddiq is considered to be the one with the greatest firasa in the ummah and Umar was the second. The incidents that prove Umar’s firasah are numerous, familiar and well-known. He never said with regards to anything, “I think this is so,” but it was what he thought. The fact that the Quran approved of his opinion sin many incidents is sufficient evidence of his sharp firasah. One of which was his opinion regarding the redemption of the captives from the Battle of Badr. Once a man named Sawad Bin Qarib passed by and Umar dind’t know him. Umar said, “This is either a soothsayer or he was so in the days of jahiliyyah.” Upon sitting before Umar, Sawad said, “O commander of the faithful! You never received any of your guests the way you did me.” Umar said, “What we used to do in the days of jahiliyyah is worse than this. But tell me about what I have asked you.” Sawad said, “You were true, O commander of the faithful! I was a soothsayer in the days of jahiliyyah, then he told him the story.”The sahabah, in general, had the most accurate and sharpest firasah. The true firasah is obtained from life and from the light Allah grants to whom He wishes from amongst His true servants. The heart receives life and light and then its firasah will almost never be wrong. Allah says, “Is he who was dead and We gave him life and set for him a light whereby he can walk amongst men, like himwho is in the darkness from which he can never come out?” [6:122].

So While alive on earth the Saints can read our all deeds on our faces, so we can’t hide them and from the Grave or unseen world our all our deeds are shown to the Prophet (saw) our relatives
ancestors, fathers and mothers. From many traditions it is known that, 'The works of the living are clear to the dead. Whenever they see a good deed they rejoice and are pleased; but if they see
evil they say: O Allah, return its equivalent in good.' and the tradition 'Your deeds are shown to your relatives and ancestors among the dead. If they consist in good they are happy with it, if otherwise, they say: O Allah! Don't let them die before you guide them as you have guided us.' and the tradition "Do not shame your dead with your evil deeds for your deeds are shown to your
relatives among the dwellers of the graves." and the tradition 'One's deeds are shown to Allah on Monday and Thursday, and they are shown to Prophets as well as fathers and mothers on
Fridays, at which time they rejoice for the good deeds, and the latter increase the brightness andlight of their faces. Therefore be wary of Allah and do not harm your dead.').

Its the same when perform Dhikr, Nur leaves your mouth and travels to Heaven in the form green birds, and same is true with words of truth-Haqq and thoughts and the opposite is true with darkness, such as lying and too much bad language, the actions of too much bad language transform into a Dog, and that person will turn into a dog and will be barking like a dog as he/she barked on earth with foul language this is known in hadith. Also the Nur of good actions will turn into Angels which smell like perfume and be a companion for the person in his grave, while a person with bad actions will have his actions turned into a dark, ugly form that will smell worst then a dead donkey and haunt him in his grave. So our actions and thoughts taken on form, these forms are be seen on people‘s faces like Nur or darkness, and people of bad actions will take the shapes on bad forms spiritual and physically ones like animals, as this is what they have done to their souls corrupted them, into hideous shapes, only saintly people can see the real form of peoples souls. Think, then, whether our acts are like dead trees that have to be cut and thrown into fire or like living things that must be put into eternal area of heaven. So thorough Dhikr-remember of Allah we can reach ‘higher then angels or became worst then dogs’, through each of our breaths and thoughts. We need to control these otherwise we are in danger of, Shaytan running through our blood if our thoughts get out of control-(evil or anger) or we can have the Nur of Angels running through our blood until our hearts are like Angels- (Through Dhikr of Allahs Names). There are many traditions about the high stations-maqams of the saints, one traditions says ‗There are 300 friends of Allah in the creation whose hearts are like that of Prophet Adam ‗alaihis salam. There are 40 whose hearts are similar to the heart of Musa ‗alaihis salam and 7 whose hearts are similar to the heart of Ibrahim ‗alaihis salam. There are 5 whose hearts are like that of Jibra‘il and 3 whose hearts are like that of Mika‘il and one whose heart is like the heart of Israfil. When he (whose heart is like Israfil) dies, then one of the three whose heart is like Mika‘il replaces him and one of the five (whose hearts are like Jibra‘il) replaces him.‘ This is why we need to be mindful of breathing and thoughts through Dhikr, the 1st of the 12 Principles of the Sufi Way is "Conscious Breathing" or Awareness in the Breath, Awareness in the Moment, Thus the aim of Sufi is, in every breath inhaled and exhaled must be done with awareness and presence of mind and so that the mind does not stray into forgetfulness. "This Order is built on breath. So it is a must for everyone to safeguard his breath in the time of his inhalation and exhalation." Dhikr is flowing in the body of every single living creatures by the necessity of their breath -- even without will -- as a sign of obedience, which is part of their creation. Through their breathing, the sound of the letter "Ha" of the Divine Name Allah is made with every exhalation and inhalation,. The name 'Allah' which encompasses the ninety-nine Names and Attributes consists of four letters, Alif, Lam, Lam and the same Hah (ALLAH). The people of Sufism say that the absolute unseen Essence of Allah Exalted and Almighty is expressed by the last letter vowelized by the Alif, "Ha." It represents the Absolutely Unseen "He-ness" of the Exalted God Safeguarding your breath from heedlessness will lead you to complete Presence, and complete Presence will lead you to complete Vision, and complete Vision will lead you to complete Manifestation of Allah's Ninety-Nine Names and Attributes. Allah leads you to the Manifestation of His Ninety-Nine Names and Attributes and all His other Attributes, because it is said, "Allah's Attributes are as numerous as the breaths of human beings." and thus breathe in with "Allah," breathe out with "Hu."

It must be known by everyone that securing the breath from heedlessness is difficult for seekers.

One of the greatest misunderstandings of Islam in the west today is the perception of whom or what is Allah. Many people think that Allah is the “Muslim God”, as if He were a separate entity from the “Christian God”.In fact, Allah is the standard word for God amongst all Arabic speakers; Muslims, Christians and Jews. If you pick up an Arabic version of the Bible you will find the name Allah used for God. Surprised?

Islam teaches that there is only one God, the same God that has revealed himself since the beginning of time to various prophets such as Abraham, Noah, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, peace be upon them all. Islam teaches that the cycle of humanity is something like this: God reveals himself to a prophet who then goes forth and preaches to his people, most of the people reject that prophet while a small number, usually the poor and downtrodden, will faithfully follow that prophet throughout his life. When the prophet dies there will be a group of people that continues to follow him, but slowly, over a period of generations, the information that the prophet taught will be lost or changed by mankind. Eventually, God sends another prophet to confirm the message that was brought before him and to bring people back to the straight path. Muslims believe that Muhammad (PBUH) was the final prophet to be sent forth by God to mankind, the seal of prophethood.

Perhaps the most important concept of God in Islam is the concept of Tawhid, which refers to the oneness of Allah. The greatest sin is to associate partners in the worship of God, this is called shirk in Arabic. God is only one, but that is not like the number one which can be divided into smaller parts, such as the trinity, but one and indivisible.

God describes himself in varying, subtle ways throughout the Qur’an, leaving the reader with no clear concept of what exactly He is. Even the pronoun that God uses for himself in the Qur’an is constantly changing, sometimes it is the “royal we”, sometimes it is “I” and at still other times it is the third person “He”. This is meant to leave the reader with no clear concept of God in their mind. In fact, God says in the Qur’an that He does not resemble any of His creations which is, of course, a major difference from Christianity. The fact that God is the supreme creator and doesn’t resemble any of his creations, means that any image you might come up with in your mind of what God is or looks like is false, because the mind itself is a creation.

However, we can get an understanding of who Allah is by his attributes. In the Qur’an Allah gives 99 names to himself, each of which is one of His divine attributes.
