Island Cup Race Series

Riders without a license can still register for any island cup event but they will be subject to an additional $10 charge to help cover insurance costs. This will give the rider accident insurance for the day of the race. You are only able to do this for up to 3 events for the entire year. This includes other cycling BC races like Cross on the Rock. So if you want to race more than 3 times in 2023 you need to purchase a Cycling BC Race License or a UCI License.

2022 Free insurance!

Our insurance for 2022 is very different from past years and we need your help to make it a smooth transition.
The good news is that you do not need to pay for insurance for 2022! All you need to do is “register” one more time on the Cycling BC CCN platform for your events. It’s totally free, just takes a couple minutes to register.
While the Island Cup Series is a Cycling BC sanctioned event, participants are NOT required to purchase a race license. After registration, participants should go HERE to register for Cycling BC’s single event license for insurance purposes. By selecting this, riders will be covered under Cycling BC’s Sport Accident Coverage. We pay for your license so you don’t have to! Please help us by completing this online registration before race day! Even though it’s free all participants must complete this in order to race.

2022… We’re back!!!

After a 2 year “break” we are going to give this racing thing another shot. We had big plans for 2020 after many years of growth and we hope to come back stock with some series updates for 2022.

For Enduro races we are stepping up our game significantly and working with Spruce Race timing to offer the latest in timing technology. Gone are the “Wrist Band Chips” and the “Tag in/out” days. Moving forward racers will have number plates with timing chips in the plates. When you are racing you will enter the start zone, and blast past the bottom timer at full speed and let the timing system do all of the work for you. You can also keep the plate at the end of the race.

We will be changing the category structure for Enduro events. More info to come in February.
