The Most Interesting Snark in the World opens today's show. We follow by rattling off some titles that we did during Holy Week, and then go into a funeral that I had to play at another church on the Tuesday of Easter Week. One of the bullets I had to bite (er, one of the songs I had to play/sing) is the inspiration for this particular episode. Watch and learn which song it is, and why!

The Most Interesting Snark in the world then returns to the set with a top ten list of his own revelations that make him so, well... interesting! This list, incidentally, comes from the home office located in my Dodge!

Have you ever sang certain hymns and wonder just where they went? Well, today we start a little series of hymns that we miss over here, and we're using a hymnal that I'll bet is hardly remembered - the 1976 (premiere) edition of We Celebrate (The picture on the left is one of the logos I describe). We combed through just the first 50 hymns alone and you should see what we came up with. Also, we combed through all four editions of Worship and came up with a new hymnal containing the best of all four: Worship - Ultimate Edition!
PLUS: Duck and cover (just ask Shamus O'Reilly), and a law student who wants to play, but doesn't want to pay!

Is there a club that consists of people sick of having to sing songs that gloat about everything we do at Holy Mass? If there is, count me in! Mass is not about what we do. It's about what Jesus did for us. We also include the routine "gathering rant". The two, "gathering" and Communion, seem to go hand in hand in many liturgies. This, btw, is in response to a question/concern I read on a message board that I frequent. We also review the Mass settings found in the 2012 OCP Music Issue.

The continuation of our multi-part series on the new translation of the Roman Missal, the Mass we will be celebrating beginning XI-27-11. In this installment, we touch on the Bishops' permission to use some of the new translation early, plus breaking down changes in the Credo, Orate Frates, Preface Dialogue, and Sanctus. Links include memos from the Archdioceses of Boston, New York, and Cincinnati, regarding early use of the new translation and recommended musical settings.
