Since the iPhone-dev team release a way to fix the iPhone 2G push, that needed to be run in an officaly activated device then copy those files and run a script in the hackitavated iPhone. Well today iPhoneil.net is directly hosting the 4 files in Cydia, that you don’t need another device to get the files. Here are all the steps:

• Delete any application that uses push service.
• Open Cydia in your iPhone
• Go to the  Manage > Sources > Add > Edit and add this repo http://cydia.iphoneil.net
• Go to the Changes section and install the “Push Fix“
• After reboot of the device check that Youtube works if not uninstall this device.
• Install the apps that support Push and enjoy

GeoHotz has release his Purplera1n for Mac, this is a small but usefull tool to jailbreak and install all the necessary files to unlock the iPhone 3GS with Firmware 3.0. Here is a small tutorial

Requirements:

• iTunes 8.2;
• purplera1n for Mac;
• Firmware 3.0 install in your iPhone 3GS

Guide:

1. Connect the iPhone to your computer and close iTunes

2. Open Purplera1n

3. lick on the button “Make it ra1n” The iPhone will be placed automatically in Recovery Mode

4.  In the iphones display will see the iTunes icon and the cable appear. Wait a few seconds and will see the image of GeoHotz.

5. This process takes about a minute and is used to perform the Jailbreak to install an application called Freeze. After your device is automatically restarted, and again in Normal Mode.

6. Go into Settings and set up your WiFi connection. Once you have an active connection, run “Freeze” and click on “Install Cydia”.

7. The download process will last a little ‘and at the end you’ll have to restart the iPhone. Once again we find the Cydia icon on Springboard.

8. Open Cydia and wait for the automatic reorganization of applications. Afterwards, install the updates that are offered essential.

How to remove the Freeze icon from the Springboard.

• Open Cydia and look for an app called Cydelete;
• Go to settings and look for cydelete >in the Cydelete Turn on the  “Non-Cydia Deletion”;
• After respring, made a long tap on the Freeze. As soon as it starts to vibrate, click the “x” and then on “Delete.”

If for any reason you want to delete this applications all you need to do is open cydia go to Manage->Packages-> select Stack and hit Remove.

Update: As Ruben commented, the developers are saying that they had to remove the app from the store since their server were getting overloaded and to reduce traffic they have to temporary remove the app in other words the App is Sold Out

We have seen this screenshots around the net this morning talking about apple providing a profile that will record the battery life usage. But as we take a closer look at the pictures we can see this are from a fake profile that anyone can make.

The reason we said they are fake is that we can create a profile and name it anything we want, use any company name for example Apple Inc. and install it in our Devices. But the real reason that this story might be fake is that the profile is not Singed. All profiles that come from apple are signed only that ones we made using the iPhone Configuration Utility from Apple are unsigned.
