Costolo said.“It’s part of the native data of the tweet,” he said, adding that the decision to launch a photo-sharing service stemmed from a “need to remove the friction of adding photos to Twitter.” Twitter said that its official mobile applications will also provide a photo-sharing feature and the service will be available in the next several weeks.

As for search, Twitter said it will begin showing related photos and videos in search results.Twitter’s launch of a photo-sharing option poses a potentially serious threat to various third-party services people currently use to post pictures on Twitter.

It is the latest move by the company to provide in-house services and features for using Twitter. Last week, Twitter announced it had bought TweetDeck, a popular application for using the service. TweetDeck, which was founded in 2008, is a favorite of heavy users of Twitter, allowing them to view tweets in various different ways and to organize their messages into columns features not offered on Twitter’s own website.

Whether it’s a text message from an unknown number promoting bulk SMS messaging software, or an invitation to download caller tunes from your network operator, advertisers and corporations are striving to make money off your mobile phone usage habits. Over the years, advertising has come a long way; from print, to radio, television, and now, to the internet and mobile phones. Between the invention of the first mobile phone and the mass popularity of iPhones and other smartphone devices, the demographics have changed drastically. Worldwide, mobile phones outnumber television sets by a ratio of three to one, PC-based internet users by four to one, and the desktop and laptop population by nearly five to one. On the other hand, the amount that was spent on mobile advertising was only one per cent of the global advertising spending in 2009. Now even a fifth grader can figure out the rapid evolution of mobile media. Whether it’s a basic mobile phone, a feature phone, or a smartphone, every new handset creates an opportunity for an advertiser to pitch or market a brand. For instance, at the Mobile Asia Congress 2009, D2 Communications, a mobile advertising giant in Japan, announced that mobile advertising in Japan alone is worth 900 million US dollars.

Pulse Pen is the solution to this problem. I myself think it’s a perfect solution for a student for making his/her lecture notes. A computer in a pen that helps you never miss a word™. Pulse™ records everything you hear, say and write, and links your audio recordings to your notes. Find the most important information from your meetings or lectures just by tapping on what you wrote. 2GB of memory can hold over 200 hours of audio. Actual recording time varies by audio quality setting.

Record and Play Back
The Pulse smartpen records everything you hear and write. Replay the recorded audio by tapping directly on your notes.

Save and Search
Using Livescribe Desktop, you can save notes to your computer and even search for words within your notes.

Send and Share
Share your notes and recordings online publically or privately through the Livescribe Community or Facebook. You can also export your notes and audio locally as PDF or audio files.

Electronics Giant Sony has come up with flexible Organic Light Emitting Display (OLED)
The 80-micrometer-thick full color OLED display can be rolled-up around a cylinder with a radius of 4mm. The screen consists of an ultra-thin flexible material covered in organic semiconductors, potentially pointing to a future of flexible mobile devices, television, electronic newspapers and magazines. “Even after 1,000 cycles of repeatedly rolling-up and stretching the display, there was no clear degradation in the display’s ability to reproduce moving images”. Japan’s department of New Energy and Industrial Technologies (Nedo) is also leading a research programme in a bid to create a manufacturing chain for the displays similar to the way newspapers are printed.
