It all began with a mother who lost her child in a drunk driving crash. She turned grief into positive change; her work and the work of so many other mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers started a movement that has saved 300,000 lives…and counting. We too, are mothers: Andy, mother of four and Tammy, mother of three. So, when we were approached by Desiree, who lost her mother to a drunk driver, to support the Orange County Walk like MADD - we get it.

Why Does MADD Do a Walk?

Because far too much work needs to be done to eliminate drunk driving, prevent underage drinking and serve victims.

Did you know?

Last year, 10,839 people died in drunk-driving crashes - one every 50 minutes.
Every minute, one person is injured from an alcohol-related crash.
One in three people will be involved in an alcohol-related crash in their lifetime.
MADD serves a victim or survivor of drunk driving every 10 minutes.
Teen alcohol use kills about 6000 people each year, more than all illegal drugs combined.
Car crashes are the leading cause of death for teens, and one out of three of those is alcohol related.

Every step taken will help raise funds and awareness for MADD's programs and services that will serve to keep our children and communities safe.

Crystal Bracelets

Feather Hair Extensions Get the Hottest Hair Accessory at Repeat Possessions

Easy to install and remove. Turn your hairstyle look into an eye-catching statement from natural to playful and wild.

Our feathers extensions are made of the highest quality all-natural real bird feathers to produce the finest extensions on the market today. Each feather is one a kind.

What is a bundle?
• A feather extension bundle consists of 7 bound hand selected feathers ranging in lengths from 10-18 inches and includes 2 silicone micro-links.
• We use a unique patented adhesive tip that ensures easy insertion into the micro link and guarantees feathers will remain intact for a longer period of time.
• Feathers last for up to several months.
• You can remove and replace the same bundle by easily unclasping the silicone micro link.

Caring for your feather extension:
• Hair feather can be shampooed, brushed, blow-dried, straightened and even curled (on low heat).
• They will last anywhere from one to four months, depending on how you care for them. Please note they will naturally grow out with the hair. Loose feathers will slip out of the link but our brands special patented tip keeps the extension in place and allows for easy insertion and maintenance. We are all about high quality!
• You can install them individually. In this case, simply cut the tip, but understand the impact of the look won’t be as dramatic and the feathers should be treated more delicately.
• If feathers are too long for the hair they can easily be trimmed to suit all hair lengths.

Easy to Install in 3 easy steps:
 1. First you will need to take one of the micro links and place it onto a bobby pin. Then using the bobby pin, select a small section of hair (best if under a layer of hair or behind the ear to hide the link) and hook the bobby pin onto the hair.
 2. Next slide the micro link over the end of the bobby pin, and around the hair at the root. Once you have your micro link around a piece of hair simply slide the tip of the feather head into the link.
 3. Using the hair extension clamp apply gentle pressure onto the micro link to hold the extension in place. The important part is to make sure the adhesive tip is under the link when you clamp it down. This ensures that the extension will remain in place, and single feathers won’t fall out. Once the link is clamped down firmly, trim the tip of the feather hair extension with a scissors if necessary.
 To remove the hair feather simply pinch the link in the opposite direction and it will open back up. Our feather extensions are created in such a way that they can be can be reused multiple times.

• Natural - consists of a blend of all natural earth tone colors.
• Pink - consist of approximately two pink feathers and five natural colored feathers.
• Lavender - consist of approximately two lavender colored feathers with five natural feathers.
• Yellow - consist of approximately two yellow colored feathers and five natural feathers.

• Lime Green - consists of two lime green colored feathers and five natural feathers.

Hope For SMA Together We Can Make A Difference

The Night of Hope for SMA Gala held on January 18, 2011 was a HUGE SUCCESS! We were honored to be included in this amazing night to support finding a cure for SMA. Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is the leading genetic killer of infants and young children. Image your infant being given this diagnosis without hope. Unfortunately, this was the situation for many families for many years. But now there is HOPE! Although there is currently no treatment and no cure, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) selected SMA as the disease closest to treatment of more than 600 neurological disorders. Researchers estimate that we are as close as only a few years away from finding a treatment and/or cure. The Night of Hope proceeds will go to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Research Institute, Kaspar Lab for SMA Cure! Angel Moms partnering with Sophia’s Cure Foundation to END SMA!

All successful fundraisers are only made possible with dedication and generosity. The Prendiz Family's dedication to this cause is beyond compare, they have united to honor their dear SMA angel Hannah Rose with The Night of Hope Gala. Learn a little bit more about this precious angel here. The Night of Hope Gala was held on what would have been little Hannah's 2nd birthday at the J Lounge in Los Angeles. The outdoor lounge was the perfect setting: rustic brick walls, cozy cabanas and lovely trees with lights strung above gave us the intimacy of a dear friends backyard gathering. The SMA community has blessed us with friendships we will hold dear and near to our hearts, they are a community built on faith and determination that reminds us just how precious life is. In fact, the generous donations offered to support this cause fail to compare to what these families give of themselves each and every day, yet their appreciation abounds!
Some of the generous contributions to the fund raising efforts were The Montage Hotel, Salon Pompeii, and Clinque Cosmetics... too many goodies to mention them all... HOPE is contagious and together we can make a difference- miracles do happen!

Once touched by these SMA babies, you are determined to contribute in whatever way you can. The Hope for SMA website was graciously donated by Meghan of modSpot Creative Designs - check out other samples of her design work here!. modSpot also worked with Sophias Cure Foundation to relaunch their website to meet their growing demands. Meghan, a young mother herself, was able to conceptualize a personal site for each family with compassion. Each of these sites will be a foundation that provides support and encouragement for all SMA families.

The Damwells

Entertainment during dinner was provided by The Damwells, their CD Sweet Water Child - Lullabies for Getty will provide proceeds to benefit SMA. The Damwells were touched by another SMA baby, Getty Storm whose diagnosis at 4 months has fueled contagious hope in the blogging community. One of our customers and my great childhood girlfriend, gets some local recognition that she so deserves. If you haven't seen her blog, "Self-Righteous Housewife," then you should. She tells it like it is, and how refreshing is that?!
