A news on iPad 3 confirms it presence and today we received some leaked insides of iPad 3 display screen from Macrumors confirming the iPad 3 retina display. After a long speculations and rumors it is said as iPad 3 will bring a 2048×1536 resolution display starting from 1024×768.

MacRumours had their hand’s on iPad 3 leaked display panel’s and states as no more evidence on physical screen size for iPad 3 as it is same as 9.7” in diagonal found on iPad 1 and iPad 2.

But a close microscopic view against iPad 2, after examining both screens they were able to confirm that iPad 3 screen resolution is twice much as compared to iPad 2.

Since we only had a raw iPad 3 display with no method to power it, taking high quality photos of the pixels was difficult. Still, even with the relatively poor lighting, you can easily make out the pixels on each display (made up of red, green and blue elements). We highlighted a cluster of 4 pixels (2×2) from the iPad 2 to compare it to the same area on the iPad 3. On the iPad 3, the same cluster was occupied by 16 pixels (4×4) — exactly twice the resolution in each direction.

Extrapolating out, the iPad 3 screen should carry a full resolution of 2048×1536, exactly twice the linear resolution of the iPad 1 and iPad 2 which is 1024×768. Such a screen should be able to display much sharper images as compared to the previous generation iPads.

iPad 3 Release Expectations

According to Apple, iPad 3 is expected to release by 7th of March 2012 featuring Retina display, A6 chip (upgraded processor) and many more. Stay tuned with iTechGiz to find more on iPad 3.

Windows 8 Consumer Preview was promised by Microsoft to be available for public by February and we are just few days/weeks from the actual release date. Before the release date we have received some leaked screenshots and reports which suggests that Microsoft has renamed Windows 8 Beta to as Consumer Preview build 8220.

Windows 8 Beta is expected to have new features, improvements , tweaks and all new theme packs for the new build. Luckily one of the theme pack was leaked on the web and is now available for download.

“We showed the Samsung Chairman the technology with a Samsung Galaxy S that we had coated with HZO and he couldn’t believe his eyes,” a representative of the company told us. “Samsung is really excited by the tech.”

The company has told us that they are also talking to Apple as well, hoping to be able to let Apple make the iPhone 5 waterproof.

“We expect HZO to be in next season’s phones,” HZO told Pocket-lint rather confidently.
