Thankful for New Adventures

Are you always thankful?Even for the not-so-great times in your life?
No, truthfully none of us are but I am working on that one.
I am thankful for a new friend I've met that is following her heart and has opened a new boutique, her lifelong ambition. She has a heart for God and her store is a reflection of her heart.
She has named her store The Open Window and uses the phrase, "When God closes a door He opens a window." Her store is based on the Bible verse Malachi 3:10
Let's help build her fanbase on Facebook by stopping by and "liking" her page.

It's a small thing you can do to help out and since it's Small Business weekend, it would be the nice thing to do.

Well hello out there everyone!Lately, my blog has been abandoned of anything other than my weekly link party. Quite frankly the party is rather robotic and mundane.But you lovely followers come back week after week and I appreciate it.Really, I do.
I recently mentioned to someone that I just find myself so busy and that my hobbies are suffering. She added, "hobbies are suffering because of the necessities" and yes, that is exactly right!
But there is a project that I must tackle, and so it begins.If you follow me on Pinterest or have seen my other home reinvention projects you might realize that I am obsessed with turquoise and gray for the home. Especially for bathrooms and kitchens.

The Armor of God

Ephesians 6:10-18

¹⁰Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. ¹¹Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. ¹²For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. ¹³Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. ¹⁴Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, ¹⁵and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. ¹⁶In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. ¹⁷Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

¹⁸And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

The Day After...

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Did you get your Christmas decorations out?We did!!
Is it all up yet? Of course not!
There is Christmas decor throw up all over our home. Most everything is a mess and a work in progress. So I thought I'd share some of it with you.
I wanted to make my spring front door continue on through Christmas and winter.So out with the traditional reds that I have used for many years...

and one trip to the Land of Wally for new ribbon and ornaments,a little wire and some canned snow...

and just like that...I have a new wreath!

A wreath that works for Christmas and winter on my aqua door.
I'm in love all over again.
The rest is still in progress but...

it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
