Oculus Quest has more than 50 titles. If you’re planning on picking one up, you’ve ordered one, or already own one, here are some of the best games for your Oculus Quest.

1. Best Saber

VR rhythm game Beat Saber is one of the best game on about all platforms. The game created by Czech-based indie studio Beat Games in which you'll slashes blocks according to the musical beats using a pair of energy blades looks like lightsabers.

2. Superhot VR

Oculus Quest and Rift S Available For Pre-order and Arrive Next Month.

Facebook's annual developer conference F8, company announced massive things for VR users.

Last year in Oculus Connect 5 company announced about Oculus Quest. Now the first day of F8 conference company revealed the launch date of Oculus Quest.

Oculus Quest and Rift S both will arrive May 21. But both VR headsets are available for pre-order across 22 countries.

Oculus Quest is a standalone VR headset but the Rift S requires a VR-capable PC to power it.

Both headsets will come bundled with the updated Touch controllers. The cost of both VR headset will same. The 64GB variant will cost $399 and the 128GB variant will cost $499.

You can pre-order of both devices through Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, Walmart, and GameStop in the United States, and Currys PC World, MediaMarkt and FNAC in the UK and EU.

Oculus has stated that Oculus Quest will have more than 50 titles and will come pre-loaded with five VR game demos. These five VR game demos are Beat Saber, Creed, Journey of the Gods, Space Pirate Trainer, and Sports Scramble.

Action Combat Game Boxing Apocalypse Coming to PlayStation VR

Boxing Apocalypse is an action combat game created by Mario Simone of Gotham City Films. It's also a multiplayer VR title and sports game which also helps you to reduce your calories while playing the game.

Gotham City Films has announced the release date of it's VR title Boxing Apocalypse for PlayStation VR users.

Earlier this year game, it was released for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive with costs $19.99 and retain its price for PlayStation VR.

The release date will be split, the North American version arriving first on 20th November 2018 and a worldwide release scheduled for December 11, 2018.

According to its press release, this is the “first VR game to have built a seamless PVP mode where you can battle players online in this intuitive fighting style.”

It keeps track of your win/loss records which will add to your ranking inside the prison fight clubs!

As you level up you can unlock more weapons, and speciality armor only achieved from beating challenges in both campaign and PVP modes.

The Developers Of Virtual Virtual Reality Has Released AR Game "Tendar"

Tender Claws, the LA-based company created award-winning virtual reality (VR) title "Virtual Virtual Reality." Now the company has released AR game "Tendar."

Tendar was previewed in early 2018 at Sundance, GDC, and E3.
Tendar has arrived on Android compatible devices. It is using Google's ARCore technology.

YouTube VR App Is Now Available On Oculus Go.

YouTube VR is finally available on Facebook's standalone VR headset Oculus Go, providing the largest library of video content on the web to users.

YouTube VR is already available for PlayStation VR, Google Daydream, Gear VR and HTC Vive. Now Google's YouTube VR available for Oculus Go users.

In July, the app was launched for Samsung Gear VR. Both Oculus Go and Gear VR uses the same store but that time there was no word for availability on Oculus Go.

At Oculus Connect 5, Sean Liu Oculus' Product Manager announced that Google's YouTube VR was coming to Go.

Sony Signed Design Patent License Agreement With Lenovo For VR Headsets

Sony Interactive entertainment and Lenovo have signed a two-year design patent license agreement that will allow Lenovo to use the patented industrial design of the PlayStation VR for the Lenovo Mirage Solo, terms of the agreement have not been revealed.

“We are pleased to announce that we have licensed the PS VR headset design to Lenovo,” said Riley Russell, Chief Legal Officer at SIE. “The industrial design for PlayStation VR has been widely acclaimed, and that was the result of years of hard work by PlayStation engineers. This agreement with Lenovo is a testament to the quality of PS VR’s design, as well as SIE’s commitment to creating great virtual reality experiences and helping the VR industry expand.”

Enhance Games will release demo version of Tetris Effect via PlayStation Store. So you have a chance to play before you'll buy it.

Speaking to Game Informer on its podcast, Enhance Games vice president of production and business development Mark MacDonald said that the free demo of the game will be available on November 1st and you can play until November 5th.

Spatial was founded in 2016 and has raised $8 million (USD) in seed funding from investors including iNovia Capital, Expa (founded by Garrett Camp), Lerer Hippeau, Leaders Fund and Samsung NEXT.
Its a team of 3D Design and AR/VR experts based out of New York and San Francisco.

Now, The Company is ready to reveal their platform after spending two years, that allows users to transform space around you into a shared augmented workplace.

It uses virtual avatars of remote users so they can collaborate, search, and share pictures, notes and ideas as if they were in the same room.

The platform can run on a range of AR headsets, including the Magic Leap and Microsoft's HoloLens. Donning your headset and chat with co-workers or colleagues and also manipulate the virtual objects in 3D space.

The platform also includes a voice-driven 3D web browser, so you can search or explore your ideas with your colleagues or team members, without having to remove your headset.

Those who have high-end AR headsets they can collaborate in real time but those who don't have or lacking necessary hardware they can join a live session from a standard desktop or mobile device for a more conventional conferencing experience.

Oculus is going to shut down its VR movie Rentals, Purchases for Rift

Nowadays people using VR for almost everything like gaming, watching movies etc but Oculus is going to shut down its VR movie rentals, purchases for Rift users.

From the beginning to today’s date Oculus Rift is mostly used for gaming and less for movies. Oculus sent an email to their users asking them that Rift primarily used for gaming. Hardly anyone from Rift owners seat 2 hours to watch a movie on the screen.

The movies are closing on 22nd October and 20th November is the last date till you can watch your playlist. After that, you can't be able to watch your bought or rented movies.

Oculus announced it just a few hours after the departure announcement of the Cofounder of Oculus Brenden Iribe.

For Oculus Go the VR movie store remain open. Any of Go owner can purchase movies.

Samsung Has Announced Improved HMD Odyssey+ Mixed Reality Headset

Samsung electronics has announced the new and improved Odyssey+ mixed reality headset with new and advanced display technology and more comfortable design.

The new Odyssey+ is suitable for gaming and provide Steam VR support, in addition to Windows Mixed Reality support.

The new headset has many minor improvements, Samsung claiming that they solved the screen-door effect problem, refers to as Anti-Screen Door Effect (Anti-SDE) Display technology, which is so common with today’s VR headsets.

The Anti-Screen Door Effect display technology to help reduce dizziness and nausea in users. It diminishes fixed pattern noise, delivering an estimated PPI (pixels per inch) of 1,233 PPI2.

It comes with the dual 3.5” AMOLED displays and a combined resolution of 1,440 x 1,600 per eye.

In terms of audio, the built-in AKG premium headphones providing high quality 360-degree and realistic 3D sound and 6 Degrees Of Freedom tracking. The headset also includes built-in volume controls, allowing you to easily adjust the volume.

The 6DOF controller can detect your every move and distance traveled inside your mixed reality world and responding quickly to the slightest motion, which improves your gameplay movements.

HTC Announced 6DoF Controllers Tracking Dev Kit For Standalone Vive Focus

At the World Conference on VR Industry in Nanchang, China HTC announced 6DoF controllers dev kit for its standalone headset Vive Focus and a tracking attachment that goes on top of the Vive Focus.

The developer kit is able to give Vive Wave-compatible standalone headsets the capabilities to track two 6DoF controllers.

The problem of Vive Focus is that it comes with the 3DoF motion controller. The add-on of two 6DoF controllers to substitute the Vive Focus' single 3DoF controller, that relies on software to simulate a 6DoF feel, but also sometimes it requires re-centring.

In a tweet, a video clip provided by HTC's China President, Alvin Wang Graylin, the 6DoF controllers appear to respond well even with his wide range of movements while playing Beat Saber.

Disruptive Games’ Megalith is an exciting player-versus-player (PVP) VR hero shooter that will launch on January 8, 2019, with a free trial version available exclusively at PlayStation Store starting November 13, alongside its discounted digital pre-order.

Players will be able to jump in and experience thrilling battles as massive characters unleashing powerful abilities go head-to-head to walk away with the victory.

A hulking tank-style minotaur called ‘Taur’ and a golden creature named ‘Cypher’. A hero named ‘Aurora’, who could throw lighting and hover high in the air to get a better vantage point above enemies. More heroes are available to play.

Each hero has one primary ability, three secondary abilities, and one ultimate.

Thanks to a free locomotion system letting you move using controller-relative smooth forward movement with snap-turn.

Pre-order at PlayStation Store to immediately unlock all Titans available during the trial, exclusive epic skins and an Avatar pack for each of the starting five Titans, and one additional DLC Titan included at launch.

Facebook rolls out a new 3D photos in News Feed and VR

Facebook is rolling out 3D photos in News Feed and Virtual Reality (VR) to enable users to view and create 3D photos with life-like dimensions including depth and movement.

People would have choices to adjust and experiment with creating multiple layers, contrasting colours and textures in order to create photos in 3D.

In a blog post, Facebook 360 team wrote, "Everyone will be able to see 3D photos in News Feed and VR today, while the ability to create and share 3D photos begins to roll out today."

You’ll get the best results if your main subject is three or four feet away, and to really make it pop, try to capture scenes with multiple layers of depth, including something in the foreground and something in the background.

Facebook says that the 3D Photos use the depth maps that are stored with “Portrait” photos taken on iPhone 7+, 8+, X or XS.

"Just take a photo in `Portrait` mode using your compatible dual-lens smartphone (although it’s not present in the new, lower-end iPhone XR), then share as a 3D photo on Facebook where you can scroll, pan and tilt to see the photo in realistic 3D,"
A number of other flagship phones feature dual cameras, including the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and LG V35 ThinQ, but Facebook says it will be “adding support for more devices in the future.”

It’s also adding yet another little feature that blurs the line between normal Facebook posts and “immersive” experiences like virtual or augmented reality. And it’s doing so in a way that’s relatively non-controversial, at least compared to the giant home videophone it unveiled earlier this week.

The social networking giant would also allow users to view 3D photos in VR using the "Oculus Go" browser or Firefox on Oculus Rift by dragging, tapping or tilting their heads to experience the three dimensions in photos.

The feature would be available to everyone in the coming weeks.

"We're listening to feedback on this new format and we continue rolling it out to everyone," the post added.

The feature was announced earlier in May by Facebook, during its "F8" event.

Facebook has specified that only iPhones with dual cameras are supported, for now, not all dual-camera phones.

Salsa-Virtual has been created and designed by experienced dancers and teachers.

Set to release into Steam Early access in November. Salsa-Virtual will be in early access for about 4-6 months to allow for proper feedback and implementing appropriate changes. The full version will include more interactions with virtual students for practising moves, haptic feedback on the controllers, and refined animations and education materials.

Face Your Fears 2 For Quest

Face Your Fears 2 is one of the titles coming for the Oculus Quest. It's the sequel of 2016 Oculus Rift VR title Face Your Fears is under development at Turtle Rock Studios, maker of games like Evolve and Left 4 Dead. But No word yet on if it will also coming to Gear and Go.

Side-by-Side Comparison of Rift and Quest with Dead and Buried

Oculus Developer Relations Engineer, Gabor Szauer use multiplayer first-person shooter (FPS) Dead and Buried as an example, showcasing side by side comparisons of the two.

There’s not a huge amount of difference between the two. Oculus Rift version having better lighting due to real-time lighting and volumetric lights. While the Oculus Quest version uses ‘baked’ lighting which is much less intensive to produce.

Szauer noting that the Oculus Rift version uses 6,917 polygons while the Oculus Quest gun uses a mere 33 polygons.

Next-gen Oculus Go features

Oculus CTO John Carmack reveals what's next for Oculus Go. The Oculus CTO said that he was “the most optimistic” member of Oculus about Go’s chances before launch, and it still managed to beat even his expectations. He said that user retention was “as good as Rift”, which he also said was very strong.

He also said that current Go headsets will soon get support for microSD cards over USB, a night mode and a low-power mode.
Also adds that the next-generation Go would likely get a larger battery, an improved chipset, more storage and maybe even six degree-of-freedom controllers if they can get it cheap enough.

Oculus Connect, the company’s annual developer conference has started and announced many announcements. It's a two-day event from 26 to 27 September.

Gear VR and Oculus Go users will also be able to keep up with the following events through the Oculus Venues app.

Oculus Quest

The company introduced Oculus Quest, it's first six degrees of freedom (6DOF) All-in-One VR system, originally codenamed Santa Cruz. Whereas this year’s Go only support three degrees of freedom (3DOF) movement. The Company also confirmed that the kit would launch in spring 2019 for $399 for the 64GB version.

According to UploadVR, Oculus Quest Uses Snapdragon 835 Processor, which isn’t the latest processor from Qualcomm. But it is a step up from the 821 found in Oculus’ other, lower-cost standalone, Oculus Go. It’s also used in other standalone devices like Google and Lenovo’s Mirage Solo.

VR wellness company VRHealth announced a partnership with Oculus that they’re using Go and Rift hardware to manage pain for mothers in labor, cancer patients in chemotherapy, and patients before and after surgery.

Virtual reality transports patients to an environment where they can view and experience treatment in a more positive light.

"Vox Machinae" is now on the Rift

Mech Simulator ‘Vox Machinae’ Available now on the Oculus Rift, SteamVR, and PC. The game received a surprise launch into Early Access at Oculus Connect 5.

It's a multiplayer mech combat game. In the game, you jump into the cockpit of a mech and head into alien battlefields to duke it out in either online or single-player matches.

Lone Echo II Officially Announced

Oculus announced Lone Echo 2, a sequel to the highly praised Lone Echo which was developed by Ready at Dawn and published by Oculus Studios in 2017, comes with an immersive trailer available on the Rift, Go, and Gear VR.

Ready at Dawn is continuing to work on the online portion of the Lone Echo franchise.
Echo Arena, was first announced at Oculus Connect 4 last year. This year company announced Echo combat, which will be exclusively available on the Oculus Rift.

YouTubeVR app coming soon for Oculus Go

According to RoadtoVR, the company announced that the YouTube VR app is finally coming to Oculus Go. There’s no specific launch date, however, the company says it will be “soon”. The app was previously only supported on a few Gear VR-compatible phones.

"Astro Bot Rescue Mission" Has More Giant Bad Bosses

Sony Japan Studio released a new video detailing some of the absolutely huge bosses that you and little Astro will take on.
The developers behind Astro Bot Rescue Mission discuss creating some of the bosses you will fight. The game is landing on PS VR on October 2.

In the video Nicolas Doucet, Creative Director, Tuyen Ngo, Gameplay Programmer, Sebastian Brueckner, Art Director, and Jamie Smith, Lead Animator, discuss the process behind creating bosses and the unique perspective afforded by virtual reality.

In a blog post Nicolas Doucet says that "These bosses are huge and create an amazing sense of scale in VR. Defeating them will not be a small affair though and your platforming and gadget skills will be put at use," and "Every one of them features a unique finale with a special mention for the final boss. And you’ll have to play to find out!"

Also adds that "As a VR player, you also exist in this world in first person and larger enemies will not hesitate to attack you, occasionally causing damage to your visor or blocking the view, exposing Astro to new dangers. NextVR Finally Available for Oculus Rift Users

VR Video & Broadcast Platform "NextVR" has launched their app for Oculus Rift users after being available for other platforms.

The company’s app has been available on mobile VR platforms like Gear VR and Daydream.

In May, Company launched their app for Vive users via Viveport.
Now the company have announced that PC VR users will be able to enjoy the events delivered to Oculus Rift.

NextVR CEO and Co-Founder David Cole Said that "The VR community has been waiting for NextVR to become available on Rift for quite some time and we’ve finally answered the call,” and also adds that “Today, NextVR launched on Oculus Rift, and we’re incredibly happy to provide our immersive experiences to the core fan base that has been there since the beginning of VR. Now that NextVR is available on Rift, our free app can be downloaded for fans to experience on all platforms spanning PC, mobile, stand alone and gaming console. Our next step is to release on Steam to further meet the requirements of the PC community.”

‘I Expect You to Die’ Creators Working on New VR Game

Recently, Schell Games revealed that escape room VR spy game 'I Expect You to Die' has revenue more than $3 million across PSVR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality headsets since its 2016 release.

I Expect You to Die creator Jesse Schell told Variety about their next VR game: a sword-fighting, lightweight dungeon crawler.

He said that "What we are seeing is that the growth of VR is slow and steady," and also adds “It’s giving us a lot of confidence about the future. Maybe it didn’t take off like a rocket like some expected, but my perception is that’s because of technology and price point and we’re seeing technology and price point improve.”

Also, said that he's found that VR games also seems to have a long tail.

He believes the sweet spot for VR platefop will be when a headset can deliver a wireless, all-in-one system for $399.

Microsoft Research has shown off a new VR/AR technology called Remixed Reality

Microsoft Research has shown off a new VR/AR technology which is a novel form of mixed reality or would bring some of the advantages of AR to the VR world.

Instead of showing users the video of a head-mounted camera, with Remixed Reality they see a live 3D reconstruction, captured through multiple external depth cameras.

This approach enables changing the environment as easily as geometry can be changed in virtual reality while allowing users to view and interact with the actual physical world as they would in augmented reality.

Users characterize a range of manipulations that are possible with Remixed Reality: spatial changes such as erasing objects; appearance changes such as changing textures; temporal changes such as pausing time; and viewpoint changes that allow users to see the world from different points without changing their physical location.

The researchers describe some applications such as relive meetings, room remodelling, Occluded reaching, etc. Remixed Reality can also be used for remote interactions.

Sony’s Everybody’s Golf series is finally coming to PSVR

Sony announced the game as part of its Japanese LineUp Tour live stream earlier today. You can expect the same vibrant environments, also the first time you’ll play the game from a first-person perspective. Your caddy will feed you information like the course and wind conditions while virtual info boards will fill you in on the type of club you’re using.

According to PlayStation Blog Post, Everybody’s Golf VR is coming to PlayStation VR in 2019. The controls for Everybody’s Golf VR are slightly different from earlier Everybody’s Golf entries, but something that hasn’t changed is the series’ commitment to delivering an experience that everyone can easily enjoy, taking thrilling golf shots and nailing that perfect swing.

You'll be able to play with either the DualShock 4 or PS Move, but both will use motion sensors to allow you to swing like a real golf club.

For the first time ever in the series, you will be able to see the uneven terrain, read wind direction, and experience the nature of the golf course all with their own eyes – a 360 degree VR experience made possible by the PlayStation VR.
