I’ve been daydreaming about these sweatshirts and about Parra’s work in general for the past few weeks now. Honestly, it started with this SFMOMA bag and has since escalated from there. His work is fun to look at and I love how active and muscular his characters are.

Hey Texans and fans of Texas! It Came From the Bayou is going down in Houston TX, April 26th-28th and it’s shaping up to be a killer event. Come check out some prints by awesome printmakers and don’t forget to drop a “Hi!” at the Gamblin table.

I’ll also be driving through San Antonio, Austin, Dallas and Ft.Worth. Do y’all have any print shop recommendations I might be able to check out? Texas is my beloved home state, but I don’t know much about TX printmaking outside of academia. I’m looking forward to tacos, long drives, and floating the river. Texas, I love you.
