Swim Deep unveil new video for "King City"

'King City' re-appears on 29th July, having originally been the band's début single when released on 7" last year through, Chess Club Records - the track that sealed their fate and saw them sign to the label that has been home to a clutch of singles over the past year.

Produced by Dreamtrak and mixed by Charlie Hugall, 'King City' will be available on 7" vinyl and digitally via all reputable outlets. Swim Deep's debut album 'Where The Heaven Are We' is released on 5th August, both through Chess Club / RCA Victor.

Track of the week... Moats - Show

We've raved about Moats before, and now the four-piece are back with a spanking new recording of their album track, "Show". The band have been going from strength to strength since releasing their début album back in 2012, and the youthful band are not holding back any new material as proven with this song being the fourth song to appear online since the release of their stunning début album.

Unlike the waterfall sound that opens up the album version, this song starts off with a delicate guitar and then comes in Matt's vocals. With more distortion coming in the song at the chorus and with it being a newer recording the song is just a whole lot bigger and bolder than it's predecessor. The Maccabees sound is back come the end of the when the song slows down, with it's screeching guitar, howling vocals and persistent drumming, this track is free over at their soundcloud, go get it! You'd be mad not to!

The National announce London show for 26th June

The National have announced plans to play a one-off, relatively low-key show at London Roundhouse, 26th June. With the sale of tickets being restricted to 2 per person this is going to be sought after gig for any fan!

With it being VERY close to the weekend of Glastonbury rumours are now flying that they'll be the surprise act to play the Somerset festival.

Track of the week... Editors - The Sting

Now I don't normally give big bands a chance to be a 'Track of the week' slot. But this week I've decided to do so. Editors release their first new music in four years with the single, "A Ton Of Love" on 17th June. Taken from their fourth studio album, "The Weight Of Your Love". So what of it? Well this song is the B-Side on the "A Ton Of Love" single.

Editors are one of those bands that just love to release every bit of music they've recorded, not ones to shy away from letting their fans hear how songs have came along from demos to album tracks. "The Sting" has came a long way since the early version that sounded a lot like a track off their third album "In This Light And On This Evening".

This song is back to form for the Birmingham based band, and as far as I can see it, that's a good thing. Editors without guitars were good, but nothing beats the noise of that six stringed beast! I for one can't wait to see them play live again!
