Kali Linux vs Windows 10

Today I am going to compare the most used operating system (OS) , i.e., Windows 10 with the one that is mostly liked by the hackers ,pentesters and that OS is called Kali Linux.

In this post I am going to answer the question like which OS should I use: Linux or Windows? Which OS is better in regards to compatibility, security, technical support, interface and layout, performance,etc.

So lets begin the comparison:

Installation:

Windows 10:

Windows comes with an attractive Graphical User Interface (GUI) that look pretty impressive and drag user attention more easily and effectively. The installation process is bit lengthy and time consuming and it require only very few inputs from user. The installation of Windows took approximately 15-20 minutes. A person with very few knowledge of installing OS can easily install it because of its easy to install interface.

Kali Linux:

On the other hand Linux requires a person with adequate amount of knowledge for installation. A person who doesn't know about what he is doing can put himself in a very deep trouble. The feature of Kali Linux that I love is the ability to directly boot from a USB/ CD without requiring any installation and help the user in deciding whether he should install it or not. The average installation time for installing Kali Linux is about 8-12 minutes.

Software Compatibility:

Windows 10:

Windows 10 is compatible with almost all softwares as all software developers made software for Windows only because Windows user are more in number as compared to Linux users and thus developer prefer Windows compatible softwares not for Linux.

Kali Linux:

Kali Linux doesn't have many softwares but still very useful for hackers as it provide those features from which users are devoid off in Windows. It also supports some softwares that are designed for Windows.

Support:

Windows 10:

Microsoft provides a good support to its user by collecting solutions of all basic and common problems on its website and user can easily find solution of their problem at a single place and there is no need for any Google search to get solutions of your problems.

Kali Linux:

Kali Linux also provide a support pages for its user and but it contains solution to only some problems and user must need to search around different websites if he didn't found solution to his problems on the Kali's support page.

Security:

Windows 10:

Windows is the secured OS but it lags somewhere in its security protocols. Windows comes with an handy auto-run feature which automatically runs the program/ executable (.exe) files as soon as the external disk (PD ,CD) is inserted to the PC and put the user's security at stake because the program that runs automatically from a source might contain malicious files like Trojans ,Worms ,Key-logger ,etc. and thus put users security at risk.

Kali Linux:

On the other hand Kali Linux doesn't have this sort of feature and do not automatically run any program without user's permission. It cannot be hacked easily and no one can intrude your Linux based PC, (at least no common man can do this). there is no easy way to bypass user login and password screen.

Privacy:

Windows 10:

When it comes to privacy, Windows is not so much secured as compared to Linux. Windows comes with a new feature. Virtual Personal Assistant,named Cortana ,which keep an eye on all your activities that you are doing over your computer and over an Internet. Windows is also not so much secured because of the Autoplay feature that cause the program from external media to run immediately as soon as the media is plugged in and this sometime help intruders or hackers to inject an virus and any unwanted program to the PC that put users privacy at stake.

Kali Linux:

On the other hand Kali doesn't have any sort of assistant and that's why Kali Linux don't keep a record of your activities and don't share it over the network i.e., your privacy is secured when you are using Kali Linux.

iPhone 7 : Rumours, Specs and all other that we know....

Apple is famous for providing new features with every phone they launch. And there are several rumors regarding next iPhone i.e. iPhone 7. The Apple might launch its next iPhone in the month of September this year. That's the good news for iPhone lovers...

Gathering information from sources, we can say that this time Apple hadn't made any major tweaks but the minor tweaks will be there in new iPhone 7. So lets go through those tweaks one by one.

Three Variants

Apple going to release three variants of the iPhone at a same time. Apple launches its iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C together for the first time in 2013. After that Apple launches its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus together after that iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus and now apple going to launch its three variants at the same time. Those three variants are iPhone 7 , iPhone 7 Plus and the last one is iPhone 7 Pro.

256 GB Storage Variant

Apple going to increase its top variant storage to bump up to 256 GB that will help i OS user to get the max from their device. But whether Apple also put its 256 GB variants of its small display device, to its iPhone 7. There are rumors that Apple will launch its iPhone 7 in 32 GB, 64 GB ,128 GB variant and its iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro will be launched in 32 GB, 64 GB , 128 GB and 256 GB variants.

32 GB Base Storage

After increasing its max storage to 256 GB , Apple also decided to remove its 16 GB variant and make 32 GB variants as the base variant. The company introduced its 16 GB in 2008 and thereafter it remained as a base variant for Apple products. The company makes a good decision by making a 32 GB variant as a base variant.

Antenna Bands

Apple also removed or we can say that shift its Antenna Bands to the bottom and top of the device leaving plain back cover. It will give iPhone 7 a sleek and mono colored back cover.

3.5mm Jack

There are rumors from several time that Apple will remove the 3.5mm headphone jack from its next iPhone series to make iPhone to look better, sleek and slim. Removing the 3.5mm Jack will make the phone up-to 1mm thin . That will make it much slimmer from its predecessors .Might be the other reason for removing the Jack is to provide a better sound quality, better Bass . The company will provide earbuds that can connect to lightening port and company might also provide the lightening port to 3.5mm Jack connector. If Jack is removed from the phone then it will be the only major difference for the iPhone users.

New Color Variants

Apple might launch its iPhone 7 in two new colors that might give better look and feel to the iPhone.

the company also might replace the Space Grey color variant with the Space Black color and also launch a iPhone 7 in Deep Blue color variant.

3GB RAM

Apple might increase its RAM to 3GB in iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro to support its dual camera and to ensure that the performance will not be decreased due to dual camera feature.

Price

The price will be varied according to the variants, the lowest variant might priced roughly up-to Rs . 73,000 and the top variant will go up-to a price of roughly Rs 93,000.

The company had not made any major tweak in this phone and only make minor tweaks and this might slightly disappoint the iPhone lovers. Apple might add major feature to the iPhone of next generation might be in iPhone 7S or iPhone 8.

So lets wait for the phone to get released and see whether this time Apple hit the market or not.

Future Smartphone : Part 1

In today's date , the smartphone market has a severe competition. Smartphone users also want a phone with some new concepts not like the one that are present in the market , the only change in the phone is that they have better camera or performance or display and many others....... But companies are not making phone with some new concepts that might attract users.

And there are some new concepts on which company might make phones in the coming years.......

I am going to show you some new concept smartphones that will shook the smartphone market in the coming years.......

1. Philips Fluid

The concept behind this phone is that it has a bendable OLED display . The phone can be fold and can be wear in hand as a wristband. The concept is new and might take time to make a perfect piece.

2. Kambala

The concept of this is that its center part can be inclined up ad can be used as a earpiece. This is the basic concept of this phone and might have some other features also.

3. IPhone Next G

The concept of this phone is that it doesn't have any display and its not a phone its a wristwatch that has projector and that projector display the phone screen on palm and from there you can control your device.

4. Apple Black Hole

It is a holographic phone that might come in 2020. It has a sphere type part that show the phone icons in the air and can be controlled in air.

These are the some concepts on which future smartphone can come , I hope so. I will add some more concepts in my next post.

Virtual Reality....What actually Virtual Reality means? Virtual means something that is not real or that does not exist physically in environment and reality means the thing that actually exist in the physical environment and can be touched or sensed by human organs.

Virtual Reality as a whole word means a fake 3D environment that is created with the help of the software and is present to viewers in such a way that the fake environment that was created earlier seems to be real to the viewer and that's the actual meaning of virtual reality.

The Virtual Reality preset artificial environment to viewer in such a way that the viewer suspends belief and accept it as a real environment. The Virtual Reality primarily experienced through the two of the senses i.e., sound and sight.

On the last day of Google I/O 2016, google introduce people with its new project "Project Soli" . This project is demonstrated in a smartwatch as a prototype. And thing that can sit in a watch can be used in any electronic gadget.

This project is introduced to control devices those have small display and can not be operated by physical contact/touch. Project Soli uses a radar technology to identify the gesture made by a human and send signal to device to work accordingly. This is the small chip of size 8mm *10mm contain the entire set of sensors and antenna array. Its sensors are very effective that can even tracks a sub-millimeter motion with high accuracy.

As soon this chip enters your device , from the very next moment you can see the magic , now, you can control your device just by making gestures in air and there is no more need to rub your thumb on device touch to control it.

But the bad news is that it will take a time to launch the gadgets in market with this tech.

These were the some basic specs of the phone. Now lets move to the detailed ones:

Look and Feel

Yunicorn is the best built smartphone of the Yu to date. Its body is made of metal which is furnished well and give it a royal touch. It is not very slim at 8.5 mm and is also a bit heavy at 172 grams.

Yunicorn got a FHD 5.5 inches display with bright and vivid colours. It has high pixel density which ultimately lead to good video quality . It also has a wide viewing angle. Screen is protected by a Nippon Electric Glass which is as durable as Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Display works well in bright sunlight.

Performance

The performance of the Yunicorn is damn too good with 4GB of RAM and a quad-core processor. A phone with 4GB of RAM in the price tag of 12,499 rupees. It's awesome to have a phone with such a huge RAM. The phone is able to run heavy games without any lag. Game-lovers can buy this phone to enjoy lag-less gaming.

Camera

Yunicorn have a 13 MP camera as a rear one and 5MP selfie camera. The rear camera clicks good pics but only in better light , in dark , the camera performance is not too good , it clicks a slightly blurry images in dark and same with the selfie camera. The camera might disappoint the users those are selfie lovers and keen to photography.

Battery

Yunicorn got a non-removable 4,000 mAh battery that lasts one and a half day in normal usage and that's a pretty good battery backup.

Conclusion

The phone is overall a good piece of Yu Televentures' . Good and sturdy look. Performance is the best part of the phone and it might become the major reason for people to buy this phone. But camera might disappoint the users else everything is fine with the phone in this price tag.
