Here it is the day after the Super Bowl and being in Massachusetts,
I am waiting for the first reports of someone jumping off the Tobin Bridge. I
admit, I don’t understand how people can take sports as seriously as they do
around here. 


For the next six months, all the sports talk stations will
be full of people bemoaning the Patriot’s losing, analyzing each down and
second and third guessing

He either waits for the latest polls or the results of a primary then he decides to change or make up his mind. The latest, now he is going to release his tax returns Tuesday.





Wasn't it just last week when Mitt said he wouldn't release his returns until April? And now

Whether you believe the Bible is fact or fiction, whether
you believe it was written by God or not, it is hard to argue against the fact
that what is written in the Bible is worth thinking about. So much of it, even
though written a long time ago can be transferred to today and what is going
on, not only in the world, but also in the United States.

Romney, wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, They asked he
why this time around, while Mitt has spent less time and money in Iowa than in
2008, he seems to be doing better? She didn't really have a good answer but I
will suggest one of my own.



In 2008 Romney visited all 99 counties in Iowa, which means
he had 99

Once again, in last nights debate he said that it is working as intended. The problem is it isn't. Premiums have gone up, coverage isn't as good and deductibles are more, basically you pay more to get less.

Today is Pearl Harbor day, the 70th anniversary
of when Japan attacked the American naval base on Oahu, a “Day which will live
in infamy”. I wonder how many people even know what happened on this day, but
more important I wonder what we would do if it were to happen today?




My father was a WW2 navy veteran, he enlisted right out of

Think about it, where can you make the most difference in politics? At the local level. Who has the most control over your day to day life? Your local elected official.

In a couple of online polls I saw, surely not scientific, but polls nonetheless, the majority of people feel the teacher should not be fired.

The Massachusetts state legislature has passed a bill clearing the way for the licensing of three resort casinos and one slot parlor. The bill has been forwarded to Governor Deval Patrick and he is expected to sign it and Massachusetts could see casinos as early as 2014.




Is the state legalizing gambling a case of double standards, upside down morality? We think at least in two cases it is.

Is it just me or does it seem everything is a conspiracy lately?
The latest is one purportedly against the Occupy movement. It seems that 18
Mayors got together on a conference call, all 18 have Occupiers in their
cities, and lo and behold, both the Oakland and the Wall Street camps were
removed.


 I am sure it had nothing to do with the stink or the other problems
being caused by the

This is a result of today's disinfecting of the New York groups happy home. Evidently the Boston group is afraid their comrade, Mayor Menino might ask them to leave.

It’s Thursday, November 03, 2011 at 11:00 AM and I have now
been without power for five and half days. I know, you thought I either gave up
on the writing gig or joined the Occupy movement. No, just don’t have power or
internet. In fact I don’t know if I will be able to post this today or not. And
you know what? I’m pissed.

First there was some argument over whether there should be three or five members, now it is whether or not the board should be elected or appointed by the Town Manager. Here's my two cents...

It’s Monday morning which is always a good time for those of
us who aren’t coaches to sit around over our morning coffee and pontificate on
the week before, in this case politics. So here goes…




First the more I hear from Herman Cain, the more I like him.
He keeps getting hammered for saying things and then going back on himself and
changing what he has said. However this is just not true.

I had the chance to watch the first hour or so of the CNN
Republican debate last night and I have to say, I came away with some different
views from when I went in there with. I still haven’t changed my mind about who
I won’t support yet, but I may change my mind on who I will support.
