Can I just start writing blogs again?

Do people even read blog nowadays? I feel like I can express myself better by writing here.

But oh god. It has been ages ago since I last write something here. I'd miss this blog but I just can't seem to bring myself to write anything. I guess life goes on, you found some other better medium to share stuff, so you just forget about the old one.

I realised that here you can write longer and people actually gave a shit about it. Since they are the one that choose to be here and read your rants. I feel like no one actually care/read if you wrote some long ass caption on your Instagram pictures nor those micro ranting on twitter. Idk. Maybe some would. I know I won't.

Anyway, life update. Gosh it's 2018 guys. AND it's ending soon! Like it's already end of September! and I'm here still figuring out shit.

My last post was November 2013. Thats a 5 years update that I need to do. So um nevermind.

Physical: I don't think this is necessary but during 2013 I still weigh 98 kg yall. Pls. I'm surprised that no one slap all of the food out of my hands. I managed to lost it and weigh normally in 2016. Losing weigh was not the hardest part of the journey. The real struggle is trying to maintain the weight. Tbh, I have never been comfortable talking about this. Maybe I'll do a separate post if I feel like I'm ready to talk about it? Hm we'll see.

Travel: The last place I visited was Taipei, Taiwan. I've been to Japan and Thailand mostly these past few years.

I got to see the sakura flowers when I was in Japan and that was the best part of my birthday trip that year! I went to Bangkok for this year's trip. It was fun too. Soooo many places to shop and makeup stuffs are everywhere. My eyes were going crazy most of the time. However, I could never been able to go to all of these trips if it's not for Iskandar who always bring me together on his adventures and take all of these amazing pictures. If you are reading this, thank you!

Study: Graduated, baby 😏! In 2016.

Work: Currently working in Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM). Also on Saturdays, I teach kids martial arts Choi Kwang Do in Sri Hartamas.

Life: I'm a full time vegan 😌 I've been a vegan since 2016 and it was a very interesting journey and I've made a lot of new friends along this journey. I also was given a chance to start baking again (vegan cakes yum!) when I was working in Sala. Sala is a tex-mex vegan restaurant that serves amazing burrito and tacos!

Hmmm what else. I think that's all for now? I can't think of anything else to write/update for now. The only reason I decided to finish editing this post (kept it in drafts for almost two weeks now) is just because I need to start ranting about some other shit so I feel like I somehow need a proper intro before all that.

Don't you just get tired of that?

I know right? I said that every single time I update my freaking blog. This bring us to a conclusion where every time I promised I would update my blog frequently, I lied.

It's not like I don't want to blog, I just don't have time. And when I do have the time, I don't have anything to write.

Vice versa.

And now, since I'm on my holiday now, why not.

Someone said to me last few days ago, "Blog? Does anyone really blog anymore?"

True. Is there?

I don't know. But my friends don't. Not that I know of.

Hmm

Anyways, I have my own photography page now. Knowing myself, I would never ever do that. I mean it's embarrassing to have my own photography page considering that my photos are not as good as others photography. Mine is just amateur.

There's a story behind that page. The story that only both of us know. Hahaha. Sounds creepy don't it?

Meh.

Just some silly story actually. But what the hell. What is done, is done.

It's like a week old. So yeah. If you want to see some crappy photography, do check it out. Hahaha.

Heart (Part 1)

Last week two weeks, before puasa someone decided to come and see me here in KL. I was so excited lah kan. Last jumpa dia was like 6 months ago.

Wanted to pick him up but I never went to the Subang airport and asked Haziq and Has to drive me instead. Using my car lah but Haziq yang drive sebab memang taktau langsung T_T

On the way to the airport, haishhh memang sesat. Omg the roads are so confusing. Dengan takde signboard semua cukup. Nasib baik tak puasa lagi time tu. If not memang dah batal sebab marah banyak sangat.

We arrived the airport like 2 hours late. Haha! Kesian dia tunggu lama. Tapi kesian lagi la dekat kitorang yang sesat ni. Bila sampai turun la pegi cari dia. Tinggal Haziq & Has dalam kereta. Bila dah jumpa dia, keluar keluar tengok dorang dah takde. Pakcik guard tu tak bagi park situ so dorang pusing. Dah la nak pusing pun jauh gila. I hate Subang's airport.

Him : Jom laaaa masuk balik. Panas dekat luar ni T___T *lap lap peluh*
Me : Tanaaaaaaaaaaak. Hihi.

Then we all went to Seoul Garden! Wehuu~ Onie dah tunggu siap siap dekat sana. Hehe. Kempunan makan Seoul Garden since forever. Dekat Sabah takde tau T_T Seksa.

RECIPE : Rainbow Marble Cake

Assalamualaikum.
Yesterday I made Rainbow Marble Cake and it was very pretty! It tasted good too :)

And so many have been asking for the recipe so I thought I would put it up here. Easier for everyone haha :)
This recipe is my mum's basic butter cake recipe that I put colorings. Obviously.

Cake
What you need :

- 250g of all purpose flour (if you want to use the self-raising flour, leave out the baking powder)
- 250g of salted butter (if you want to use unsalted, make sure you add a bit of salt in it)
- 140g or less castor sugar
- 2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 cup of full cream milk
- Red, orange, yellow, blue, green, purple food colorings.

Steps
Heat your oven first before doing anything else. For this recipe it would be at 180 celc.
1. Sift the flour and baking powder in a bowl. Set it aside.
2. Using the mixer, cream the butter and sugar until white and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs. One at a time, beating well after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
4. Add the vanilla extract and beat until combined.
5. Now with a low speed, alternately add flour + baking powder mixture and milk. Alternately tu macam kita selangkan dia. Masuk tepung, mix, masuk susu, mix, masuk tepung balik and so on.
Selang dalam 3 kali okay la tu. After dah masuk tepung jangan pukul lama lama, nanti cake keras pulak.
6. Done! Now divide your mix in 6 bowls and color them!

7. Now just layer each color in a cake pan!

Hentak sikit cake pan tu supaya dia rata lepas dah masuk semua.

8. Now bake the cake for 35 - 40 mins. Insert skewer to check if it's done or not :)

9. Let it cool for an hour before you frost them. Done!

This is how I decorate mine. I glazed it with chocolate ganache.

You can also use the recipe to make the layer rainbow cake like this,

You just bake each color in different cake pan. And then layer them :)

Assalamualaikum.

It's been a while since I've updated my blog. So here I am, updating it and I did make some changes to the layout and whatnot. So, Hiiiiii. Hihi. How are you guys doing? Hopefully everything is well for you guys.

Okay first of all,

Salam Ramadhan to all! The holy month is here so make the best out of it :)

Hihi so renung renungkan lah.

I'm on my holidays now and god, I'm so bored at home T_T I've done nothing at all.... except for baking. I bake a lot nowadays because that's the only thing that will take hours of my time.

Some of the cake and cupcakes that I baked. And for now, I'm taking order for Honey Cornflakes/Cakes/Cupcakes. If you're interested do comment here and I'll get back at you a.s.a.p :)

21 Years Old.

Omg. Dah 21 tahun dah wei. Sedih? Tak sedih. Tak rasa apa sebenarnya. Hahaha!

Aku bukan jenis yang kisah pasal umur sangat pun. Hmm

Anyway,

My 21st Birthday was great! I really had a good one!

Last week, mama ayah dah pos hadiah. Hadiah yang memang nak sangat sangat. Mama ayah belikan telekung hitam! Ahh seronok!

Masuk maghrib, Aiman wish dulu hihihi :) Seronok! And after tepat 12am. Mulalah ramai yang mention, text, wall post wish birthday. Biasa la tu kan.

Lepas tu, mulalah sedih sebab tahun ni first time tak dapat cake for my birthday :( sedih sedih cerita dekat Aiman. Kesian dia. Haha! Serba salah dia. Last year dia belikan cake paling comel dalam dunia :)

Penang Trip Day #1

Hi! Selamat pagi semua orang! Semangat gila kan bangun awal nak update blog punya pasal. Haha! Takde maknanya. Aku bangun nak buat benda lain k.

Cuti sebulan pun nak habis dah. Wuwuwuwu. Sedihnya. Dah terbiasa jadi pemalas selama sebulan. Cemana nak study lepas ni. *sigh.

Anyway, cuti kali ni kami whole family pegi bercuti ke Penang! Wohooooooo~ Aku sorang excited lebih sebab dapat jumpa Aiman. Muehehehe.
Not my first time, tapi first time dengan family. Hihi.

Oh and seperti biasa, post aku akan banyak gambar je. Sebab umm aku suka tangkap gambar la. Okay.

Aiman la yang tunjuk jalan pegi hotel apa sume. Hari pertama kitorang tak buat apa sangat pun. Lepas dah sampai, letak luggage apa sume, aku ngan Aiman pegi jalan berdua nak tangkap gambar.

Makanan dia? Hmmm boleh la. Takde lah sedap sangat sampai nak meninggal. Tapi cendol dia sedap! Haa tu je lah sedap. Hahaha!

Ho ho holidays!

Hello manusia sekalian. Saya memohon maaf atas kelewatan saya untuk mengupdate blog saya yang comel ini. Ceh buat macam ramai je baca kan. Miahaha. Kite punya laptop dah sihat okaaaay! Tu lah yang dah boleh update. Hihi!

Anyway, I'm on holidays now. For a month. And lagi few days nak balik Sabah dah.......... SOBS. Tak suka okay. Sana tak best. Hmm. Tak guna mengadu kat sini. Korang bukan boleh buat apa pun! Haha!

Haritu ennn, time aku balik haritu. Time 18 January 2013 haritu, ada benda jadi tau. Aku sampai sampai Kuala Lumpur dengan rakan rakan yang lain, we took the Skybus to KL Sentral. First time naik Skybus tu and first time jugak ayah takmau jemput dekat airport! *Hmmph! Sampai hati!*

Lepas doploh tahun dalam bus yang memabukkan itu, aku turun cecepat sebab aku nak muntah semua cukup, aku nampak adik aku datang aku terus paksa dia angkat bag aku. Muahaha. Lepas tu aku nampak mama aku pulak. So after salam and apa sume tu, we all headed to our car.

Time aku nak angkat luggage aku, TETIBA! ada lelaki ni, datang serbu nak angkat bag aku!! Aku pusing nak tengok siapa, terus menjerit kuat gila kat situ!! Ahmad Aiman came and surprise me! OMG serious seronok and terkejut gila! Because I was calling him and texting him in the bus, and so macam yakin gila dia dekat rumah dia (Penang). Rupanya dia dok plan dengan my mum and my sister semua. Lepas tu memang tak sudah la kan senyum tu. Hihihi. Best surprise ever!

Hihihihihi. Seperti biasa dia menjadi model mangsa ye. Anyway, I was so happy that he came. And we had so much fun time together! Rindu tau. Lama gila since I last saw him.

And oh now, I dah ada Instagram hokeyyy. HAHAHA. Lambat gila baru nak ada kan. Diam lah! Biar lah nak buat zaman bila pun!

Dah tukar phone baru lah dapat nak main Instagram ni. Dulu time korang sume ada tu, aku masih pakai E72 je k. So bagi la peluang untuk aku batak Instagram. Nak buat nama "Aisya J" tapi ada orang lain dah amik. Terpaksa lah amik nama Facebook, "Aisya J Way"

And yes, I know in the last post I said I wouldn't buy iPhone 5, but I changed my mind. Hihi. I already got my iPhone 5 :) And it's actually a good phone. The camera is nice, the front camera is superbly nice. And the battery last longer I think. So it's a good buy hihi :)

Hmmm what else.....
I think that's it for now? I'll something else to tell but I'm damn lazy to type anymore. Haha! I'll continue this soon.

Hello people! Okay so finals nak dekat, tapi aku masih disini dalam keadaan yang tak sedar diri dan tak reti nak insaf. Biasalah tu. Takyah nak buat buat terkejut ke apa.

Sekarang ni ramai sangat sebok sebok pasal Durian Crepe. Gambar semua menyeksa aku tahu. Taktahu apa itu Durian Crepe? OMO. Pasaipa ketinggalan sangat ni? Nah amik gambar!

Haritu ada tau jual dekat cafe. Tapi kecik kecik sangat. Pastu mahal. Memey tak lah kan. Dah la barang kat sini mahal. Harapan la aku nak beli kejadah tu dengan harga sebegitu. T_T

iPhone 5 is here oih! Tak seronok keeee? Haha aku tak seronok. Sebab aku still nak iPhone 4s. Sebab aku tak suka panjang dan nipis nya itu. Hmm. So aku macam chill je tengok iPhone 5. Muehehe. Tapi kalau ada sesiapa ada nak beli, Celcom ada plan baik punya oih. Pegi cari plan tu senirik. I tak promote Celcom hokeyy.

Sesiapa rasa nak jual iPhone 4s dia yang baru beli kat aku ke, boleh la comment dibawah ni ye. Mekasih.

Btw, lagi 34 hari je tinggal! Yeyy nak balik KL dah~ Tak sabar!

Hellooooooooooooo~ Fuhhhh fuhh fuhhh berhabuk kot blog ni! Bila last update pun tak ingat dah!

Hi semua! Ingat aku lagi taaak? Hahaha okbai.
So many things have happened since I last update this blog. Seriously. Waaaay many things!

Terlepas update pasal puasa, raya, pendaftaran Uni dan lain lain lagi.
Hmm nak update dari mana dulu? Dari puasa dulu ye?

Ramadhan.

Time bulan ramadhan kali ni, aku mengalami penghijrahan yang paling besar dalam hidup aku. Cewah ayat tak leh blah. Tapi serious kot. Aku dari free hair, cuba mula pakai tudung. Alhamdullilah. Tergerak jugak lah hati aku untuk berubah.

Bila ingat ingat balik aku punya penampilan sebelum ini, rasa nak menangis. Pakaian macam penghuni neraka. Takut aku lihat diri aku sebelum ini.\
Mula mula tu was - was jugak nak pakai hijab ni. Beribu alasan aku bagi. Tapi Alhamdullilah dengan ramai sokongan dari kawan kawan, family dan kesayangan saya, berubah la jugak. Hihi :D

Aidilfitri.

Raya kali ini first time raya dengan kesayangan. Hihi. Bukan raya sekali, tapi bersama la jugak kan. Kami sedondon tahun ni. Huehue. Tahun ni jugak banyak shoot gambar family. Tapi berzaman jugak la nak siap edit apa sume kan. Ada lagi yang tak edit ni. Hahaha. Kemalasan dah.

Hello tuan tuan dan puan puan. *suara Chef Wan* Harini saya nak tunjuk bagaimana nak buat Rainbow Cupcakes! Pasti tuan tuan dan puan puan sudah tidak sabar untuk membuatnya. Ayuh!

Hee comel en? Jom buat!

Okay. Bahan bahan yang kena ada,

Untuk cake.
- 113g Butter (unsalted), suhu bilik.
- 130g Gula putih
- 3 biji telur.
- 1 sudu kecil vanilla essence.
- Sedikit parutan kulit lemon.
- 195g tepung (diayak)
- 1 1/2 sudu kecil baking powder
- 1/4 sudu kecil garam*
- 60 ml susu
- Coloring

*Kalau takda Unsalted Butter, boleh guna Salted Butter. Cuma jangan letak garam lagi lepas tu :)

Untuk frosting

- 230g icing sugar
- 113g unsalted butter (mesti unsalted)
- 1 sudu kecil vanilla essence.
- 2 sudu besar susu.
- Coloring (Kalau nak)

Okay.
1. MESTI pre-heat oven to 180 celcius dulu okay.
2. Pukul butter dengan gula sampai kembang. Bila dah kembang, masukkan telur satu per satu. Lepas masuk satu tu, biar dia sebati dulu baru masuk telur yang seterusnya. Lepastu masukkan vanilla essence.
3. Dalam mangkuk yang berbeza, masukkan tepung, parutan limau, baking powder dengan garam. Kacau.
4. Perlahan kan mixer kepada low speed. Masukkan mix tepung tadi dengan susu. Berselang. Tepung, susu, dan tepung balik. Siap.
5. Okay sekarang, bahagikan batter tadi kepada 6 bahagian. Dan warnakan ikut warna rainbow!

Guna banyak pewarna, sebab selalunya warna akan lebih pudar lepas masak.

Boleh jugak paksa adik anda tolong,

Okay lepas tu boleh la letak dalam, cupcakes paper korang.

Haa comot kann. Tapi cantik nanti bila dah siap haha!
Yang purple atas dia tu sume Muaz yang buat -_-"

And then boleh la masukkan korang punya cupcake dalam oven! Bakar selama 17-20 minit. Selepas itu, sejukkan dulu sebelum letak frosting ke apa :)

Okay NEXT! How to make the frosting!

1. Pukul butter tu sampai jadi smooth and cream-ish
2. Masukkan vanilla essence.
3. Perlahankan mixer kepada low speed, dan masukkan gula tu sikit demi sedikit.
4. Masukkan susu. Pastu, lajukan speed mixer dan pukul mix tu sampai jadi fluffy. Lebh kurang dalam 3-4 minit.
5. Kalau nak, warnakan la frosting anda! :)

Hari last biasa la, mana kerja elok elok dah. Semua nak berfoya foya dah.

and realized you got no work is damn heaven. Way heaven.

Good morning earthling! Sorry for not updating for so long. I've been busy with work. And my laptop keyboard still not working. (Buat macam ada orang kesah pulak kan aku tak hupdate -_-")

Anyway, hari sabtu lepas, kitorang pegi makan dekat Chilli's! Not our first time, but only now I wanna go update about it. Tempat ni aku rasa mahal tapi berbaloi. Sebab aku cakap cemtu adalah sebab portion dia besar gila weh! O_O

Tak caya? Tak caya sudah.

Okay tak besar ke tu? BESAR OKAY. BANYAK GILA.

Okay benda ni FAVORITE! Sebab boleh refill muehehe.

My first attempt. First batch masuk oven tu hancur, buruk -_-" Kali kedua baru dapat yang elok ;) Not so bad kan hihi :p Chocolate filling inside it. It took a lot of hardwork and PATIENCE to do this. But it's worth it~ Because it's soooo cuteeeeeeeee :D

And oh I saw the Dark Shadows,

And I give it 5 STARS! Because it's amazing and spooky and hilarious at the same time!

Thank god this vampire doesn't sparkle. LOL :p

Anyway, got to go now. Will update you guys later~ :D

Okay. Lama gila dah tak update blog. I mean update properly la. Ingat nak update haritu lepas habis matriks tapi keyboard laptop pulak rosak so musnah harapan murni I disitu ye rakan rakan taulan.

And yes! MATRIKS dah HABIS oihh. Gila nice kot. Muehehe. Tapi ada certain part of me yang don't want to leave matriks. Piuu. Sedih la derr. Kau hengat aku takde perasaan ke -__-"

Anyway, habis haritu hari Khamis, 26/4/2012. Banyak gila barang aku. Muehehe.

HAHA! yes, lelaki itu pun barang aku jugak. Hihi :p

Compare to last year punya barang pun takde banyak beza pun huehue :p

And aku tak terus balik KL haritu, jalan jalan dengan family around Penang dulu then Jumaat malam baru sampai KL.
Elok sampai KL, hari Isnin tu aku pegi Penang balik. Hihi. Bukan sebab rindu ke apa. Tapi nak surprise kan budak ni punya birthday!

Penat aku tipu dia kata dekat Kuantan lah apa lahh. Supaya dia tak suspect anything la. And on the 1st May tu pagi pagi aku ngan kawan aku, Onie, bertolak pegi pulau dengan kereta sewa apa sume untuk mesuprise kan dia. hihi.
Menjadi tauuu! Terkejut muka dia nampak kitorang! Hihi :D Yelah memang kitorang pandai berlakon apa sumee. Dia siap tunjuk jalan pun dia tak sedar yang kitorang nak datang. HAHA. Pandai kannn :p

HAHA muka tak sangka. :p
HMM macam pernah tengok gambar cemnii....

Oh YES. Sama sangat. HAHAHAHAHA.

And thennnnn, kitorang bawak dia pegi Gurney, Penang! Hihi. Makannnn. Lapar T_T

“When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I’ve got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn’t know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly. She didn’t seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn’t talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Jane. I didn’t love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company. She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Jane so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn’t have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Jane. When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn’t want anything from me, but needed a month’s notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month’s time and she didn’t want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day. She requested that every day for the month’s duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Jane about my wife’s divorce conditions. . She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully.

My wife and I hadn’t had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mommy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don’t tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn’t looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me. On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn’t tell Jane about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me… she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it’s time to carry mom out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn’t noticed that our life lacked intimacy. I drove to office…. jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind…I walked upstairs. Jane opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Jane, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Jane, I said, I won’t divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn’t value the details of our lives, not because we didn’t love each other anymore. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart. Jane seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away. At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I’ll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed -dead. My wife had been fighting CANCER for months and I was so busy with Jane to even notice. She knew that she would die soon and she wanted to save me from the whatever negative reaction from our son, in case we push through with the divorce.— At least, in the eyes of our son—- I’m a loving husband….

The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the bank. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves.

So find time to be your spouse’s friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!
