I just knew the first time I applied this lipgloss on my lips,

i am going to love this . The formula

is extremely awesome and also lovely range of shade from pop up

colors to nude colors.

Maybelline claims:

#. Cleaner Shine from our 100% wax-free gloss.
#. Creamier feel from nourishing honey nectar.
#. Now, gloss goes gutsy in 10 arresting shades.

The new high shine lipglosses comes in a nice packaging which looks better than the

previous sleeker sensational gloss in termas looks and texture. The applicator

is doe foot one with a silver cap.

The texture of the gloss is creamy and non sticky. Though it is decently pigmented ,

I need atleast 2 coats to make it opaque for my pigmented lips and

last for 1-2 hours. The best thing about this gloss is it leaves tint

once the gloss starts fades, which is makes me to like this glosses

more compared to others.

Electric Shock is a bright pinky purply shade which makes your

lips pop instantly. It is bright but not neon-ish types hence makes it a perfect

for any outfits esp i loved wearing it for my traditional outfits.

Though the shades looks frighteningly bright on the tube, it could be

worked well with fair as well as dusky tones since it entirely depends

on how you wear it.
So get gutsy and try it.

My Myntra.com Haul ~

One of my favourite Indian shopping site is myntra.com,

i love shopping from there since there is always some offer going or they provide coupon credits

from earlier shopping for a min of 500/- atleast everytime since its definitely a boost for

an online shopping addict like me. But apart clothes,bags and other misc, this is my first time

shopping for makeup products which has left me as one happy shopper.

I prefer cash on delivery for most part of my online shopping while these days not all

websites provide them. With disappearance of webstore like stylecraze and urbantouch which

caters to every small town to big cities i feel myntra.com is a boon to the shoppers.

Placing order and delivery is a smooth process when it comes to myntra.

Here is my haul from myntra.com, my favorite & most used

maybelline baby lips lipbalm and five new nail colors. I am going all pastels this season. Ha.

And my friend has placed her order for the recently launched maybelline colorsensational gloss from

myntra.com since its the only webstore which provides COD for her place of this newly

launched gloss.

Ponds BB cream : Review & Swatches

BB creams are one popular trend in makeup products these days.

Many brands are hastily engaged in making their own BB cream but does meet the original

idea for what the BB creams stands for. The above sentence matches exactly with

the new ponds BB cream. I would term it as tinted moisturiser rather than a BB cream.

I dont know what was Ponds thinking while removing their original tinted moisturiser

(which was quite good than BB) from

shelves months before and replacing it with a brand new name with BB tag.

Atleast the former one had considerably three shades compared to the BB cream

which comes in just one shades.. Really !?!

Why do few big companies act as lazy bum for adding more shades?

Ponds Claims:

Non-pores clogging

Light, non-oily texture

Lightens from within epidermis level

Reduces dark spots

Evens skin tone

SPF 30 PA++ protects from UVA, UVB and visible light

Some good points on this ponds bb creams are like nice packaging, available in
two sizes, economical pricing, creamy texture, spf content. Though its creamy, it takes
effort to blend since its thick, instead of blending in spreading motion you can tap it gently
with fingers to spread. Due to spf 30, it makes a perfect day wear base but in flash photos
it shows up as pale(whitish cast) skin which is a disappointment. It last more than half a day
and gives a matte finish. Also it feels heavy on skin.While i feel garnier BB cream is much
better since skin feels hydrated than this.

As an ardent user of previous ponds tinted moisturiser, i can very well say both are very
very similar. Also it doesnt conceal any skin spots or dark circle which are basics in a BB
cream,which this lack. The one shade concept is a huge disappointment since even after
5mins after application, it doesnt adapt on skin to our skin color maybe it does
on fairer skin tones but wouldnt suit for medium to dusky skintones.

I had high hopes regarding this bb cream and it dint fare my expectations.
As you can in see in the below swatch of after photo it looks like it makes my skin brighter
but looking unnatural in real life.

69 Rs. for 9g

and

125 Rs. for 18g

Recommendation :

No.. in my honest opnion unless it matches your skintone and you are okay with

very light coverage. But skip this if there is going to be taken photos especially

with flash..

Garnier BB Cream India : Review & Swatches

Finally i am back after my exams which i mentioned in my last post here. After lots and lots of testing

here is my review on the Garnier BB cream while the other two BB cream review posted

in my previous haul will also be updated soon which took me more time than expected

to fully analyse them and find which is best.

Garnier claims:

The garnier BB cream comes in a regular plastic tube packaging, i ordered mine from healthkart.com
and I recieved a damaged one with hole like a pin hole. I dint write them back, actually was too
lazy to do it since it was a minor one but that also makes it a non travel friendly one.

This is cream feels very light, hydrating on face and very easy to blend. It has very very sheer
coverage and needs good moisturising before application (which is must for me before applying
any type bb cream). I love the fact where once its applied, it gives a lovely hydrating
and refreshing feel. I love wearing it in this summer since its not heavy and evens out the skin.

It also gives a slight glow and dewy finish to the skin when applied. But recently
when i had pimples, i tried to avoid this since it gives zero coverage. Certain days
i have to go out more than one time and i would need something light that evens
the skin since i would remove with cleanser more than once and
garnier bb cream falls right into place.

Also this comes in just one shade which in my opnion would suit only
medium to fair skin only and if you have problematic skin you will definitely need
concealer for any spots or dark circles.

The garnier claims are true only for the spf and glowing skin part others claims are
just promotional. It stays on me for maximum of 5-6 hrs while the maybelline bb cream
last for more than 8 hrs on me.

The garnier bb cream is for people with less problematic skin or some who needs sheer cream

along with their concealer, it gives a glowing even finish added with high spf for natural look.

But on my personal note i adore this bb cream for its light and hydrating feel it gives to my skin

especially in summers. But i wont be re-purchasing it since i have something more likeable than this

one which i would reveal soon.

new BB creams. I love BB cream since i hate wearing foundation on my face which

always feels too heavy on my skin. I have already tried these bb cream

so will post the reviews soon.

on the lids forming a neat crisp line. As the name suggest the liner dries quite glossy and adds a pop

up effect. Though the liner is not completely waterproof but its water resistant and while

removing the liner peels off which makes it easy to remove.

The drawbacks are that they come in less quantity and flakes on me after

at the end of the day.

The shade khaki is a muted kahki green color and pops up as a lovely green shade in flash photographs.

Colorbar over the top lipstick is one of my favourite shade lipstick which i have already

mentioned in this haul post and post of favourite stuffs. This has been a long pending post which has

been delayed constantly so finally here it is.

General thoughts about colorbar velvet matte lipstick:

♥ An unique formulation where it is creamy yet gives matte finish.

♥ It comes in a chubby silver metal packaging with a clear plastic cap.

♥ The texture is slightly thick but can be applied easily.

♥ The pigmentation is super great since its opaque and 1-2 swipes covers any pigmented lips.

♥ It has a quite ~~bothering~~ mild scent to it which fades eventually.

♥ They are quite moisturizing which is a rare trait for a matte lipstick.

♥ non drying yet it enhance fine lines.

Colorbar over the top lipstick is a pinkish coral shade with brown undertones which is mostly

shown as pink when applied especially in flash photos. As you can see below i have pictured

it under various light for you view since colorbar velvet mate shades doesnt match with tube color

or swatches or on lips since it shows differently at each time. But to make it specific the

shade mostly look that of the color present in middle swatch( sunlight swatch).

I adore matte lipstick. Very few lipsticks meets the criteria of a good one and chambor matte

lipsticks are one among them. I don't own much of chambor products in my collection but after

purchasing this lipstick, I know I am definitely going back for more.

Coming to the review there is nothing to talk about the packaging but to describe as plain old blue packaging which is definitely going to be a minus for these lipstick rating. Other than that of the

packagingall the other factors are amazing.

matte lipstick.

♥ Doesn't enhance fine lines like other matte lipsticks

♥ Long wear formula.

Faces Glam On Eyeshadow Review & Swatches in Amber

Just like a wink of an eye march's end is near and so many posts in drafts with photos yet to be filled with words. Sigh.Also am currently experimenting with new blog theme but not satisfied

with any. Want to give whole new make over but couldn't get right to it. Hope I finish by this month and post the new blog features the I am hoping to do. Today's review is about the faces eyeshadow from the glam on range which I would brief as a must have eyeshadow product.

Faces glam on eyeshadow got a fantastic quality which can be compared to that of high end eyeshadows. It comes in a neat little packaging with a compact mirror which makes it an easy option for travel. The quality of this eyeshadow are amazing with a high pigmentation with a buttery texture which is seen in high end brands. Texture of the glam on duo is butter-y smooth and doesn't have any fall off while applying. When applied it gives silky smooth finish with a beautiful sheen. The best among the qualities is the pigmentation which is awesome that it looks opaque even without a base.It lasted on me more than six hours without fading in spite of a sweaty wedding function.

Faces eyeshadow in Amber is a perfect choice for any occasions like party,wedding and other function, I would highly recommended for a wedding trouseau. Amber contains of two shades one side contains copper shade with golden flecks and the other is rich pink tone. Both contains very fine glitters which looks more of a sheen than glitter. The shade selection make it a best option for Indian festive looks and would look great any type of skin tone. I would recommend to it budget beginners to high end makeup user since it has an amazing product quality and shade selection.

idea of re-applying lipstick every few hours which explains my major love
for matte lipsticks. Now Maybelline claims they have come with the perfect
long stay lipstick with Maybelline Superstay 14 Hour Lipsticks.
Lets find that out in detail.

The maybelline superstay comes with a nice packaging with a clear bottom

which makes it easy to sort the colors . Let me say, I was awestruck with how opaque these lipsticks

are, just in one swipe it completely covers even the pigmented lips. In the first picture I have applied

a single swipe where it gives me a nice opaque finish in spite of having an extremely

pigmented edges on my lips.

The texture varies among different shade in my opinion, lasting chestnut was quite creamy compared

to that of Infinitely Fuchsia and lasting coral. Also when applied, lasting chestnut wasnt drying yet Infinitely

Fuchsia was quite dry on lips. So I would recommend you to try out at the counter before

buying if you are somebody who does not feel comfortable in dry format lipstick.

The texture is light when applied and the finish is slightly sticky(lasting chestnut) when i press my lips together

rather than drying like Infinitely fuschia. Also this lipsticks might hard to satisfy people who dislike

matte formula but for me, i am totally loving it.

Lasting Chestnut is a deep brown with peach tones to it similar to that of the

Lakme Aphrodite Blush lipstick but with deeper tone. I love how it looks nude brown in real

and in photographs they look peachy brown which will look good on all Indian skintones.

The major downfall i find in this lipstick is the fragrance and the price. It has cherry jam-y kind of smell

which is nice yet i personally find it to be overpowering for me.

Coming to price, i understand all the long lasting, nice packaging and etc but come on !!

Maybelline

is one fine makeup brand i adore and doesn't have any second thoughts while purchasing because i find

them to be the best quality brand with a reasonable price range.

They are the favourite brand for beginners, budget buyers and esp college girls.

I always,always recommend maybelline to any beginner's since you dont have to compromise

the quality even when shopping on budget. Hence said that i think 525 rs/- is pricey!

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick Rosy Nude : Review & Swatches

Revlon lipsticks are one of the finest lipsticks available in the market and also my favourite

ones among the reasonably priced range-lipstick. I have been in search of a Revlon lipstick called

"Pink in the Afternoon" nearly a year but no avail. (Google it for swatch, damn pretty shade!!)

While the search continues, here is a review about one of my favourite lipstick

called Rosy Nude from the Colorburst range.

on darker skintones and more brownish pink on fairer skin tones. It is a best pick

for a everyday wear shade looking more wearable

for work or college wear. Except for the longevity I have no qualms about this lipstick.

Hello ladies !!!
How are you doing, I am back after a long break.
Initially i planned to take a complete 3 months break and return to blogging in April but I made my
mind already. Oh !! what can I say, I missed my blog so much.

I have a planned a lot of topics to post so stay tuned which would be a alot different from
the usual reviews since i received mails regarding tutorial,nail art and other stuffs.

Before signing off here is a quick snapshot of my recent purchase.

I was waiting for the body shop limited edition sale to grab
the Vanilla Bliss products but couldnt make it since I met with a small accident
and had to head back home with scraped knees.

By the next time, all the products were all gone except for this last Vanilla bliss body butter.
Oh ! you should have seen my face
pouting at the the empty sale rack like a little child.
Seeing my poor expression the SA started to make calls to other branches but no luck.
Its was sold out everywhere..Hmmm ;(

So I left home without shopping much except for this chambor matte lipstick in
Dusky earth and some random hair clips.

LOVE~cute hair accessories ~ they lift my spirits instantly!!

And the last one is this Hair tool combo from Philips.

Maybelline 24Hr Color Tattoo Bad To The Bronze Review, Swatches & EOTD

If I were to award my favorite brand of the year then it would definitely

go to Maybelline for sure. I totally appreciate the products they have

come out this year like the jewel lipsticks, dream mousse range, falsies mascara,

baby lips lipbalm, Maybelline BB cream and now the 24Hr color tattoo,

which is totally awesome.

Maybelline Claims:

24hr intensity. Tattoo tenacity. Dare to wear our longest-lasting shadow.

Our ink technology creates super-saturated color.

Cream gel smoothes on for vibrant color that does not fade.

In 8 shades.

Maybelline color tattoo comes in glass-y pot container and these look similar to the Mac paint pots,

also said to be the affordable dupe to them. They come in silky smooth texture without being too

creamy-creamy like the other cream shadows which sometimes ends up looking oily on lids.

They blend easily on to the lids and the best part is that it shows up well

even without a base, which is great.

These comes in 8 shades of both matte and metallic finish. The creamy finish is easy to\

blend and once set, they never budge until removed. The staying power is longer as promised

and i have never experienced creasing which i normally get in other creamy eyeshadow

so that makes it to love it moreee.

All you need is few seconds to do your eyemakeup when you have

Bad to the Bronze is an earthy metallic brown shade and I feel the shade is a must

have for every girl in my opinion. It would fit perfect for long office hours looks

and (as in last pic) you could apply for a simple everyday eyemakeup

Random Haul !

I feel like i havent posted in here forever. Ahhh what can I say, its been weeks that i have posted
regularly since lappy is unwell again and all the pics are stored in it. Tsk tsk the girl never learns!
But its feels great to be back and this is an random haul which i did on a 'no-shopping-outing',
like that happens lol.

First things are these Maybelline color tattoo eyeshadow Bad to Bronze and Bold gold,

LOVE ~ these eyeshadow, they are freaking awesome especially

Bad to Bronze is a must have i say !!

Random Asian sheet mask i picked. I was skeptical at first but they work amazing on

me, have already used 2 of these and i am so glad i brought it, will pick

some more soon.

They give makes my skin clear and leaves them glowing!!

I have started to blow dry my hair after a long time and sunsilk keratinology
heat prtoectant spray makes the process easy breezy leaving my hair
shiny and smooth.

Cute bow nailart stickers from the same local store(pondicherry) where i picked the sheet
masks. The store was an hidden paradise of aweome products and
cant wait to try these cutie.

Next is this beautiful Hidesign Pompidou Cosmetic Pouch from hidesign which comes with

a long strap,looks lovely when used as a casual purse too. It retails for 1350 Rs/- but I

got it for 500 Rs/- from the Pondicherry hidesign outlet.

Even hundred clips wont be enough since i tend to keep losing them. Got more but

lost even before taking pics. Here i go again!
And isnt that pink bow clips looks cute =)

Dramatic Smokey Look : Step by Step tutorial using Sleek Oh So Special Palette

Smokey eye looks are never out of trend. Some people like it to keep it simple, some

like it darker or some with splash of colors. I have already posted a everyday minimal

smokey eyes tutorial and here is my version of dramatic smokey eyes with a defined

crease.

Here I am using the Sleek Oh so special eyeshadow palette which has a

perfect combo of colors where one can create sweet girly look to sexy smokey eye look.

Here are the instructional steps for the above pictorial :

1. Conceal your eyes and apply an eyeshadow base to make a clear canvas to bring out
the look perfect and neat.

2. For an intense base, i am using a creamy pencil liner as base. You could use a gel liner instead.

3. Apply roughly as show in the pic but the liner should be below the crease area since thats where we need our shadow to be intense.

4. & 5 . Now smudge the liner to the crease with gentle motion.

6. Take a matte black eyeshadow of your choice, here i am using Noir from the Sleek oh so special palette.

7. & 8. Use a flat shader brush and apply it on the the smudged liner of the lid.

9. Take a matte Dark blackish purple colour of your choice, here i am using wrapped up for defining our crease area.

10 & 11. Take a blending brush and apply the colour on the crease.

12. Move the brush in windshield wiper motion to blend them well to achieve this finished look.

13 & 14. Take a creamy liner and apply it on the lower lash line and slightly blend it with a liner brush if
you want smoked out lower lashes.

15. Take a beige eyeshadow to brighten the inner corners of the eye, a shimmery one preferable.
But since Oh so special palette has matte cream shade(Bow) hence I am going with matte shade.

16. Apply it on the inner corners of your eyes and gently move it to the brow bone from there.
since i used flash mode,the cream colour looks transparent and not visible.

17 & 18. Now your dramatic shade is finished and apply coats of mascara & rock this sexy look with a nude lip !!!
