Izzy had one final field trip this year, to the zoo. We decided to make a family trip out of it and tagged along with the Kindergartners. It was a very nice day to go, cloudy and somewhat breezy, but no rain. So many of the animals were out in the nice weather and I think the kids all had a great time. There's only 14 days left of school, and then it's SUMMER! :)

The carnival was in town last week, and we managed to squeeze a visit in during the rain and chilly winds.

Dizzy Dragons, Helicopters, Cars and more...A ride in every size and full of colors.

Alexander could not have been more excited to drive his own car!

The girls NEVER miss an opportunity for Cotton Candy!

Finally, in addition to the other rides and the home spun sugar, the entire family managed a ride on the Ferris Wheel; For $20. Eesh, it's a good thing The Littles enjoyed it! This was Alexander's first trip on the Ferris Wheel and I am pretty sure he wasn't disappointed. He was literally speechless. haha!

Easter Eve and Easter Morning | Eggciting!

Easter with The Littles is always pretty eggciting. There are eggs to decorate, candy to eat, eggs to hunt and more candy to eat. We spent Easter Eve with family, dressed The Littles in their best, and finally captured a new, improved and perfect image of them.

Daddy and I happened to "hop" in as well for a few quick snaps. I'm still looking over the whole family ones. Maybe I'll decide to like one sooner or later. haha!

Easter Eve night, The Littles set out a bottle of water and some carrots for the bunny, who enjoyed them with every nibble. He also left baskets overflowing with goodies. Two baskets for each, to be precise. Art supplies, cars, toothbrushes, movies, socks, jewelry and lots of candy. And peeps. :)

And then The Littles hunted eggs that the bunny had hidden.

Finally, we ended the day with a good ole fashioned Walmart Pony Ride. ;p

A Picnic With The Littles

Littles and Tigers and Polar Bears, OH MY! | A Visit To The Zoo

Last week, Izabel had a couple of days worth of Spring Break. It has been unseasonably warm here in the midwest, so I decided to take advantage of both, the Spring Break and the warm weather.

A special adventure was in the works.

Off to the Zoo we went!

Alexander was just an itty bitty baby when he went his first time. This time around, he was in awe. He loved seeing the animals and pronouncing their names. I think he liked the Meerkats the best. :)

Izzy and Emmy were super excited to go! They had a list of everything they wanted to see, and the tigers were at the top. We found the tiger, but he was sleeping and in the most remote part of his enclosure. It was difficult to get a good gander at him. They also enjoyed the elephants and I believe their favorite part was the Polar Bear. :)

We saw Hippos and Lemurs, both adorable. :)

And a family of Baboons that were so fun to watch! We came in on their exhibit during a very playful time. The Littles really did enjoy watching them for quite awhile. :)

And finally, the monkeys! Who doesn't love monkeys!

It was a very fun day and The Littles were on their best behavior. :)

March has arrived and boy has it been such sweet weather! How about a nice cool treat?!

Yoplait Trix Yogurt is a treat around here for The Littles. When we buy yogurt, the girls really like to freeze it and make multicolored popsicles! It's a very yummy, Summer treat and fun to make!

MyBlogSpark and Yoplait, gave us the opportunity to try the newly formulated Trix Yogurt. Yoplait Trix yogurt has been reformulated to remove artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, and high fructose corn syrup. All of these improvements make me happier when offering My Littles yogurt!

My favorite flavor is usually anything "Berry", but I cannot refuse a super-licious "Cotton Candy" either! ;-)

An Afternoon Park Visit

It was pretty chilly yesterday, but some clean, crisp, Winter air can actually do a world of good.

First Snow Day of the Winter! | Jan 2012

We've had a very mild Winter this year, and I'm not complaining one bit! :) It's been cold, but it's also been very warm. And there has been no snow! Well, no snow until January 18th, when we had about 2 inches fall.

Two inches and The Littles were OVER THE MOON! I mean it, they were thrilled! They bundled up in their new, never used snowsuits and boots and ventured out.

Izzy and Emmy couldn't wait. After all, they know what snow is and they had been asking for ages when it was going to snow. They made snow angels and dug through the light accumulation to find treasures lost. They begged to go sledding, but there just wasn't enough snow. However, they managed to use their snowsuits and slide down the backyard, which worked out really well. They got some speed too. LOL!

That leaves Alexander. He's seen snow. He's been in the snow. But he was only months old and bundled beyond belief. He most likely doesn't even remember it. So this year, as soon as he stepped foot outside, he SQUEALED! The girls were pretty excited, but nothing compared to the extreme awe and wonder of Alexander. =) He wanted to play forever. He loved every bit of it. I think the proof is in the photo.

Yeah, so it's almost the end of January and I am just now getting to the second stash of Christmas photos. Eh, it's okay! Enjoy!

Christmas Eve was spent with Grama and Papa and Uncle Doc. Presents anyone?

Then came Christmas Eve, before bed. :) All was quiet when Santa arrived.

We had a wonderful Christmas holiday and I hope all of you did as well!
