In case you don’t already have enough small appliances in your kitchen, appliance company Holstein announced last week the release of The Holstein Pet Treat Maker ($24.99), a panini press for dog treats.

The Pet Treat Maker also includes a colorful book with 15 recipes and a glass jar to save left-over treats

According to a company spokesperson, the specialty appliance will be available sometime in May at HSN.com.

Meat, Poultry, and Deli Products Recalled Due To Possible Listeria Monocytogenes Contamination

Manda Packing Company, a Baker, La., establishment, issued a recall of approximately 468,000 pounds of roast beef, ham, turkey breast, tasso pork, ham shanks, hog head cheese, corned beef, and pastrami due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced last week.

The products were shipped for further distribution, for sale at retail, and to retail deli stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.

BlueStar wall oven recall

More than 900 BlueStar residential gas wall ovens have been recalled by Prizer Painter Stove Works because of fire hazard. Some of the wall ovens have been improperly installed and/or have damaged flexible gas appliance connectors, creating the fire risk. The firm has received one report of a fire, resulting in property damage to the cabinet that held the oven. No injuries have been reported.

LG Electronics Recalls Electric Ranges Due to Burn and Fire Hazards

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, LG has voluntarily recalled approximately 161,000 electric ranges due to burn and fire hazards.
