We get the requisite “shocking” issue in Age of Ultron, Otto discovers the little Peter hiding in his head in Superior Spider-Man, and the tumor in Carol’s head is leading into a crossover with Avengers Assemble. Doctor Who: Prisoners of Time brings us the 4th Doctor and captures the whimsy, tone and artistic style of his comics perfectly.

Batgirl sheds a few tears, but Batman hangs out in the second stage of grief and gives us two great comics from it. The Ghost and Buffy end their respective story arcs. Dark Horse should have planned ahead to make Ghost ongoing. The Fantastic Four hang out with Caesar on the Ides of March; Octo-Spidey hangs out with Thor; and Wolverine comes back swinging (note to Geoff Johns, THIS is how you hook a reader). We continue the Tournament of Heroes, who will be crowned champion? Speaking of Heroes, Tom has worked his way into his own segment (if the rest of you would send in letters, it wouldn’t be all about Tom), and even Stan has something nice to say to him.

The Left Show’s J.M. Bell looks at how Eagle Forum president Gayle Ruzicka contradicted established research and killed an adoption bill in the Legislative session. The bill would have changed the standard so that Utah adoptions are considered open by default unless the birth mother specifically requests that they be closed. Ruzicka testified the change would lead to abortions, while other groups likes the American Adoption Congress have stated that if any effect is to be had by making them open by default, it is to actually increase the likelihood of adoption versus abortion.

“This particular bill pops up that would have made it easier for children seeking their biological parents to find them. Up pops Gayle Ruzicka, who lied her ass off to kill this bill … Ruzicka pops up and says that her fear is that if a single birth mother felt she could be contacted by her child later in life, she would be more likely to get an abortion, and all the Republicans were like, ‘Oh! Michelle Bachmann is out of touch, tuna isn’t tuna, Soledad is in trouble with the stenographers pool, and Rachael Maddow is in out hearts and in our minds. Colin Powell’s old chief of staff lays it all out on Iraq, video games are great for kids (kinda), and not too many folks want to be a GOPper.

The VFX community in America is getting screwed and JM totally flubs their pitch, SEQUESTER! SEQUESTER! SEQUESTER! ObamaCare is not what you’re being told it is, and the Utah Legislature takes away the power of someone who was working for, you know, the people.

The GOP War on Women (#GOPwow) takes on a trident attack in New Hampshire, California and Wisconsin, and NOM does something … weird – that feels like a trap. Utah and Teen Pregnancy … better than you might think, no help to Gayle Ruzika. JM’s sweeping mandate to NOT talk about the Pope stuff results only 10 minutes of priest jokes.

Visiting Utah, during the Legislative session, is always a treat with Curtis in the House (see what I did there?). Jim Dabakis and other Democrats pull a fast one on the GOPpers and give them what they want – panic ensues. The Second Amendment has two different bills, yet no one brave or patriotic enough to put in a provision about swords. Valentine comes through as a rational legislature, kinda, and freaks everyone out, those asshole tow truck drivers take a punch in the nose, and 5 million bucks buys tax payers a really expensive shrug. Schools are crowded and Mayor Burr-Winder-Wash is about to let his City Manager screw the pooch!
