i want to add another verb to my mantra - livelaughlove&sing. i've been thinking about play. and it could be thought of in a lot of ways but i'm particularly interested in the verb play, as in play an instrument. yep, i should have had piano lessons when i was a kid. i remember kids going to summer classes and it was usually a choice between piano lessons and swimming. i wonder why my parents wanted me to have voice instead of piano lessons when clearly singing for me was innate. nuuk!

in highschool, the guitar was the "in" instrument to play. naturally, it got me interested and so i started picking up. i remember my ex who is such an excellent guitar player saying he practiced in his sleep. i obviously didn't have that much passion so i left the guitar playing to him and the singing to me. now, i can only blame myself. all i know is the d-a-g-a combination. nuuk!

what to play now?! what to play now? i see the uke loitering around...bwahahaha...

we've heard them. we've seen them. we've read about them. they're all over the place. by this time you probably must have chosen a candidate to vote. if not, what does it take to get your vote?

several months ago, i've made my choice. it was a quick decision. i was easily convinced. the interview didn't just catch my attention but also my parents' and a few others i know.

today, my parents just told me that they're voting for a different candidate. apparently, they don't want their votes to go to waste. i know it's a shame. people get swayed alright, but this i couldn't disagree enough. winnability was all it took for my parents to transfer votes. barely 3 months before votes are casted. there will be more switching and changing depending on what suits you.

for those who've made their choice, what did/does it take to get yours? why are you voting for whomever you are voting? it would be interesting to know. wadyatink?

when i made my list yesterday last year i didn't sound too excited. it seemed like i just had to make the list because everyone else was doing it. but i had fun trying to make them happen...and one did!

to travel outside the country. surely, 4 countries last year (hongkong, singapore, malaysia and australia)! that was more than what i expected or even afford. lol. but circumstances happened to my advantage. i was bound to do it.

the trips had me give me up my second goal for last year which was to reach a savings of 100k. perhaps i will try doing it again this year but i doubt coz we already have several trips scheduled. but i will definitely save still, 100k or not.

my third goal didn't happen either, i resigned from the company where i worked for 5 years. the position wasn't for me and i'm happy it didn't work out.

the fourth, i gave up on during the second month. i realized photoblogging wasn't as easy as i thought.

2009 had been good to me. i'm happy to be blessed and loved by friends and family.

for 2010:

lotion up every after bath. this may sound funny but i had to put this on the list because this is a practice that i've stopped doing since i started working. i noticed my legs are becoming scaly which isn't very pleasing to see.

lose my love handles. i have to stop growing them. they're making me feel ugly. almost nothing fits me anymore.

run mwf. or do cardio and tone up. my age is starting to show on my body with all the sagging skin. i also get tired very often, which is not good.

travel and save. continue to travel with my partner at the same time save for the rainy days. i should be able to juggle these two without dropping either.

reach out and be in the loop. i feel like i've lost touch. im not as fun as i used to be. i guess i got lazy nurturing relationships with friends, sometimes even with family. i have to make my presence felt.

i can make things happen. 2010 this is it!

cebu taxi experience

the airport-capitol route is nothing new to me. it's a route i frequent the past few months and i know for sure that taking the ayala access road from reclamation is the shortest and cheapest route. earlier today, the taxi i was in didn't take that option. what's worst, when we got to sm instead of heading straight for ayala, the driver took a turn to take mango avenue. mango avenue - one of the busiest roads around that time.

a few months back, a taxi driver asked for an additional php 30 on the fare after several minutes on the road. of course i disagreed and was about ready to jump out when he explained that's because he couldn't get any passengers from the airport back to the city. i pitied the old man so i okay-ed.

i'm sensing that the cebu taxi experience is not as easy and safe as it was. are the cebu taxi drivers slowly becoming like their counterparts in manila? or maybe you have good experiences too?
