The new ornament die makes perfect heads so I couldn't resist making a couple of snow kids. I used Whisper White craft ink to stamp snowflakes from the Delightful Decorations stamp set and removed stones from the small rhinestone brads to use in the centres. I used faux snow on the ground and snow balls. The tree and sentiment on the inside of the card is from the Season of Joy stamp set.

The characters are made from the following SU punches: head-ornament punch, hat-ornament punch & wide oval, hair-scallop oval, arm-small oval, body-wide oval, legs-modern punch, feet- heart to heart, mittens-heart to heart & 1/2" circle, snowball- 3/4" circle.

Cardstock sizes: Real Red 8.5" x 5.5", Black, 4"x 5.25", Bashful Blue 3.75"x 5", Bashful Blue (inside) 5.25"x 8.25" and Whisper White 5"x 8" scored 2" on each side of centre line.

The colours are Ruby Red, Close to Cocoa and Very Vanilla. I used a gel pen to journal directly onto my photo. The letters were stamped with a stamp-a-ma-jig and embossed in silver. To make the lace I cut a thin strip and punched it with the eyelet strip then snipped the straight edge so it would bend to the curve.

I used the Jolliest Time of the Year stamp set and Sincere Salutations. The snowflakes are from the Delightful Decorations stamp set and embossed with clear.

He's made from Stampin' Up punches. Head-wide oval,feet & mouth-small oval, tummy-large oval, nose and inner ears-1/4" circle, ears 1/2" circle, neck-word window, body-1 3/4" circle, hands-trio flower, teeth-double rectangle, tree-snowflake punch.

The tree trunk and mouse's legs are cut free hand. To make the book cut a piece of Real Red cardstock 1.5 x 2". Trim the top and bottom slightly to make a V shape.

To make the string of lights I cut the bulbs with the Tree Decorations sizzlit and poked holes around the tree trunk to string in silver cord. It doesn't show up in the photo but I added dazzling diamonds to the tree branches and snowdrifts then covered the light bulbs and the mouse's nose with crystal effects.

I put some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint in an uninked cartridge so I could use it with my wheels. To ink up the cartridge I poured a small amount of paint on the wheel and spread it out with the tip of my bone folder. I kept turning the wheel and repeating the process until the whole cartridge was inked.

I inked another cartridge with frost white to use with my snowflake wheel. That one is very pretty as well.

Since this is paint and not ink as soon as I'm finished stamping I store the cartridge in a plastic ziploc bag to keep it from drying out. If I get tired of my shimmer cartridges I plan to wash them out and reuse them.
