Ok, we haven’t posted anything in about a year, and our FTP client is all screwy too, so I’m gonna have to post a zshare link, but I absolutely had to post this new track by one of our favorites, the Midnight Juggernauts.  The track is called “This New Technology” and it shows how their sound has evolved a bit since Dystopia.  Its release is in anticipation of an Australian tour and an appearance at CMJ here in NYC this October.

This New Technology’ will be available through iTunes on 9^th October along with inspired remixes by artists including Nile Delta (Australia), Emperor Machine (UK) and Weird Tapes (USA).  Following the digital release the single will see a limited edition 7″ release on Acéphale Records (http://acephalerecords.com) (SALEM, Air France, Memory Tapes) and is available for pre-order here (http://acephalerecords.com/ace005).

I had to dust off the old keyboard for this one, but I have two tracks that are too good not to share.  The first is the latest remix by The Twelves.  A beautiful, laidback, airy disco track; exactly what you would expect from your favorite Brazilians.  Honestly I don’t know much about Noah And The Whale but this track makes me want to learn more.

Next up, our friend St. Andrew (of Yelle remix contest winner fame) just released a 5 track EP which is truly great stuff.  Experimental with flashes of electro and rnb, definitely a unique sound.  Here’s our favorite of the bunch, “Cosmic Terror” (which also happens to be the name of the EP).

Awwwww shit yo, its Friday and its time to loot the inbox like they did in New Orleans before it was wiped off the face of the Earth. So now I finally have a few free minutes to put up some new tracks for you all, there’s literally about 50 on my desktop that I’ve been wanting to post, but for now I’ll just share the last few that really stood out. 

First up, check out this track by The Sterehoes.  I know, the name is a bit odd and at a glance is almost identical to The Stereoheroes.  This track also does sound like it samples ALOT from Poney Poney’s “Cross The Fader“, but we’ll give them the benefit of the doubt on this one and hopefully there are a few more like “May 68” in the near future to put our minds at ease.

Next up, check out a little peice of Swedish Ghettotech from Basutbudet.  This has been out for awhile now, but I recently rediscovered it and was glad that I did.  I love the DIY feel on all Markus’ tracks.

Recently, the long awaited Van She album, “Ze Vemixes“, which consists of all Van She Tech remixes of Van She originals, finally dropped worldwide.  The rework of “Techno Music” is definitely one of my favorites, reminds me of the ghosts of banger past, back when Van She Tech pumped out amazing remix after remix:

And finally, one last track bfeore I pass out from lack of sleep, here is Bogdan Irkuk’s remix of Sally Shapiro’s “Miracle“.  I love everything about Sally’s soothing voice and the 8+ minute backing track that Irkuk has set it to is the perfect landscape, much better than the original in my opinion (although it sitll doesn’t match up to this one we posted before).

Here are some semi-new tracks from Proxy out of Moscow and Montreal’s Tiga.

First up, is a Proxy remix of Tiga’s “What You Need “off his recent release, Ciao. This track is not that new, but it hasn’t received as much attention as it should have from the blogs. Proxy seems to consistently put out great dancefloor tracks, so we figured we would put it out there again for anyone who missed it.

Next up Tiga does the remixing. The artist he remixes is Fever Ray, who is actually one half (Karin Dreijer Andersson) of the musical duo, The Knife. I really like what Tiga did with this track. This is another track that isn’t getting that much love from the blogs, so here it is.

Royksopp is definitely one of our favorites here at Jacuzzi Killers, so you can imagine we only like to post the best remixes of their work. Take a listen to this and you will understand why it’s on our site. France’s 4 piece group, Chateau Marmont is responsible for this one. Everyone knows Dim Mak founder, Steve Aoki. Incase you don’t, he is that asian DJ that makes vulnerable girls more vulnerable with bottles of Grey Goose. Well, when he’s not busy with all that he is in the studio making some respectable banger tracks. I gotta say this one is a little more than respectable.

I used to be a big fan of hip-hop, a huge fan actually, especially back in the late 80’s and early 90’s when it was more about expression and story telling than bling and catchy one liners.  Somewhere between the Soulja Boy take over and implementation of the ”must auto-tune everything rule” though, I stopped listening; forever removing Hot97 off of my FM presets.  Lately though, I’ve been noticing a alot of rappers breaking into the mainstream (or at least the stream) that have been doing it a bit differnet, with some originality.  Unique lyrics, experimental beats, lack of auto-tune…all things that have been getting me interested in hip-hop again.

Here are a few tracks that caught my attention.  I have a ton more, so if you like them, speak up and I’ll post more:
