Sunny skies and 70 degrees in October? Not usual for the Pacific Northwest, but that’s exactly what we got for Amber and Hall’s special day! We took full advantage of the beautiful weather, and headed up to a park for some shots over looking the bay. The ceremony and reception took place at the Majestic Inn in downtown Anacortes.

The sun was out, the temperature was perfect, and the wedding was amazing. And look at the size of that wedding party! SO much fun!!

Jackie & Spencer Engagement – An Evening at the Barn

Jackie and Spencer wanted to capture their personalities, as well as the rustic feel of their upcoming wedding. We did this shoot on some private property in Stanwood, and it couldn’t have turned out better! The barn, the hay field, the tall grass, the railroad tracks…it was perfect! These two are getting married July 2013 at Maplehurst Farms in Mount Vernon. Can’t wait!!!

Taylor and Shawn – Semiahmoo Wedding – Bellingham Wedding Photography

A very moving story behind this wedding…just months before their original wedding date last October, Shawn was hit by a drunk driver on his motorcycle, and tossed off an overpass 30 feet down into shrubbery. He broke countless bones, and was given a slim chance of survival by doctors. Shawn Cowie is a NHRA world championship contending top alcohol dragster driver, and was on his way to his most successful season before the accident. Through numerous surgeries by some of the best doctors in the nation, and the undying support from Taylor and families, Shawn has made a remarkable recovery. Less than one year later, he walked down the isle, danced with his wife, tossed the garter, and thoroughly enjoyed this special day. Word is, he plans to make a full recovery and be back at the races in the future. Congratulations Taylor and Shawn, you are a truly inspiring couple!

An Evening Stroll with Heather and Jon – Bellingham Engagement Session

Yet another amazing engagement session with a great couple! We strolled all around Whatcom Falls Park, chatting, laughing, having a good time…oh yea, and we took some photos too Then we headed over to Fairhaven for a quick jaunt down Taylor Dock, and finally ended up at Marine Park to catch the sunset. We even dodged a train, and managed to snap a quick shot in front of it! What better way to spend a Summer evening???
