But at this moment, this strategy is backfiring, with India responding with mountain divisions , rapid reaction forces , air bases , missile squadrons and what not. Although Indian Political leaders are corrupt, its military is not so powerless to let China snub India as it wishes. I wish India raise its defense budget to at least $ 80 billions from its $30 billions (official figure) with this China threat becoming imminent. Although China spends $150 billions a year on its military, the quality of weaponry is not always at par with India.

Only under National Security and Political Stability, Economic Prosperity is achievable, India needs an Economic revolution to out pass china economically, with young population at hand, no doubt India could achieve $5-6 trillion economy in the next 10 years. But India should prioritize National Security first to guarantee it and for that India should counter the geopolitics game Chinese are trying to play.

So what could India do in the next 5 years, to counter this China threat militarily:

India should go ahead and test Agni V and station the ICBM missile all across the India-China border targeting every major Chinese cities.

India should engage with his Holiness Dalai Lama more and seek his help in reviving Nalanda University.

Give back diplomatic buffs to China then and there where it could on Tibet and Akshai Chin.

Develop Military relations with Vietnam and unofficial military relationship with Taiwan and start giving Prithvi and Agni I to Vietnam.

Indian Navy should speed up its Submarine acquisition and achieve Blue Water Navy capability with in 5-7 years.

Indian Air force should achieve full approved squadron strength by 2015.

Develop Infrastructure in war time speed along NE borders and speed up economic prosperity in Kashmir and NE.
