I've always had a super difficult time with change. I like things to stay the way they are. My parents always like to remind me of a story from when I was little....I guess when they would rearrange the furniture, I would lay on top of it and just cry. "Don't move it! It's fine the way it is!"

Well, throughout the years as I've gotten older I've come to realize that CHANGE IS A GOOD THING! So I'm happy to announce my new blog "Every Day Is An Occasion".

I will still have "Jaihart", and there will be a page from Jaihart to Every Day.. and a page on Every Day to Jaihart. I will just be mostly on Every Day is an Occasion! So, I hope that you will still follow me...The Best is Yet to Be! I'm so excited about all the new things I have in store for YOU, my readers!

I'm so excited to share this sweet little card for Melin! She is a GREAT leader! I have had so much fun on CWC Design Team! I cannot thank her enough for going out on a limb and inviting me to be on her design team. This is the first design team I have ever been on and what a SUPER experience it has been! I have really gained so many skills and best of all AMAZING friends! This is a bittersweet post for me because I'm so sad to say that I will not be returning in the fall with CWC. I LOVE this team, but I just know that it is time for me to leave. Thank you all for just being awesome craft friends, and THANK YOU MELIN for giving me this opportunity! I look forward to what is to come in my crafty future! I can't wait to share it with you all VERY SOON!....I have really been working hard on my surprise! It should be very soon when I can announce it!

For this card I used the cricut cartridge Tie the Knot. I used the "Thank You" from the invitation on the cartridge. Then the rest of it was from my scrapbox! Man, I love using my scrapbox! It helps me make my BEST cards! I used a Martha Stewart punch for the bottom, Doily, is the name I believe! That is my new favorite go to currently!

Heidi Swapp Memory File concept

Heidi Swapp is amazing! I love her style! Have you seen her memory files? LOVE THEM! You can check out her products here. This is a memory file I created with some materials I had on hand. I loved this concept so much I'm going to be getting some of her products very soon!
I created this memory file for a friend who invited us over for a bocce ball tournament. In case you're wondering, "Asleson" is my friend's last name.

Whoo Hoo! Party Favor is Published!

OMG! I walked into Hobby Lobby on Friday and what did I see? The magazine my party favor is published in! I saw it online but never actually got to hold it and look at it! So excited! They surprised me with a 3 page layout and a tutorial of my project! I didn't know they were going to do that! The fun thing about this favor is that each child created their own! It was an activity that we did at my son's birthday party last year! So excited and in shock to have this project published!

How is everyone's weekend? Mine has been super awesome! Friday night was another date night with my husband! SO FUN! Then Saturday we went boating, tubing, swam in a lake, and got to ride a donkey! We also got to celebrate my awesome bro in laws bday! Fun times! What have you been up to?

Super Fun Money Birthday Card

Who LOVES Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop? I do I do! These programs are my favorites! Here is a simple card I made for my teenage cousin. Teenagers are so into getting money as presents. So I stitched a piece of cardstock to the back of this card I made, and voila a money pocket!

Hello Friends! Have you heard of the super awesome company called Pick Your Plum? They have all different sorts of things that they sell. They have only a limited amount of each item, so their tag line, "Get it before you neighbor does" is totally true! Their items go FAST because they are so super cheap...inexpensive that is! You may have noticed on my sidebar that I have a link to their website on a regular basis. I noticed this deal today and had to share it with you today because...... I LOVE Bakers twine! I use it to wrap presents, use on cards, banners, and so many other things! Look at all those super fun colors! Dishwasher labels

If you read my post yesterday you might have seen that we spent our 4th of July up at the lake. Well, while we were there I spotted this super cute craft that my darling cousin made.

Want to make some?

You'll need:

Luggage Laminating pouches-you can purchase these at any office supply store

Document laminator- which you can purchase at Target...not to expensive like $20. I use mine to laminate pages for books that my son and I make.

Scrapbook paper

Sticker letters

Ribbon

Steps:

1. Cut your paper to fit inside your laminating pouches

2. Put "Clean" and then "Dirty" letter stickers on scrapbook paper

3. Put pouch inside laminator

4. Take out and Tie ribbon on!

5. Enjoy!

My 17 year old cousin came up with this craft! Isn't she great?!

She is quite crafty and always amazes me with her talent!

Bye Bye Crayon.. Hello Clean!

Recently, I cleaned out my classroom and said goodbye to teaching!

I found these baskets when I was cleaning it out.

I was so excited because I'm redoing my craft room and needed little baskets.

The only problem was that they were all marked up from the crayons.

I tried everything to clean them up and nothing worked until I became friends with

Mr. Clean and his Magic Eraser Pads! Have any of you tried these? Oh my, they work wonders!

Seriously, look at the pictures above, and it is proof!

The only thing they don't do as well on is pencil markings.

Crayon is like a miracle, but pencil is not, so I just used a regular eraser!

They are all clean now and in my craft room!

End of the Year Cookie Treat

Participating in summer camps or taking a summer class?

Well, my husband taught a summer law class.

So, of course, I had to make a cute little treat for his students for their last day!

Do you watch the tv show shark tank? I absolutely LOVE it!

You may remember a cute little lady, Blondie, who came out and talked

about her cookies, "Blondie's Cookies".

Well, I almost fell out of my chair because we have one of those stores in our mall!

They are by far THE BEST cookie you will ever have in your life....NO JOKE!

Since we found out that they were in financial trouble we had to support them even more,

because if they went out of business not only would I be sad, but my entire family for sure!

So we bought the cookies from Blondies, which you can check her out here and wrapped them up all cute.
My husband was like, "Why don't you just send in some napkins and they can just grab a cookie".....very thoughtful of him, but this type of thing is right up my alley, so I made a printable, which is at the end of the this post, some ribbon, tape, XL Circular punch, regular hole punch, foam stickers, and cellophane bags.

Here is how I secured it in the back with a foam sticker

Dress Up Your Flower Pots

Sometimes it's fun to add a little something to a flower pot to give it height, a bit of color, or interest.

You may remember a post I did where I added vinyl house numbers to a flower pot. If not, you can check it out here.

Today, I decided to add these flower picks to our Brella Bowl for fun.

If you notice the plates, cups, etc... in the background of the pictures, I won those at

a recent wedding shower I went to. I never win at Bingo, but I did and got all of the dishes as my prize!

Woot Woot! I was so excited, so I made these flower picks to go with the dishes.

Easy Way to Cut a Mango

The only problem was that I had the hardest time cutting them until......

my friend taught me this trick, thanks Becky!

*I cut vertical and horizontal slices because it's easier for my kids to eat, but you don't have to do both, obviously!*
