In fact, the song "Subha Hone na De, Saath khone na De" pours honey in my ears. Tell me what you think. And hey, how about full song?
Pulling wallets to search for chillers at the bus stop. Having dinner with friends we've become in years and the new ones I'm making. Driving with a wonderful roommate to have a cup of chocolate shake. Browsing for hot girls from and in the city bus.

Hiren has become one of the most important part of my days. I confusingly prompt him to get down at every station the city bus stops. He pulls me back every time amusingly! What would I do without him in this big deep sparkling city?

Jignesh has been the biggest help in the city. I wonder if I will ever be able to repay him for all the help he has been and the friend he has been. Nilesh, Harshraj, Yashbhai steal the show. They are the most amazing people I've met. They are caring, loving and fun to be with.

{ day 3 - morning }

This is the first time I've been living in with friends. I used to be in hostel but this is quite different. There isn't a control. You're in control. And that's what helps you become a better person, a better leader, sometimes by force, sometimes by need.

Ahmedabad is a miracle in the name of city. The thing that makes it so incredible is its bubbly loving people. Every morning, at sharp 5:30 Gandhiji's famous song "Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram" plays in the neighborhood to sooth the morning heart.

As the city sleep in the morning silence, the roads are rumbling with city buses that are getting busy for this city's commutation. People are getting up with those small and big dreams they left unattended yesterday. Ahmedabad probably ask for nothing more than love. It says "fall in love".

Amendments in Companies Bill 2011

Following has been introduced and amended in the new company’s bill 2011

1. How can he be with us when we are filled with misery, hatred, ill health, problems, troubles? If there was anything as such called God, why won’t he just come and help us out? Can’t he see our troubles?

But hey, that’s the hack. God is there, sitting there looking at you and wondering “This guy is in trouble. He is cursing me, his troubles and even himself. How come he isn’t calling me out for help?”

Yes, the real trouble is that when we are in trouble, we have time for everything except asking for help. Instead of praying about what we want, we pray about what we have become. God listen to prayers from people that talk about what they want.

But how do we prey? How do we find answers to our problems? How do we know if our prayers are being answered?

Honestly, prayer doesn’t have a method. Prayer is simply a desire. The desire might be someone’s good health, prosperity, better relationship, gratitude or just pure nothingness. Prayer is a short message you send to God, the only way to communicate with him is through prayer.

Pray in gratitude. Thanks him, the almighty for all he has given me, night and day. Thank him for the wonderful family, children, food, shelter, clothing, lights, sun and moon. Thank him for things that have happened and that are about to happen.

When you thank, you receive all you want without further doubt, because you are already thanking for everything in advance. Thank him. Feel that thankfulness. You’ve just prayed. Oh yes, pray with your hands calling for him, light a lamp and just create a symbol of love, light and happiness. Cute girl praying clicked by Nasim Fekrat

Benjamin Franklin’s Daily Schedule

I found this one around Divine Caroline and Flickr. Every human should make sure he is awesome and should not sacrifice or feel guilty about anything that puts him anywhere less and we should all strive to be awesome.

A selfish human doesn't necessarily mean someone that doesn't have heart or is not grateful to someone or is a cheater. It just means a person that gives himself preference over and above anything else. He give preference to not his money, belongings, relatives but himself. He is his biggest reference.

If you want give something to the world, be complete first. Be an ocean of whatever you want to give. Be an ocean of love, an ocean of life, ocean of compassion and just full of everything.

A simple guide to improving your relationships is this. Improve your relationship with yourself. I wasn't born expert, I was prepared and pushed to learning the art of relating by people who failed me, ditched me and eventually left me. They were definitely the best people I met. I am quite proud that I've met so lot of them in so little a time.

So, here is one of the best list on improving your relationships.

1. Stop pushing relationships - I've learned that pushes are bad. They are hard, they are scary and they are discriminate. Honestly, this one comes from a girl. I had a crush on her, a deeeeeep crush. After five years of fielding around, I found myself a space. She was never actually the girl I wanted to be with. I was simply pushing around because I had locked myself in what I was. I had locked myself to her.

But now you know what to do. Stop pushing in relationships. If you are "enjoying" with someone, be. If you feel stressed, just let it go. If you've to pull or push a relation, it isn't working.

2. Stop trying to change people - This one comes the hard way. There are people we can't change or stop being with. Spouse, parents, children and some people have neighbours that bother them. Then we try to change them with our anger and frustration, tricks and plans, words and "wisdom". Stop doing that, the world is never going to find peace that way, no are you doing to!

Learn the art of being yourself, immersed in yourself. That is when you won't care about anyone else. Here, not caring means you are just ignoring what they are and what they do. You are selfish enough to be yourself and take you own actions without getting dis-symmetric.

Try the miracle methods to improving your relationships.

Babaji always teaches that Gratitude and Unconditional love are the key to improving anything in life. Just sit down and imagine all the good thing, be grateful to those good things in relationships. Somehow, it works!

ShivYog Sadhana – Understanding Life

Only when man is in union with GOD is he in union with himself, one with himself and with all creation. Then he sees by that INNER LIGHT which is in the secret place of his soul. Then everything, every moment, every now is BLISSFUL.

There are two ideas around which the deepest problems of thought and of all spiritual vision and life resolve; the IDEA of BEING... and the IDEA of LOVE.

Our SPIRITUAL life is a vision and a creation: doubts and unprofitable questions do not help.

When you can argue about a thing IT SHOWS THAT IT IS NOT WORTH ARGUING ABOUT. :)

Those things which are beyond thought should not be subjected to argument.

When you know that you are alive.... but not alive to the HIGHEST LIFE... u have started your mystic journey.

The truth of the SPIRIT is not found by the arguing of philosophical or metaphysical questions. That's why BUDDHA refused to answer questions. He gave the path of love that leads of NIRVANA, the kingdom of heaven, where all questions shall be answered and the answer will be LIFE.

Be aware of the vast competition that leads down to darkness and destruction.

We could live int he center of our soul and thus feel the infinite joy of BRAHMAN. But instead of yearning towards the center we make infinite centers of selfishness in the circumference of our souls. The farther those center are from CENTER the farther we are from the light.

Not through much learning is the ATMAN reached, not through the intellect and sacred teaching. It is unknown to the learned and known to the simple.

Mind is always in thoughts. When it sees a fruit it can think about that fruit... but in the end one must EAT it if he wants to know its taste. The pleasure and nourishment one may get from eating the fruit is not an act of THOUGHT.

Whatever our external relationships to people and things may be, the fact remains no one can live our own inner life for us; and no one can go through our own death. We have to live our INNER life alone even as we have to die our own death.

The silkworm has died and has become a beautiful butterfly. Free from its limitations, the little self forgets its limited life in the boundless ocean of life. It is not a death, but a victory over death, a rising and a resurrection.

Who sees variety and not the unity wanders on from DEATH to DEATH.

SPIRIT can only be known through union with him, and not through mere learning.

Shiva is supreme soul and shakthi is kundaini shakthi, if you experiences this then you are liberated. ultimate liberation is this shakthi have to rise from basic chakra to crown, in the crown only supreme soul is there it is totally transformation or transcend. divine father is supreme soul and divine mother is kundalini.

Book Review - Unleashing Genius by Dilip Mukerjea

Blogadda sent me Unleashing Genius book for review around 5 days ago. It reached me full well and healthy. The parcel felt heavy. Not usual personal development books, I wondered. And it definitely wasn’t.

Unleashing Genius by Dilip Mukerjea is about training our brains. He has done a fabulous job of collecting the information, ideas and techniques that improve our brain power and get the our brain to work more creatively in rationalizing, decision taking, calculating and understanding stuff that surrounds our life. Dilip Mukerjea calls it “a book on learning miracles for children of all ages”. I think, it is!

The feel of the book is heavy, as I said earlier. It is a full colour illustrated book, with lots cartoons around all the pages trying to make the words more understandable. Illustrations don't looks like they are much worked upon and the typography is not lovable to the eyes. Illustrations look rather ugly and old class and so does typography.

But illustrations and typography are not the real essence of the book. The real thing is the knowledge. The real secret is in the form of techniques, exercises and methods. The book is deep into how brain works and how we can make it work even better and faster.

The book is a brain development learning environment using colours, mind maps, illustrations, imagination. It is filled with jokes that tickle the brain.

Deep in the Chapters

Chapter 1 talks about brain. It’s a full on medical class and worth skipping. The first chapter tells us what the brain is, what it is made up of, how neural cells work and how brain works. It contains comparisons and statistics.

Chapter 2 is about improving our memory. Many of us think that memory has to be exercised. Well, I think we are constantly exercising the memory. It has a few good methods like linking method and the peg system. The book has in-depth exercise and technical knowhow to help you understand the methods.

The next chapter teaches about reading. Reading should be methodical. It should surpass how we read and mug up things in school and college. Reading should be spontaneous, fast, comprehensive and easy. That’s what reading dynamics is all about. To me, it reading dymanics is the most important part of the book because that’s when you get to apply other techniques of mind mapping, memory building and others in sync. You got to read to remember, understand and make brain create reasons.

Reading dynamics also teaches you power browsing the book. It is important because sometimes we simply need a quick way to take a good overview of the content we will be dealing with. It further relates to photoreading books which is quite common these days.

With mindmaps, Dilip claims that a student group could complete a year’s syllabus in a week. A learning miracle in itself, isn’t it?

One of the many good tips to readers is to ask questions while reading. Questions like, what is being said, why it is being said and how?

Then there is some psychology and personal development that teaches you how to think, act and work. It feels like a have-done thing but in fact, it is a totally non-cliché book I’ve read in a time that thrives on originality and yet feels too unfamiliar to adopt.

The book is splendid to the end. It has lots of jokes, brain building exercises and fun routines that feel like a lot of work to be done. Enjoyed the book but well, a simple question I ask myself – is the book worth a 1200 rupees price tag? Definitely, not! But that doesn’t mean it is not good enough. It is good and worth learning from, improving upon and unleashing the genius within. { Thanks to Blogadda for sending me the book under the fab Book Reviews Program. }

How to regain and improve self confidence?

The one is where you build confidence. It builds itself when you are passionate about something. Building self confidence is like you are starting at something and you go on getting better at it, simultaneous building confidence along the way.

Regaining confidence feels like unnatural. If you are quite sure about what you enjoy and suddenly you are put into a situation where you are no longer connected to that passion, you loose confidence. Then, when you get a chance again, you are supposed to regain your confidence.

And it is harder than building one.

When I failed terribly for some time back, I needed someone to help me regain and improve my confidence. All I understood was that confidence can be regained and improved only when you look inside you and forgive. Here are 5 quick steps to regain and improve your confidence.

1. Forgive the past. Your mistakes, wrong decisions and all of what you did are now over and right now you have reached a stand point where you have learned from your mistakes and probably not commit them again.

2. When in trouble, take help. It is important to not get distracted from the objective when we can’t get it completed. Taking help helps. When the problem gets solved, our confusions are resolved and we find peace.

3. Get away from sympathetic people – We need to get away from people who sympathetically keep reminding us about how bad we are at our job. The greatness listens to none. Ignore and go ahead.

4. Patience – Want to build confidence? Build patience first. Impatient guy never gets the world done right and thus, never builds self confidence. Be the guy that is persistent till the end!

5. Practice make the man confident – Practice. Keep practicing. Keep in pace with your work no matter how hard and confidence shall follow.

ShivYog Shivir – Babaji’s Gems – a Collection by Jackob

If you just emotionally only acknowledge your body parts, it will get charged. Whenever free sit and only feel that body part and Shambhavi from your third eye will automatically flow there and heal.

Emotions are in your hand and that affects the bhaav shareer (emotion body). When bhaav shareer is pure, you can connect easily to your guru.

when you say "My life is a waste and I don't feel like living", etc,you are sending strong messages to your kaaran shareer (causal body) and then the kaaran shaeer starts creating the disease so that you do not live more (as per the thoughts) and then you wonder why your body is getting sick.

Simple way to heal. for 24 hours continue to think and feel that diseased body organ as a completely normal organ. Don't think it is healing or "going to heal" but see the body part as completely normal for that immediately starts making that part normal.

The phenomenon of 4th dimension is different. In 3rd dimension if you have to feel your heart, your hand goes to your chest but in the 4th dimension, you just project it in front of you and the heart appears in front of you and you heal it directly. Similarly to heal others, you would visualize their diseased part in front of you and heal directly.

When you want to materialize, be very specific. For example, if you say you want a "good" amount, that "good" may be something else in your subconscious mind because you are always in the prison of your intellect.

Where you think (focus on) energy flows there.

Never think of possessing or dominating anyone else's thoughts. It is vashikaran, which is maili vidya. Never do it. Someone came to me with a photo and asked me to pray so that he be able to marry that person in the photo and I refused. If you want to marry, what you need to write and visualize an ideal partner. Fixing up a person and then trying to influence is nothing but infatuation and amounts to vashikaran.

One who speaks harsh worlds cannot be a ShivYog sadhak. You should be graceful and sweet in words as the words you speak goes into your own kaaran shareer (causal body).

A ShivYog sadhak only choses things of the highest quality. So when a person is before a sadhak, the sadhak choses only the highest and best quality of that person and discards the rest. The sadhak never judges the negative qualities but relishes only his good qualities.

Whenever you look at anyone probe the best quality of that person and adapt it into your life. Every person, however negative, will still certainly have good points.

The moment you think of anything negative, you get connected to that negativity and your shakti is affected, how much ever you may look and be strong from outside.

A ShivYog sadhak never questions the guru in any form. If he does, it means that he has not yet put the teachings of the guru into his life.

As much as possible avoid using cellphones and electronic watches. Whenever you have to use cellphones avoid maximum contact to the ear by using earphones or speaker phones. Minimize it's touch on your body. Cells with more features emit more negative energy. The purpose of cellphone is only communication, so use simple phones with no heavy features.

Now your body is your temple. Meditate within on advait.

Offer salutations (namaskar) and smiles to all whom you meet.

When we go to a hotel out of country and when the waiter offers food, we say "thank you" and here when he keeps, we say sternly "rak" (keep!) When appearing stern from outside one can say "i am happy from within" but this is not true. If one is happy from within, it has to come out in facial and body expressions.

A real sadhak is one who wipes the tears of others and a real sadhak is he in whose company you can be happy.

A sadhak who does regular sadhana will not find obstacles coming his way.

Since you have come through 84 lakh yonis, you will have pashu bhaav. As a ShivYog sadhak you burn the pashu bhaav and bring the deva bhaav.

Many sadhaks fell I am talking to them only. Some feel that they are being scolded by me. If you feel so, I would add a disclaimer that my words don't mean what you are interpreting. I don't judge you - God promise :)

Value money; spend money judiciously. Never spend money lavishly for self needs. The money you get, spend a portion for -

Parivar paalan (taking care of your family. Baba said accumulation is not paalan.)

Reinvestment in your businesses.

Charity.

Save enough that by age 40 you would be financially independent.

Wealth will come and it will come in both ways - the right and wrong. You will have to chose through which medium you wish to receive.

Do not open a business with the guru. In the name of guru don't demand your own seva. Doing so, many punyas get burnt. In the temple of God and Guru there should not be any business.

First materialize a healthy body because without that how can you experience the bhog?

For everything have these -

Objective (an intention or goal)

Planning (for that objective)

Implementation (of the plans)

Follow-up (keeping a checking and following up what has been implemented)

Control system (where you have control over the entire above four systems without having to personally indulge in everything. Baba mentioned how European countries have an excellent control system and operate businesses spread throughout the world sitting in their offices)

Advertisements are planned and devised in such a way that the message enters your subconscious mind compelling you to buy that product. Diamonds are forever, they say. Diamonds have no resale value than gold. So, diamonds are NEVER forever :)

When you selflessly work for others, your fortune opens up.

Bring a smile on a child. The smile on the face of a child is equivalent to ashwamedha yagna!

If you can help someone with that which he does not have the privilege but you have the privilege of, you will have abundance - mark my words!

If all around you are happy, you be happy. If people around you are not happy, you still be happy. What can you do? It is their soul agenda.

You can get away from everyone with lies but you can't get away from yourself. The moment you lie to yourself, you inner mind will remind you with a voice "Golmaal hai.....". (it is deceptive..)

Never speak lies even in fun. Always speak the truth.

Never even think of harming anyone.

Even if fun never speak or think negative words.

Never talk any negative thing about others.

At home don't be a teacher, instead be a role model.

Don't try to purify your words, your thoughts or your actions but purify your bhaav and everything else will purify.

If you want to grow spiritually always check your intentions.

With bhog shubdh bhaavana (pure intentions) becomes sukh (happiness) and ashudh bhaavana (impure intentions) becomes vasana (tendencies).

Be consistent in sadhana. Twice a day.

Nothing is free in this world. You have to pay for it. What comes free has a seed which can grow into a tree with fruits of misery.

As far as possible avoid taking gifts and if unavoidable, then repay back in some other form.

Never use anyone's money or you lose shakti.

Husband and wife doing sadhana together is great and the relationship bonding gets excellent. Unfortunately, when two people of the opposite sex come together it is always with pashu bhaav (animal tendencies). It should be in manushya bhaav (human tendencies) and deva bhaav (god tendencies) Marriages don't last long because of pashu bhaav. Wife has to consider husband as Shiva and husband has to consider wife as Devi.

Jaisa anna vaisa mann (As the food, so the mind) One who cooks food transfer their energies into the food, according to what bhaav they hold at the time of cooking. Your family prepares food with love and concern for you but the cook at a hotel could be cribbing and cursing in different emotions according to his state of mind then, which he transfers into the food. This food when you consume, you will start enacting the same emotions in your life, like getting irritated or abusive because that energy has been transfered through food into you.

Let the women in the family chant the Shree Vidya mantra and cook food.

With non-vegetarian food and alcohol, one's emotions are sensitive to anger and irritation.

Unpolished rice and dal is the ideal Indian food, especially the South Indian food severed on banana leaf, but nowadays not much curd is used, which is ideal. The north Indian food consists of roti/paratha which is not Indian but came from out.

Avoid meat since when an animal is killed out of fear it secretes adrenalin which then gets into the meat that is consumed and this emotion becomes a part of you. Especially, with meat of mammals (beef/pork, etc) as while being killed the mother has great concern and fear for her young ones (and this emotion is a part of the food that is going to be consumed.) This will deplete shakti and bring on disease. Fishes have least negative energy.

In the start a ShivYog sadhak may have to work a little hard to discipline things but eventually he will get acquainted to it.

Business families fix high salaries for their children who don't even move a finger but get easy money, which leads to non-responsibility. If money needs to be given to them, then that needs to be earned otherwise with easy life, if something comes up in life, they will not be able to even stand up and handle things. Please don't give lot of fluid cash in the hands of children because with easy cash without realizing the value of money they will blow it up and easily get access to wrong things. I have seen certain families, when their children ask for a new car, they are given certain targets to be achieved and this makes them responsible and they earn that car.

Don't get stuck in things like whether wearing leather (animal product) is right or wrong, but rather bring simpler things into your life like speaking sweetly and not harsh words. Speaking sweet is supporting vegetarianism.

When manthan (churning out of negative qualities during sadhana) happens, Guru helps his disciple to burn the process and saves him. After this churning comes wealth and if only one remains aloof (withdrawn) from it, only then he gets the amrit (nectar).

Bhog (experience) the wealth. Tum bhog ko bhogo, bhog tumko na bhoge (You dominate and experience the abundance and prosperity but they should not dominate you.)

The outer wealth is not your real wealth, but your real wealth is your inner shakti (power), gyan (wisdom), karuna (compassion).

When asked about osho scriptures - His scriptures are good, you can read them but do Shree Vidya Sadhana and then read his scriptures and you will be able to take in what is right and discard the rest.

You can allow others to take your positivity only if you allow them to. No need to wander off anywhere to any (wrong) person. Spiritual energy can be stolen in the name of giving you powers. Whatever it is, the Guru still protects you from such incidents. You have been empowered with the highest sadhana. Know that no maili vidya (left-hand tantra or vaama tantra) can work on you.

Don't wear taaviz (amulet) anymore when you are already wearing a Shree Yantra. Leave the taaviz under some tree or put it into the river.

For knee problem, take good soil and add gomutra (cow urine) make a paste of it and apply on the knees and leave it for a while and then wash it after sometime. Do this for a week. Also, give females respect and do not treat them like cabbage, don't be dominant on them, allow them to speak. (Knee problems appears with great sense of helplessness.)

In the house where a female is not respected, Mother Lakshmi leaves that house.

Every moment you are under some karmic debts. Someone gives you love, you got to give back multitude. Gratitude is the best way of receiving love.

A ShivYog sadhak should bring the bhaav of being Shiva. Bhaav not from vasana and saying it with ego that "I am Shiva and you better watch out."

Bring the bhaav of Shiva consciousness in everything. Shiva is eating through this body. Shiva is speaking through this body. Shiva is working through this body. Also, bring this bhaav of seeing Shiva in others. Shiva is speaking through that person. Shiva is speaking angrily to me through that person. When I am in the shivir, I see Shiva in you and say, "Lord Shiva, you have all the wisdom and today you are sitting in front of me to take wisdom from me, so great is your leela!" With this kind of bhaav you there will be no ego.

People ask me if people can be an avtaar of God, and I say, you ALL are avtaars of God.

Whenever you sit for sadhana, don't sit directly on the ground or on plain cloth, use a thick woolen asana.

For a ShivYog sadhak, every place is a sacred place for sadhana with the right bhaav. I do yagna (advait) even in the plane and there is no jet lag also.

Success, abundance, prosperity comes easily to (practicing) ShivYog sadhaks along with spiritual relationships and behavioral changes. They will become soft spoken.

When one shouts and uses harsh words, he is not strong but he is actually feeling weak and thus ready to strike like a scorpion.

A spiritual person will not react to harsh things and will always be ready to help others. There will be grace in their walk, talk, dressing, expressions and will be humble and simple.

How to know if what you have written in your Golden Book is right or not? If you cannot visualize clearly what you have written in your Golden Book then it is not written right (or is not the thing you really want).

Never be dependant on anyone. Create happiness from the self and help others in happiness.

When you activate chakras

Sahastrar chakra - connects you to Shiva.

Anahata - connects you to the Guru.

Vishuddhi - connects you to Kala/voice/Maa Saraswati.

Manipur - controls emotions.

Swadishtan - controls sexual energy. When this chakra expands it builds a lot of sexual energy which has to be channelled up or else if it remains there, it will flow downwards (sexually). If pulled upwards it turns into creativity. (Baba taught the same kriya mentioned in an earlier post here.)

Mooladhara - (material stability).

As your powers are increasing, the negative aspects of negative entities are also powerful. So be very careful with negative emotions that can create negative entities. These negative entities will reduce with increase of your shakti.

ShivYog sadhaks make a graceful life. Check how you can become helpful to others. If you are not useful to others, then others are not going to be useful to you. When you give, you receive.

Someone asked Ishan bhaiya also to speak and baba said - Ishan is not speaking today because he is in the receiving mode as a disciple :) When his time comes, he will leave me also far behind. (At this time, Ishan bhaiya offered salutations to Baba.)

I will keep coming and going, but I will always be there for you. If I go, I will go for you. Wherever I go, I will keep you with me and it will be helpful to you. But now, you also have to merge with me - have faith :) My only intention now is that you all attain self-realization and to make Bramharishis. (Thanks Jackob! You’re a sweetheart!)

Interior design inspiration – White and Colourful

Clean and tidy. That’s what some of us think of interior design “shoulds”. I wondered what plain white could do to inspire our interior designs. Well, the results from a single Google search are astoundingly brilliant.

These interior designs are simple, elegant and spacious to the eye. I think what makes an interior design with the white look beautiful is its sheer simplicity and ability to handle contrasting bright and dark colours. White blends with everyone, and creates purity in the essence of our interior designs.

I believe inspiration should be quick. Some of these designs are so simple and elegant, it feels like white is the most lovable colour out there. But then again, we don’t enjoy minimalism all the time. We want our lives to be filled with stuff, colours and things we need.

Minimalism is a way of life, white helps us move towards minimalism but we don’t really think minimalism is completely adorable. Colors matter and so does white.

How to stop controlling people?

God never controls. I’ve learned that God never controls. He creates. But, we control, sometimes in the name of necessity and sometimes, precautions. I’ve come to know that control is in the mind, in subconscious.

We are not controlling because we fear but because we are stubborn with ego. Ego makes us control things that further prepare that ego for larger controls.

To a siddha, controlling is pointless. To him, everything is working perfectly as it should. There is nothing wrong with anything happening with the universe. So, I guess you know how to stop controlling people.

Get Shortmail to simplify your email conversations - 9 Quick Tips

At the dawn of internet, or at least when I started using the internet, it was all about Yahoo mail. If you might just know, Yahoo mail had its faults. It was a little ugly, one could send email only after attachments uploaded and there were folders, yuk!
Back then, even though Gmail was in beta (and took little too long to revive from it) it came up with pretty simpler terms about email. They rethought the way we define our inbox. They came up with a simple design, labels (which help us put the same email in multiple categories without duplicating them) and instead of a fixed storage.
Recently, I came along a tiny revolt against traditional email. They call it “Shortmail”. It uses our twitter username to provided us with username@shortmail.com email address. Shortmail make emailing simple and hassle free, just because users have demanded it for so long!
Facebook has also attempted creating an email service integrated right inside their messaging. It doesn’t have that character limit and uses attachments. That doesn’t make it any simple compared to traditional email. Just as scarry as old days!
As users, we want emails to not only to be simple, quick and timely but also lovable. And Shortmail delivers just that. Here are 15 simple ways to improve your email communications using Shortmail.
For Starters
1. Get a Shortmail Widget for open connections. Use the widget in place of contact me pages and places where you might just fear disclosing your open emails.
2. Make your conversations more socially secure by making them public or private. Private messages are simple tiny email while public emails are conversations like in forums.
3. They say shortmail doesn’t allow attachments. Well, the web does. Upload your files in a common storage like Dropbox or Google Docs or file upload services and simply link them in your emails. (Hey Shortmail, a link to storage site is recommended.)
4. 500 Characters means Faster Conversations in Shortmail. Don’t worry about 500 characters. This means faster communication. Reading a long 1000 words is tough and time consuming (and even monotonous) then reading a 500 ‘character’ mails that can be read and replied in no time.
5. Pin Shortmail in Chrome or Firefox tab. Well, this is just about making Shortmail reach instantly at the start of your browse. Pin your Shortmail web app in Chrome or Firefox by right clicking the tab and selecting ‘PinTab’.
6. Forget labels and folders. Shortmail understand that searching a label manually from a list of lables is as time consuming as searching the mail itself. So, why make it confusing? Simply type in the keyword (or speak) in searchbox and find all the email instantly!
For Web Addicts
7. Imagine twitter without traffic. Shortmail is the big brother of twitter and it doesn’t enjoy traffic! So, for those who want conversations through messages and keep busy with their own things, follow the 7 steps above.
8. Send email updates on twitter. Shortmail allows updates on twitter! Simply select @username of the person your are sending email and he will receive an @mention reminding of your email.
9. Integrate POP3 and IMAP with Gmail or Yahoo. Hey, have no other way to leave Gmail or your desktop client? Well, integrate your mailbox with Shortmail and stay update in 500 characters or less.
We need a revolution in using emails and it is definitely happening. Social networks like Facebook and twitter are improving faster than ever and for now, sharing of photos, music and staying in touch through emails comes to an end. In the near future, emails will only be used for professional communication which is also being covered by socialites through fan pages and twitter brandings. Time emails pulled up their socks!

The power of loosing distractions

Yesterday was Jawahar Lal Nehru’s birthday. So, I searched for the book ‘The Discovery of India’ and found a PDF version of the book. It was around 500 pages long, filled with life transforming stories, philosophies and thoughts.

I wondered how he managed to write one of India’s most amazing explanations only to realize that it was the power of loosing distraction that helped Chachaji complete his work.

Generally, we love distractions. I do. I used to write endless to-do lists, priority lists and never complete them and let me tell you none of my priorities were as hard as writing that 500 page masterpiece and yet, I never completed them, simply because I was so abreast to my distractions.

The day I lost my distractions, the computer, the internet, the television, friends, time-pass activities, my priorities got crossed off by themselves. Isn’t that simple?

It is important to loose your distractions. That might look like another way of telling “concentrate on your priorities” but I think it’s a bit different. It means, instead of working about trying to complete the work when you are distracted, you switch off the distractions one by one and get the work done, because then you have nothing else to do.

Nehru happened to be in the same condition. He wrote ‘the Discover of India’ while he was in Jail for five months in Ahmednagar Fort Prison during April to September 1944. Back then, they had nothing else to do in jail. No politics, no country rebel, no activities, just lots and lots of time to waste.

Thus, when you are puffed up from your distractions, you loose you work. Try switching off your distraction one by one and switch them off so that they are out of reach. In no time, you’ll have completed your best work. Photo by Robert via Flickr!

Make Adobe Reader remember the page number from where you left off

I was reading 'The Discovery of India' by Jawaharlal Nehru this morning when it stuck to me.. is there a way to make Adobe Reader remember where I last left off?! I searched over the internet and it saved a hell lot of my time. Here is what it said..

If you work with a lot of PDFs, especially e-books or other lengthy documents, you probably find it annoying that the files always open at page 1, not the last page you were viewing.

Thankfully, there's a simple way to make Adobe Reader 8 remember your page (as well as your selected zoom and pan settings):

Click Edit, Preferences.
Choose Documents.
Check the box marked, Restore last view settings when reopening documents.

I had been searching for this thing for years. I've read probably a hundred books, saving the page number of my last page in notepad. Thanks for this lifesaver idea, I can start reading my books where I left off!

Shiva Shivoham – The Universal Strategy

NOBODY likes to be managed.... everybody like to be INCLUDED. love unconditionally.

If there is a disturbance in your life... just remember it because of your ignorance... thinking of yourself as something other than what you really are. REFLECT YOUR TRUE SELF... REACH OUT TO PERMANENT HAPPINESS. BLISS.

Liberation is not an IDEA.... it is the fundamental longing. But most of us invest our whole life in material well being... than spiritual well being. and Dying to live every moment. LIBERATE UR SOUL... and be in permanent happiness.... you just need you. Nothing more. Nothing less.

When you are torn by the pain of IGNORANCE.... then the MASTER arrives.. It is upto you to recognize it or reject it. You are born free. :)

The very purpose of life is to reach the highest possible flowering. But most of us are on the way to scale this height... got our tents half way and got greedy for worldly things and even forgot our further journey. WAKE UP. walk... don't stop until you reach the peak. Once u r there... u know what to do. namaste.

Just witnessing. nothing more; nothing less.

Be worshipful. Not only as an act to GOD. But to birds, plants, flower, food, earth, rain, water, air, animals.... and your life will become UTTERLY beautiful. Blissful. Try it NOW!

Feel ALIVE. Being alive is not a small thing. It is the greatest phenomenon not just on the planet, but in the whole of the COSMOS. feel each and every cell, every atom dancing in bliss within you. Feel ALIVE.

If you get too entangled with your own plans and creations... there are chances YOU WILL MISS CREATOR'S CREATION.

Enlightenment doesn’t mean all will look and feel alike. It really means everybody will become their own true way. True reflection. That is the beauty of it.

It is obscene to ask the creator who walk besides you to do something as if he doesn't know what he should do to you at that moment. What ever is happening right NOW is the right experience for you. Feel alive. Feel Blissful. It will all be revealed to you when the time comes.

That which created you and everything in this universe is walking besides you... Just witness. If you miss this, it is a true tragedy. They are treading water in their relationships and have lost their spiritual center and focus. This lack of spiritual centeredness leads to pain, anguish and frustration.

- Think of people who have hurt you the most. They are the ones who are your greatest teachers because they show you what to avoid. You know that you don't want to be like them and make choices away from that way of life.

- Go forward and live a life of self-empowerment. You can accomplish miracles when your spirit is in alignment. The answers are within you waiting to be revealed. Actively pray and actively work at creating what you want in your life.

- Design your life so you are happy. If you are not happy, life doesn't mean anything. Embrace what you want most in life, be passionate about it, and then you can create it.

- Be of service to others. It's all about what you can do for others to help them get what they need. When you help other people, it helps you get what you need. Everyone benefits.

- Commit to something. Throw your heart and soul into finding your direction in life. Use your energy to connect with the spirit that surrounds you.

- Put your intentions out into the universe. Whatever you think about, you bring about. The more you obsess over something; you will attract it into your life.

Learning to be of service and having faith will bring you to your center, giving your life the quiet and calm needed for happiness. When you are aligned with the spirit, anything is possible. You will create a life of your dreams and help others, as well.

There are five keys to setting intentions and creating what you desire in life:

1. Know what it is you truly desire.
2. Look at your belief structure. What do you truly believe? Beliefs can hold you back or propel you forward.
3. Clear your vessel. Meditate on who you are. You must know who you are in order to attract what you desire.
4. Let the spirit guide you to healing. Be willing to go through what it takes to heal and reach the next level.
5. Be determined to discover your calling. Allow yourself every opportunity to get there.

Give up your comfort zone and live a new proactive life. Your dreams will not just happen, you must create them. It is not a comfortable process; it is about taking a risk.

Take a leap of faith into changing your life, putting your entire soul into the process. You can have a spiritually rich life, finding the true purpose you have been searching for.

Don't be discouraged, quitting before your miracle can happen. Things will get hard, but stick to it. Use your passion to get you through the years to your final goal. Have faith in your spirit, meditate for inner calm and follow through, no matter how hard or how long it takes. Pic by Brady Tanner via Flickr

Choose an Idol, create your religion

What do you do when you attend a new subject? You create a standard. You choose an idol. It means you set a point that you think is a place you desire to be. Choosing an idol means you are truly interested in perfecting yourself to the level of your idol and be pronounced like one.

Choosing an idol improves your will power. It tell you what drives your interest and tendencies. Your idol is different from your role model. An idol is something more. It is something you’d dream of reaching and having.

A role model is someone you follow. Choose your idol. Make your idol unbiased. Make it more than just role model. Don’t try to become like your idol or it becomes you role model. Instead, reinvent yourself. Reinvent yourself and be the idol.

Choosing an idol is like choosing a religion. It is a belief. It is what you believe in. When you choose your idol, the object will become your ideology and that ideology will form a religion for you. Idol is your God! Choose an idol, create a religion.

A quote from Seth Godin’s book – The Dip

It's easier to be mediocre than it is to confront reality and quit. I think interior design is about simple artism that resides in all of us, all the time!

I found these amazing colourful home designs and decorations surfing the web. Resistance is a situation or subject makes you uncomfortable when you think about it, you have in you an attraction of resistance. I have had it too! When I started out studying Chartered Accounting, I was told that it is one of the toughest courses in the country.

I was also told that I am not capable of doing it. My teachers and friends advised me to shift to something easier; shift to things I am good at, things I do easily and with little effort.

The resistance started building. It was not my teachers’ or friends at fault for my resistance because they were simply trying to help me be ‘me’. But, I was the one who wanted to prove. I wanted to prove ‘things’. So, resistance was built up. In fact, the resistance attracted more ways to get itself released but I kept it inside.

I am sure, there are many people out there resisting to things. Some of you might be feeling resistance against your job, some coworkers, some assignment, meetings, parties, behavior and let me tell you it has to be released. It has to be released as soon as possible so that you will merge with the flow of the universe.

How to release resistance?

Let me answer this by two quotes I found in ‘Ask and It is Given’
Your role is to utilize Energy. That is why you exist. You are an Energy-flowing Being—a focuser, a perceiver. You are a creator, and there is nothing worse in all of the Universe than to come forth into the environment of great contrast, where desire is easily born, and not allow Energy to flow to your desire.

That is a true squandering of life. There is no high work or low work. There are just opportunities to focus. You can feel as fulfilled and satisfied in any task as in any other, for you are on the Leading Edge of thought, and Source is flowing through you—no matter what your endeavor is.

You can be joyful at any endeavor where you decide to allow the Energy to flow. Spiritual versus material are not the choices. Everything about this physical, manifestational experience is spiritual. It is all the end product of Spirit. You have nothing to prove. Be the Spiritual You, and create like a physical fiend.

What’s our job in releasing the resistance?

It’s all about energy. We can be interested in something and uninterested in other. Simply speaking, if we are uninterested, we are resisting. There are a few simply ways to release resistance that should work.

1. Meditate - Meditation helps flow the energy around resistance. You can figure out what makes it uninteresting and let the energy flow.

2. Appreciation - When you appreciate, you let the energy flow in that channel. Appreciate and enjoy people who love doing things that you are resisting.

3. Forgive and love unconditionally - This is the answer to any problem in the universe. Send unconditional love and forgive people, thoughts, ideas and everything.

4. Accepting – This one comes from Mansi Trivedi. I am quite novice at accepting. How do I do it? Well, I guess one should mentally affirm and I accept this situation and am ready to move on.

5. Pure Intentions – Create pure intentions. Pure intentions are simple decisions and stability you gain about what you want. Suppose, you want to enjoy your job and your point of attraction is resistance, purify your thought to ‘I enjoy my job’ and that pure intentions will get attracted, releasing the previous vibration.

I need to release some resistance today. So, I read some stuff and found out how I could release it. There is one things I am sure. If you want to achieve something, manifest something, you got to release the resistance.

That is, scientifically speaking, release the negative vibrations and puff the space with positive ones. Photo by Alister Coyne via Flickr

Relive the New Year

Indians are unimaginable. We are a group of Hindu, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and many more, with even more bifurcations and yet, we all have this new year. Indians celebrate many calendars. According to the Hindu calendar, today is the first day of the new year and it starts at the base of it is a tradition that puts unconditional love, forgiveness and dreams in the hearts of Indians.

Every New Year, Hindus meet each other, forget the past, start relationships a fresh again, set new dreams, settle accounts, buy new stuffs, and all you would do to fall in love again.

I am quite biased as to how society is heading. The biggest draw backs is our EGO. When our hearts are filled with ego and anger, it is impossible to love unconditionally. It is impossible to start a fresh. We are stuck. The new year symbolises just that.

Before the beginning of the new year, you light lamps; symbolizing a hope, you fire crackers; burning off all the ego and hatred to make space for love. That's how you do it. Then comes the new year. You fill it with love and gratitude.

You add your flavour of colours, start a fresh again, in relationships, life, behaviour, situations, money and everywhere. If you can love unconditionally, forgive easily and be grateful peacefully, every day is a new year! May you all relive the New Year! Rangoli Pic by Nachiket Kapre

Celebrating a lifetime! I was one of the many souls that found life uninteresting. I used to think that celebrations are for general public.

I thought celebrating, shouting, firing crackers, laughing out loud and simply getting off the limit was not “human”. I was so sooo wrong back them.

Contradictory to what I though, celebrations are important. In fact, celebrating life is important. Everything is interesting. Everything has a story to share. If you finding something uninteresting, you are probably not understanding the joy of doing it.

Not just celebrations or things, I guess we can put this ideology to work in offices and studies and our day to day work and life. When I was in hostel, I had these tremendous fights with students in my dorm, in my class, my seniors. I was like a rebel! I couldn’t hold myself to even a tiny dose of pranks they played on me. In fact, the more I opposed, the more they played. I now realize they have taught me living. They are my best friends and teachers.

But that’s where I contracted a habit of pleasing everyone. When we are lonely, we seek company. When we are accompanied, we desire fulfilment. And fulfilment never arrives. Pleasing everyone got stuck in my stomach so badly, it virtually diseased my metabolism.

To please everyone means you are playing on both the sides and you aren’t even a referee. All you can do is sit outside in the audience, cheering the team that wins or the team you have sympathy upon.

I found my consequences. Pleasing everyone takes a lot of work. You have people to attend, listen to, obey to, respect to, and above all, they don’t really care that you care. You are, in fact, dead meat. Then suddenly, one day, they don’t need you anymore. They find you unimportant because you are not in their team. You are pleasing everyone. They are confused. They leave you off.

As we have exams approaching, I study with a friend. Today, he somehow got to teach me one of the most important lessons I’ve learned. It was a about speaking out!

You can’t please everyone all the time. You have to take a side. Every moment, we have to take a decision. That decision decides if it was taken for you or for someone else. You got to speak up for people you care. Sometimes, you got to speak up for yourself. You got to Speak Up!!

Speaking up is important. People who please everyone are mostly silent and lonely. They hate public because of the fear of pleasing them. Speaking up helps. Take a stand on what you really want to do and try to be what you want to be. Aditya Sharma is the teacher of the day.
