Thousands of species live in the Jambi Province.Forestry products,especially timber,is a major industry of province.the wild forests of Jambi are inhabited by tigers,monkeys,orang utan,rhinos,elephants deer and a multiude of birds and others creatures.There are two major protected forest in jambi Marga Berbak on the east coast covers an area of 190 000 hectares and Kerinci Seblat National Park with an area or 1 484 650 hectares.This larger park is the second most noted park in Asia in terms of species.

HOW TO REACH PROVINCE JAMBI

Getting to Jambi Municipality,the pronice's capital city,poses no problem.There four daily 60 minute flights from Jakarta and one hour from Batam island.Chartered aircraft are also availabke and it is recommended that advance booking are made.
Sultan Thaha Airport is only ten minutes drive from the city centere.To see more of the land,bus travel can be an interesting experience.it is four hours drive from Palembang and eight hours drive from Padang

The population of jambi Province was recorded more than 2,5 milion.Although the majority of people here are muslem,it's not uncommon to encounter Christians,Buddhists and Hindus as well The national Language,Bahasa Indonesia,is used throughout jambi but visitors will find that amongst Goverment officers,banks staff,travel and tourist agencies,as well as tertiary students,a good number who speak English,Outside the major centre,varios local dialects are used,but these are inevitably based upon the same "Bahasa Melayu"that is the core of our national language.

Jambi is one of Indonesia's provinces.Geographically,Jambi Province is located between 0.450 south latitude,and between 101.100 and 105.550 eastem latitude.it's total area is 53 436.52 sq.km and it's bordered by Berhala Strait,South Sumatra Province to the south,West sumatra Province to the west and Riau Province to the north.
Jambi Provinces is divided into 5 regencies and one municipality.These are Batang Hari with an area 11 130.5 s.km,Bungo Tebo(13500sq.km),Sarolangun Bangko(14200 sq.km),kerinci(4200 sq.km),Tanjung Jabung(110200 sq.km) and the Jambi municipality with an area of 306 square kilometres.
The topography of Jambi Province generally consist of plain areas and hills in the estern part,to mountains in the west crossing the Bukit Barisan Mountain range.mountainous areas are situated in kerinci Regency and small parts of Sarolangun Bangko and Bungo Tebo Regencies.

Jambi Provinces climate is tropical.The highest rainfall range from 2000 mm to 3000 mm per years with the highest falls in january.Temperature differences between day and nigth are small.The highest temerature is 33"Calcius(91"F),except in the hilly and montanious areas,including Kerinci,where it reaches only 21"C(68"F).Humidity varies from 75% to 90%
