Effective Friday February 7 2014 at 06:00, the James Bay Winter Road is open to loads with a maximum Gross Vehicle Weight of 55 000 kilograms from Moosonee to Attawapiskat.

Please drive with caution, as there is still heavy equipment working on the road. Ice capping is ongoing at various sections of the road.

Please be aware and use caution when approaching heavy equipment and water trucks. We encourage you to drive according to the conditions of the road at ALL TIMES.
