The successful British Actor has found a friend and advocate in trans-Atlantic star Simon Cowell.

A TV insider said: “Simon clearly rates him, so that fact has been noted in the States and he is being carefully considered.

It’s not the first time Corden has looked for a US audience. Last year we revealed James was Hollywood bound.

James Corden is reportedly in talks with ITV on a £6M TV deal.

The three-year, golden handcuffs deal would make Corden the third-highest paid ITV star behind Simon Cowell and Ant and Dec.

But Corden is also still in talks with BBC.

[ITV] claims James is now seen as “ITV1’s golden boy” after his World Cup Live show pulled in 300% more viewers than forecast.

An insider said: “James’ football show was a roaring success. ITV are desperate to get him on an exclusive deal. But he’s a canny businessman and will only accept if it’s worth more than Chiles’ £6 million over four years.”

The past year has already been financially lucrative for Corden, with The Sun reporting more than £760k in the bank.

That’s reportedly a whopping six-times more cash than the star had a year ago, despite several substantial purchases. Those include a new £2.5 London pad in Primrose Hill and £80k on a new Jaguar.

Frankly, we’re a bit miffed, as we love both James and Sir Patrick and in fact, say “shame” on both.

Mr. Stewart should never have gone on his tirade and rant, but Corden should also not have responded. Sure it’s tough to let a fellow actor stomp all over your honor, but it makes you look less like an idiot.

The Mail caught James Corden out for a spin in his new Jaguar XKR Convertible last month.

Corden was seen running errands in North-West London’s Primrose Hill, near his home.

James was spotted shopping for a new Porsche just last month, but looks like he decided to go with the jag instead.

Last Febreuary he told the Daily Mail

You can’t be too careful with convertibles, because the t*** factor looms very large. I’ve wanted a convertible for ages but I’ve been wondering, “Am I going to look like a flash berk in one?”

Not at all James, we think you look quite dapper.
