It should be an interesting job in that I'll be part of a new department that currently has two people the supervisor and one other person. We are working on revising the whole Manhattan line of supply chain management products to make them more user friendly. It is going to be a challenge but I am not one to shy away from that. I leave Bloomington for the last time next week. It will be sad to leave behind the place I have called home for the last two years. I have met many wonderful people and learned so much since walking in the door the first day of orientation. I am sure I'll be back since I am not that far away. The funny thing is that I am almost half way between the two universities I attended. Gainesville is about 5 hours away and Bloomington 8 hours. I hope to post a summary on my portfolio soon but I am currently in the process of finishing interviewing and packing to leave Bloomington next week. I turned in my capstone paper on Friday. I thought the student design competition poster session went well but unfortunately our team did not make it to the final round. It was really sad because we put so much work into this project. I did get a lot of comments from people after the one minute presentation of our project at the final round saying they thought our project belonged in the finals. We submitted our project as a note to UbiComp 2008. I won't know anything about the status of our paper until June.
