North Beach

Last weekend I manged to head out with Paul Pichugin to North Beach and boy did we have a blast. This is probably my most favourite photo of the year so far.

Its amazing the sorts of shots you can drag amount for a seemingly small bunch of insignificant rocks if you present them in the right way.

I waited for awhile to get this shot as I want there to be sufficient water in front of the rocks to create some motion, whilst a wave was also crashing onto the rock itself. As always patience pays off.

Hi Everyone,

Last night I caught up with Paul Pichugin and went down to North Beach as the rocks looked pretty awesome. When I got down there Paul was already tackling the waves and getting a soaking!

Not to be out done I jumped straight into the water as well and started to snap away. I’m really excited about this shot mainly because of the foreground. Its like a carpet of colour.

When I got home and saw this I just knew I had to work on it straight away as that foreground is just amazing.

Bennion Beach Blaze

Wow, oh Wow!!!! I came so close to not heading out tonight as I really didn’t think the sunset was going to be any good. How wrong was I? I decided to head out anyway to Bennion Beach, its a familiar spot and I feel grounded there.

I was trying out a few new in camera techniques, playing around when I saw the sunset start to really fire up. Well off to work I went and I was blown away at just how intense, insane and amazing the sunset was.

So glad I went out tonight!

Wow. What a crazy year 2012 has been already! I’ve managed to sell a few photos from the galleries that represent me and I’ve just done a trip to Dallas in Texas which totally blew me away, though I could’ve done without all the time in the air.

This photo was actually taken well over a year ago, and I’m not sure why I’ve sat on it so long as I really like it. Can anyone guess who it is in the photo? You know who you are so please don’t let the cat out of the bag.

Christian was just up the road when we were taking this shot and he wasn’t amused when he saw this shot as he’d never seen this beach like this before. Woo Hoo. We managed to CF.

Cottesloe Beach Colours

Ummm what more can I say? This had to be the best sunset of the year and for once I was there. I was there and I was fully loaded ready to capture what ever unfolded.

To have this mind blowing sunset unfold before me was the most amazing bonus. I couldn’t be happier.

The sunset was so intense that I had to desaaturize a lot of the reds in this photo.

Cottesloe Beach Clouds

What more can I say? I just love shooting Cottesloe Beach. Probably because I spent a lot of my youth there and there is probably some truth to the rumour that I may have undertaken one maybe two Sunday sessions at the nearby hotels.

What really struck me about Cottesloe on this particular day was the different levels and colours of clouds. It was like Pro Heart had just loaded up a paint gun and splatted the sky with white. !

Summer Days

Don’t you just love Summer days like these? When its been hot and humid all day and you just know that you’re going to see an amazing sunset?

I think we all do and of course the best thing about days like these are taking a quick dip in the water once the sun has set to cool down. I could spend hours down at the beach in the evenings just chilling out.

What about you? What is your favourite thing to do on a hot summer evening? After you’ve taken your photos of course.
