Hey bloggers & friends!
Its been a very long time since I last published my article, I guess its almost 2 years!!! Well what can i say, had to complete my college, projects, work and more! Phew! I Logged in today just to see whole lot of comments from you all which were not moderated so I published them first, because thats my first priority :P

Well guys there's a lot of house cleaning to do with my blog and also I got to get use to the new interface(didn't try it yet though), it can take a little time but hopefully I'll be back in a few days with some more good articles and try to catch up with you all. I was really happy when i checked the page rank for my blog which went up to 2! Really thank you guys for adding my blog to your's I'll definitely add yours as soon as possible.

Finally guys its adios' for a few days while i get my blog up and running!
I almost forgot !! Wish you all a very happy and successful New Year!

This is one day i cant forget, Woke up to hear the news that my dear friend was no more. We were one heck of a group and now we are "one less". We will all miss you ra Ramana.

I still remember the way you smile and walk and the fun we had when we were together and the "actually" word that you always repeat. I think of the days when we all used to leave school and every one used to look at us in awe, as we all wore badges on our chest, you were all captains and vice captains and i was the class leader, yet you never listened to me and i got fed up one day and went to sir to complain about you.!

You were one person who would sing the song that i used to hum in my heart and i used to be shocked as to how you did that.
One day we talked for so many hours that my mobile's battery got so hot that i was scared that my fingers would burn if i touched it! And the fun part about that was "we were arguing if light travels faster than sound" the whole time. You were one of the person who again forgot to wish me on my birthday this year. I wanted to scold you for not wishing me this year but how can i?

My last birthday with you was really weird, we all spent my birthday at Central book shop! and you actually forgot that it was my birthday that day! I got so angry that i didn't talk with you.!

Looking at you today brought tears in our eyes, your dad was trying to wake you up as you were lying there but you just wouldn't!

I still cant believe that your not with us, i still refuse to listen to my heart, i know you wont be here to read this and i still don't know why I'm still writing this. I really wanted to meet you soon after the exams but i never thought I'll be seeing you the way i saw you today.
I just wish life never took this cruel turn on you, life is really unpredictable and today i have seen it. Have so much to talk but you are not here, the one truth that we all have to live with from now on.

Rest in Peace my dear. We'll cherish every moment that we all spent together as best friends. Miss you ra. We all miss you.

What's up with the Google Folks?

It has been just weeks(almost 5-6) when Google updated PR. I came across a post at dailyblogtips regarding the same, many people claim about their PR being moved.

Well my PR is currently at 2 and how about you guys? Any changes in your PR?

I think we all have to keep an eye for the next Update, it can be unexpected just like the one 3 days ago.

The Federal Trade Commission is after Bloggers!!

Many blogger's out there have been enjoying "Money Making" by writing paid posts, affiliate links and the like. Now Guess what? The Federal Trade Commission(FTC) is going to bring strict rules against this issue!

Because of the scamming all across the Internet the new "FTC Regulations" will be up soon. These new regulations will put most of the small time blogger's out of business for sure!

Izea's PayPerPost program was one the targets of the FTC, we all know how payperpost has been generating a good income for many bloggers(including me) and also helps advertisers in promoting their products. But Izea defended itself as it requires a "Disclosure Policy" for the blogs which state that some posts(or all of them) are paid for.

So if a blogger fails to have a disclosure policy stating the same will be on the not-so-good side of the FTC. Guess what! Even the company will be held responsible for that!

The FTC says that the rules will be strict and will extend even to the practice of affiliate links! So blogger's I reckon you get your own Disclosure policy soon, I have got mine and I guess based on these new so called guidelines of the FTC, changes will be made even to that!

Hmm..There is this recession and now FTC, what next?

Well i wish FTC all the luck(as they need it) since they will have to deal with an ocean of blogger's!

There comes a time when all of a sudden our most liked websites like orkut, fackebook are down, sometimes it can be a problem with our own connection or the website might be down for everyone!

So now how can we figure it out? Well this website called "DownForEveryoneOrJustMe"(lives up to its name :D) is the answer.
Just visit the website and type in the URL of the website which you feel is down, it makes some scan and tell you if the problem is for everyone or just you!

Blogger Post Title Swap for SEO

Well guys its been a long time since my last post and here i am back with a well known hack for blogger which is used by me and most other bloggers for the sake of SEO.

Generally when you upload a blog template you would notice that in the search results for your blog post the result would appear as

BLOG TITLE | POST TITLE

But with a simple hack you can make it more search engine friendly. That is

POST TITLE | BLOG TITLE

Now all you have to do is go to the EDIT HTML in the Layout section. But before you do anything to the template code, as again its wise to back up the template, so that any mistakes can be corrected.

Now within the blog template code, search for the code which says

<title><data:blog.pagetitle/></title>

Now replace that code with

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == &quot;item&quot;'> <title><data:blog.pageName/> | <data:blog.title/></title> <b:else/> <title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title> </b:if>

Now Save your Template and its done!

This is possible if you use a website called PrivNote.

All you have to do is :

- Visit the site.
- Write a Note.
- Check the "Notify Me" (optional)
- Create Note and Copy the URL which is given.

Now you can post this URL via E-mail, Instant message etc.. Once the note is read, it gets "DESTROYED".

Are you creating a new blog? or Do you wish to change your default .blogspot.com to your own domain for free?

If the answer is Yes then .CO.CC is the best answer for you. You can create your own personal domain name(www.yourdomain.co.cc) for free. You can also register upto 4 domain this way without no additional cost.

You can register yourself at .CO.CC by clicking the link here. Now Type the Domain name which you want to register, if that domain is available then click Continue to registration.

Click on set-up and then Manage Domain. Now go to Zone Record and in the Host Column type the domain which you have registered.
for eg: www.example.co.cc
(**Don't forget to include the www)

Now in the Type select CNAME and enter its value as ghs.google.com

Done!

As we have set-up the domain, we now have to redirect the blogspot to the new domain. For this log in to your blogger account and go to Setting->Publishing. Here select the option Custom Domain.

Here select the one that says Switch to advanced settings now enter your registered domain(even here don't forget to include the www)

Enter the Word Verification and Save Settings.

In 48 hours you have your own new domain!

At last I finished my exams and now concentrating on improving my blog rank, this is my first post after my exams and i am very much excited.

Create a Link Exchange Form

Hi people,
Today I'll be telling you a simple way to create your own Link Exchange Form with ease. You might think that you have to deal with Text-Boxes, Buttons and all but you can do this without having any knowledge about HTML.

And did you know that you can create this form using Google Docs? That's right, you can actually create the form there. Follow these simple 6 steps...

Step 1:

So first open Google Docs.

Step 2:

Click New and then select FORM from the Drop Down menu. Now enter the name for the form and also a little description if you want to tell the visitor how to fill the form or something like that. You can see an example in the image below.

Step 3:

In the Question field enter URL, this specifies that the visitor has to enter the URL of his/her blog/website.

You also have a Help text area where you can tell the visitor to enter their URL.
Let the Question Type be as Text. Now tick(check) the box where it says "Make this a required question". This generates an error when the visitor leaves this field blank.

Step 4:

Now move to the 2nd Question in the bottom. If you don't have it go to Add Question in the top and select Text from the Drop Down. Repeat Step 3 but change the text in the question field to Title. If required tell the visitor what to do in that area.

Step 5:

Repeat the step 4 again and create Reciprocal Field where the visitor is required to enter the URL where he/she placed the link to your blog/website.

Save the form after all the fields which you need are created.

Step 6:

Go to More Actions from above and select Edit Confirmation. This paragraph appears when the visitor to your blog/website submits the form.

Now again to More Actions and select Embed. Copy the code and return to Blogger.

Create a new post and embed the code in the post. Now Publish the post.

You now have a professional Link Exchange Form!

Additional tip:

If you want to receive email notifications when a visitor submits the form, do the following.

Go to See responses which is just beside the More Actions and select Spread Sheet. Now on the top you can see a Share field. Click that and go to Set Notification Rules. Now

Check the options which say A user submits the form & Email-right away

How to be a BlueJacker?

Today me and my friends were just sitting in the bus returning home from college and suddenly one of them told me to switch on the Bluetooth. As soon as I did I received a message from "Bluetooth" which said "Hi"

I soon recognized that my friend had "BlueJacked" me.

I think you now understand how it works, So now what is Bluejacking anyway?
Well all I can say is "Surprising People", ya that's true! When you Bluejack people they are usually surprised thinking to themselves "What the heck? Where did i get this message from?"

Technically Bluejacking is the way you can send messages via Bluetooth, Not possible? Well yes it is(that's why we call it Bluejacking! Duh!)

Still a skeptic are we? Well I'll show you how you can do this on your own. But promise me not to get on people's nerves while doing so! And I don't take any responsibility for any physical damage done to your body by the person whom you BlueJacked!

Now as you have obeyed me, now get your bluetooth enabled phone and switch it on. (Don't worry i cant bluejack you from the computer :D)

Go to contacts and select the option to create a new contact, Now in the name field type the message that you want to send to the victim.

Eg: Hi Buddy, do you know that you are BlueJacked?
or something scary Like I CAN SEE YOU!!!

Now save it. Since your Bluetooth is ON, have your friend beside you switch on his own bluetooth. Now send the contact that you created to your friend via bluetooth. Now as soon as he accepts it he'll see a message from Bluetooth and the content will be the message that you sent.

Your friend has officially been Bluejacked! and now you can proudly call yourself a bluejacker. You can do this on a large scale if you are in a shopping mall many people tend to leave their Bluetooth ON.

For this work you either have to be paired with the device you want to send or the victim must accept it. Naive users tend to accept anything you send, so give it a try.

There are some software's available by which you can do this directly. But I wont talk about them here.

Fake Google website is No More!!

If you read my other article "Google Stolen", I think Google has taken action against the fake website and it is no longer available on the Internet. I tried to open it but to my surprise a website of "Lorem Ipsum" sprung up!

To those who haven't read the article yet, here is what happened, The website called Baradla.com actually copied the interface of Google. If you opened the site while it was still available, you would see the Google search engine loaded.

Well now all is well and hope there are no such fake websites trying to copy others and who might know that they might changed their domain to some other!

1) Magpie

Here in Magie you earn by tweeting advertisers campaigns, the ads which you will tweet can be any one of the following:

Trouble Posting HTML in Your Blog Post?

This is really a big problem using post editor of Blogger, unlike WordPress which allows you to to write in HTML Blogger does not allow you to.

You might have seen that when you insert a HTML tag in your post it wont be seen and worst case is that your whole blog layout might be tampered! This happened to me once when I accidentally put the HTML tag which made my entire sidebar slide beneath my posts! Ha ha..but I finally found a way to get rid of it.

Here is what you have to do:-

When you write HTML tag in the post editor you have to use values instead of tags. That is, you have to replace:

< with <
> with <

For example : If you want to display the break tag </br> you have to write it as </br>

But this is just for those who want to try it on their own, they most easy way is to use the website utility called Postable. Open the site and copy paste the entire HTML code in the text area provided there and click "Make It Friendly".

Uploading a New Blogger Template- A Complete Tutorial

Well guys i have seen many people around still confused on how you can actually upload a blogger template, so this is for all the newbies of blogger.

Installing a blogger template is really a piece of cake, you can either insert the traditional templates offered by Blogger(which are really very boring) or download some super cool templates from different websites which offer templates free of cost!

So lets begin our "Quest to install the Blogger Template"

Well Firstly you must know if the template you are using is a classic template or an upgraded template. It is recommended if you have an upgraded template installed, so in order to see which kind of template is installed just login to your blogger account.

Now just observe the dashboard, if you see Layout then you have an upgraded template installed, else if you see Template a classic template is installed. So if you see Layout as an option skip this step.

Steps to upgrade the template:-

Now in order to convert to an upgraded template click the Template option.
In the top you can see Customize Design, Click UPGRADE YOUR TEMPLATE. Now select any template from the below list.

Now this is the start of the actual Tutorial:-

So now that you have an upgraded template installed, you have to change your boring template to something more "beautiful and cool". So in order to do that first you have to download a "beautiful and cool" template.

You can find some good templates if you do a google search but let me make it easy for you by suggesting some websites where you can find good templates for your blog.

After you find a suitable template and downloaded it, come back to Layout Section of your Blog. Now click the Edit HTML on the top. Now before you install the new template its always wise to back-up your old template in case something goes wrong(Those annoying BX errors)

Before you install the template just read this tutorial on how you can back-up your widgets. This way you'll have all the widgets safe and you can install them back when you upload your new template. Read how you can Back Up Your Widgets.

Now click the Browse Button and select the template you want to install. After selecting click UPLOAD. You'll be warned that the widgets are going to be deleted, but since we have made a back-up of our widgets click Confirm and Save.

So its done, you now have a new and cool blogger template of your own. So in case you have any more doubts just leave a comment here. I'll be here to help.

Here is an important tool for all those people who are busy finding efficient tools to check the PR, back-links, Number of pages indexed by google, traffic rank etc..
