Life

Life has been meaningful till today. Ups and downs happened throughout everyone's life with or without any warning. When 'ups' are around, pretty sure almost everyone knows how to deal with it. When the 'downs' are around the corner, well, pretty much, if not most of the people, many do not or cannot handle it. The reason is pretty simple, humans are pretty pessimistic. Many has forgotten that it is not the 'ups' that will teach us but the 'downs' that has the ability to make us, mould us, teach us to be someone who will be able to experience the 'ups'.

We do not learn much when we succeed, it is just a mere recognition of what the 'downs' has done to us. When we fall, take heart and stand up, for it is the time to change, to learn, to adapt, to be optimistic, to ask Him to enter our lives. It is time time throw away all the doubts and to trust. Embrace His love. Embrace optimism. Embrace enthusiasm.

Love

Love, according to dictionary, it means 'an intense feeling of deep affection', Wiki says, it is 'Love is an emotion of strong affection and personal attachment'. The world say what love as what it is supposed to mean. The worldly meaning. Let's look at what does He say about 'Love'?

1 Corinthians 13: 4-7

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, itt keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Worldly meaning vs God's meaning. It was so easy to give in, to be confused. It's time to set the things right, set the focus of life right.

A prayer like this is always precious to our important people. Thank you, Joseph for sharing it.

iOS5 Pros versus Cons!

Indeed, it is a remarkable day, a day that iOS 5 was released!
So what's so good about iOS5?

oh yes, I am sure most of you are familiar with its function because everywhere has been bragging about it. Esp, www.apple.com/ios.

The functions are
1. New notification
2. iMessage ---> Similar to Black Berry Messenger
3. Newsstand
4. Reminder
5. Built in Twitter
6. Safari Reading Pane
7. Photo - Editable, can crop photos with iOS 5 too!
8. PC FREE! ---> Independence for all iOS devices.

With iOS 5, you no longer need a computer to own an iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch.

9. WIFI SYNC!!! This is the highlight of the iOS, now you can SYNC without a wire!
Every time you connect your iOS device to a power source (say, overnight for charging), it automatically syncs and backs up any new content to iTunes. So you always have your movies, TV shows, home videos, and photo albums everywhere you want them.
10. iCloud is the bomb too! You can to have a free XXX@me.com mail and 5GB online Storage with iCloud. It synces your photos, contact details, calendar and all to your mac (10.7.2), iPhones, iPads.

However, there are definitely glitches to it. Firstly, when u try to upgrade from iOS 4.3.3 or 4.3.5 to iOS5, you will or might face difficulties. Trust me, it's just annoying! I took freaking two hours to sort it out!

then, iMessage. Oh yeah, we already have whatsapp, and will iMessage better than that? Good question, after using it for half a day, personally I think whatsapp is definitely still better. let me tell you why, iMessage is incorporated with the Message, the normal messaging app. So whenever you type in someone's number/name, and that person's number is registered under iMessage, Message will turn into iMessage. cool, what if I want to send just a SMS instead? hmm. that could be a problem. You can only do that if iMessage is unavailable. So if you want to send sms while iMessage is available, I think you can't. Hassle.

Example, Advantage of whatsapp & iMessage, they are free.Advantage of SMS, the recipient will definitely receive the text whether they have access to internet or not while iMessage can only operate with internet. If A sends a 'iMessage' to B and B doesn't have access to internet, there, problem exist.

Personally, I think they should separate SMS and iMessage to avoid confusion. Well, nevertheless, iOS 5 is still definitely worth to upgrade!!

Now, it's time to sleep, and time to rush for my thesis!

When I started to count the blessings I have around myself, there are uncountable numbers of'em. One, two, three.... fifty... ninety.. and the list goes on and on.

Recently, I have just received a blessing, a blessing that's so unexpected and yes, I would never expect it. Praise God for that!

Actually, blessings are everywhere, it's just the matter of mindset, how one look at things around'em. For example, the sky. Have you ever appreciated the sky before? the sunset. the rain. the blazing warm sun. I am pretty sure most of us do not. We have been taking things for granted. We have been living a life of 'I', instead of 'You' or 'We'.

Human nature. It is inevitable. But it is never too late to start to appreciate things around us. Start to appreciate people around us, our parents, partner, friends, close friends, lecturers, opportunity. Even it might be the smallest/most trivial thing in the world, give thanks! You will realize how those small little change of mindset can change one's life.

I know this may sound funny, but give it a try!

Life in Curtin, Life as the chair of Student Council Curtin, a final year student who needs to finish his theses in two months time, an uni student who wishes who have a decent result. I always cried out to God and asked, 24 hours is not enough. I need 48 hours!

sigh, I guess since I am on this runway, I'll finish it, with honor. yes, with honor.

Exchanged Pride for Better Cause

"James, it's *** here, are you in campus now?"
"Yes, I am. Is there anything I can help you?"
"Can you come over to my office to meet COO and myself?"
"Sure, will be there in a moment."

There and then, I received a task. A task to negotiate on a pretty confirmed discontinued bus service to Curtin starting August 2011.

I knew, there's no way I can turn it down, the responsible, the will to strive the best for students. I took it. Not knowing how to deal with it and where it might end, yet, I agreed.

"Yes, I will try my best tomorrow."

In the morning, I..
"Good morning Mr ABC, I am James, president of Student Council Curtin University Sarawak. I am calling on behalf of Curtin University, could I meet you somewhere in the afternoon to discuss about why your company is discontinuing the service?"

It was arranged, a meeting at 2-3pm. I had to travel all the way from Senadin, down to Bintang, well, just HOPE I was able to negotiate with the management.

An negotiation. I thought it's as simple as that. I planned to go down alone as I thought, speaking to a elder Miri guy, a Miri boy can do it. I appreciated one of my councillor, Gen very much. She just volunteered and tagged along. Well, it's always better to go in pairs, cause you've someone to back you up!

Initially, I spoke to the Assistant Manager, explained why we are here, what's the issue that caused the bus to stop the service, is there any possibilities or options to explore on to resume/continue the service?

I was directed to the General Manager after a while. Woow, when I entered his office, I was totally taken aback by the canon bombardments. Heck! I was thinking, what is wrong? Why is everything happening all of the sudden? The bombardments went on for quite a while till I realized, he thought I am a CURTIN STAFF! Hence, I made clear myself, I AM A STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE and I am a Da** Local Mirian. Praise God, that I saw a change of attitude in speaking, I sense sympathy from him. and in the end, before i left, I threw few requests and he agreed to reconsider it and will get back to me in few days time.

YES! Mission Accomplished-The initial aim was achieved, to get them to reconsider while SC will do our best to assist them.

Everything come with a price, even though negotiation went pretty positive. The pride, my pride was greatly hurt. Being scolded for nothing, yet I had to swallow every single bit of it and not to spit a thing. Sigh, this is life. Sometimes just have to trade in pride for something better. For the bigger picture.

I sincerely hope that this will turn out well.
It's the second week of uni and I feel like it's the 1234513123123th week. Stress gauge is high!! By His grace and blessing, I will pull through...

Anticipating more stress coming, I believe I have unique ways of releasing stress. Just, I will never succumb to the norm.

Add another big figure to Apple’s list of accomplishments in the world of smartphones and tablets: the company has approved half a million apps for its mobile platform iOS.

Apple has not officially announced the figure, and the number of apps you can actually download and install is considerably lower due to some apps being pulled or rendered obsolete. But if you strictly count the apps Apple has approved so far, the number is a little more than 500,000.

To honor the occasion, three companies specializing in iOS apps – game-maker Chillingo, app search engineChomp and app blog 148apps – have created an infographic highlighting some of the most interesting figures related to the vast ecosystem of iOS apps. According to their data, there are 85,569 unique app developers; the most popular iOS app is Angry Birds, and 37% of iOS apps are free, while another 29% of all apps cost only $0.99.

The numbers are impressive, considering the App Store launched less than three years ago, in July 2008, with a meager 500 apps.

Sand Philosophy

Beach. It is one of my favorite hang out place; its breeze, salty air soothe and blow away all my worries, stresses.

Path, just as what was mentioned in the previous post, when you've chosen a path, we need to make sure the goal lying ahead is what we want or similar to it. Well then, the types path taken are not a big deal; regardless the condition of the road, there is no choice but to finish it.

Make a stand, choose your own path. and Walk on it.

At times, you will reach beaches. Try to scoop the sand with both hands and notice the sand will slowly slip away if the palm is not placed properly or your squeeze the sand with too much force.

Then, when you plan to scoop back the exact same sand from the previous scoop, it is impossible. It's either too much, too little or there'll other sand than the first scoop.

It will never be the same.

Think about it.

Imagine all the sands represent our life's small/big matter, friendship, everything that we have in our life.

When we do not handle them properly, squeeze them with too much force - relationship (impose too much restriction on the other half) or over strict towards subordinates or siblings, they slip away sooner or later.

At the moment when you realize they are fading/slipping away, it's too late. Because if you 'scoop' them back, they will never be the same anymore.

So, take everything to moderation. If you have disagreements with a friend, let disagreements be positive disagreements but lead not to arguments.

Finals are near. I seriously need more hours a day!

James. Why did you lose faith? Why did you waver? Why did you waver so much?
I do admit, at times, I take certain matters too much to hear yielding the initial goals to be shifted away.
At this crucial moment, I asked myself, “James, what is your goal? What is your INITIAL goal? and Why is it wavering?”
I ponder about it. The answer to it was, the added additional goal. It wasn’t wrong. It’s just created priority turbulence.
All these reminded me something. and a few questions pounded in my heart.
“JAMES WHY are YOU LOSing FAITH?!”
”What WERE your original GOALS?”
After days of struggle and searchin’, I found some truth. Some truth that sets be aback, some truth that puts me back to the ground 0.
Truth that sets my heart back to the reality. Back to myself. Back to the stanards
When I close my eyes, so many things that happened for past few years burst out of my mind, then I recalled why the boundaries were set initially, what they were meant for.

Paths.

There you make a choice. I have made mine. People used to say, James, your university life isn’t complete if you this.. that.. if you don’t this.. don that… Screw it… I will be different.

You came in and slept in the living room whenever you find time to come in during tuition. You are so mischievous that its beyond comprehension.

Yet, you are growing, growing to be more and more obedient, more understanding than before.

A vehicle. A reckless drive. The combination of both took its life away. With a shriek, bang, its life was taken back to the Lord.

Pythagoras, you are gone, but the memories will live on.

Perfume! A year ago, I was struggling between DKNY and Body Shop. In the end, I stick to my soap’s smell I didn’t buy both. The reason is simple. It was not a necessity.

And today I stepped foot into Parkson. Parkson!!!? What does Parkson have after the cinema is closed? Practically Nothing! I thought a month ago. Well, sometimes it is not too much about what’s THERE but the people, the atmosphere. only better walk-and-see place in Miri.

But yeah! I went there with a good friend for pre-travelling shopping. I dropped by a corner and discovered this! ( actually my friend introduced it)

Easter Day? or The Day Jesus was resurrected?

Yes! it’s Easter day today! Easter Sunday falls two days after Good Friday.

Let me share with you what Easter Day is all about…

Easter day is not about Easter Egg, about the chocolates egg, gifts in the egg, it’s nothing to do with these commercialized gimmicks, but it’s the day to remember that Jesus Chris was crucified and on the third day he was resurrected. Easter Day is about Jesus’ Resurrection.

So, what has Easter Day or Jesus’ Resurrection got to do with us in this era?

This day, this unique day reminds us that Jesus died on the Cross for all of us to cleanse our sins and it’s for a greater gift to be rained down onto us.

John 16: 7-11 says,

⁷ But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. ⁸ When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: ⁹ about sin, because people do not believe in me; ¹⁰ about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; ¹¹ and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

And the advocate the scripture is referring to is none other than the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, it’s a reminder that, hey! God has given us a gift that’s far more precious that any silver and gold on the surface of the globe. Just take heart, and remember the day. Today.

Today, during the sermon time in Church, few questions from the Paster struck me in the heart.

As we all know, the Sarawak Election has just passed. Ubah, Change, all these words still ring in our head. Change. Improvement.

Just ponder about these questions

“What is your real concern for the politics?”

“Is it Malaysia that WE are concerned about?”

So, What ARE YOU concerned about? Your own RICE BOWL? Children’s future or is it Malaysia?

Dear readers, I believe the day God was raised up shows that God is Love. The best way to convey this love is to channel back to our country, don’t migrate to overseas because we believe in Him. Stay in Malaysia, and make a difference.

April Jazz–Politics, dinner and long lost friend

In the midst of meeting with Curtin Management,

**Ring Ring**

Zahir:” excuse me.” He hurried out of the room, discussion went on and when he came back, he said

“Sir, I was informed that the prime minister is coming tomorrow and we are expected to mobilize some of student”

There we go, I received work order, order to be as the crowd for the arrival of Prime Minister.

Last minute confirmation, reassuring, meeting, job delegation and all. It was LAST MINUTE!

So many things happened simultaneously, so many things, external complaints, internal management, management, now, the stress is building up, Final Year Project, stress from Academic is increasing. Final year student. Oh well…

Meeting the PM ~~is really~~ isn’t something that special after waiting for hours for him and we were given a face. A face that says, “ughhh..” Unappreciated, utterly disappointed. OH WELL!

Then, out of the blue, a lady approached and asked,

“Are you a Mirian?”

“Yes, I am.”

“Oh, that’s wonderful! Are you an eligible voter?” **Pound**

“I have registered but I am not eligible to vote yet”

“Great! Can I ask you a few questions?”

***Video Cam flash lighted up***

Stunned by the glare.. I continued.. I answered the entire question as a Mirian.

“Sure.”

“What attributes are you looking for in a leader?”

“Erm, I think he or she must be close to the citizen, must be responsible and must be able to speak fluent English”
“What do you think the government should do to get the young voters?”

When I heard this, I told myself, it’s my chance! It’s time to state something!

“Firstly, I think the land title issue is very crucial in Miri. If that issue can be settled, I bet they can get all the votes. Besides that, about the infrastructure, hmmm, fix the road. If the road can’t even be fixed, don’t talk about other things. As far as we all know, the roads here are very bumpy. ”

“If you are to compare KL with Miri, what facilities that you think should be added to improve Miri? For eg, more universities?”

“Erm… I think more funds should be channeled to Curtin University Sarawak to build more facilities and buildings. If this can be done, it’ll very good.”

“Thank you very much. Can I have your full name?”

“I am James Chai, President of Student Council Curtin University.”

What an interesting and impromptu interview experience.

Young people I urge all of you to start to know more about what’s happening around us. Start to think that being able to vote is not just a privilege, nor an opportunity, but it is OUR RESPONSIBILITY! Use the vote to decide for improvement or change.

Abandon the ignorant thinking about voting such as, it’s just one vote, what difference can I possibly make? NO! You are wrong! Every difference starts in us, the ripple effects can go on and on and influence others. Every VOTE counts in every election. Therefore, for those who is more than 21 years old, just go to the nearest post office and register yourself as a voter. The process is fairly simple, you just need to photocopy your ic and it will take your 5 minutes only. So, take the responsibility!

Ever had the feeling of aching in your heart before? Some have it cause' of heartbrokenness, ditch by the partner, flunked a subject, failed to accomplish something.

None of these occurred to me at this instance.
Inability to VOTE gives me the heartache. I am 22 years old and yet I failed to be an eligible voter at this time of crisis. Mixture of feelings stormed into my mind. Unexplainable.

Change VS Improve

Which of this does SARAWAK people need? A whole new level of change? or just improving our current state only? Improving the facilities, systems, and everything else?

Yes, personally I acknowledge what the politicians have done for the people. But don't you think the people is bored of the leadership now? We need a change.

Improvements COME after CHANGE!!! Therefore, young people, young voters, each and everyone of you bear the responsibility of deciding the fate of our dear country. We have the ability to make A DIFFERENCE!

First off, I want to say Happy Chinese New Year to all of you!! It’s just hours from the first day of CNY. But what does this festival really mean to you?

Some said, it is about fire crackers, some said it’s about new clothes, shoes and new vision, some even say it’s just a festival, a festive season for friends to meet up, for family members to gather together once a year, for lovers/friends to reconcile, or it’s just another holiday to rest, to get away from the busy working life. So, What DOES THIS Chinese New Year really mean to YOU?

For myself, it is the time when I can get back to Sibu to meet my relatives, to have everyone in the family to sit down and dine together, unfortunately without my dad, for good. Still, life goes on. Other than that, it’s just moments for friends to meet up and mingle. About reconciling, I think some things are meant to be left hanging, to be left unsettled because there is no need to settle it. Right?

When we are born into this globe, a path is more or less set for us to walk. It is our choice to follow it or not, or to create another path so that when people sees us, they see US, not the path created for us. It’s a choice to be made. Everyone is treated differently, depending on social status, academic results, networking skills, how charismatic you are, or just base on anything others like about you. Unexplainable. As young people, whenever we see a path, walk on it; when no path can be found, walk out a path. Let nothing stops us and do not let our pride/ego slow us down. Time is insufficient. I’ve been slacking for four years, or more, really, I need a breakthrough. I really do.

As usual, I woke up, dragged my feet to the bathroom. Trying to wake myself by allowing water to rinse my face.
A cup of warm milo as the start of the day.
Drove past the snail-like cars, snail-like busses, jaguar like pick-ups. and there I reached my destination.

I slept. On the driver seat. I couldn't remember how long I slept...

Half awake, I heard.. buzzz.. buzzz...
buzzzz...

I continued sleeping. I couldn't care less.

Buzzz... Buzzz.. Buzzz.... BUZZZZZZ

This time, I finally woke up. Finally woke up and found that there's a FREAKING BIG HUGE BEE on my dashboard. Trying its very best to fly out, but fail attempt. I quickly ran out cause, hehe, bee and I don't get along really well.

How the heck can the bee get into the car while I only open a bit of the winder? I wonder. It's a miracle it didn't sting me.

When I reached the office, I realized I did not bring my phone. Oh wow, what a careless me. I rushed back home, got it and drove back and found myself no free carpark. Then I decided to double park, and leave a note on my dashboard.

Day 2

It started with…

DAWN!

***random robotic sound***

It was my alarm clock. Gosh, it’s time to wake up. The first thing I did was, grab my phone and dialed two numbers. Joseph and Moses. Two very precious brothers whom I’ve kept in touch since primary school. Called’em to make sure they were awake, cause’ we’ve got a devotion to lead. We were just in time for devotion. and, reaching Curtin in 10 mins is not impossible =p

Frankly speaking, when I read through the passage/devotion, I was stunned, that was my very first time encountering such a topic in a youth morning devotion!! Part of me started complaining, and the other part of me started focusing on God and tried to come back to Him. and yes I did. the complaining part of me shrunk and the focus was solely on Him.

Then, it went on according with the schedule...

P&W, Theme talk, games preparation and there, a session for the advisors/helpers.

It was a session led by Brother Michael William.

One interesting fact from him was that, whenever a youth listens to music, he/she listens to key word only, not the whole song. probably let’s say, ‘Just the way you are’, what we heard is JUST THE WAY YOU ARE! Get it?

The games was really unexpected, cause the raining really messed up the plan. but, God always has a better plan eh? so, out of 7 games, we managed to play 5 games!! tho, it’s pretty messy at times. haha but, well done Joseph!

Something happened that day, a question from a group member, struck me hard, real hard…

Tabitha, she asked, “Why you are always not there during the activities one?”

This question, it got me to think. I started to ponder, “what is my purpose what is my role as a helper? Is it just come in, prepare games, show face, talk a few sentence and go back to normal life?” NO WAY! That is definitely NOT the way it should be, being a helper is about impacting life. Setting an example, a model for them. Recently, Joseph shared, he was touched by a senior in youth convention way back then, not by his word, but his attitude. so, having a right attitude can influence one as well. so, what she asked me actually reminded me what I intended to do initially. I went on to share with the Jo & Mo and encouraged ourselves to press on towards that target.

After years of waiting, anticipating, finally the honor and burden of hosting YC has finally fallen on GMC's shoulder.
A brief description about YC. YC is a bi-annual camp that gathers youths from English speaking Methodist Churches all over Sarawak for a 4 days 3 nights camp. Usually it is held in National Service Camp but this time, it is at Curtin University!! Praise God that we have invited Ps. Dr. Herbert Tan, a missionary full with passion all the way from Kuala Lumpur.

There, there, it began..

Day 1...

Very reluctantly, I tried to wake up - 8.00 a.m. I failed. I went on sleeping. Suddenly a very familiar ringtone woke up me.
"hey! What time did av said to meet up in Curtin?"
half awake, I answered.
"9 something eh, anybody there yet?"
"no."
"i think they are going there, you wait a while lo.."
"ok."

I lied down and continued sleeping...
After don't know how long, I opened my eyes, looked around. I thought, this doesn't look like 9 a.m. Quickly I grabbed my phone and the clock showed, half past nine. Darn! I am LATE!!

I took a shower, grabbed the camera bag. I Rushed to University.

After half an hour,
I arrived at the Rec. Hall. The youths just finished practicing, well, they want to give their very best to Him. When I went to the registration area, some churches already arrived. There, I started my duty as a helper by leading them to their hostel.. I couldn't recall how many times I have walked to and fro to the hostel.

First day was pretty much of trying to know each other… much more coming up NEXT!

part 2

The sun, it was hanging HOT in the middle of a noon, mercilessly, its heat scotched the earth and as well as the poor members of ASAP. We spent hours distributing and placing flyers at EVERY curtin carpark. 900 flyers, they weren’t enough to fulfill the purpose. It was 10-1pm.

Expected. Soon, I received a complaint regarding, “ Why can they put flyers on people’s car? It is against the constitution.” I was expecting it, honestly, receiving complaints has become a norm to me. I got questioned when I approached the Returning officer, he asked, “I heard you people put flyers at carpark right? You do not need to go to that extend. So from tomorrow onwards, please don’t put flyers at car parks anymore.”

What the heck. This is something I least expect him to say. Finally, I held back no more, I argued. “Sir, we are 8, and we are competing against 20. We know we will lose out if we do not work hard, so in order to compete with them each of us have do 2.5x of work compare to them. (2.5x8=20) So, sir, instead of complaining, we chose to work hard, double up our effort in order to compete with them. Why are you stopping us when we want to go further? This isn’t fair. They should work harder instead of just keep on complaining.”

Honestly, I was pissed. really pissed.

Complaints

We got complained because we missed to stamp a form.

We got complained because we used name tags of our own party.

We got complained because we stick curtin logo’s stamp on a paper on our banner.

We got complained because we have good designer.

We got complained because our posters are creative.

What the heck. Now I do understand why some countries never improve. Instead of rewarding those who earnestly strive to the highest, the hardworking ones got controlled, so that they will not leave others ‘too’ far behind. Well, this is the world we are facing now no?? Sigh. some people are just pathetic.

The reason I did not post this last few months is cause the issue was still ‘hot’.

“who the heck is calling in the middle of my dinner?” I thought.

Reluctantly, I went and picked up my phone.

“Hi, I am Jaski, I am running for Student Council Election and I wonder if you are interested to run with us,”

Silence. I was in deep thought. Student Council? No way, I am going into fourth year and it’s gonna be tough for me. How about just give it a try? But..

“hello, are you there? is it alright for you?”

“owh, oh, i am here. Sorry, Yes, that’d be awesome. I am joining.”

“Then later please come to my place at 10.30pm for an urgent meeting.”

*tu……*

It all began, just like that. Honestly, I thought of forming a team and run for it few months ago but when the workload started to pile up, you know, you just don’t have the mood to think about it.

Firstly, our party was named ALL STUDENTS’ ACTION PARTY – ASAP. Pretty catchy eh? Credits go to Zahir for his creativity. ASAP can be associated with “A seriously Awesome Party”, “As soon as possible” and many more. So other than being an acronym, it has many other meanings at the same time!

Initially, we had 20 strong and committed people in the team, but, life isn’t a bed full of roses. Soon, we found out there are 9 of us who were on “conditional status”. Conditional Status means he/she failed an unit last semester and to get rid of that annoying status, one must pass all units in a semester.

Thanks to the STATUS and the pressure from a specific person, 9 of us got kicked out, including the former president. Disappointed, shocked, we tried to fight for it, to prove that conditional students CAN be a good leader but to no avail. Disappointed AGAIN, because some said if the team is not running, it’s pointless for us to compete with 11 people against 20 people. I accepted the thought after a while, thinking, if the one who gathered us wasn’t running, what’s the point? We were there because of her.

First we were told that we could find others to replace the 11 but for then for some reason, we weren’t allowed to. and we were forced to run with the rest only. then Three more people decided to pull out. so we left 8. At one point, even I thought of quitting. Two ladies from the group told me that they still want to continue running even though we are only 8. It was decided, we ran for it despite any challenges that might occur. I took up the role which I’ve never thought of, President role.

The new team was formed a day before the campaigning week, so, basically no banner, no posters, we only had our logo.

There, the campaigning week began.. It started without any campaigning materials and just a logo. Stay tuned for more details/photos next time!

Midnight Thought

Dear readers, after disappearing for such a long time, it’s been a while since I last posted, photos, stories, people, and more!! Stay tuned! Winter Break Part 2 is coming! and more updates from me!!

I want to share something with you all, the reason I withdrew myself from most of the social networking websites, Facebook, Blogging, msn or skype, I was hurt. One thing piled up after the other, each of them hurt so much. Disappointments, depressions passed me by.

I am a typical guy who doesn’t admit anything even though it hurts, trying to pretend tough. Ain’t so tough after all. *chuckles*

Speaking of healing, firstly, one has to admit he or she is hurt. If they do not accept the fact that there is a spike that needs to be taken away,how and on what ground can the healing that we are speaking take place? By not admitting, it is hidden inside and it will manifest and infest the life. Jeopardy.

Imagine, by starting to admit, it’s like you started to try to push it off the edge, Slowly, you push, push and push, and it falls off the edge, it’s gone. Healing has taken place.

Winter Break 2010 – Part 1 – The People

Semester ended in the midst of FIFA world cup, people who does not watch football matches like me started to follow up with the latest news via www.fifa.com match cast and via LIVE CAST!! Semester break means meeting up with people! This time I did not fly to KL like what I used to do before. It’s about, people!!

My friend’s family owns Senda Shabu-shabu and this is like my SECOND time there only. haha. The food there is not bad, it is located somewhere near Courts Mammoth. So, do try it out! :)

After all the food, football, Baileys, it’s time to burn away some calories… It’s quarter past six when I reached the stadium, the air was so refreshing, so fresh that I feel like I could sleep on the track. hahahaha. Btw, yeah, after years of not sprinting, the stamina has really gone down the drain, I warmed up, did some drill, and started sprinting 150m then 100m. At first, I felt like vomiting and when the nausea went off, my calf muscles started to cramp. what the heck man. So after years of not keeping up to sportsperson’s standard, my stamina is really like a ‘sissy’. But, I enjoyed running back on the track again. In fact, I am going to get back what belongs to me. I love sports.

Anyway, I am hoping, really really hoping that Paul the octopus is wrong this time!!!! Owh, what is Paul the octo? It is an octopus that predicts every Germany match. and yes, Germany is playing against Spain in 45 mins time, and the octo predicted that Spain will win. I hope Germ aka kuman will win 2-1 against Spain. They deserve it.
