Some things i learned about life..

2010-03-26T06:48:00.000-07:00

Some of the things i learned about life..
Life is not just about having everything in your hand
i mean the material things that money can buy.. Life is more than that.
It's all about relationships and people that you touch those smiles can touch one's heart.
Live in such a way that you will face God today and plan as if you will live for a long time.
We need to feed our souls, our spirit apart from feeding our physical bodies.
Like our bodies we also need spiritual, emotional and mental nourishment.
So we need to spend our time developing our whole being God himself lived a balanced life. so develop what we can. Remember that the biggest room in the world is the room for improvement.
Giving is receiving. whatever that is on your hand right now is temporary only the things that you sow to other people, love ones will last so make the most out of every situation. traveling light is a wise choice. I have been a hoarder myself and i know how it feels to have so many things and buy too much stuff that i don't even need. i'm learning to discipline myself to travel light because anyway these things won't matter. it's good to have only if you will use them.
Say kind words as much as you can. if you can't say nice things about people or about situations before saying anything think before you even utter a word or write it down in a journal ( having a journal and writing it to God is very therapheutic it's like having a love letter everyday telling him your thoughts, blessings and even dissapointments) . (it doesn't mean you suppress your feelings but you balance your emotional energies with logic ) you think, How would this person feel if i say this and that? ( so choose your words wisely) although at some point some people are too insensitive to understand what you want to tell them so better to forgive them and forget.
Don't wait for memories to happen create them everyday. Be creative make someone feel special. I know it's not a perfect world and we're all not in a perfect mood all the time but as much as you can spend less time focusing on your needs and spend more time on others needs, maybe you can feed a need today ,a need of approval or a need to be listened to.
So let us live everyday as if it was the last.
Thank God for everyday and ask Him to lead you to live a great and meaningful life.
We have a choice it's a matter of mindset and perspective :)

Visiting Baler :)

2010-03-21T22:39:00.000-07:00

The place is great getaway from the hustle and bustle of the metro and it's a certified surfer friendly waves.
waves are so high, seafood is really cheap we got a yellow fin tuna for p80 bucks
for a big one.
The nacho's in Bay's inn is a must try plus the yummy shakes are so smooth on the toungue hmm yummy. I recommend the choco banana shake great for the beach.

The food where we ate near the bay they call it Bay's Cafe is really really good and i must say it's also relatively cheap.
we stayed at anggara's hotel it's also beside the Bay's cafe i think the owner is the niece or nephew ( if i'm not mistaken.
The sand on the beach is quite dark so never leave your slippers walking in the beach and wash it after.
although going there you'll pass on a rocky roller coaster ride. super rocky so better to bring a pick up because the car might not be able to take it..

Been a long time some notes for today..

2010-03-21T05:13:00.000-07:00

It's been a long time since i haven't updated my blog.
This year has been really great so far.
thankful to God for the many blessings, friends, work and rest.
lately i've been watching local food shows of qtv11 The secrets of the masters and Secret confessions, too bad heny's kitchen is not airing there anymore. it's really been helpful, i coudn't say that i'm a good cook but i try whenever my schedule allows or let me rephrase it to whenever i make time for it. FOCUS is what i wanted to learn this year coz i get so bugged up with a lot of things that i wanted to do that's going on my head. whew!!

Just today after church i re- watched the pursuit of happyness and it never fails to move me to be grateful of whatever we have and to learn how to help and appreciate people because that simple smile or pat in the back may change the persons life. I loved how Chris Gardner face his diversity with greatness. Something that we really need to work on ourselves including mine. determination, Perseverance, strong will, Hardwork and Faith.

It's good to be home on a sunday watching dvd's, pampering yourself at home and
reading a good book.

What a relax sunday. w
we'll cook tuna pasta in a bit.
till my next blog :)

ford house the automotive legacy

2009-11-18T05:26:00.000-08:00

Before i left Michigan i just have to make sure i went to the right places. well i have to say that my Ford trip gave me a new perspective on How the Rich and the Famous in america dominated the Money and Auto Industry.
I've also learned about their fears for instance
the grandmother of Josephine the daughter of Ford the second gifted her with a House about 260 square meters. that's actually a real house for us to live in but it was just for the purpose of playing there, they never let the child play on her own because they're afraid that they might kidnapped her since they are a well known and rich family. another thing is i've learned about the Ford's generosity that being a ford employee entitles you to be a heir.
wow!! A heir of their riches, a piece of their property or maybe a lump sum money for your service
and that the Ford house is donated by the Fords to the public for the Public's interests. Imagine working all your life for money then in the long run giving it to the public instead of enjoying it selfishly.
Well i hope we all think that way or in that matter maybe the rich ones will. everyone i think is rich in one way or another we just have to look beyond the paper.
Oh here's something i want you to see. some photos from the Ford house in troy michigan.

P.s.Enjoy!!

The Now

2009-02-27T13:01:00.000-08:00

We live by the now of our lives
Enjoy every phase of your life for you'll never know when the music ends
When the memories fade
When the laughter become tears.
Time flies so fast and the only constant thing is CHANGE.. transition, whatever you may call it.
You meet the people you are with now for a reason either to carve a memory in your heart or to help you find your reason and meaning in this called LIFE.
Enjoy the journey for you may only pass it once..
Just once..
Stop thinking about what other people will think about you, you are who you are in it's original and unique form God made you.
What's important is what you have now not what you've lost before..
Stop searching for answers of what is yet unknown.
You cannot force the buds when it's not yet ready to bloom.
that's why there are seasons.
Every season has it's purpose and meaning.
You only live by the day , by the moment ,by the hour, by the NOW
The things that hurt us are sometimes created by our own imagination not by other people.
We have a choice to Choose what we hear , We feel, We see, We think and say..
Enjoy the now of our lives for will never know when it's already over..

What Interests me..

2009-01-06T17:41:00.000-08:00

It doesn't interests me what you do for a living
I want to know what you ache for
and if you dare to meet your heart's longing

It doesn't interests me how old you are
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love
for your dream for your adventure of your life.

It doesn't interests me what planets are squaring in your moon
I want to know if you've touched the center of your sorrow
If you have been opened by life's betrayals
or have become shriveled and close from fear or further pain

I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own,
without moving to hide it, or fade it, or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own;
if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy
fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes
without cautioning us to be careful,
be realistic and remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true.
I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day.
And if you can source your own life from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine,
and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, ‘Yes.’

It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair,
weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children.

It doesn’t interest me who you know or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back.
It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself
and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.”

Dear God..

2008-12-15T02:50:00.000-08:00

Dear God,
The year is nearly ending and i can't thank you enough for all the blessings as well as the not-so nice things that happened to me the past year, 2008 was tough ,challenging and at the same time thrilling.. it moved me to a deeper relationship with you. I thank you for helping me get through it.. For keeping me company when i feel so alone, for just being my strength when i feel like giving up, for cheering me up when i'm sad , for teaching me to believe when i don't see anything tangible. For just accepting me again even if i ran away from you in the past.. You really love me so i'm really grateful for that.. unconditional love..you gave me..
Thank you for my family , friends, things and everyone else that you use to make me hope for a brighter and better days and year to come. thank you also for all the travels. and thank you for the Visa for next year it was such a great gift. You prove to be the Best Dad, Best God, Best Friend and Best Everything that i could asked for..
God,I just wanna say that I LOVE YOU.. and Thank you again.. I know that you have the best plan for me for the days to come and i trust that you will continue to take care of me and bless me and use me for your greater glory.

Love,
Jane Lacap
