Janet Collection is proud to present a Hair Seminar on Monday, November 16, 2009 at Embassy Suites Detroit-Southfield.
The seminar will be moderated by celebrity stylist Phil Beautiful. A designer of outstanding styling ability for over ten years, Phil has work published in numerous publications, including The Source, Vibe, and XXL.

NOTE: Seats at this event are limited to 100.

SEMINAR DETAILS: 3-hour workshop with the artist demonstrating net weaving and answering questions regarding hair trends, tips, styling for customers with hair loss, thinning or chemotherapy patients. Bonus demonstration on Front Lace wig application and maintenance.

Stylist Bio:
Phil Beautiful specializes in lace front wigs, all types of weaves, long as well as short hair, and the "razor-cutting" technique, the later of which requires immense skill and precision. In fact, his expert skills in cosmetology have positioned his work to appear on Bravo, MTV My Super Sweet 16, and the David Banner and Shop Boyz video to name a few. However, Phil's passion is working on location for videos, photo shoots, and movies.
Phil explains, "I start to deep condition the mane from the very first shampoo. My services, first and foremost, are designed to achieve and promote a beautiful, healthy mane."

We've been on YouTube for some time as Janet Collection TV, hoping to reach you via video as well as let you reach us the same way. We've posted videos from our end. Now we'd like to see yours. It doesn't matter how you make a video; whether you have a high-end camcorder, cellphone camera, web-cam, or slides made from your stills, we welcome you to share your style preferences with us.

All you have to do is click on the video response button located below the YouTube player on any of our videos and use any of the options to record or upload video. We'll also link to your video responses so readers can view them right here on our blog.

What kind of video response are we looking for? Well, whatever comes to your mind, except for nudity, graphic language, and hate speech - you know the deal. Simply, if videos you post offend others, they will be removed.

Some random ideas we can think of: an original song, a monologue, poems, rhymes, inspired free performance, a talk show, a visit to your favorite place - be imaginative. If you're a hairstylist who uses Janet Collection, or would like to, show us a sample of your hair styles and include your name, store location, and contact information in the video so viewers can come visit you.

If you'd like to model for us, let us know with your video and why you'd be a perfect Janet Collection model.

Janet Collection blog is now at Blogger. The reason for the switch is to have more control over our material in relation to our website and media materials, as I'll be periodically posting.

Blogger and Feedburner's partnership also made it easier (it has been even before the partnership) for you, the reader, to subscribe to this blog, either by email or RSS feeds. Not familiar with RSS feeds or how to read them on your browser? Not to worry, read this tutorial/article for a better understanding of RSS feeds. I personally use Google Reader to read all my feeds and it's a great way to receive news/information. If you have Gmail - highly recommend it - it's a click or two away to set-up the whole reader thing. Trust me, feeds seem very technical and complicated, but it will change the way you read/view/listen to web content. Google Reader also allows you to receive subscriptions on your mobile phones.
