In the past some ladies have wished to extend their adventure by arriving earlier, or staying later a few days. Green Valley has offered the same great rate for additional nights as well for everyone attending Inspiration Unlimited.

Just thought I'd share a SUPER DUPER LICKETY SPLIT QUICK Christmas card idea...easy to mass produce too!

This Christmas tree is made from THREE sizes of squares cut diagonally to make the triangles...just layer them up and add a little stem...easy as pie! I stamped a manilla colored tag (actually made from a file folder, cheaper than cardstock if you buy in bulk or have a lot laying around) with the Christmas Words stamp from Teresa's Tis the Season collection. Love adding a bit of blue to the mix. This would be a great one to do with the kiddos!

Oh goodness...I should be cleaning no doubt. The house is a mess. Which means I've been creating! New things! Fun stuff! Last night Abby and me made special necklaces for her bff's birthday. Abby helped design and bead the necklaces...it was really cute! Here's what we made...

It was really too late to start another project..but we did! Abby wanted to make a monogrammed canvas too! She picked the fabric and did a lot of the project!

I finished it up this afternoon...sealed it and blinged it out and I think it turned out FAB! I hope Emily likes it as much as we did!

I was commissioned by my SIL to do a painting of a razorback for a new baby gift...baby's name is Jackson and SIL thought "Razorback Jack" would be too cute for baby's room...a new little hog fan! Okay...I really wasn't sure how this one would turn out. Hogs are a little out of my cute-sie comfort zone...but I think he turned out pretty darn cute with just the right amount of fierceness! LOL!

It was so fun to change my pace up...do some paintings and things today. That's what I'm loving about the shoppe! Something else really fun...I did some of these in pink silk for LITTLE girls gifts! Think dress up fun! ooh la la!!! I told the purchaser...if the little girls don't like to wear, Mama could always wear as a bracelet! LOL!

All in all a productive day in the Whimsy Shoppe...interested in one of the above custom items...I'll be adding them soon to my shoppe---or you can email me. Custom requests are always welcome! Don't forget I can do these too...

I wish the pictures did the zebra canvases justice...they are fabulous in person!

I love wrapping Christmas gifts! I wrapped a few today and devised a complex coding system that no 1, 8 or 10 year old could EVER decrypt! LOL! I want to have a ribbon and bows party...you know where you make fun package decor, bows, etc...to finish off your gifts! Need to fit that in before Christmas!

It's back and going to be better than ever! More fabulous, inspiring teachers, a special keynote speaker, a luxurious locale and well, Vegas! What more could you want!?

All of this is made possible by our good friend, Ginger Nelson...the event coordinator. If it weren't for her number crunching mastermind, fierce negotiating skills and smooth organization...we just couldn't do it!

The event dates this year is September 23 (meet and greet), September 24th,25th (workshop classes) 2010.
You will get to take 6 workshops from the AMAZING above mentioned artists...and of course we'll have some special surprises up our sleeves too!!!
We changed venues and added some teachers and still wanted to make it affordable to attend. The event cost is $285.00 (this doesn't include your hotel however we have special room rates for attendees).

Turkey, necklaces and my Christmas present...

We had a scrumptious and fun Thanksgiving...so many things to be thankful for. Scott and me got up at 4:30 Thursday morning to begin our noon meal preparations. It was the best time. We had our coffee, pondered life and had a good 4 hours till the kids got up and we talked and talked, an act that we "married with children" find NO time to do with the busy-ness of life. It was good. So good. I love him...doesn't he clean up well?

This really makes my heart skip a beat...(what's not to love about a man who mops)

Here we are being silly Thanksgiving morning...

For the last eight years we have prepared our own Thanksgiving feast here at home and then we get together with my family in the evening. Nine grand kids makes it quite fun and crazy! Something we treasure since with so many family members it's hard to find a time to all come together. And darn it! I didn't get any pics! :(

Yesterday, I surprised Sara and Abby with their very own Christmas tree to decorate. We always put the tree up on the day after Thanksgiving but we got rid of our tree (artificial) this past year and I have just not scouted out a new one. We are actually thinking of doing a real tree...a visit to the tree farm in on my to do list today! To keep with tradition, I let the girls decorate the tree with some of their ornaments and here is what theirs look like...

Abby's is pink decorated with lots of princess ornaments and we topped it with a tiara!

Sara liked the tiara idea too...hers matches her room with lots of blue!

and she used a hairbow! LOL!

Remember my table...that Scott is building? Did I mention that here?
It's coming along! (It's my Christmas present :)

He just couldn't wait...had to put some stain on and see how it looks! It's gorgeous...ready for some legs now!
