the future of dehydration technology? who knows, but ive spent a nice investor lunch event in munich yesterday :-)

well, despite temporary ups and downs, on balance my investment didnt move an inch since early 2010 (in €uro terms), but i somehow feel its gonna be good what these guys create so i bought few more shares on market opening, u know? of course, if u asked me i prefer natural blueberries, strawberries, ananas, women to dehydrated ones ... and i dont like bacteria, vaccines and the like at all (no matter if natural or dehydrated), but there are for sure applications esp in the food and medicine industries which use all that dehydrated stuff, so what?

why do i think this technology and enwaves royalty model will succeed? it is simply the fastest and cheapest technology ... and yes, you only need a microwave and some vacuum. easy, isnt it? there was some slide in the presentation which tells ya anything but enwaves 'REV' dehydration approach is rubbish, but it is designed rather 4 technical people not homo sapiens financialis like me :-)

of course, the CEO john mcnicol told s.th. like it is not that easy to reproduce this technology that every competitor and every useless creature like myself could do it by themselves at no costs and no know-how and then sell the idea 2 nestle, danone, novartis, roche, merck ... and become rich over night ...

anyway, that brings me to next brilliant jaro gruber concept, my dear! i gonna dehydrate my investment ideas, thus keep them fresh for loooong periods of time and sell them 2 FED, ECB, goldman sachs, JPM, RBS, BoE, BoJ, pboc, deutsche bank and all other financial mafia institutes which have enough money 2 pay 4 that or have access 2 taxpayers money or both.

what an ugly year at the financial markets!

what the hell happened with me and the markets in 2011? well, the base of my former success, the (steady) rising gold + silver + commodities prices, was not the only difference this time .... unlike the last few years, in 2011 was the gold silver rally in late august unfortunately OVER with an all-time-high @ $1,921 just read my euphoric comment(s) + watch the funny screen shots as the gold price crossed the 1,900 burden ... and later on came the 2008-like-crash in mining stock prices ;-(

if u dont understand why im gonna separate between trading and investing results, its because traders and investors are 2 different species of our dear homo sapiens financialis. just think abt it for a second or two ...

traders = paranoid dreamers who fight against insiders, against political manipulators (eg interventions of central banks in the currency + bond markets), often even against fundamental conditions and own believes in order to snap off few bucks out of short-term movements of the financial markets. investors = stupid idiots who sell their stocks even for a price next to nothing and then wonder why fell 'the markets' that low (jaro gruber)

of course, both traders and investors if they succeed have to pay taxes, support the society and oppose their ugly bloodsucking speculator image made by politics & mainstream media in order to direct the public outrage away from politicians. what if they lose? easy, then they lose their own money and nobody cares abt them .... go homo sapiens financialis go :)

my micro trading account: approx 2-3% of all funds; commodity CFDs (natural gas, silver, wheat, orange juice, coffee, sugar, corn, rice, ...). yes, my swing + position trading worked quite fine again, ive made 6k €uros from january till july, which means a YTD trading-performance of +82.5% in 2011, my 2nd best result ever, next to crazy +347% in 2010 ... not bad, isnt it? btw, my peak performance mark was above +10k in june, but then ive lost 4k in 4 days while on holidays. of course, u can go through the july blog post linked above if u are interested in trading psychology issues :-). after the worldwide stock exchanges and my broker consequently increased the margin requirements (e.g. in silver CFDs +700%) and i was forced to provide much much much more money in order to keep a similar line of open positions, ive decided to quit my trading completely. the 2nd reason to quit was my (absolutely wrong) assumption that the gold/silver mining stocks are going to take off and rally for the rest of the year and thus ive mobilized all financial resources i could get .... what a mistake! btw, im not disappointed abt my decision. why not? damn, cos of my hyper-inflationary scenario i was commodities long only but the markets reacted more like in 2008 which means there was panic all over the board (commodities, equities, the most sovereign bonds, ....) and i would definitely lose money, just look at the development of commodity prices since summer till now. well, lets move to the investing part of my 'performance'.

my investing account(s): approx 97-98% of all funds; mostly gold + silver + commodity stocks, few energy stocks (esp. green energy), few internet + technology stocks, 1 silver ETF (~ my cash position), 2 different oil call options (one sold in november). PAIN + PAIN + PAIN ... except the first 2.5 months ive felt like in the crashy 2008, u know? there was such a selling pressure in late march, may, july, september, october, november, december ... OMD ;( ... i had to sell few of my positions and few others have been sold by my broker because of margin calls in the sept/oct crash etc and so fort ... well, the balance of my actions in 2011 was approx plus 60 €uros including my tax loss selling of my silver ETF on xmas eve at a loss of 4.7k in order 2 reduce the tax impacts of my remaining trading/investing profits ... not 2 bad u think? wrong, wrong, wrong my friends ... the problem are the open positions, u know? well, ive lost close to 100k of last year's fictive profits .... it hurts like hell .... of course, i consider my investing account rather as 'numbers' and not as 'money', but 100k could easily buy a new car and leave 50k for additional purchase of mining stocks at these soooooooo depressed levels ... it hurts like hell again ... what to do know? nothing, what else? yep, our 11 years old car cant go into a museum yet and has to survive a year or 2 longer, who cares?

any additional insights? well, after the tax payers all over the rescued the big banks in 2008/2009 the financial crisis turned into sovereign debt crisis (greece, irland, usa, italy, ...); the nuclear disaster in fukushima/japan was not bad enough in order to quit usage of nuclear energy and nuclear weapons (NATO's uranium ammunition 'left' all over the war places); the senseless western colonial wars continued in iraq, afghanistan, libya, .... ; the exorbitant western agricultural subsidies caused additional bankruptcies of farmers in 3rd world and thus hunger + starvation again (esp eastern africa ... btw, the situation there is so hopeless that few desperate folks try to survive as pirates ... OMD, pirates in 21th century!!!); the CIA financed arab spring movement caused revolutions in tunisia, egypt, syria, .... and finally, there is a big big BIG HOPE for 2012+ as the #OccupyWallStreet movement started in NYC and could spread itself around the globe. finally do people like u and me claim for justice + freedom + real democracy + a new society ruled by people and not by huge corporations & illuminati & corrupt governments ...

any lessons learned in 2011? the financial markets are not a one-way-road.

my outlook for 2012+ is not much different from previous years ... the fiat money crisis will continue and become worse and worse until the #OccupyWallStreet movement finally replaces the ruling 'elites' by real democracy and the fraudulent paper money system will be replaced by s.th. else, prolly by gold/silver backed currency(ies)

what to say after my whole financial mess is completely revealed and 2011 is in few hours over? what abt a slogan as every year? ok. merry crisis + happy new fear! huhhhhh? not pessimistic enough? ok, my 2nd trial: merry xmas + happy new year + occupy2012, my friends ;-)

skiing with my youngest daughter

folks, u have probably thought all my life is about #OccupyWallStreet, havent u? no it isnt .. ive been skiing at zugspitze, the top of germany (2,962m [= 9,718 ft], skiing area up to 2600 meters) on the border to austria with my youngest daughter 2day ...

the weather was a catastrophy cos approx 95% of the time there was such an ugly fog we couldnt see each other. well, the reason weve changed our plan and went to the glacier at the top of germany was the quite warm temperature elsewhere (-1 to +2 degrees celsius) and a danger of rain. please dont let me get started on skiing when it rains and so dont ask my eldest daughter ~ WE WILL NEVER AGAIN SKI WHEN IT RAINS ~ it is as easy as that :-)

yep, at zugspitze it was cold enough (-7 celsius) and even if both of us are not 100% healthy we have enjoyed our 1st skiing this season. wanna few mor pics? here we go, enjoy my thinny picasa album (7 pics)

a near term gold + silver producer in mexico + australia, a royalty interest in bolivia, 30% owner of midas gold corp, early stage projects in california / usa + indonesia, no debt, some cash, $125m worth of midas gold stock package, ... anyway, one of their properties in mexico (baha california) is their 'problem child' as the CEO mike told us cos of some environmental permitting issues ...

so what 2 do? easy, same procedure as usual: ive bought few shares, applied 4 companys newsletter, gonna follow them on twitter / facebook / real life ... damn, ive again bought too expensive (at market opening) cos the gold & silver & mining stocks markets collapsed 2day again ;-( ... unfortunately, i mostly buy too expensive and often at market openings as i have no time + no patience to wait for the best possible entry and yes, ive sometimes also s.th. 2 do in my office job and thus cant wait for sale offers mr. market gives to the patient ... and on top i also dont have real time quotes (my broker charges it extra), so who cares? well, lets call that 'plan your trade and trade your plan' ;-)

ive joined the plenum of munichs #OccupyWallStreet movement ('real democracy now' + united for global change oct 15) => OMG + OMG + OMG!

well, we have been about 30-40 people who joined in the OneWorldHouse in munich to discuss important topics, but we were not able to decide how to vote for or against anything in 2+ hours ... OMD! ... real democracy is difficult, my dear :-)

at least we have put 4 options together and will decide next time, besides other reasons also in order to give the other folks who couldnt be here a chance to vote as well :-). our proposals?

hell, hell, hell, what a difference! my dear, ive joined my wife's xmas party for her esoteric group of folks yesterday ... nobody hassled, no reasons for quarrels, everyone helped to clean up the rooms afterwards and yes, there was a peaceful optimistic atmosphere all the time. what did these folks different? damn, do they prolly have a common vision? do they know how to make our world a better place? is a common consciousness of many many like-minded people a better way to change the world than demonstrations?

what a strange evening 2night! well, the best of all wives + me have landed in fürstenfeldbruck (FFB), a small city 20 km away from munich ... i havent been there for 3 years or longer, my dear... well, weve planned to visit a cocktail bar right behind munich, but theyve built a new road out there and yes, we didnt find the right turn and then it was too late ...

spontaneous as so often in the last time, we changed our plan and visited FFB, place we used to go swimming on weekends few years ago ... as tourist do, we stopped at the very centre and jumped into the 1st pub we could find, the 400 years old post hotel. the kitchen was closed already, thx goodness their polish waitress found some bread somewhere and yes, we have survived + had sooo nice time there ;-)

any lessons learned? yep, weve decided to go out once a week or at least every 2 weeks ... and yes, for some time we gonna try every time a new location ... you cant learn anything new by walking on your old paths all the time, u know?

whats the advantage of long blog titles? there is not much to add later on :-)

folks, pls dont think the oil price is gonna collapse ... i would rather hold my trade till the end of january, but i couldnt ... well, my call option (call warrant?) expired yesterday, so the goldman sachs guys sold it close to the daily low @ 3.50 €uros i think (brent oil was $113 per barrel yesterday) ... its nice to be an emitter & market maker at one time, isnt it?

anyway, my trade from late march 2009 on brent oil and strike price $90 is 2.6 times the initial amount, so ive managed to make 160% profit on that thinny position ... unfortunately, the all-time-high for that paper was 4.82 €uros (prolly when the oil price was $125 in april), so there could be even more money made, but ive somehow waited for a temporary (news driven) price spike which didnt come in the last 2 years ... my dear, dont worry, ive one more open oil option, my bigger and less aggressive paper oil which runs one more year (till 11/12/2012) and has a strike price of only $70 (currently +117%) ...

why did i buy all these 3 major commodity producers and not any pennystocks this time? well, i just thought my always underfunded account will enjoy their fat dividends ;-)

next investor lunch 2day => a nice update on operations again ... hell, next time im going 2 post an andover ventures picture, promised ... will prolly have 2 steal one from companys website, haha :-)

there is not everything fine at andover cos they didnt put their trixie mine into production this year as theyve promised, buuuuut there is such a great perspective and such a nice shareholder structure (directors + insiders own biggest part of the company so lets hope they will act as owners and not as managers ;-) that ive bought all my andover shares back i had to sell during my margin calls horror in september/october and even few more => im glad to carry a bigger line of andover shares than ever before

nothing wrong out there? well, ive increased my alexco position on monday @ CAD 8.09 ... and yes, the stock closed @ CAD 7.29 today, which means i would get 10% more shares for the same money 2day ;-(. well, the equity markets are completely irrational and our dear homo sapiens financialis is currently sooooo fearful that he e.g. sold one of the biggest silver producers in the world, silver standard resources (SSO) 22% cheaper than yesterday only cos theyve published some lower resource estimation than before ... and a profit of $0.27 per share versus a loss a year ago ... and a cash balance of $356 million etc and so on ... well, ive increased my SSO position yesterday and thus such a dramatic price decline on day two hurts like hell, but when ive read the 'reasons' and recognized that SSO hardly will go bankrupt on this issue => i just thought WTF, WTF, WTF => too funny, isnt it? i just laughed and laughed and laughed abt the stupidity of investors / traders and yes, ive doubled my yesterdays SSO position, so i have double the size of stock which is currently 10% down => lets lean back + appreciate the pull back in a week or two or three? folks, whats your guess: whos right this time, mr. market or me?

btw, my initial investment idea was born here ;-)

a nice update on endeavour silver's operations at their investor lunch event in munich 2day ... well, there is everything fine at endeavour (=one of my top 5 portfolio positions by current $$ value):

rising silver production from their 2 producing mines in mexico
falling cash costs (only $5.53 per ounce of silver)
rising cash flow
huuuge exploration program
no debt
and yes, 2011 is the very 1st year endeavour is going to make an overall profit. how did they manage to become a $1billion company by losing money each year? well, ive told ya before mining is a strange business, didnt i?
what abt dividends? well, they dont pay any yet, maybe next year, who knows? and yes, there was an metal 'dividend' this time, just look how pretty 1 oz Ag can be:

a great event, as always :-)

day zero ~ a passion lounge with zimtu capital in the office of cm equity group in the very center of munich ~ of course ive welcomed the chance 2 walk a little bit through the streets of munich and yes, after 20+ years in munich ive visited the city hall's tower for the very 1st time (shame on me, i know) ~ city hall pictures
day 1 ~ the key speaker 2day was (billionaire + gold bug) eric sprott ~ sooo many booths of sooo many companies fighting for attention of investors + newsletter writers ~ many busy bullion dealers have sold sooooo much (physical!) gold + silver i believe ~ low quality fast food in between ~ many interesting presentations (at 3 stages) ~ coin dealer's pro aurum reception in the evening
day 2 ~ the key speaker was james turk, ive visited also few other presentations and talked to the company representatives of my portfolio's stocks i didnt manage to on the 1st day :-)

of course, the whole western world is already bankrupt but it still can afford to bomb iraq, afghanistan, libya ... and subsidy nuclear energy + banks + bionergy + many other planet destroying stuff ;-(. folks, lets stop it ASAP!

wanna see how bankrupt e.g. the USA is? just see the u.s. budget compared to a household budget below ...

=> the usa is bankrupt, no doubts ... but when will the system collapse? it seems to be a difficult question, but it isnt. many complicated looking things have an easy solution if we concentrate on the essentials, believe me ;-)

1st im gonna tell ya few don'ts:

dont follow the political comedy surrounding fiat money
dont try 2 remember the phony names and volume numbers of alll these 'rescue packages' out there
dont care abt the ratings by moody's, S&P, fitch, ...
dont waste own time with reading / researching / writing abt paper money issues (you should prolly stop reading here and start doing the right stuff, shouldn't you? lol)
dont waste other people's time speaking / writing abt paper money issues
dont keep any serious money in your bank account(s)
etc

2nd the stuff we definitely should do:

wear our fastest sneakers and run to the nearest ATM / bank / insurance in order 2 withdraw as much money as possible
buy real stuff (gold, silver, real estate, food, ...)
fire paper money as we germans did in 1923
throw paper money away as hungarians did in 1946
change the current politics via #OccupyWallStreet + #unitedforglobalchange or some other public movement
sleep well cos we knew we did the right things
etc

EASY, u see?

whats the good thing abt this ongoing (!) change of the collective consciousness regarding fiat money? well, in order to change the currrent fraudulent paper money system we dont need 2 'convert' all folks out there ... a so called criticall mass is enough .... thx goodness :-)

the best of all wives and me have just spent 2 days in salzburg ("salt-castle" or mozart-city???), austria => great! yes, salt made this city rich and the riches made all that buildings possible which 2day provide salzburg the status of unesco's world cultural heritage ... simply salt, hmmmm :-)

my crazy wife has visited an (esoteric) healing seminar by richard bartlett. what abt me? well, on day #1 ive been in the most streets, churches, hills, castles of salzburg i believe ... i was sorry i couldnt meet mozart, prolly he is already dead ..... anyway, my feet hurt like hell .... but what to do tomorrow? no, im not going to run all that hills up and down again, no way! ----- well, i would prolly like to see the hellbrunn castle ... or shoudda try the bars tomorrow? or go outside the city? hmmmmm, any idea(s) out there?

well, my friends suggested i should eat as many mozartkugels / mozart balls as possible, but ive decided 2 do s.th. completely different:

hellbrunn castle ~ very very nice gardens, water / fountains, sculptures, inner architecture (rooms / paintings) as seen in the brochures cos i didnt like to visit the main attractions ZOO + the inside exhibition of this beautiful maison de plaisance 2day. why? my goal were the nearby alps ;-)
salt mine in bad dürrnberg ~ already the celts produced salt inside these hills! as there was not much else what could be used to preserve the food in the pre-refrigerator-era, salt was precious and costly for centuries (“white gold”). many centuries later, in the medieval age, there was already a mass production of salt via the leaching 'technology'. wanna more details? follow the museum-link ... imho is this museum a great new experience for those who havent been in a (salt) mine yet (like the one in bad reichenhall / germany) and on top a great opportunity to enter bavaria / germany without passport underground ;-)
celtic village ~ space filler instead of waiting 30 minutes for the salt mine guided tour, the ticket was included in the price of the salt mine visit and so were the hallein's museums later in the afternoon
lunch in bavaria ~ much better beer than in austria, just think abt the oktoberfest, my dear :-)
obersalzberg ~ i didnt like the spirit there and of course didnt visit hitlers eagle nest (kehlsteinheim) or the exhibition .... it would for sure depress me a lot, i see no reason 2 carry that feelings with me
hallein ~ a small city on the salzach river, celtic museum, the museum of "Silent Night" (German: "Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht") ~ a xmas carol composed by franz xaver gruber in 1818 .... hmmmm, do u think this guy and me are some kind of relatives and i could market that song in some way or the other? lol

folks, ive written few words abt the unfair western war against libya some time ago ... well, the former revolution leader, dictator, however we call him, muammar al-gaddafi and all(most?) of his sons were killed recently, so whats next? and who will get the libyan oil?

as for now, approx 90% of the oil profits gets libya, 10% the western oil companies ... its gonna change very soon, isnt it? what abt 95% for exxon, conoco, bp, shell, total & co and the remaining part for libya? business as usual in africa, wouldnt u say?

whats my guess 4 libya? well, the USA + its small dirty NATO allies (North Atlantic TERROR Organisation, which is threatened by noone, but kills ten thousands [millions?] of people all over the world) will install a puppet government like in afghanistan, iraq, etc and then move to some other 'target' bringing death & suffering to some other people (in syria + iran?) just 2 keep the profits for western war industry running as always ... and yes, there will prolly be an ugly civil war in libya which will destroy everything the NATO bombs didnt destroyed yet and in the end will establish some highly religious islamic country, whose folks will hate us for few very good reasons and just wait for revenge ....

and what abt the western taxpayer? he or she will have to pay billions and billions of dollars & €uros for decades in order to support the new puppet government and of course 2 support the libyan 'democracy' ... hmmmm, was it worth it and was there really nothing better we could do with our money, my dear?

hell, how long will we accept that our corrupt politicians not only accomplished such a mess at home but also continue 2 kill innocent people all over the world? folks, lets #OccupyWallStreet, #OccupyMunich, #OccupyWorld & #OccupyTogether or lets start an another movement (if the #Occupy leaders turn into a wrong direction) which would give the power (back) to the public and would give our poor planet some hope :-)

the good old days ;-)

well, once again the children came up with a great idea and we have broken out for the old city center. yes, after 20+ years in munich ive attended a guided tour through the old streets, heard stories ive never heard before, seen places ive never seen before, visited 2 museums (beer & city museum), drunk the 1st hot wine punch of this winter season ... a nice night, indeed :-)

what abt few pics for the fans of dark streets and old stuff? yep, here we go ;o)

btw, next year i will try to attend again and choose some other guided tour and visit some other museums and prolly also ride the historic tram if they'll bring it out of the transport museum again ;-)

donner metals + donnybrook energy

zinc + gas? how does that fit 2gether? well, the CEO dave patterson presented his 2 companies donner metals + donnybrook energy in munich 2day ... (pls follow that links for more details abt my perspective on these companies from former investor presentations ;-)

any news? well, the outlook for donner metals is great cos they are much closer to production of Zn / Cu / Ag / Au in quebec / canada as they have been at dave's last visit. nevertheless their share price collapsed in the recent market correction as if there were no tomorrow, hmmmm ... on top we will prolly see collapsing zinc output from existing mines, so we just have to get the demand side of the supply & demand pattern correctly in order to predict future zinc prices, true? .... btw, donner's production will replace the mill feed from an old xstrata's mine which is going out of production in late 2012 / early 2013 ... well, now u know why is xstrata zinc canada (65%) the major partner of donner (35%) in that promising project :-)

what abt donnybrook? hmmm, i had to leave early 2day cos i had a meeting in my office job which i couldnt reject or shift to a later time, so i just catched some of dave's explanations abt the energy + gas markets and abt new gas drilling methods in general, but not much abt the company itself ... i even dont know when should some drill results etc come out and im too lazy to move 2 their website for some update on operations ... but who cares? at the current low low low gas prices they should better keep their gas under the ground, shoudnt they?

u know what? the other folks out there told me that unlike 2008 there is a lot of money in the markets waiting for places to go in .... and yes, a debt financing (fixed rates for some time) is more popular than equity financing (private placements of new shares etc) ... hmmmm, strange, isnt it? ... even AFTER the crash in the resource sector are the investors scared to invest, hmmmmm ...
