Labor & delivery story of Sawyer Jacob

As most of you know on the 13th at 11:15 pm i felt a small trickle coming down my leg. Unsure that it was my water I go to the Dr's the next day. They did not have the equipment to see if it had ruptured so they sent me to the hospital where I spent more than 5 hrs of testing. They said it didnt break. Well I think they where wrong and missed it, since sometimes it tears real small and unable for others to see or notice even with testing.

So we are sent home of course me totally upset and bummed no baby. So we go home eat and Scott passes out. I took some laxatives in hopes to stimulate something. I got to bed around midnight and passed out. Around 3 am I woke up with a cramp and totally had to poo. Go in the bathroom take care of business but man my stomach hurt. I did not think it was contractions because every time it happened I had to go to the bathroom, I just figured it was irritating my uterus because of the laxatives. Okay so I was totally wrong. Scott being the good husband he is wanted to go to the hospital but i insisted it wasnt real just have to go to the bathroom. In the meantime more and more contractions are coming. I asked Scott to time them and he said they where 3 min apart. NO WAY! thats not possible anyone who has ever been in natural labor knows its a process, you start about 10 min apart, then 7, then etc. How was it possible that I could be 3 min apart??? It was surreal folks I didnt believe it. They got worse so I jumped into a warm shower, again Scott bugged me to go to the hospital but i told him theres no way it went that fast, its not possible, its been around an hr and a half i think lol. Scott informs me he is packing up and calling my mom to watch the kids. I still insisted no way this is sooo not possible what happened to the first part of labor?? Scott told me he was actually woken up by me moaning and snoring at the same time. So light when on in my head, the 1st part of my labor was when i was sleeping. NO Way! Again in total shock and by this time there was no break contractions kept coming and I was screaming at this point. It was not tolerable at all... We go into the car and wait for my mom... While waiting the contractions are getting worse and I told Scott I wanted to push, he said Dont push but I wasnt sure if I had to shit or what... We head out do not even get a mile from the house when I have to push and my water breaks. Poor Scott I am screaming and pushing and just down right scared. I know he ran like 2 red lights but I will let that slide since I didnt listen to him to begin with when he first wanted to leave.

So we are going down this one street its a straight path but like 4 miles long and in the middle of nowhere when I continue to push, moved my feet to the dashbohard and guess what I feel?? A head! AWWW SHIT! I was like no way, im in pain dont know what to do and this baby is coming now. Scott helped me get my underwear off so can get him out and I am just feeling his head, totally crazy guys, sooo much pain then to top it off I am in the car and this baby is crowning. Ok so lets get a visual at the time i didnt really care but when I think about it now it must have looked funny. Me in a rob no underwear both legs up on dashboard and butt hanging close to off the seat. Ok so gross right hehehe! Scott pulls off of the road in the Wells Fargo parking lot and calls 911. So I dont know how long he was on the phone but I know he came over and I could hear the women dispatcher telling him to stay by me so he could catch the baby.

I am babbling the whole time what a fuckin idiot I am not to listen and how I am going to have this baby in the front seat of my car. I was praying to God that he would be alright. Probably should mention its 24 degrees outside and I have group b strep which requires I get antibiotics for 2 hrs before he was born, this prevents the baby from getting it, Very dangerous it could kill the baby. So knowing this you can imagine how I was feeling. Pain, worry, feeling stupid and more! Sooo many emotions.

So the ambunlance shows up I remember Scott waving his hands up and down so they would see him. So the paramedic gets Scott out of the way and tell me not to push, I basically told him fuck no i am going to push, he said what is your name and I could barely tell him. He says Jennifer you need to breathe and not push we need to move you into the ambulance, I told him to not fucking touch me. We then painfully and carefully move onto the bed and he moves me into the ambulance. He then says Jennifer you push as much as you want. I was screaming hes stuck I cannot get him out. He takes his fingers and places them right below his head on my vagina and I push for dear life and I shit you not he comes flying out. Instant relief folks just felt like I took the biggest dump ever. The baby instantly starts crying, he cuts the cord and is not sure where a clean towel is, they didnt have one so he said open your rob and gave him to me. WOW he was small, I dont know what to do with a kid that small. He was gross and bloody but boy was he cute. So I am in shock, cannot believe what happened then I think of how my poor husband missed it. Not sure how long it took to get to the hospital but they covered me up (still had everything hanging out same position from when I was in the car) opened the door and there is Scott. Poor honey I bet you where worried but we where fine! Thank God.

Got into a labor and delivery, they took the baby to check him out and everyone is just amazed in the hospital. While sitting there the placentia just feel out of me and the midwife inspected my vagina. I tore but thankfully it wasnt that bad. They gave me a shot to stop the bleeding and then stiched me up.

Gave me my little boy and Scott started making phone calls, Boy was my mom surprised she just watched us leave like 20 min ago and we where now telling her Sawyer was born but not in the hospital.

So Sawyer Jacob Jarvis was born 1/15/10 at 5:38 am weighing 6lbs and 6oz. He is just as cutest thing and looks like his sisters just not as fat LOL. Hes really tiny guys like he looks breakable to me.

The DR saw him and ran some tests so far its negative for group b strep but we have to stay 48hrs because it can show up later and its deadly. Please continue to pray that he turn out negative.

So thats one for the books!

I guess all we can do is wait to see what happens! Oh I should probably tell you the person who changed it was the main physician that is in charge of the midwives. This is someone who has NEVER seen me before. When I asked why he made that change she said "hes the boss".

Pregnancy Dr Appointment & Update

So I will continue the story now of the Dr Appt itself it was just as fun!
I got to meet the next midwife and she is the midwife in charge "Kimberly" had to write down the name because i will forget and she said if I ever had a problem with the other midwives to let her know! Well we all know I come across problems all the time so I will keep the name in my blog just in case I have to reference it later!
Anyway we hear the stinkers heart beat, talk about my swelling feet and only 3 pds gained YES! She was very attentive and while most of the time I could careless about that today I needed it!
So she runs to get the ultrasound results and there is a little surprise! Not a bad suprise he was totally healthy weighed 2 pds, heart was totally functional, brain was HUGE and my placenta was huge. Ok so to the surprise..

they changed the due date again now its Jan 3rd.. (his brain was ahead of the game, he weighed too much, placenta was huge, legs & arms long)

Ok so of course I have issues with that and so does the DR, we need to pick a date here folks! She was really concerned because of my history of large children they would like to induce around 38-39weeks. So date is important. She calculates the difference and thats 22 day difference.. we both agreed thats too much of a difference..

I asked so I could possibly have this child on the 3rd?? She said well yes but we need to get a more precise date.. i agree got to plan around this kid..

She now wants me to see a perinatal specialist to find out the real date then she said she will just cut it down the middle.. hahahaha so thats reassuring this kid could either be 2 weeks early or 2 - 3 weeks late.. either way its not good..

so I have another Dr appt on a Nov 7 to see this guy and hopefully we can come up with a better answer..

this day has been shit folks I cannot wait until its over!

Dr Office Manager Needs A Good Slap

So we had to go to the 7th month check up today which of course not only consists of the same old same old stuff but I had arrange to take the gluclose blood test which as most know takes about an hour to complete. So the appointment was originally at 1:45 pm and I could do all my blood work at the office not the lab, sounds convienent right?? Ya I thought so! I got a phone call and 9 in the morning asking if I wanted to make it 11:00am instead. So i call them back and make sure I can still do my testing there and she said of course.

So we quickly get ready and run to the office. So as usual its me, Serenity and Scott. I think I have only gone to the Dr once by myself so its standard for the crew to show up. We walk in the door take a seat and a women whom I have never seen before comes up to me and says you cannot bring kids in here. I said excuse me?? She said the rules state there are no kids allowed in the Dr office because they carry too many germs.

So I am of course shocked and said well sorry but no one told me. She said well I am going to have to ask to have the kid wait outside. I told her "NO they will not wait outside they come with me everytime and they are going to stay with me today." She said well I can get you in and out really quickly. I said "no i have testing to do today and I called this morning to make sure nothing affected me coming in early to do it." She said "no you cannot do it today we have to reschedule". Well well you know I did not take to that too well. I let her know that I called him less than an hour ago and made sure that everything was a go for testing and that I came in early just so I can go about my day and now she was telling me I couldnt do it. Dont think so! She said well they need to wait in the car. Again I told her "nope they are not going anywhere we drove down here together and they are not leaving to drive home only to turn around and drive back and waiting in the car was not an option".

Of course she didnt like that nothing better than seeing someone get their panties in a bunch because they are told no. She said it was the rules and I told her to fuck the rules no one told me. The nurse chimes in and says well its new its from Oct you probably didnt know, I said well thats funny I was in the office 3 weeks ago with the kids and guess what its was Oct. (Now keep in mind the lady I was arguing with was not someone that worked in the office she looked like one of the suits coming in to ensure the office was playing by the rules)

So she tell me can you go to the lab and I said well I am willing to do to the lab if i can go today right after the appointment, I based my entire day and appointments around this appointment that I already changed once and that she is interferring with my day. She said I could go to the lab on Sat I told her hell no! I am going today the second I am done or not at all.... she said she would see what she could do..

Get this guys while I am in the office and supposively there are suppose to be no kids, a lady walks in with a newborn baby and her 2 yr old... hmmmmm so no kids huh?? guess that rule just applies to me. Gets even better she said she was protecting me with this rule except some asshole soon to be dad was in there with the flu.. sooo how was not letting my 3 yr old coming in protecting me??? Exactly not protecting me at all! Of course they think the kids carry the flu shit my daughter rarely gets sick or even leaves the house that soon to be dad who goes to work every day and is around tons of germs is more harmful..
anyway I wanted to pimp slap her ass across the office..

so we have the appointment (i will do a seperate post on the fun of that) and then we rush to the Lab which is closed because of lunch so guess what folks I get to wait for another hour only to turn around come back and site another hour..

So how was this office manager trying to help me today?? By fucking up my entire day! Looking out for my health?? Not really the hackers in the lab where worse than an elementary school during flu season.. office politics and I am thinking just to be a real asshole I am going to bring both kids in next time...

So I continue my venture on sharing my story about BabiesRUs, I already got on Page 1 of Google with the term BabiesRUs Sucks so hey gotta love SEO so I will do another blog post to add to the list! I would recommend that no pregnant woman register at BabiesRUs, there return policy is totally ridiculous.

If you have no receipt you cannot return the items at all!

If you have a receipt you can only get store credit! Doesn't matter what kind of receipt you have even the original one! So if you got more than one item and want to return it get the money and go buy more items at a cheaper place well sorry you cant! They are going to keep your money no matter what! Isnt that stealing??

I would recommend Target or Walmart they will give you the cash back so you can go anywhere you want!

What happened to having rights and having options of where to spend your money?? I thought its my right to spend my money where ever I want! guess not California law states that stores can force you to take store credit as long as its posted somewhere example: "your receipt". So it doesn't matter if your store has nothing I want, if some gives me a gift and I decide I do not want it for whatever reason and the store has nothing else I want guess what YOUR FUCKED! I have to shop there no matter what! Guess what folks I will NEVER get a gift receipt again! I will always provide the original so you are not stuck with something you do not want and not FORCED to shop somewhere that BLOWS!

BabiesRUs Sucks & There Policies Are Crap

To start the weekend out it was awesome! We had a great baby shower and got lots of gifts. Scott and I decided to take some of the gifts back "luxury" gifts not have to haves back to the store since we had both a receipt and gift receipt. Had the whole sha-bang folks Dad made sure we had everything we needed to take it back to the store!

So I pile it all in the car and we go for a trip to BabiesRUs, now do not forget folks we live in the desert so its a 20 min plus drive to get to the mall. Anyway we go into the store and the girls up front where as sweet as can be helping us return the items. Total items taken back was $220.00. Lots of money right?? Well we planned on spending most of it at BabiesRUs but wanted to save at least some of it just in case Walmart or Target had something cheaper. So with the receipt what did I expect back?? Well of course cash. Am I crazy to expect that?? I didn't think so I had all receipts and they insisted that I could only get store credit. So my next question of course is why??? When I have my receipt in hand both gift and the real receipt why can't I get cash back???

All the girl could say was "it is policy with a gift receipt". I asked why?? If someone bought me a gift from your store and i decided I didn't want anything from your store and had the receipt why am I forced to buy something from your store?? Because its policy is not a good enough answer for me. I can take a gift receipt into Target, Best Buy and Walmart and get cash back why should any other store be different. A receipt is a receipt someone gave them the money I got the gift, I now don't want the gift so I want the money instead. Not a hard concept people!

So of course I am really upset by now and asked to speak to the manager. So the nice girls call the manager Janelle (I think thats her name) to the front. Scott and I are waiting there playing with the kids. I should probably mention at this time they took everything from my cart and put it back where ever it came from.

Waiting this lady comes up Scott and I both look at her and man did she look pissed. She had the dirtiest look on her face and Scott and I both said gosh I hope thats not her! Well guess what it was. So for a minute or so she talked to the front girls then asked what the problem was. So I explained my issue on store credit when I had my receipts, before I could even finish a sentence she interrupted me more than once telling me " we do not give cash back on anything", "we do not give cash back to credit card purchases" then she says "we don't give cash back on checks",the other girl up front says "yes we give cash back from checks", the manager says "No we don't" then it was "we don't give cash back on gift receipts", my personal favorite guys was "well no store gives back cash back on gift receipts not even Target". Ok so tell me how the last one was relevant, so I nicely let her know that she was not correct I had just taken something back to Target with a gift receipt a few weeks ago, Scott then proceeds to tell her that Best Buy gives cash back for gift receipts. (Not that any of that had anything to do with anything but anyway). So then Scott begins to talk to her and she cuts him off more than once and Scott got mad. He told her "Are you gonna shut your fucking mouth bitch so I can finish what I am saying". The look on her face was priceless but it didn't work no shutting her up. She then proceeds to tell us " I Refuse Service I am not Helping You". So I tell her OK then give me my items back, she then tells me "No I Refuse Service". She then said "Please leave" (Everyone I was shocked she was not only refusing service she was not going to give back the gifts I brought in to return, she even kicked me out I have NEVER been kicked out of the store before, well you know me I do not tolerate that) I then told her "You have 2 options you are either going to give me the cash back or my fucking items back". OK so why did I even have to deal with her in this way?? She should have not wanted to keep my items at all. In all my years I have NEVER meet anyone so rude and difficult in my life.

So as everyone quickly scrambles Scott asks her for her managers name, phone number, and information she says " NO I am not giving that to you". Then Scott said "Bullshit you are going to give me the name of the information of the person you answer to". She said "Marco Ebrum" that may not be spelt right sorry. She refused to give us the telephone # or any other information I do not even know if she gave us the correct name.

So now that this has happened I am on a mission to spread the word! I will NEVER buy anything from BabiesRUs again, I am extremely upset how I was treated. She was not interested in hearing anything I had to say and was really rude. Its pretty bad folks when my husband and I have to raise our voices to get someones attention. She could not believe it but you tell me what we where suppose to to especially when she refused to give me my stuff back. I have worked in Customer Support for years and I have my own business and even if my customer is not totally right I NEVER treat them that way. I do what I can to resolve the problem and make it right even if its a compromise. I do not assert my authority to any of them as this women insisted on doing tonight. Talk about a pissing contest all I wanted was for someone to actually help me not tell me its policy and she didn't even say she was sorry, damn sorry goes a long way, if she even just attempted to give a shit it would have went a long way but she didn't and even worse she didn't care. If any of my managers ever talked to any of my customers that way I would fire their ass on the spot!

So my final thoughts on this is I will NEVER shop at BabiesRUs again. I am now stuck with items that I can use but that are not a absolute must for the baby, I may not even open some of them. So tell me how should I feel?? Upset?? Well ya just a little right?? LOL No I am very angry! This is just the first of many blog posts about BabiesRUs. I am an internet marketer and know how to get the word across all over the net!

I guess an email to an executive is in order I hope I can find the information of a big wig on top because I am extremely upset on how I was treated!

2nd Dr Visit - Pregnancy Update

So this last visit I think we better because I liked this other midwife more. FYI there are 6 midwives so basically I get to meet all of them and then I will know one of those 6 will be there to delivery my little man. So Brenda this time was really nice and didnt argue with me! I really like those DR's that say well you have had 3 kids already I think you know your body by now!

Anyway so bad new is I gained 5 pds totally upset with myself the goal was 2 and then I had to go ahead and eat all that fast food and make it 5. So I could have cried the weird thing was they said it was normal. They said they want me to gain 1 pd a week. I said Are you Crazy??? Thats 40pds and not the goal I had in mind! I was thinking more a long the lines of 20 pds. So anyway I thought she was crazy! LOL or maybe its just me.. Got all my test results back and no I do not have gestational diabetes (in your face 1st DR I knew I didnt have it) so good to know! All of the special genetic tests came back and they where normal so its nice to know that my special boy wont be wearing a helmet, wait my girls needed helmets so he probably will to! LOL

All in all it was a good appointment besides me sitting in the waiting for 2 hrs and them having a hard time taking blood from me (she took it from the side of my arm right there in the crack of your arm except further to the side) I was like bitch that hurt and she used the little butterfly needle! Dont want her to do that again!

So I am on a mission and I promise I will tell my honey NO to all fast food and we will go for a walk every day! I will make this goal dammit! Until next time!
