Hey Babes!

Hope all is well and that you all had a great weekend! My weekend was wet and dark. Been raining all day today but got to attend a 8am meeting, I know, mad early. But I made it. :) Checked out the street fair in my town, and thought back to last year at this time when I was at the Hasbrouck Heights street fair, it was mad hot that day! It was a beautiful day, sunny, it was truly summer at that time, and I realize I was frikkin' tanning in April cause I had a tan when me and Jay got married the 18th of April. THIS YEAR is so far away from last year when it comes to heat and nice weather, what happen 2013? Why so sad? Where is the heat, the sunshine?! I wonder how this summer is going to be weather wise? Hmm....The street fair was not crowded at all, but I got to score on some cute rings, and of course had some street fair food, I know, I was bad. :P

I need to shape up, I gained 2 pounds this week *sigh* That a 1 kilo which is normal for me, but I really JUST want to loose and not gain. Wish me luck!

Went grocery shopping with my Filipino girl friend Gie, which was really nice. I don't know why but I love grocery shopping! Feel me?

Also scored ready to eat meals from "lean cuisine" on SALE half off, awesome! So I'm def. ready for this weekend to get back on track and loosing more pounds, additionally to the ones I gained. To be continued!

So my ticket back home to Sweden is officially booked and I can not wait to go home and see my family and friends! Less than 2 weeks left now! YAY!

Also, can't wait to go shopping! :D

So I'm saving every penny so that maybe I can find some great pieces to wear for FFFWEEK next month. I've got my eyes on Lindex that's keept improving their plus size line "Generous".

Above are a few current favorite pieces. It's going to be nice to get to shop some European fashion :)

I'm so excited to go home soon, even though it's only for 10 days. It's going to be the best 10 days ever!

LANE BRYANT: Fashion Style-OFF

Hej Babes!

So I was picked by Lane Bryant to be a part of their Fashion Style-OFF, which I'm really excited about! THANK YOU LANE BRYANT! You guys rock! Voting starts the 20th of May and the winner of the Fashion style-off will be announced at Lane Bryant's Blogger/Stylist Event during FFFweek June 19th. So excited! :D

The participates has all received a gift card from Lane Bryant to use at their local Lane Bryant store or online to complete their look. So the week before mothers day I headed of to my local store and took part of their awesome "Buy one get on FREE" promotion that weekend. I then put together this look.

I didn't have a set idea of what I wanted to wear but I had my eyes on this gorgeous statement necklace that I had spotted when shopping at Lane Bryant the week before with Shay from a Thickgirlscloset! :) I knew I wanted to get that necklace as a statement piece and wear something that would make it shine. I also knew I wanted to do separates, I was leaning towards getting a dress but decided that I wanted to challenge myself so I spotted this super chic button down blouse in a subtle color and print, a simple white tank, and a pair of comfortable capris that would give the outfit some classy-ness. I've never worn or owned a pair of capris before, but seen so many stylish bloggers pull them off before so my mission was to find a pair and dress it with chic pieces to make it look young yet sophisticated. So easy to wear! I love wearing pieces that are easy! Easy to combine other pieces with, that works and looks great! :)
I'm 25 years old now, turning 26 soon and as I'm getting older my style is maturing as well and developing, and I feel that this look for me is so age appropriate. I love it! It's the prefect combination for me, still keeping to bold colors that I love to wear but with a classic touch.

I felt super chic in this outfit, so happy with it!

Topped it off with a big fashion watch, stackable bangles, bracelet, and comfortable chic cap-toe heels.

OOTD: The Icon

Hej Hej!

Hope you all had a lovely mothers day.

I slept in today, woke up around 2PM haha! I was sleeping like a baby. It was wonderful.

And then I just took it easy all day, snapped these outfit photos. I love this outfit, this cardigan is so nice! It's from HM's latest collection "The ICON" it has pockets, open, light weight, and it's print on print which I love! It's a size US size 14 and fits perfectly.

I don't know if I mention this earlier but I've been trying to loose some weight, reaching my peak weight at 101 kgs again (227 pounds) I decided to go back to counting calories, I lost about 10 pounds a year ago so I can do it again, can't believe I gained it all again so fast lol. I just want to feel healthier, I eat too much crap and that is why I'm gaining weight slowly everyday. Bags of chips, cookies, little treats, a huuuge meal, etc. Now I'm cutting it down, into smaller healthier meals, and treating myself at the end of the week to whatever I want to eat. So far in about 1 1/5 months I've lost 7 pounds. I'm trying to loose about 2 pounds a week, if I do I will reach my goal weight at a 180 Pounds which is 80 kgs. in about 4 months, IMAGINE! :D Which is still considered being "OBESE" according to the BMI. PPffffhhhhh!!! F*** the BMI. that's me, first of all, loosing 50 pounds which is huge for me personally. And then I need to loose another 40 pounds to be considered "normal weight". It's going to be hard. But I just want to feel healthier and more in shape. I love my body, but I don't want to catch my breath every time I walk up that little hill to our house everyday, I'm SOOOO out of shape it's not even funny :P

Hi Lovelies!

I'm so excited to share with you all that I've finally booked a flight ticket home to Sweden to see my family and friends! YAY! :D It cost me a fortune, you could say, but I got my hands on a great ticket. 30th of May to 10th June which is only in a couple of weeks or so. I will be home for my little sisters graduation and my brothers birthday. It's going to be a somewhat busy June, I'll be going home to Sweden, then getting back to work for a week and then 17th of June FFFWEEK starts and that's going to be an intense and exciting week as well. Can't wait, this summer is going to be awesome, I can just feel it! I can not wait! :)

I love this top from Ann Taylor, a more artistic take on a classic polka dot. It's so comfortable and easy to wear. Also, rocking my beloved Stiletto jeans from Torrid! They always look amazing on, they never get baggy or stretched out. They are the best frikkin' jeans ever! EVER! :P

Also, the heels I'm wearing are one of my thrift shop steal from a few weeks ago. They were only were only 1.99$. These heels gives me the Barbie vibes. Loving it!

Hope all is well!

A few days ago I received this awesome thing called the "Snugg" What is that you might wonder, well, it's a super chic and convenient Ipad case. The company that that created this masterpiece that is a must have for all iPad owners is called "The Snugg". It's a must have especially for those who desperately need a case that not only protects your iPad but also serves multiple functions. Take my mother in law for example (she's so adorable) she's always on her iPad, she isn't the most tech savvy person but she loves playing around with her iPad every single day she uses it for it's various apps and functions which makes her everyday routine so much easier for her. She was just missing the perfect case for it. I see her uncomfortably sitting in the kitchen, having to HOLD the iPad to use it or place it on the table and then strain her neck looking down at it. So when "The Snugg" contacted me to do this review I had to accept. I don't own my own iPad but sure, I would love to have one, lol, but I knew it would help out my mother in law a lot cause she desperately needs a great cover case and also, a great opportunity to use her a little bit as a "guinea pig" in this review. Honest opinions are golden, and she is so thankful for this case and it's functions.

Decided to go for a color that I've grown to love, PINK! This iPad case cover in pink leather can be positioned in two different ways, lying down and standing up...in an comfortable position that makes it super easy for you to use when reading, typing or viewing things on your iPad. It also have a stretch band where you can place your wrist and hold the iPad securely in your hand. Love it!

And let me tell you, my mother in law loves it too! ;)

Hello Everybody!

Maybe you've seen the latest released list of some of the designers showing at the INDI Designer Showcase this FFFWEEK, and I just wanted to share one of my favorite designer that among with a few others I'm looking the most forward to seeing at the Showcase the 21st June, got your ticket to the show yet? SO! I checked out the list of Designers, and WOW I can not wait to see the show!

I really like Youtheary Khmer's designs, so what I would wear on an everyday basis. So everyday chic, vibrant and colorful! Lately I've grown to LOVE pink! So I'm loving the pink maxi skirt, I'm falling in love with yellow, so I'm adoring the yellow white lace pencil skirt!

Their collection is affordable and easy to wear, which is a WIN WIN for me personally!

They are showing among other amazing Designers, like for example RUE 114, NAKIMULI and Amiie. Which are three of my other favorites on this INDI Designer list.

Hej Hej!

Hope you all had a great weekend! And a fun Cinco de Mayo (spelling?) I didn't go out, I just stayed at home and took it easy, had Chinese, fell into a 2 hour food coma where I napped, before all that I went to my local Lane Bryant Store and did some shopping, BECAUSE!...I'm going to be participating in the Lane Bryant Fashion Style-OFF Contest where the winner of the contest will be announced at the Lane Bryant Blogger/Stylist Conference during FFFWEEK this summer :)

Super excited about this, I did very very well today putting together my top to bottom outfit. Thanks to the BOGO FREE promotion I got my hands on some amazing jewelry, comfortable black heels and perfect clutch/cross body bag. I thought I would exceed my spending limit on my gift card but turned out to have some bucks left, amazing! THANK YOU SO MUCH LANE BRYANT! :D

I'll let you all know as soon you can start voting for my outfit, the outfit with the most votes wins the style-off competition.

Anyways, Here's a quick outfit post :)

Got my hands on this super cute blousy Peplum top from LOFT on sale, Decided to pair it with a color pop yellow pant and gold statement necklace. and it's still a bit chilly outside so thru on my jacket. However lately the weather has been amazing! SO WARM! Summer's here ya'll! :P

Oh and I booked a ticket back home to Sweden tonight, I haven't purchased it yet but I have it on hold so hopefully I'll be able to purchase it by the end of this week, man, it's so expensive and I'm only staying a week, that's all I can afford. Tickets are $1180 right now. It's so hurting my wallet.

Hey Babes!

Hope all is well, can't believe its MAY already!

It's been more than a year now since I moved here from Sweden. I miss home, I miss my Mom and Dad, I want to hug them again and feel their parenting loving touch you know. So I can feel a little like a child again, here in the U.S. all by myself...I mean I have friends and a new family here but...it's not completely the same. I miss old sister tasks, things that I do around my siblings. They are not here and I'm not there with them and it's breaking my heart. I NEED to go back home and see my family this summer, I MUST! Even if it means I'll be piss broke. Tickets to Sweden are SO expensive right now for June, it's insane! They usually go for around 700$ if you're lucky. Now the tickets from Newark Airport are around 1200$ *dying* WHY!!!!???? God...that is ONE month of pay for me working full time....I know...it's sad man....I work like a dog with shit pay...sorry JOB I love you but you're leaving me short here. AND my spending habits aren't helping me.

Fingers crossed I get my hands on a ticket soon.

Good news are that I finally got my GREEN CARD! YAY! :D

So I can now travel outside of the U.S. So there will be no need for an Advance Parole anymore. :)

Anyways, on to the outfit below. My favorite heels from Ann Taylor went on SALE the other day and with an extra 40% OFF I had to buy them. I've been wanting a classic and chic pair of heels like these for a long time. Such a steal. Reg. price 118$ and got them on sale for 42$.

Love how it elevates a everyday comfortable look and makes it super chic. Jeans and a printed tee, add heels and a statement necklace and VOILA.

Hej Hej!

Yesterday I met up with my girl Shainna from A Thick Girls Closet for an early dinner date at CPK (tradition) and a stroll around the mall, we did some damage, well deserved though. Girls need to get to shop every once and a while ;) It was a nice treat!

We had a lot of catching up to do, and we both can't wait for FFFWeek. It's going to be so much fun!

Decided to wear my new tunic from HM's newest collection "THE ICON" it's a size EU 44 and fits perfect! So happy! Often worry and assume nowadays that a size EU 44 or US 14 is gonna fit to small now when I'm in between sizes. But this tunic is loose and has a over size fit so it's perfect! Aah! Love HM! Love love love...
You guys definitely need to check out their new collection!

This outfit was perfect for this day, especially when you're gonna have dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and then walk around the mall, Leggings and a tunic is the way to go ;)
And Shainna wore this super chic and vibrant print maxi dress from HM that she looked amazing in! Love the bag too, you can never go wrong with GUCCI.

Hej alla Svenska lasare!

Som sagt, nagan vecka sedan fick jag reda pa att JAG ar del av "The Fashion Front" at Full Figured Fashion Week 2013! Jag ar sa himla excited! Jag vart valt av mer an 100 sokande att fa vara del av denna lilla grupp av 11 plus size mode bloggare! Kan inte fatta de! Kanner mig sa himla speciell och tacksam att jag kommer fa vara i fronten och tacka allt som hander under denna mode vecka i New York City. OOTD: Repeated Blue

Hej Hej!

So a week ago I went thrift shopping with Autumn Boo and this button down shirt is one of our fabulous finds, Autumn found it first, I was lucky because I would have missed it myself. It fits perfectly!

Decided to tie it in the waist and pair it with a high waist skirt in the same blue shade, statement necklace and voila! :) Also I got a hair cut, no more un-even parts. When I originally cut it one side was shorter (shoulder length) and the other side a bit longer but as it have been growing longer it just looks weird now. haha. So, I like this cut, some layers that I can play around with. It's going to grow awesome now and always look nice as it does.

Me!? FFFWeek Fashion Front!?

Hi Lovelies!

I have some exciting news! I was chosen to be a part of the Fashion Front for Full Figure Fashion Week this June in NYC!

With so many application for this desired position I feel extremely humbled and I am super grateful for have being chosen, I can not express just HOW excited I am for this FFFWeek 17th - 22nd of June. I've been lucky enough to been able to attend the FFFWeek the two previous years, first time I was here on vacation during that time and last summer I'd just moved here in March. Last summer I didn't have the chance to attend all the events but this year I will and I will be in the fore front of it all to be able to share with you all, lovely readers and followers. You guys are awesome! ;) and I can't wait to share this experience with you all.

OMG! Can't wait meet new people, witness fabulous plus size fashion strut down the runways, meet fellow bloggers, plus size models, etc etc etc. :P AAAAH!!! SO EXCITED!!

OOTD: Baby Blue

Hej Hej!

Quick outfit post, this is what I wore this Sunday when me and my friend were out Thrift Shopping.

Decided to go simple and comfortable, this printed top is one of my favorites! As soon as we got a size XL in store (Ann Taylor, where I work) I grabbed it, super excited, because for the longest time we didn't have XL and I kept checking it. FINALLY! :D

Decided to elevate this simple outfit with my new statement necklace from Ur and Penn, an amazing Swedish accessory and watch store that recently opened up in Garden state plaza mall in Paramus, NJ (the mall that I work in.) it was only 4.99$ LOVE!!

The jacket that I literally LIVE in is a size XL from UNIQLO, fits amazingly with room to spare, I highly recommend it, even if you're a size US 18 you will be able to fit into it. And trust me I have the hardest frikkin' time to find jackets that fit me that are straight size XL because I have big arms and chest. So I love this one. Also I LIVE in these nude flats from work, super comfortable and soft and they are on SALE now too ;) A great steal in many different cute colors. As you can see Ive been wearing these flats in my 3 latest outfit posts, hehe.

Thrift Shop

"I'm gonna pop some tags, only got 20$ in my pocket!"

That was mine and Autumns theme song for this Sunday when we went thrift shopping in Jersey. My first time thrift shopping in the U.S. and it was a blast. Always have a blast with my Autumn Boo!

I often used to go thrift shopping with my friend back in Sweden (Therese! Shout out! ELLO! Saknar dig!) We always used to go to Red Cross. It's just fun to make awesome cheap finds! I really don't mind secondhand clothes! I love making vintage fashion finds! :)

So my first thrift shopping experience in the U.S. was awesome, the magnitude of things and clothes is just crazy! ENDLESS! So many cool stuff. One of many things I bought was a pair of super cute baby pink kitten heels, channeling my inner Barbie ;) IT WAS 99 CENT! Almost, haha, 1.99$. (Half off the sale price, love it!) Ended the night with dinner at Texas Longhorn and had a huge steak, it was yummy!

OOTD: Updates

Hi Everyone!

Here comes just a quick little update and Outfit post :) Life is same old same old up until today, I've gotten some important things done today.

Sent in my applications to US immigration, I have to renew my Employment Authorization card, because it expires in July and you can only apply to renew it 90 days ahead so I've gotten that sent it now which is a huge load off my shoulders because I do NOT want to have my Working card expire without having renewed it in time. I can not imagine having to stop working, I love working :P haha! I know by now that it can take some time since I've been waiting close to 1 whole year for my Green Card, still now word or sign of it. But I'm patiently waiting :). Also I've applied for an Advance Parole card so that I can travel outside of the U.S. I should have done this long time ago but I never thought I'd need it, because I thought the Green Card process would take much quicker and not close to a whole year.

I really want to be able to travel back home this summer because my sister graduates High school. :) also to see my family, I miss them so! I haven't seen my mom and day for more than a year now. *tears* Imagine! Omg, also miss my old friends.

Also got some exciting news today, I wanted to scream out of excitement and joy!

The Crochet Cardigan

Hi Everyone!

Just spotted these fabulous looks on Forever21's website, I remember the old days when their plus size line was called Faith, and since their line was come a long way. Wouldn't you say? :)

At LOOKS WE LOVE these fashion forward and trendy pieces shine! I wish I could own every piece because you could do so much with it, mix and match and combine, the way of doing that would be endless. It also makes me realize I need to organize through my wardrobe, I probably have more pieces than I think that I could do this very thing with, combine, mix and match.

I love all these looks, especially the details, like wearing two belts together, color blocking, wearing ankle boots with short shorts, and wearing harem pants with a slouchy top. Super stylish!
It truly fuels my inspiration to what to wear next and what to try out. Dares me to take fashion risks and experiment. Can't wait.

While my fairly new computer has been pissing me off, not connecting to the internet properly (I don't get it, it's driving me crazy) I took the time to put together this outfit instead. :) Scored this awesome jacket from HM's Conscious collection, so happy the size EU 44 fit, because sometimes jackets from HM especially fit tight around the arms and chest. Love this one!

Also, of course I love my dear stilettos from Torrid as well! :P

OOTD: Happy Easter

Hi Peeps!
Hope you all had a great Easter weekend. My Easter Sunday was nice, calm, and relaxing. We had a family Easter dinner, Maggie Moos Ice cream cupcakes, and Chocolate Bunnies with more candy. I'm not a candy person but that chocolate bunny was pretty damn good :) Not to mention the Easter dinner, yum! Easter in general hasn't been a big celebration of mine, but it is a nice tradition I guess. Back home in Sweden all I wanted to do on Easter was to work on those sacred holidays because we got double pay those days LOL.

So for this holiday in mind I decided to wear my yellow skinny jeans and black and yellow polka dot top, because Easter makes me think of little yellow chickens. :) So wearing Yellow felt right.

Hi Babes!

Just another quick outfit post :) When I saw this top from Liz Claiborne (yea, who knew) available at JcPenny, I just had to have it! I knew just what I wanted to pair it with, a nice eye-catching statement necklace and everyday chic denim jeans. Voila! Easy!

And as Spring is just around the corner, I loooove wearing white tennis shoes, I don't know what it is but...it just feels right. May it be convers or like these loafer-esc ones, haha, I don't know what to call them. They look like TOMS, but they are not...of course ;) I snatched these on SALE for 10$.

ALSO, these jeans are from Simply Vera for Vera Wang, available at Kohls, comfortable cropped jeans perfect for the season! In size 16, and I'm so excited and happy they fit! :D

Another Outfit post Woot woot! I'm so proud over myself for picking up my more frequent posting habit because I love it! I've always had the excuse that I don't have time or energy, but...when it comes to fashion...there's always time! And it's rewarding at the end too...

I love dressing up, it just makes you feel so much better and more confident. Lately I've been dragging around in the same clothes for days lol :P Leggings and over-size knit top. Or mostly an all black Barista outfit with apron going back and fort to work.

Decided to rock my new White Crochet top from Ann Taylor, love love this one! It's so comfortable and a short sleeve, perfect for Spring and Summer! Wanted to pair it with my fairly new printed pants from Target! These are also super comfortable, I went with a size 18 instead of 16 because of a zipper issue, so the size 18 does stretch out a bit but they are still comfortable and flattering. I highly recommend them to anybody that are looking to buy a stretchy ankle length pant. They come in solid colors too :)
