As the market begins to heat up, properties are seeing multiple offers. So how do you stand out instead of being just a credit score, a down payment, and an approval letter? Consider this. Write a personal letter to the owner of the property. This is something that many buyers forget. There is a notion that buying / selling real estate is purely business. However, there is a key personal element to the real estate transaction that is often missed. Most owners want to get an idea of who the new buyer is – unfiltered by their agent. They want to know that the same love and appreciation will make their property truly a home for the next owner and not just a piece of real estate. Some tips for buyers writing to sellers is, what was your very first impression when you walked through the front door? What gave you the “wow” factor? What are you in love with? You have already heard that adage you never get a second chance to make a first impression. Consider writing a letter to the sellers in making that first impression count.
