as you’ve noticed by now, it’s been a while since I’ve shot any art nudes.  I’m starting to really miss it.  Feeling as though my soul needs to be out in nature, shooting and creating art again. I can’t wait to make that first image, and the next, and the next, and the next……

This is in order for me to take the time I need to really figure out the decisions that need to be made. I’ve received such a wonderful outpouring of love and support and for that I thank all of you.

So just to reassure all of you, I am not quitting and I really didn’t intend on quitting so if it sounded that way I apologize. I think that I overreacted slightly to my situation. This blog is about a behind-the-scenes look at the life of a photographer who’s primary focus is on artistic nudes. So you can expect me to reveal my emotions when they take over my rationale.

I am a photographer and will always be one. No matter what happens, I now know that there will always be a camera in my life and that thought comforts me and makes me happy.

I am truly grateful for the support and love that you have shown me. And gratitude for the love you have shown to the art that many of my friends and I have worked so hard to create.

Earlier today I was dealt a pretty heavy blow. One, that I’m unfortunate to say, will take me a while to recover from. At the moment, I must stop shooting art nudes. This was not an easy decision for me to make. As I thought about it, I thought about all the people who have become friends because of this. I thought about all the things I learned. Not just about photography, but about life, and even myself in the process. I also thought about all the fans who write me every week to say wonderful things about the work.

It saddens me to make this decision and as I write this I am crying because this has been a great dream of mine for many years. And something that was not easy for me to make happen. But I made it happen. I was able to find a way to make my greatest dream a reality and now to see the dream slipping away makes me sad.

But as an artist I know that this is not an end of art from me. I will continue to post art nudes I have already shot, and I will continue to upload images to my members area because I have a stockpile of images that have not yet been posted. I am not giving up photography for good though. I will continue to shot landscapes and I will continue to teach those who wish to learn about photography. I also feel that this may be the chance for me to pause, take a deep breath and reflect on the past and see a new way to continue this dream.

Again, I extend heartfelt thanks and lots of aloha to everyone who has supported me in this dream and those that continue to do so…

The first shoot was done in desert location.  Lots of rocks, cacti, and of course lots of sunshine!  It was quite warm but not too bad.  THe second shoot was done in an old western town.  really old, rundown, wooden structures and we ended that shoot on an empty road.   Both shoots were great fun and as always I got some great shots in the process.

I love Hawaii, but it’s just different here in Az.  I”m hoping that tomorrow will be cool and that the rattlers don’t get me!
