Sooryavanshi Movie Review

Following Singham Returns and Simmba, it was clear that Rohit Shetty's cop actioners were in desperate need of some policing. Sooryavanshi, the fourth book in the series, seeks a course correction. The outcomes are, at best, mediocre. Some sections of the movie are solid, while others are a little too starchy.

Shetty himself 'created' the movement once more. As a result, Sooryavanshi has seen its fair share of cars blow up, turn turtle, or ram into cleverly placed barriers. We saw the greatest of such exploits in Singham a decade ago. Nothing that Sooryavanshi does in terms of the action takes us by surprise. Aside from that, the film takes its time laying out the intricate intricacies of the hero's mission: preventing a repeat of the 1993 Mumbai serial bombings.

Synopsis:

Sooryavanshi is much quieter than Singham. It's more of a standard cop procedural than a crusading cop battling a corrupt system drama. The hero, a seasoned member of the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), has his work cut out for him. A group of terrorists from across the border are still hiding and biding their time in various districts of India.

Worse, intelligence reports suggest that one tonne of RDX was smuggled into Mumbai in the 1990s, but only half of it was used in the March 12, 1993, serial attacks. The rest of the explosives are hidden somewhere, ready to be used in the next major terror attack.

Riyaz Hafeez (Abhimanyu Singh, in his second Diwali weekend release after the Rajini-starrer Annaatthe), the son of Lashkar chief Omar Hafeez, commands the sleeper cells (Jackie Shroff). The narrative of Sooryavanshi revolves around a police effort to locate hidden RDX and neutralize sleeper cells.

Kumud Mishra Entry:

Sooryavanshi and his troops are up against a slew of other terrorists, some of whom are based in India and others in POK. Bilal Ahmed (Kumud Mishra), one of the individuals who escaped after the 1993 serial blasts despite the best efforts of Mumbai Police Officer Kabir Shroff, is among them (Jaaved Jaffrey). The opponent can be found both inside and outside the building. As a result, the action occasionally moves outside of India, most notably to Bangkok, where the hero is involved in a car, helicopter, and ski boat chase that concludes in the hero apprehending a man (Sikandar Kher) suspected of assisting a terrorist.

Early in the film:

Someone refers to the protagonist of the film as paagal early on (insane). However, this uniformed officer, who has been ordered to locate the 600 kg of RDX that has been missing for 27 years after landing in India, does not quite fit that description. He's a straight-laced, hardworking cop. He doesn't have a smidgeon of insanity in him.

Veer Sooryavanshi, unlike Bajirao Singham, isn't prone to flying off the handle in the "aata maajhi satakli" fashion, but he is normally quick on the draw and dislikes waiting for orders from his superiors. His estrangement with his doctor-wife Ria is the result of one such episode of haste (Katrina Kaif).

Run into Katrina Kaif:

When Sooryavanshi checks into a hospital with a bullet wound, their love tale begins. Ria looks after him. He is smitten with her. They tie the knot. After a few years, the couple divorces because he prioritizes duty before family. It's simple to understand why. He is a true-blue fighter who values his country above all else.

At the drop of a hat, he bursts into indignant lectures. He even harps on the importance of communal harmony. Before drawing the trigger, the Mumbai police do not look at a man's faith, only his criminal past, he claims to be a pickpocket-turned-religious leader played by Gulshan Grover.

Sooryavanshi holds up a former associate Naeem Khan (Rajendra Gupta), who served the police force with distinction for 30 years, as a contrast to a suspect who has been summoned to the ATS headquarters for questioning in a sanctimonious scene aimed at underlining the difference between a patriotic Muslim and a perfidious one, something that Hindi cinema never tires of doing while merrily carrying on with its stereotyping of a community

As if that weren't enough, another image shows a maulvi and his men taking a Ganpati idol to safety after word gets out that a bomb has been set near a temple and a mosque. o get a rise out of the audience, Chhodo kal ki baatein kal ki baat purani/Naye daur mein likhenge milkar nayin kahani hum Hindustani (from the 1961 Hindi film Hum Hindustani) plays on the soundtrack. You desperately want to warm up to the sentiment. Unfortunately, it does not ring true.

Second Half:

The film brings back the heroes from both Singham and Simmba to fight the terrorists alongside Sooryavanshi in the second half. As the three men team up for the climax in the ATS building, the in-jokes fly thick and fast.

Bhalerao gets on the other two's nerves and has been brusquely ticked off a few times. "I believe you're both envious of me. Apna time aayega, koi baat nahi," He responds with a rejoinder. Ranveer Singh, on the other hand, has a habit of stealing the spotlight from more experienced actors.

From Bell Bottom to Sooryavanshi, Akshay Kumar's performance is only a hop and a skip from one set to the next. His gait, as always, is a veritable stunt in and of itself: a combination between a catwalk model and a superhero preparing to take flight. It's directed at his followers. Who are we to complain if it works for them?

Katrina Kaif does a fantastic Tip tip barsa paani rejig. However, in a film dominated by three larger-than-life cops hawking their wares, a doctor is left with little choice but to deal with the aftermath of a failed marriage.

Conclusion:

Sooryavanshi, in the same way, that Simmba hinted at what was to come in the following installment, hints at what the future might contain for the Rohit Shetty cop universe. Prepare for another cops-versus-terrorists showdown, with Jackie Shroff's character getting more screen time than he did here. That could be something to anticipate.

Finally, the million-dollar question: is Sooryavanshi the film that Bollywood's post-pandemic era has been waiting for? Well, almost, is the answer.

YRKKH: Abhimanyu realizes his love for Akshara

Recently, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai underwent a huge transformation. Kartik-Naira/Sirat came to an end. Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi were praised for their on-screen relationship and performance. It was not simple for Mohsin and Shivangi to accomplish what they achieved. However, as Abhimanyu and Akshara, Harshad Chopda, and Pranali Rathod have done it. On-screen, Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod are a fantastic match, and we're adoring #AbhiRa.

Today, Neel notifies Abhimanyu about a new location and invites him to join them for the evening. Abhimanyu is preoccupied with the idea of informing his mother about Akshara and her family as soon as possible. Aarohi makes an attempt to make eye contact with Abhimanyu, but he is preoccupied with Akshara and their friendship.

When Akshara(Pranali Rathod) notices that Abhimanyu(Harshad Chopda) has a strong relationship with his stepbrother Neel, who pledges to provide him a new phone when Aarohi(Karishma Sawant) damages his mobile unintentionally. Suvarna and Suhasini later decide to meet Abhimanyu at the mask festival in order to resolve Akshara's marriage problems.

While Neel tells everyone that this is the first time he has seen Abhimanyu smile, Akshara and others take pictures together. In the meantime, Aarohi develops feelings for Abhimanyu and decides to separate him from Akshara. Manjiri is questioned by Mamta for talking to Suvarna about Abhimanyu back at the Birla mansion. Manjiri is upset after Mamta speaks to her in an unfriendly manner.

In addition, Akshara and Abhimanyu sit together and discuss their perspectives on love. After witnessing the mask festival, Abhimanyu informs Akshara that his perspective has entirely changed. Akshara admires Abhimanyu for altering his cognitive process, but she is perplexed by her emotions. Abhimanyu, on the other hand, finds it difficult to comprehend that he has fallen in love with Akshara in such a short period of time, but he soon realizes that he has found his better half. Both Akshara and Aarohi consider Abhimanyu and love his qualities.

Hope Mikaelson's path to becoming the Tribrid was a long one, but Legacies saw it through. Hope was able to dispose of Malivore quickly now that she possessed the powers of a vampire, wolf, and witch, though it came at the expense of killing the one person she usually tries to keep from dying: Landon. Hope saved the day, at least temporarily, because being forced to kill Landon, combined with her newfound powers, convinced her to become the Salvatore school's biggest villain yet. The students are dealing with Hope, but luckily, Rebekah Mikaelson is on her way.

Claire Holt's arrival in Legacies is imminent, and The CW series has released a brief trailer depicting Rebekah after her niece's transformation from good to bad. Check out the trailer for "I Thought You'd Be Happier To See Me" below, which shows Hope wreaking havoc.

Legacies showed Alaric and Hope having a heated exchange in the final moments of the most recent episode, so it's no surprise she attacked him. The good news is that the trailer showed Josie and Lizzie in a couple of hospital scenes, implying that Alaric isn't dead yet. However, he appears to be down for the count, which could explain why another well-known character like Rebekah Mikaelson appeared at just the perfect moment.

Hope's transformation was slowed significantly by the fact that Malivore's minion Kaleb (Chris Lee) had seized her dead corpse and imprisoned it in a train depot. Hope escaped through the glass window with relative ease, knocking out Kaleb, saving Alaric (Matthew Davis) from more Malivore minions, and feeding off of her mentor/adopted father, which was the final piece of the vampire puzzle. Malivore then dared to exhibit his Landon-like features, only to transform into Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) for real. He and Hope kissed one last time before she Buffy-style stabbed him in the heart. Hope's humanity switch went off once Landon/Malivore died and all the minions snapped out of it.

According to the episode description for the forthcoming Legacies episode, Rebekah will attempt to communicate with her niece and will most likely try to persuade her not to continue down the dark path she has chosen thus far. Hope is the most autonomous of the Salvatore school kids, and she rarely does anything without coming to a resolution on her own. It's difficult to predict how successful she'll be. In the worlds of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, Rebekah is a legend, but fans are skeptical that she will be able to persuade her obstinate niece.

Conclusion:

Hope Mikaelson is scheduled to be the next villain on Legacies for at least one week, which isn't an unusual occurrence. Dark Josie came dangerously close to destroying the Salvatore school and killing a few people. Josie was given a pass and was reunited with her pals, and even her alter-ego has matured to the point where she can appear without causing havoc. Hope seems destined to settle down and gain a better understanding of the great power she wields, though I suppose we'll all be surprised in the following weeks. The only thing I won't accept at this point is that Landon is truly dead because he's already died too many times for me to believe otherwise.

Five Indian soldiers were murdered in a territorial offensive last week, and the Indian army is still searching for them. As a result, Team India is calling for a boycott of the World Cup match against Pakistan. The family members of the deceased troops told the TV9 Bharatvarsha channel that cricket is not more important than the martyrs.

Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan arrest

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) detained actor Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan, and three others on October 3 afternoon after hours of interrogation following a drug bust on board a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai. Five more people were seized and questioned. Mr. Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmum Dhamecha have been remanded in the custody of the NCB till October 4.

Mr Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmum Dhamecha were arrested and taken to Sir J.J. Hospital for medical exams before being returned to the NCB office. They were charged under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, Sections 8C, 20B, and 27 read with Section 35. Sections 8 (c) and 20 (b) deal with drug possession, purchase, sale, and transportation; section 27 deals with drug use; and section 35 deals with drug dealing intent.

On October 3 evening, the three were brought before a court, which remanded them in NCB custody until October 4.

Officials from the NCB say they found 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of MD, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA, and Rs. 1.33 lakh in cash. Raids for information on suppliers have also been conducted in the Belapur district of Navi Mumbai based on the information.

Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, and Gomit Chopra were also detained for questioning after an NCB mid-sea raid on board the Cordelia Cruise on its route to Goa on October 2nd.

According to agency sources, they received a tip about a party being held on the cruise by a private lifestyle and fashion channel, to which many VIPs were invited, roughly a fortnight ago. Following that, 22 NCB officials were invited to board the ship as passengers. Over 1,800 people were expected to be on board, and NCB officials are expected to summon the party's organizer for questioning, according to reports.

"We had confidential information that needed to be validated, so we disguised ourselves and boarded the ship. We performed the raid after validating the information and captured eight persons. We're gathering further information regarding the drug's origins. The entire case will be divided into layers, and this is only the first. More persons may be detained and arrested in the coming days "NCB Chairman S.N. Pradhan stated.

Quinton de Kock (born 17 December 1992) is a former captain of the Proteas in all three formats and a South African international cricketer. He has played domestically for the Titans, in the Indian Premier League for the Mumbai Indians, and internationally for South Africa. He was selected Cricketer of the Year at Cricket South Africa's 2017 Annual Awards.

De Kock made his domestic debut with the Highveld Lions in the 2012/2013 season as an opening batsman and wicketkeeper. When he and Neil McKenzie performed in a match-winning partnership in the Champions League T20 against the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, he instantly drew the attention of the national selectors (IPL). Despite playing only six of the ten matches that summer, he finished fourth in the first-class standings.

Quinton de Kock made his debut for Gauteng as a 16-year-old in South Africa's first-class arena in 2009. De Kock, a left-handed batsman, and wicketkeeper was a key player of South Africa's Under-19 team at the 2012 ICC Under-19 World Cup in Townsville.

Quinton de Kock's IPL success:

His squad finished third in the competition after a tenacious fifty in the third-place play-off against New Zealand. He was added to the Lions' T20 team for the Champions League in late 2012 after representing them in their home T20 competition. The selectors were so impressed with his performance that they recruited him into South Africa's T20I team for the next year's series against New Zealand. Later that year, he was selected by the Hyderabad franchise for the Indian T20 League.

He was at his finest in the year 2013. In the ODI series against New Zealand, he was selected as a replacement wicketkeeper for AB de Villers. Though his performance wasn't particularly memorable, there was something about this young man that drew the selectors in. De Kock began to show his true colors later in the year. He stated that he was finally ready to take the world by storm when he scored his first century in ODIs against Pakistan, and he accomplished just that when the Indians came calling later in the year. De Kock scored 300 runs in the three-match ODI series that followed, the most by any batter in a three-match bilateral series. He was purchased by the Delhi franchise in 2014 and will play for them in the Indian T20 League's seventh edition.

De Kock is still just in his teens, so time is on his side, and if he stays fit and healthy, he might be South Africa's and international cricket's next big thing.

He begins the batting for the Mumbai Indians and is one of the most entertaining wicket-keeper batsmen in the world. The left-handed batsman enjoys attacking bowlers, and his style of play is well-suited to the shorter version of the game.

Quinton de Kock had a fantastic 2020 season, hitting 503 runs at the top of the order, including four half-centuries. The left-hander has a fantastic rapport with his opening partner, Rohit Sharma, and his explosive hitting helps the MI skipper at the other end. MI's success will be determined by his form and performance.

Parts of Bhoot Police Movie are entertaining. It has the necessary humorous components, but the picture drags in other areas. The chills will come from Bhoot Police Movie, but the uneven writing will draw you away.

Horror is a genre in which Bollywood has struggled to find success. Several filmmakers have recently dabbled with the horror-comedy genre, with only a few films succeeding in finding the sweet spot. Stree, with its biting feminist comment on the age-old fear of daring and eager women, was arguably the most unforgettable of them all. Bhoot Police is the latest film from a director who has previously experimented with the horror genre (Ragini MMS, Darr @ The Mall, and Phobia). This is the first time that director Pavan Kripalani has dabbled in the horror-comedy genre. Is it our 'andhvishwas' that allows us to believe in something that isn't palpable, or do ghosts exist? Bhoot Police is based on this theme and keeps viewers amused with hilarious one-liners and regular spooks (or at least they have tried).

Bhoot Police Movie Plot:

Two ghostbuster brothers, Vibhooti Baba (Saif Ali Khan) and Chiraunji Baba (Arjun Kapoor), star in the film. While one (Vibhooti) enjoys defrauding people for money under the guise of removing ghosts, the other (Chiraunji) is dissatisfied with this way of life. He tries to persuade his brother to take on a "serious case," claiming that they are tantriks with a greater mission. Maya (Yami Gautam) comes looking for Ullat Baba since her tea estate has a Kichkandi. Vibhooti and Chiraunji's father, Ullat Baba, helped them get rid of the spirit 27 years ago. When Maya returns in pursuit of him, she instead encounters his sons. They obviously agree to assist. When the Ghostbusters arrive at the Silawar Tea Estate, they discover some unexpected twists in the storey.

Characters:

The makers introduce us to the characters of Chedilal (Jaaved Jaaferi), Google Baba (Rajpal Yadav), and Hari Kumar to add to the comedic element (Amit Mistry). However, it only partially accomplishes the goal.

Parts of Bhoot Police are entertaining. It has the necessary humorous components, but the picture drags in other areas. The chills will come from Bhoot Police, but the uneven writing will draw you away. This could have been an intriguing watch if the editing had been crisper and the content more coherent. It's a little disheartening when the age-old gimmicks and exercises come into play in some places. Saif Ali Khan is unquestionably the film's highlight.

Songs:

BHOOT POLICE is a film with no songs. The song 'Aayi Aayi Bhoot Police' is played in the end credits, but the songs 'Mujhe Pyaar Aaya Hai' and 'Raat Gayi' are not featured in the storey. It's fantastic that the performers don't break out into song and dance, and that the emotional tension between the two leads is presented tastefully. The background score by Clinton Cerejo is fantastic, and Anirban Sengupta's sound design deserves special notice. It adds to the film's eerie atmosphere.

Now for the big question: should you see this movie? Bhoot Police isn't Stree, but it's worth checking out if you're seeking a change of pace from the usual serious and nerve-wracking fare. Saif Ali Khan, of course, is another reason to switch to Disney+Hotstar's Bhoot Police.
